It could be alot of factors! Like the heat setting or the products you are using. Have patience with it because the results are amazing :)

Heats up super quick, within a minute! Even on the highest setting.
What size blades do you use and what setting?
Just seeing this! I use the 3000 which is 1”. I try not to use the highest setting but if you have a great heat protectant I would do 340 degrees
