Your first flat iron curl video was the one I learned by. Thank you! That technique is my go to when I'm in a hurry. I can do it faster than a wand. Also comes in handy when going on vacation and only having to bring one tool. 😊

Any idea why doing this straightens my hair? lol I have the technique doen pat, but for some reason my hair responds to the smoothing power of the iron and just makes it flat and smooth with no curl in sight! A bit of a wave that is mostly to my desperate twisting motion directly adter releasing it though! Sigh. I would love to be able to get the smooth curls this method promises to provide but it seems to be either curling iron for curls, or straightener for straight hair :(

anyone else always just end up having a full blown panic attack because they can’t ever get these hair tutorials right 💀
Right after you use the iron, roll it up with your fingers and pin the section, while it still has heat left. Then do other ones. Keep them pinned for 20-30 minutes. Use hair sprays to set them. Then take them out. It will give you great result. My hair is very thick and straight, it never curl that easily either. So this is what I do if I want to add some curls.
Edit: ok, I see she has mentioned this tip at the end of her video. That will work if nothing else does.
