- The updated Isle of Wight add-on is, in my opinion, the only good Rivet Games product for TSW. It features a modernised version of the Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin line, as well as the unique Class 484; an all-electric variant of the VivaRail 'D-Train' (and rebuilt from ex-London Underground D78 stock).
I wanted to update my old review of this add-on, which had too many irrelevant cutaways and filler.

This is a great review, very insightful and useful. I've been considering getting this but had nothing really to go on, these videos are excellent for that.
If the steam railway was there it would be worth the £15
You can change the destination but it’s on the buttons by the phone.

You can change the destination by pressing the up or down arrows on the comm pad. Strange but that’s how to do it.
This review came at the right time I was thinking of getting it after this and now it is on sale 👍

5:01 where did you get that route and LSWR 02 from?
Both downloaded from UKTrainSim; the route was called 'IOW Network V7', I think. Although UKTS is now gone, the route has been archived:

Where did you get the IOW steam era route? And what DLC'S do i need?
It's on UKTS, and it looks like the original IOW route from Steam is the only payware DLC you'll need. But there are some additional asset packs that are also on UKTS.

Your videos really give me a thorough view on most TSW routes. Just wanted to get your opinion, but do you think the updated timetable and some bug fixes to NY - Trenton could possibly be the savior of the route?
The updates still don't change the fact that the route was initially released in an awful state, and Dovetail should be ashamed of themselves for that fiasco. The new timetable should be a welcome improvement, but what they should be doing is adding more NJT motive power (especially the Arrow 3 along with the Princeton Branch).
@ThatTrainspotterFromTauranga Am I the only one or this line has literally NO and I mean NO AWS/DSD triggers AT ALL?. I mean don't get me wrong I genuinely LOVE this route and driving the Class 484 but there's no AWS/DSD triggers on the tracks let alone in the entire line... Why is that?.
It's because there are no AWS magnets anywhere on this line.

I haven't really got a favourite. But my least favourite is either the Long Island Railroad or München to Augsburg.

The doors do take that long to open
They need to extend the line just a little bit it's a very nice route but short
This is how it is in real life. They can't extend past Shanklin because the land immediately south of the station was completely redeveloped.
The real route in modern day is that short. There's nothing to add. It had much more trackage in an older time period but all of that no longer exists in modern day.

They could have the steam railway probably as a £10 extra add on from smallbrook junction and for at least 1 or 2 new locomotives
