- Here are the filming locations from Halloween (1978)! Had a lot of fun re-visiting these places again and I'm happy that I was able to film them this time around to share with all of you!

Great film locations review. I was just there last weekend to both South Pasadena and West Hollywood. I live about 2.5 hours away from South Pasadena, and I usually go there in the spring time and the months of September and October, and maybe in November. I was there with a tour group during the HALLOWEEN: 35 YEARS OF TERROR hosted by Sean Clark.

Great guys … best match up of the locations I've seen. The California houses used in the movie are very much like the ones in the real Haddonfield, New Jersey … especially the one where producer Debra Hill lived. Two road blocks and an all points bulletin wouldn't stop a 5 year old.
wonder if there are any of those "classic" station wagons still around..the ones where u pulled into gas station and said check the gas and fill the oil ! it would be cool if someone restored one to resemble mikeys hot rod cool tour by the way !!!
our family used to drive through the southern California desert near Amboy CA, and there was a creepy gas station out there in a town that consisted of nothing more than a post office, gas station, and a small motel. I remember one time I saw an old station wagon like the one in the movie and it was pretty creepy just seeing it there out in an abandoned gas station, it made me think of maybe Michael Myers hiding out there in the desert. We drove out of there faster than a jack rabbit.
To which avenue did you refer when saying "this is next to one of the busiest avenues in Hollywood". thxs!

what street is the "speed kills" scene on?
I heard that the Wallace house and Doyle House inside scenes were done in other homes on this same street. The outside scenes were these homes of course. Also, in Halloween, Michael Myers appeared to fall off the balcony on the side or back of the home, not the front. When they recreated the scene in Halloween II, Michael fell out of the front and landed in the front yard. However, where was the cement walkway leading to the door? The grass was also too green in the recreated scene in Halloween II. When you watch the end of Halloween, Michael falls into the yard and you'll notice the yard has a dirt and grass mixture. No imprint could have been left in the grass.

I don’t know if they had to do this for Halloween as it was so long ago but the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan focused on a specific gravestone in a military cemetery. This was a relative of one of my co-workers. The studio actually contacted her family before they shot the scene asking for permission to use the gravestone in the shot. Wondering if they had to do the same thing for this movie. Somehow I doubt it but anyways.
I've always wanted to know where they filmed 1) Laurie looking down from her window and seeing the Shape by the clothes line. 2) Where the Shape was shot and fell from the Doyle house. It was not the front of the house like H2 reshot it, it was a totally different balcony. And would have been to the side of the house. Anyways, I can't find any info about those locations.

This is fine but would have been nice had you all described in more detail where these locations were. Apparently, in the movie they used different road name signage, so 'Genesse Ave' was actually Hope St. or something... I wish we could get a 'mapping' between the movie roads vs. the actual location road names. Thanks.

Well people try it but it's not as great as in America and it's not an official feast over here:( I hope one day in my life I can go to the united states around Halloween time when I have enough money!
