I just watched Heather of The Kneady Homesteader and her video on what she loves and doesn't love to can. She said you are fantastic so I headed over here and just subscribed. I look forward to watching your videos!
Heather is the one that pushed me on to UA-cam! Here I am! I love her and been watching her forever!
Exactly what I would have wrote, and you did!
Same here! 🌻
Ditto!
Yep, me too! New subbie here ❣️ Thanks Kneady ❣️
Ok, now I am super excited for your sweet and sour sauce video!!!! 😆👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Fantastic video, Sis and thanks again for including me. ♥️
I love that Sweet n Sour sauce! My heart is full and glad you could be apart of this wonderful collaboration!
I laughed so hard when you talked about swiss chard! with you on pickles; when we came back from Spain where for 2.5 years I did not get ONE pickle spear with a sandwich I went hella crazy canning pickles. Took us 4 years to eat them all and Vern would say " oh a pickle spear with beef stroganoff; OK" . GREAT tips on how to use your jars for different meals too.
I’m glad someone heard what I was saying about canning Swiss chard! Thanks MouseToes for being apart of this collaboration! Everyone needs to watch your video! I loved that message of canning safely!
I came over from That 1870's Homestead and she said you were great. I just watched you and I really like your honesty and your do's and don'ts'. I grew green beans, canned 119 pints jars and was very proud of myself until I re-read the instructions. I only pressured canned for 10 minutes. I had to toss all 119 jars out and I still have not grown any green beans and that was 10 years ago. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Rhonda for sharing that very sad story! Maybe this will be the year you do can Green beans again! I can easily a hundred jars of either quart or pints and half size jars! I’m so glad you are here! Welcome!
All the best,
LeAnne
😢
I came over from Mouse Toes and I'm really glad I did. I feel a binge watch coming on. Thanks for doing reviving this collaboration. Take your pinto beans, drain them off and add them to your taco meat. I've left them as they are and I've smashed them. It's a great meat stretcher and you are using up you beans.
OH great tip on the beans Judy Domke. This is such a GREAT channel I am glad you are going to binge watch her!
Thank you! That’s a great tip! I love MouseToes she always brighten my day when I watch her!
Oh I love this woman! When she doesn't like something, it is in her voice, her face, and her words! Love it! I will go back and watch more of her videos!
Thank you Deb for your very kind words! You’re absolutely right! I’m genuine.
@@MennoniteFarmhouse Thank you!
The will/won't can again are my favorite collaboration! So helpful as to how to improve or avoid wasting time and money.
Yes we can’t be wasting food or time!
I love my canned, pinto beans. We eat them often. Dehydrated are really good, too.
I'm glad I found your channel
Welcome, Abby, I’m so glad you are here!
LeAnne
Bought some wide mouth jars pints and quarts for meats!!! Do all types of meats even pike fish bones and all tastes like salmon almost!!!
That’s wonderful!
I love that you've made this an open collaboration. Some have been closed but like you I believe the more the merrier! Very gracious of you and I hope your channel finds great success!

Very interesting. Love it it helps us beginner canners. 👍😊
Yes! It’s handy to see what works for people!
I really enjoy watching and listening to your channel. I usually watch your videos while I'm quilting. ❤
That’s great! I’m putting a quilt together right now… of 12 inch Ohio stars. They were orphan blocks [20] that were hand pieced and hand sewn together that I bought at a Salvation Army fabric sale. I cut more blocks to make a good size quilt and I’m putting them on point.
I love how real you are! Just saying it like it is
That’s me… that’s how I was raised by my folks.
So happy I found this channel 🥰
Yay!!

Thank you Leanne for organizing this collaboration. Being a new canner this is so helpful. I love you channel.
Thank you! I thought it was so important with new canners like yourself to learn from what I have done. Just because canning is work and you don’t wanna waste time and or money in these projects!
Heather sent me here and I'm glad she did! Can't wait to watch a bunch of your videos! Subscribed!

I love canned goods! They are so handy to have on hand and make quick work of so many meals!
Charity,
I’m sure your mom taught you well on how to can! Canned goods are my fast food! God Bless!
LeAnne
2leelou sent me! Subscribed! Had to laugh over the Swiss chard and pickle discussion lol 👍
Welcome! I am so glad you are here. Yes Swiss Chard is not my favorite thing to can or eat!
Thanks for hosting this collab. I'm taking notes of things that are recommended and discouraged. When I evaluated my pickle consumption, I realized that I sliced them on burgers, chopped them to make tartar sauce and chopped them to make 1000 Island dressing. Trom that time on I decided to make Dill Relish instead. it meets works for all three uses. Canned pumpkin is on my ALWAYS list. I used it to make pies and pumpkin bread and feed it to the dog. The vet suggested it as a fiber source (nice firm turds). Draining the pumpkin doesn't bother me. I know if I want to bake with it I need to prep it the day before. I use up any leftover in Pumpkin Oatmeal. For me the best peeling technique is slice the pumpkin and then remove the peel from each slice using a knife. Yes, it is a little time consuming.
Thank Linda! I’m glad you are taking notes about on the topic! I’m glad you realize that about pickles. I rather can relish than pickles. I love the crunch of store bought pickles when I’m at a gathering! I might try your method of canning pumpkin. I just hate not using the whole jar when I open it. I don’t have dogs or chickens that would eat it. Thanks for watching!
LeAnne

Hi Leane this is Karen from South Jersey I'm 54 years old been in jersey all my life. I am coming over as an invite from Heather of the Kneady Homesteaders Channel. Nice to meet you 😊. I'm actually surprised that I never heard of your channel until I heard Heather mention you. Now that I'm here I'll be doing a marathon of your videos so I can catch up on your entire channel and looking forward to watching.
Thanks Karen! Believe it or not my very first UA-cam video was apart of The Inspired by Kneady series on her channel last spring! Heather asked me to make a video and how could I not do it for her! I showed how to make yogurt because in January 2021 she mentioned in a video she wanted to learn how to make it. Now 9 months later here I am! You will notice Heather spirit is in my videos maybe not the ones with strawberries but the rest is!!
nice sharing my new friend. keep up the good work.
Thank you friend!
What a treasure you are. Thank you for all the basic information and personal experience!
This comment made my day! Thanks for making me smile!

I really LOVE your personality 😂 straight forward, humble and funny. I appreciate your honesty tips & tricks to this canning journey.
Thank you so very much!
Thank-you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I'm always impressed with anyone who can can. Can Can LOL. I find it VERY nerve wracking as I don't want to do it wrong and grow bacteria by accident. You did a great job though!
Thank you! As long you handle to food safety and follow guidelines, possibly of food handling goes down. I’m a control freak and I rather not have people touching my food!
My mother canned something called 'mock olives', they had the texture and flavor of green olives, delicious!
That’s interesting!
Thanks for your sincerty
Thank you Bonnie for watching! I hope you learned something.
All the best,
LeAnne
I just watched the "kneady" too and showed up here!

Enjoying your channel very much. Thank you.!
Thank you Deb! Thanks for saying that!
So shocked that your beans didn't work. My husband and I love my canned beans. Not mushy and he loved them for his specialty, chili beans. Thanks for this collaboration.
Thanks Sally! I might try them again 2LeeLou Creates talked me into canning them again. Lots of comments I have had said to try them again. Thanks for watching this wonderful collaboration! I have personally watched all of them atleast once!
Hi honey. Pleade feel confident in sharing your canning videos. I am a 65 yr old experienced canner but love to watch and learn anything I can. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you for encouragement! I did 39 quarts of red beets last week with some help… thank goodness for help!
It surprised me how much I liked canned meat when I started. Also, just discovered cowboy candy. So good.😚
You just came up in my feed and I learned so much! I'm a new canner and find great benefit from hearing the mistakes experienced canners learned from. You don't learn much from accidental success... I appreciate you and your channel!
Thank you Dinah! I’m glad you enjoyed this! I hope share more what I learned to make canning more enjoyable and safely!
Welcome! I’m so glad you are here!
LeAnne
That problem with pickles persists here! I had to "clear shelf space" the other day. I was shocked how many pickles were there that were several years old.
I heard the other week any cucumber with seeds are too big for pickles… so maybe I will try next year.
Great video thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I’m with you on the pickles. I stopped making them years ago. If I want a pickle I just buy a small jar for my husband and myself. The things that I do can every year for my husband is corn relish and potatoes. Even as many years as I have canned I am still learning and updating all the time. Great video.
Thanks Karen! I can corn relish once every few years just because of all the pickled things down there. I want to find the right kind of potato to can!
I agree about the pickles !
Thanks for watching, Shirley!!
I agree so much - I love french onion soup. It's so versatile.
Yes! Why didn’t I start canning it sooner!

Welcome! I’m so glad you are here!
I gotta learn to can before I can do this one lol but it's fun just to watch :)
Dani, enjoy the playlist! I sure did. Thanks LeAnne!
We love pickles! We eat about a jar a week. I have never canned pumpkin myself. I always buy commercial. I don’t can beans either. They get mushy.
