    Throughout Chinese history, there have always been people who preferred to spend their lives in the mountains, getting by on less, sleeping under thatch, wearing old cloths, working the higher slopes, not talking much, writing even less -- maybe a few poems, a recipe or two. Out of touch with the times but not with the seasons, they cultivated roots of the spirit, trading flatland dust for mountain mist. Distant and insignificant, they were the most respected men and women in the world's oldest society.

    That's odd that the second door is not on the direct opposite side of the first door. I also find it interesting that the manufacturer doesn't list the size of the tent foot print or height details on their website. Many makers of tipi shelters will show a graphic with the footprint and dimensions and another showing the height dimension. It would be nice if the half inner tent had two doors so that it could be opened fully to the inside of the tent. It would allow better access to the other side of the tent for tending the wood stove.
    Quite interesting that the stove is double wall. That makes things really efficient. You'll just have to have smaller fires in there to keep the temperature comfortable.

      Lonewolf 902 I was just looking it up and it’s very reasonably priced, even the stove. I also like the mod you did with top part of the stove, great idea. To bad it’s not an option to have it open or sealed shut.

    website says its 11lbs, that's passable for me in regards to solo backpacking tent weight even better if I got a friend along and we can split the weight one carries poles and stakes other has the main body of the tent

    Without the inner tent it weighs 15.4 pounds according to the website. Not practical for backpacking. I own a 4 person Kifaru Tut floorless tipi with a stovejack that weighs just over 4 pounds.

    • @Lonewolfwildcamping
      @Lonewolfwildcamping  4 роки тому

      Yes I agree it's not for backpacking as I said in the video. It's an awsome basecamp for hunting and exploring and I love it

    Makes no sense how the vent is opposite of the stove jack..!
    I wouldn’t buy it for that reason. Who wants a vent you can not close tight next to your cot?
    Who designs these tents.. ?
