That moment when there’s only a field medic left and now he’s running for it’s life around the map refusing to die but also barely damaging the boss
The classic Medic Marathon.
Had a clutch win as medic just like that today lmao
You talkin shit on me? Lol
I'm in this comment and I don't like it
I love running into a dead end because a door was fully sealed.
My two favorite perks :
- Medic : Kill nothing, can't die
- Gunslinger : Kill everything, die a lot
You shouldn't really be dying as gs. Ill give you dying as support tho.
If you die as gs you are probably not a good one. A good gs can kite forever
I could also show you some guys who do a great medic job and are top 1 zed killers
@@Vaan2K You shouldn't be dying as any class though. I thought that was the point of the game. We all make mistakes, otherwise the game wouldn't be fun or rewarding in the slightest.
The squishiness of a gunslinger is part of the learning curve. If I get my dumb ass cornered as a GS, I die within seconds.

Why is this so funny to me?
“The firebug is an excellent perk, as long as you are considerate of your teammates.”
Firebugs being considerate may happen around the same time pigs fly.
This.
That's why you don't share the same targets with them.
People who don't know how to play the firebug are the worst... They can lead a team to massacre pretty easy
Yes but a skilled fb can shred litterally anything and makes great partners w. Zerks. It can also protect big target hunters such as sharps who can't do anything at a close range

This list can be easily broken down into frontline (Zerk, Firebug, Swat) < backline (Demo, Sharp) < midline (Commando, Medic, Slinger, Support)
Major problem with that though: mando, slinger, sharp, support, and flashless swat need aggro for their takedowns.
The game is too chaotic for that.
The only place where you can mount any proper defense is the guard tower in the Prison map. When youre inside that fence, no zed can approach you from the rear. Not even crawlers.
1 zerk spartan at the gate, 1 medic, 1 support for ammo, 1 swat for stun and MG (better than commando) support.
And in the tower overlooking the courtyard, 1 demo and 1 sharp for big zed killing and long range crowd softening.
Or trade the sharp for a 2nd bezerker for HoE. Which you will need.
I consider myaself a master class bezerker. And helped my whole team get the platinum ps4 trophy by willing a HoE game this way.
@@davecrupel2817 there are other viable camping spots like the 2-lane cliff on zed landing
Three players per lane (1 healer 1dps 1 Frontline). That's pretty funny to play.
Prison is like the worst camping spot ever: 6 players focussing a single lane with the demomen eventually getting more kills than the whole party just spamming explosives... That's kinda tedius and braindead if you ask me
Sometimes I like to be in the front line as a Gunslinger. I get as close as I can to the Zeds, start shooting and then running backwards while my friends shoot them behind me.
I always bring the fire breath as support (my main) and become a mix of support, firebug, and a damage dealer
8:53 Struggling with large zeds is an understatement. It took me nearly 15 minutes to kill 3 fleshpounds.
What difficulty
Railgun or nah?

As a prestige 5, level 25 Firebug that often plays HoE with randoms, I often find I'm the last one alive. I see why you put Firebug there, but I feel like you should, for every perk, have a section where you explain how each perk performs when everything has gone to shit.
I think what makes FB survivable is its ability to get out of being corned, and Heat Wave being able to keep big ZEDs at bay.
@@RichardDangles commando, medic and gunslinger are top rated because what they do when things done right, only firebug was placed when things done wrong.
@@RichardDangles I 100% agree. As Killing floor is an ever changing game, and as your videos showcase how perks, or mechanics or skills change, I think it would be really cool to know your opinion on a perk when it comes down to performing when everyone else has failed. Berserker is definitely the number 1 of my list, even if I like SS more, because man zerker is so broken if you know the basics of hit-and-run and parry. Easily the strongest perk when mastered, but also one of the hardest.

At the very least, the Survivalist is a very tanky gap-filler. If it wasn’t for that all-damage resistance, then it would be rather worthless in a game that’s mostly about min-maxing team roles.

"SWAT CON: Expensive ammo"
Good joke, man.
You see, I have a bit of a problem with your use of a learning curve when it comes to determining the position of the perk. You say the Berserker has a tough learning curve to master, and I think you are correct with that. But to place it all the way at slot 7 for that reason? That's painful. On top of this, you put Gunslinger, a perk which also has a really steep learning curve to master, at number one despite saying that it has the learning curve. It's just confusing to me because I agree that both perks have a steep learning curve, but to put one at 7 and one at 1? That's just confusing to me.
I think his point was that Berserker is much harder to play than other perks, and has a hard time getting as much value as the top tier perks even when performing well. Both Berserker and Gunslinger are difficult classes, but berserker is significantly harder while at the same time having less potential even at the top of its learning curve.
For me the gunslinger and sharpshooter are the hardest perk to play because I play on a potato laptop with fps drops. Not to mention their lurning curve. I'm doing much better as a commando, firebug, demo, medic and sometimes support (HoE)
The learning curve isn't important. The important part is the skill ceiling.
Oh, I feel you there. I can't hit headshots to save my life, and half the time it's usually because my game would randomly drop a few frames while I'm trying to line a shot up and I wouldn't even see the frame where a Zed's nut is in my sights.
The other half of the time is because I just suck at aiming. It's probably why I gravitate towards Firebug and Demo.

Berzes are the best doormen ever
This list really makes me wanna come back to this game sometimes, I remember getting hyped after playing the early beta - and my first hell on Earth is still one of the greatest moments I've had gaming (I've been a survivalist main for as long as I can remember, but uninstalled it earlier this year)
A good gunslinger's teammates often need the gunslinger more than the gunslinger needs their teammates...
*Laughs in Berserker*
nice work bro, keep it goin',u r doin great
Thanks for uploading, not much KF content around.
I've always been a cowboy at heart. And when I saw the gunslinger class, I knew what my main would be.
Also, GS and SS comes with the added bonus of teaching good habits, because headshots are MANDATORY for those.
I think you're fairly accurate, when prioritizing offensiveness. I fell in love with the firebug in KF1, able to clear a room in seconds at max levels, leaving just the large zeds behind. The ability to stumble large zeds in KF2 is amazing. I can just clear out the small enemies, and puff fire at the large ones to keep them off my teammates. This is a bigger issue on endless more than survival imo, since some rounds are 90% skrakes or something, and I can help keep them away from pinning us as we run away.
I'm only here because of the quality of your videos and your knowledge about the game. I don't even play KF2 anymore I spend all my time on WWZ. It's a pretty cool zombie game.
I love throwing down a flashbang on a scrake and having literally everyone immediately unload their magazines into its head.
Richard: (Talking about Support) They excel at dealing with groups of enemies at close range, especially in narrow hallways or corridors...
Meanwhile, I'm using the M4 to snipe a Siren.
Tight Choke gang
The Gunslinger is one of the most powerful perks and yes the lurking curve is difficult because in suicidal or hell on earth you team needs constant headshots from you and depends on you for taking on large zeds and the ammo problem is a big deal, but the zerk is also powerful in its own way cause of the parry bonus being really powerful against trash and big zeds with the right weapons for the job, but AMAZING VIDEO!! Great job
Huh, I thought SWAT would go up after the introduction of the Nailgun.

@@pedrochindi7853 even then if your playing hell on earth then it really dosen't matter
@@pedrochindi7853 With all due respect, you're wasting a player slot with that skill unless you're doing sui. The extra damage hits major damage breakpoints in takedowns, and the faster reload doesn't actually solve any problems for demo like it does for support or gs.
@@immortalnub Hey man, it's okay, I don't really play HoE, or use the faster reload skill, and I play HX25 with the RPG just for each thing. HX for trash, RPG for big boys, and that's usually just how it goes.
I still say the gunslinger needs akimbo miniguns.
Lowkey, I feel like a minigun should be Swat's tier 5
Or Akimbo SMG’s
Fan fire with dual-wielding autoguns sounds way too op
That sounds cool as fuck but in practice they would probably nerf gunslinger again
Akimbo glocks from the swat
Hey ! I'm new to the game, and I was wondering if upgrading is really worth it because of how poor the damage is upgraded ? Cause you said Deagles Tier 5 especially were OP, thx !
I’d rank firebug a bit higher on the list since the only time my friends have had a problem with all the fire was when we’re killing the smaller ZEDS which the firebug has no problem taking care of, and I find it very effective against bosses, especially the patriarch since the burn damage helps my team find him whenever he turns invisible and runs away
Firebug is an insane boss clearer now with the right team set up. Microwave damage is rarely resisted and most bosses have metal that gets cooked off by it. The microwave gun’s altfire is additionally good cc.
Support is my favorite perk! The shotguns are so satisfying and stylish. Especially it's a piece of cake to deal with larger zeds using the upgraded dual barrel or doomstick.
I approve this list, since slinger is my main!
However, I have to add, until you hit LVL 15 Slinger can a little bit UP, unless you master the reload times.
Imo the perk died when they removed reload animation cancelling, took me nearly a full prestige to get used to letting my reloads finish lmao
I did not hear you mention that the field medic can buff them self as well as their team with the left side perk tree. You can do so by standing in your own gas grenade for about 5-8 secs to get full buff.
4:32 THAT MOMENT oh my god
did you just *jump and then brought down an axe mid jump* ?!
10/10 beserker
Was suprised about swat. The only perk with which I shred waves of zeds and donate tons of money to the team.
As firebug, what they do best is be cost effective, with tier 25 you get unlimited ammo during zed time so you got amazing firepower and save on dosh. I run trenchgun and dual flareguns and extra dosh I give to medic or commando and once everyone maxes I go helios. I know when to stop spamming when holding a lane and use the quick command to ask for help for big zeds.
Hey richard i use to play this game a bit is the trench gun still bad? It was my favorite weapon next to the boomstick
With the dual pistols other than revolvers never reload until you’re completely empty melee as soon as you hear the click and then spam the shoot button and the reload is almost instantaneous
I feel like the average pub game was not a big enough factor in these decisions. Swat is definitely higher tier when two of your teammates are running around on the other side of the map and everybody else are sharpshooters. Sometimes it's a win just to be die last
Most of the team wipes I can remember recently have been from a firebug pissing off a big zed, promptly getting his butt killed as well as everyone else who werent ready or positioned to take out a big zed let alone a whole squad of them.
Firebug is my personal favorite. Pretty colors and you don't need precision when you have volume.
I like playing Firebug, especially with it's very fun to use weapons like the Incendiary ballistic weapons like the Mac11 and Incendiary M-16.
If you play duos which 2 classes should you choose?
Am I initiate? i picked up gunslinger my first time playing this game, and it was my first time playing on pc, I soloed ten waves on normal mode. I dunno if that's a big achievement but it was fun and i'm definitely getting the game for myself lol
My one complaint with demolitionist is that now people expect you to head shot with his guns like yeah that's why I'm playing this class to be a sniper
Bat and shield berserker is my favorite. The bash attack knocking down scrakes is both satisfying and the perfect opportunity to bash his head in
Ooo I'm about to go innn on this! Thanks Epic for my free copy.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on best perk. I actually think Commando should be a lot lower. Those of us who played Killing Floor 1, know that Commando in Killing floor 2 has been regulated to being a a weaker version of swat with only use is for slow mow and seeing Stalkers.I miss the glory days of Commando. Dont get me wrong, those utilities are important but come on, go try out killing floor 1 and tell me how great Commando can be. Gunslinger is an excellent class, especially since tripwire has shown more love to Gunslinger than any other class. So many new weapons being added to it every update, but number 1 has to be beserker. You get a good beserker and they will win the game for your team even when your pub team dies.
"... and the trench gun come to mind. And they sort of lack the punch and efficiency of other weapons." Pretty sure I've seen dragonsbreath absolutely rip through clumps of zeds, even medium and heavy tiered ones. I can understand criticism of the trench shotgun reload mechanics, but if we're talking "punch," I think different wording could be used. Also- it's a tad hard to avoid lanes with precision perk users when they continually come over to take pot shots at zeds that are *already on fire.*
I'm already prestige all my perks. Berserker is already maxed so my current perk is Survivalist. When I beated my first HoE match with 6 players, I went "purist" (I mean, just using perk weapons). In this case, killerwatt for trash and freezethrower for big zeds. That last weapon is pretty good if you know how to use it. In other cases, if my team lacks a medic or needs more healers, I use medic AR.
Anyway, survivalist is pretty good as long as you know how to fight properly with all weapons and you fill team holes :3
How exactly do you upgrade desert to rank 5? I can't upgrade it past level 2
Probably way late on this but should be good for other people in the future. The desert eagles are rank 3 at base rank so 2 upgrades make them rank 5
Yeah i think the main problem of the suvivalist is that its desinged to sacrafice strentgh for flexebility but you dont need flexibilyty when you know exacly what is comming
I used to agree about Survivalist until I found out about the perk that allows you to carry 5 more weight. A HRG bastion, pair of .500 Magnum revolvers, and the seal squeal, I'm pretty much an ammo-loaded tank
Demo got a nice close range buff with the kaboom stick, and its the same weight as the m79 so you can use it with the rpg. Those 2 have become my standard demo loadout
Could you do something like this but regarding vs mode? I feel like the zeds are trash and I want to know if it's because versus is imba or because I'm bad and keep getting paired with other bad players lol
@Richard Dangles Can you the characters of Killing Floor 2?
I really enjoyed this video, eventhough it was aimed at higher skill levels of play =)
The other reason the Firebug is lower on this list is because of the frame drops caused by them, hopefully this is patched out in the next update, or else I don’t see this perk holding a much higher spot anytime soon.
Get a better pc
@@adwans1491This game is still prone to frame drops after recent updates, in fact my frames go from 90 up to 130 but only while firing a gun. That's called shitty optimization.

@@actualteddybear891 Nah. Quality > Quantity.
My two favorites are swat man and demolitions, but a survivalist combination between the two is still a favorite.
Can’t speak for the other perks but from a medic main I think it should’ve been at least in 2nd. It’s not the best at killing tough zeds but can very much handle it’s own, not only with the HM-tech 301 shotgun which I’ve absolutely fallen in love with when taking out scrakes and flesh pounds, but also with the syringe being able to basically completely offset any damage given, even in a corner with flesh pounds and scrakes if you spam your healing grenades quick enough you’ll be able to make it out practically unscathed
This is without also mentioning how the buffs you put on your teammates will also apply to you when healing them or when using your syringe but I think that was a feature added after this video was made so I’m happy with 3rd but if the creator makes an updated video I definitely think medic should be 2nd at least. Do really appreciate him acknowledging the medic’s effective and consistent healing though, in general the KF2 community is one of the only communities I’ve seen actually appreciate their medics, y’all are the best!!!
I solo hoe as survivalist, I never saw any problems with the perk except running out of ammo because of big zeds.
TBH, i've always felt that this is a more ideal team composition on Suicidal.
Berserker (Tanking)
Field Medic (self-explanatory)
Demolitionist (Takedowns)
Commando (Trash clearing)
Support (Ammo replenishing)
Anyone other than SWAT (I'll get more into detail why I don't like SWAT)
You probably know a lot more about the game than I do, though from my personal experience with both solo and team play, it seems like a lot of games devolve into "Hold S, magdump your weapons, hope a few stray bullets hit the head), and I feel like with firefights getting out of control real fast, precision perks might be more of a hindrance than anything when things come down to "Move first, aim later", especially when the Sharpshooter's damage skills often require him to paint himself as a target for the zeds to chew on.
Personally, I think the Demolitionist is probably the strongest perk on paper having a weapon for every enemy type (RPG-7 for Scrakes, Fleshpounds and EDARs, HX for everything else) and while he has more mobility than Sharpshooter in that he doesn't lose out on any damage by running backwards and shooting, you'll still want a designated damage sponge to keep your targets far enough for your explosive weapons to arm.
The Zerker's utility as a tank is probably THE most important asset in Suicidal games, and has some pretty good killing power with his melees. Can't imagine how smoothly my multiplayer sessions would go without someone who can take a licking and keep on ticking. Cuz every other perk certainly can't.
And finally, why I think SWATs are usually a wasted slot: They're essentially a slightly tankier but objectively worse version of the Commando. I think the main reason why the Nailgun gets so much praise has more to do with its base stats rather than how the SWAT's skillset improves on them. You can probably get similar results as a Survivalist while also having a Centerfire as a dedicated medium zed killer. Even then, if you're gonna go Survivalist, it's probably better to go for an RPG+Buckshots+HM101+Hemoclobber combo while using Heavy Weapons Training and Weapon Harness
As a new player, i found survivalist to be the best for one man armying your way through the crowds as it is well balanced over every zone.
Yooo i main medic and i didnt expect it to be ranked so high!!! Nice
i honestly thought demolition perk icon was a corona virus
Gunslinger was the first class I gravitated towards when I originally started playing, and the deagles were and still are my favourite weapons, so it shocked me that gunslinger is the best perk in the game, and the deagles the pistol among them
Can you please tell me where you got the neon hm501 grenade rifle skin?
Hey does anyone still play this game? I can never find an online match (I'm on Xbox)
You're on Xbox, found your problem
I feel that the survivalist could be more effective if the lockdown perk improved damage too
The devs are increasing the knockdown even more in the next patch.
They need a rework of all the skills they have and knockdown is just stupid in a game were you rely on headshots most of the time to kill things fast.Nobody wants to have their targets knocked down, instead why not make them stun zeds more ?
I'll be frank, the main reason I play firebug is because that's what I got used to in old killing floor, and despite what everyone kept telling me, it worked.
but yeah, "chaotic nature and disruption" everything you described with it *can* be a drawback if used incorrectly, the whole point of firebug (to me atleast) is excelled trash clearing and swarm disruption, in other words moments like that time you found yourself cornered by a quarterpound, to me, that's part of my job, heatwave, knock him over, ground napalm a trail so he's slowed and is no longer focusing on you, the guy that requires precise aim.
chaotic isn't necessarily a bad thing, fire panic becomes useful when it's a scrake or fleshpound swarm that got too close.
and as for the husk launcher and trench gun, I don't find the weapons awkward personally, but the trench gun is definitely one of the more edged weapons when used correctly, if you go completely for damage perks with firebug, with zed shrapnel, that thing mows.
the husk launcher is more for people who prefer burst damage like demolition but also afterburn, it's useful in cases like armor or shield stripping, it's also even better at disruption because of the explosive nature that comes with it, although admittedly, more often than not: there's not a use for it, especially with how much weight it takes.
When I play demo I usually use the explosive double barrel with the extended blast radius buff, works really well for me except high rounds
Good Video.
Gunslinger also allows headshots to slow zeds by 30% allowing players to outrun all of the large zeds and bosses rushing you
I have been playing medic since forever so now its so easy to heal my teammates through bushes and stuff
Same, also health thrower is un rivaled in effective healing just tap heal and you get stacked buffers even when they're full health and if u need long range of burst heal just use its darts
Personally I would but the demolitionist in first place for 1 reason, HRG Kaboomstick. This weapon is so overpowered to me I get bored whenever I play with it, I can kill fleshpounds in 1 dual barrel shot, scrakes the same. I can kill bosses in a couple double barrel shots. No need to worry about close range which is one of demo's weaknesses, it's a shotguns that's what it's for.
It's a trash clearing god to me, Can kill big zeds in 1 or 2 double barrel shots, ammo isn't that big of an issue cause there are ammo packs lying everywhere, also you still have space for an extra weapon even if you max upgrade it.
My favorite perk since KF1 days has always been Support. I love that shotty action.
Same , but i miss kf1 combos on kf2 but slinger Is awesome
@@aramis3024 I miss the old double barreled shotgun. I cant find any use for the kf2 one
I just got this game. Enjoying the mindless killing so far and it’s one of those games I couldn’t get very bored of. But I’ve seen a single weapon dlc for 10 bucks and videos discussing if the game is dying/dead. Is this true? I hope the game I just got isnt dead already :(
It's not dead but dying a little bit but for new players it's fine
Nice video
I main medic most games, and I can agree with all the points made. Trick is getting enough kills early game to afford health thrower. Then you can heal and kill trash at the same time. However, the classes that I’ve found are the most difficult to support are gunslinger and survivalist. Maybe it’s because I mostly play on suicidal mode, but those two are never team players. They always try to run off on their own.
I’m just getting into kf2 so far firebug has caught my eye because I like playing him. But the problem is I like to just go crazy with flamethrower but that blocks the precision sometime 😆
Did a survivalist bully you as a kid?
DemolitionboyXX yes.
Bruh
Does this game have graphic mods? The game seems more polished then mine
my favorites are Medic and Beserker. you can tank so much ridiculous damage and with a bit of hit and run you can survive almost anything. 3rd fav is firebug because FIREEEEE : )
Surprised Berserker didn't get a mention on its sustain capability. 2 HP tick regen is huge. I don't even buy armor (BOSS wave excluded) because of this and the Vampire perk which gives 4 HP per Zed killed. I call these "perks" classes and the perks are what you choose every 5 levels but its whatever, to each their own. I've successfully completed 4 waves Suicidal with just a Katana (maxed out ASAP ofc), loads of fun. Especially with Spartan which allows you to move and attack in real-time during Zed time, I've heard friends go "Holy shit, hes cutting through everything" while they're moving hella slow in Zed Time and ngl, quite a satisfying feeling! As for those wondering why I don't pick up a ranged weapon (Nail Gun, etc), my ranged attack is the Katana's stab (I use this to shutdown Bloaters/Sirens), thats ranged enough for me ^_^ Happy Hunting!
I'd put the sharpshooter as the lowest perk as from what I've seen and played usually the zed puts something in front of their head or the shooter goes for body shots nullifying any extra damage from the perk. I'd put the commando above gunslinger just because of the ease of use though it would never go below #3.
I enjoyed the accuracy oriented perks on KF1 (steam, PC) but I donwloaded kF2 on ps4 and aiming correctly on console is extremely difficult so I usually played either firebug, medic or support
