Silley Doggo it's probably because the PS4 and Xbox One's prices are more affordable, but people don't realize how long those consoles have been out. They must have gotten too comfortable with the $250 price tag.
Nintendo mainly gets money from the games, rather than the console, they pretty much get $0 for each console they sell, but everyone's going to buy at least one Nintendo game with that console.
Silley Doggo the thing is they think it's overpriced because PS4 and XBOne has been out and had price drops. It's like comparing oranges that have rotten for three years to a freshly picked apple but those idiots don't care.

Meta Shade ok, I'll just sit here and hide with my Wii U in the corner. I was apparently the only one who enjoyed the paper Mario and 1st party games on the wii u

Sony can say it because they already have loads and loads of games though. 8) Nintendo can't even keep its own first party franchises consistent while forsaking graphics. I mean.. When was the last F-Zero game again?
two years later, and this video couldn't be more truthful. The Switch changed the way I game in general. For the first time in 24 years, I as a PC gamer, felt urged to buy a console. It's just the perfect product. It markets to EVERYONE. And it complements PERFECTLY with a PC, you'll never need another console for its entire lifetime.
I'd just like to say, I subscribed back when you only had 9k subscribers, and now that you're at 146k subscribers, it's been a ride dude! Glad you're getting all the love and praise you deserve, :)
The Wii U may have been a flop, but it wasn't a bad system. It had some of those most fantastic games available on the system and the idea of the system while wasn't perfect, was still pretty revolutionary at the time. It's just the timing and the execution of the Wii U was so poorly done. Oh well, you live and learn and they're learning with the Switch.
최이민 see, I loved almost every game I owned on the Wii u, it had some amazing games but the problem was there was nothing revolutionary or game-changing about it, the big Mario game was 3d world which I loved but it still is a sequel to a 3ds game and a very similar one at that, Starfox Zero which got more mixed reactions didn't do much new other than the control system, I feel like the Wii u "era" if you will was a time where nintendo thought gimmicks are what make a good game but the truth is that gimmicks while great for variety and gameplay cannot sustain a full game that's why they are gimmicks, for example, if they built a whole game around Mario's new possession ability in mario odyssey it would probably just be a decent game but when you add it in to an already great game like well super Mario Odyssey it works much better because it gets to be a gimmick rather than an essential element, sorry I got sidetracked I just love talking Nintendo
Agreed, the Wii U introduced me to Splatoon, one of my all time favourite games, if not my favourite. Made a lot of friends and memories because of it, SO looking forward to the iteration! It wasn't just Splatoon, though. There were quite a few games that I loved, Yoshi's Wooly World, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8; just to name a few. In my opinion, the Wii U had a solid library, as Arlo mentioned, most games were just...pure FUN, enjoyable and lovable. There were no monumental titles, but every title had its own charm.
I feel like this video was uploaded yesterday. Arlo has been bringing us the Nintendo goods so steady it’s insane. Thank you blue monster man we appreciate you a lot.
You know as a 12 year old I hate how stereotypical a lot of people are of kid gamers. I am a loyal Nintendo fan too. And I love there new direction with the switch. Also I'm so glad my generation can finally have a metroid game!!!!
Psycho Gallade Good point, people think all 12 year Olds are immature, but when I was 12 I was more mature than most teenagers in this generation. Hell my younger brother actually has a part time job in a convinience store.
*Nintendo fans in 2016:* "Don't you DARE add a paid Virtual Console to the New 3DS! We've bought all these games 10 times already, we're entitled to having them in any format you create. They're old; you shouldn't be charging money for them at all!" *Nintendo fans in 2017:* "Bring the Virtual Console to the Switch! We'll give you our blood!" I don't get it.
Well, I never heard the complaint, but the request is simple to understand: the Virtual Console has almost just not seen any significant expansion since it released on the Wii. The Wii's VC launched with games from consoles up to the N64. That's... still where it caps out. And the Gamecube has a lot of beloved titles on it. Portable Smash Melee? Tales of Symphonia? Double Dash? Of course that sounds appealing.
I'm completely on board with the Virtual Console growing on the Switch--more people need to play _Chibi-Robo!_ and _Path of Radiance_. It really annoyed me that _Radiant Dawn_ wasn't added as a downloadable Wii game on the Wii U eShop. If you look through gaming websites and UA-cam, you'll find an unfortunate number of game journalists who encouraged readers not to buy then-recent VC releases like _Star Fox 64_ and _Pokemon Snap_. It often boiled down to the silly reasons I satirized above.
Switch future wish list: -Virtual Console (Specifically gamecube and maybe wii) -a 2d Zelda -Pikmin 4 -Luigi's Mansion 3 -a real non-generic 2d Mario game -Smash (Port, melee hd, 5, I don't care.) -Mario party 11, with no cart. -Animal Crossing -Mario kart 9 -Paper Mario (P.S. I liked Color Splash, but I'd like a traditional game) -Resident Evil, Remaster, 4, or 7, OR 8. -F-Zero -Punch Out and Pokémon, Sonic, Fire Emblem, Metroid, 3d Mario, Kirby and Xenoblade has already been confirmed!! If at least two, or three of these things come out, then the switch may be my new favorite console
Gamesforus If Virtual Console does get GameCube games on it, I would be so happy. Games like Thousand Year Door (because it's the only one I haven't properly played yet), Luigi's Mansion (because why the hell not) and Pikmin 2 (because no time limits and sumo carrots).
+Gamestorus I agree with everything on this list but I definetly want a wii Vc and I want some wii u games to come since the wii u was... well you know... a shit console
No disrespect to Iwata, but as a president, Kimishima is doing a much better job for the growth of Nintendo. It was really great that Iwata saved the company, but he only saved it using his mindset, where we got instances like the Wii U, underpowered, and lack of third party developers. Kimishima's mindset is now much more efficient and effective, it is only now when kimishima took over did Nintendo start to make a comeback, Iwata just clutched to his money saving mindset for too long, but Kimishima is doing an outstanding job at providing us with good, powerful consoles and listening to the fans. Of course the company isn't comprised of just the president, I understand that. And I can't stress it enough, no disrespect to Iwata, I miss him too folks...
The process began following Kimishima's entrance into the presidency, yes, but I wouldn't credit Kimishima himself for the uprising. Like Arlo said in a previous video, the big Switch reveal show was actually not represented much by the "big guys"--Kimishima, Reggie, Miyamoto--but moreso a handful of brand new faces that, while they'd been working with Ninty for a while, never really got much publicity till now--and they succeeded HARD. These same guys--the only name coming to my head is Koizumi's, but there were 3 or 4 main guys--are now heading development for most Switch big titles. Furukawa is doing a much more active job now overseeing all of it anyway. As for Iwata, he'd been running things around for MUCH longer before the Wii U was even a concept; he knew what he was doing, and as somebody else mentioned, the plans for the Switch had already been there under his leadership. Kimishima/the future of the company just carried that intention out. Iwata would have done it if he hadn't fallen so soon. Even Wii U and Switch aside, Iwata's biggest highs throughout his work with the company still remain intact, and I do personally feel that it's important to remember ALL of his work, not just the Wii U era. Including all of those years, I pretty confidently consider him having been a much stronger leader than Kimishima, and I feel that most would agree. Especially now seeing as how Kimishima just stepped down after only a couple of years with nothing really exciting from him himself.
Also one major factor that makes the Switch an amazing console and also a genius strategy is it's gimmick. I never thought I would say this but I freaking love this thing's gimmick! I've hated Nintendo gimmicks, motion controls were fun for a week then ruined most games they touched, the tablet was a clunky mess with a lack of identity that was only good for Mario Maker and 3D gaming was never fun, period. But the gimmick of Switching between console and handheld is not only fun but it's smart. For starters, it won't suffer from fad syndrome like motion controls and 3d did. People won't be hyped about it now and move on to a new trend in a few years, also the gimmick is an option so it won't ruin games like motion controls did or won't have stupid, unnecessary segments in games that justify the gimmicks existence like many Wii U games did. Finally, because it can double as a handheld, Nintendo only has one platform to really worry about. They can put all their best efforts and just roll out all the games on to this system and we're basically having every Nintendo franchise hit console and handheld. Pokemon on console and Pikmin on handled was absolutely unheard of and a ridiculous thought last year, but the Switch has changed that.
Doctor Minjinx Motion controls aren't that bad, look at Arms and the only thing that is making the Switch successful is it's games, actual 3rd party support, Different play styles and aiming for all demographics. Also the Hybrid console idea is an evolution in gaming history.
If Nintendo had combined all their presentations this year, they would have had the best e3 presentation of any company ever! It would be insane! There would be *SO MANY AAA GAMES*!
i'm tired of NSMB's generic grass, desert, water, fire levels. they need a new 2D mario game with unique settings and awesome new power-ups, instead of reusing old ones.
Applez I mean, now that super Mario makers a thing, other than aesthetic aspects, what can they possibly do with a 2D Mario that wasn't/can't be done in super Mario maker?
Para Boo they kind of are. The system has been out for months and stocks aren't restocking in any stores fast enough for demand, which would mean Nintendo also isn't producing enough for demand. Artificially increasing demand and keeping fresh income and ignoring all of the people who want the Switch. I have been trying to buy the Switch for 3 months now, and I still can't get one because it is NEVER in stock
Penguwave It has been out for a while now, but Nintendo can't manufacture more Switches at once because Apple, whom is producing their Iphone8, uses some of the same party and since they are ordering much more, they get priority over Nintendo at manufacturers. Nintendo said they are trying their best to get as much Switches out as possible, even flying them over (which causes them to sell these Switches at loss), but they can't manufacture more than they are now at the moment.
Zachary Savio They're not doing a sequel to KIU. Sakurai believes he perfected that work. And seeing as the Switch only has a touch screen in handheld mode, the gameplay wouldn't be able to transfer over to the Switch, ruling out a remake.
Johnny Melo So...you want. Super Paper Mario and Paper Mario Color Splash...this games are by far the best paper marios (if you ignore the battle system)
The reason Nintendo is in success is because they're implementing THICC characters in their games. Zelda, Inkling Girls, Twintelle... EDIT: Y'all in the replies are like "But the Inking Girls are 14..." Well, LISTEN BITCH LET ME TELL YA. I don't give a fuck. They are THICC. Bye.
Nintendo is doing everything perfect with Switch. They just have big picture in mind. They released great games already and they showed us enough of greatness incoming, just enough to keep us interested, and as low to make Switch interesting for years to come. They are very careful of what they announce. They could easily give us Virtual Console, Mario Maker or New Super Mario Bros. since these are the easiest things to port to new and most powerful Nintendo system to date, but it would give very bad massage of redoing the same old thing and sticking to much to the past. Nintendo is the new Nintendo now. Fully aware of it's legacy but not afraid to blend itself with everything what was created by others. Breath of the Wild is a great Nintendo game, but in the same time it reinvents mechanics from popular sandbox games. Mario Odyssey has tons of new features, but again it's heavily influenced by other modern games. New Metroid Prime 4 game will be heavily inspired by Doom 2016, which was heavily inspired by earlier Metroid games and blended old Doom with Metroid creating great gameplay. New Metroid won't be very brutal, but it will have the action and fluidity of new Doom. Even Ubisofts Rabbid Mario is heavily influenced by new X-COM games (or tactics genre in general). All of this is for great benefit in Nintendo games. They now take proven concepts, polish them Nintendo style, and add their newly designed mechanics. Nintendo pushing popular quality games will make younger gamers aware of how good games can be. This will push EA, Activision, Ubisoft or Sony 1st party developers to make better and more innovative games, because their current approach won't be competitive to current Nintendo strategy. Overall Nintendo can end this traumatic remaster/remake/EarlyAcces era of gaming.
Arlo: "Where were the games that really excited us, where were the games that reminded us why we were so in love with the big 'N?'" Me (also arlo): On 3ds. Being named X and Y.
I'll hold that judgment until we see gameplay of MP4. Just because it says *"Prime"* in the title doesn't mean it's a home run. *Staring at Federation Force* *INTENSIFIES*
you can't stare at FF Because it was a spinoff not a continuation of the series. They had to add "Prime" to its name because it takes place in universe.
Lakahiya Newberry For real bro. Nintendo has released a new fighting game Arms, a game of the year worthy game in Loz Botw, Mario kart 8 DX AND they're gonna release splatoon 2, Pokemon fighting DX, and a NEW Mario game for the switch's first year
I love love love the feel good but sober and non-cheesy tone of this vid. Intellectual but not boring, and so substantial that there's no need to pander or use cheap moves like high-octane and exaggerated reactions and emoting. Definitely high quality. Don't ever change!
It's a well known fact that people love crap. Kingdom hearts? *drake using his hand to block it off* Roblox survive the boss baby obby: *drake pointing at it with approval*
I'd honestly say this is still generation 8. the PS5 isn't going to come out for YEARS & Microsoft has a different mindset with the Xbox One X. I'd say Gen 9 will truly start once the PS5 launches in 2020 or 2021
Generation 8.5? Nintendo ended the Wii U early so while its in generation 9, other companies are still on 8. The whole thing is confusing, especially with the Xbox One X...
I think Arlo, should gain at least quadruple the amount of subscribers he currently he has just from the way his videos are set out. I love the presentation and most important the dialogue and speeches he gives out in his videos. It's just great, it's just Switching great
Little edit: SCREAM TO THE SKY THAT WE WANT A WALUIGI GAME, THEY WILL LISTEN! / Nintendo does some stupid shit, I think we all agree on that, but this gen seems that they are listening, like you say. I just hope they stop focusing on 3DS so much, and even if they release games I want them to be on switch too. You can't start a new gen if you don't abandon the last one, if all did things like Nintendo, Sony would still be on the PS2 era
@@xander178 Well that was mostly cause the gaming necromancers (otherwise known as JRPG fans) kept it living with a bundle of chicken feathers and a sacrificial waifu pillow.
JB Brickman I can't see the problem either. I'm happy with the price. I think it's really affordable. Everyone who compares it with 2017 prices of other consoles is an idiot. Look at their launch prices.
Can someone please explain to me on why people are obsessed with 4K graphics, high screen resolutions, etc, etc? I'm basically a casual gamer. So to me it's more important on fun the actual game is. From what I can tell so far in the comments. People would like a game about staring at a realistic box better than games like BotW.
Blame marketing. Much of the hype surrounding consoles since the late 90s has been centered around OMG GRAFX and not around gameplay. This was because Sony broke into the market with the PlayStation and showcased how much "better" it looked than the then-incumbent Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis systems. Being a big company, they had far larger marketing muscle than Nintendo and Sega, so they were able to push an agenda of "graphics make the game". That attitude carried on through with the PS2, PS3, and PS4 as well, and Microsoft only reinforced it once they got into the market.
One word immersion. Having tech like 120+ Hz refresh rates, VR, Surround sound headphones, 4K etc etc. Makes for a powerful experience that you kinda have to experience first hand to really get. But that being said in my opinion that's what PC gaming is for. The main thing the switch fills for me is couch co-op, and getting that irreplaceable Nintendo game design. I don't really want another super powerful computer to play games on in my house, if I really want to play high quality AAA titles I'm just gonna get them on steam anyways, because the PS4 hardware can't hold a candle to what a PC rig can do. Also the science of how screen resolutions and the human eye work mean that most people can't tell the difference between 4K and 1080p from the distance of their couch on a screen the size of a TV.
RedZeppelin1968 doesn't always translate to better sales. The most powerful console of each generation has almost never been the best selling of that generation.
It is pretty damn simple. Virtual console takes sales away from new games, and they are trying to get 3rd party developers to make games now. Would you buy Snake Pass, Mr. Shifty, or anything else over nostalgia games at half the price? No, you wouldn't.
Paper Mario and Mario Party (2 and 3 in particular) were two of my favorite Nintendo franchises. TYD is still tied for my favorite game ever (with Morrowind) and MP3 is still one of my go-to games with a group of friends. So honestly, while I understand and appreciate Nintendo's rebound of late, it all still feels a little...empty to me.
I know this might sound off-topic, but people like to believe that video games don't have an expiration date, but they sadly do. On a surface, Intelligent Systems (the company who made every Paper Mario and Fire Emblem) has always been the same company that made the previous games, but it's also an entirely new team of people, since people have either left the company or have moved on to work on other games. For example, the original artist of Paper Mario on the Nintendo 64 is now one of the directors for Paper Mario Color Splash. The last game the director of The Thousand Year Door was working on was Codename Steam. This can just give you an example of why Paper Mario will never go back to it's RPG glory days like it used to be in the N64 and Gamecube era. Video games are also a collaborative effort. Most of the people outside of the spotlight are the ones who really make the game good. Your favorite part of a video game could have been suggested by some nobody working within the company that brought it up to the director, which was then added into the game. Even then, maybe they really want to make a video game like the original games, but the higher ups at Nintendo want them to focus on making games similar to Sticker Star. We'll really never know the truth. As for Mario Party, all I can remember (because I haven't played any one the games since years ago) was Hudson left Nintendo.
Yeah so what I think you're really talking about is how FRANCHISES can have expiration dates if the people that originally made them what they were have moved on or split apart in some capacity. That being said, there are plenty of franchises that manage to retain their core spirit even with different people making them or after long hiatuses. Mario, Zelda, Smash, Kart, etc are all examples of franchises that can survive time and change because of an established, respected set of core concepts. There are also plenty of instances where even amidst complete director/creator changes the franchise stays true. Metroid Prime by Retro is the first example that comes to my mind. Or Donkey Kong Country Returns/TF. I still have hope that someday Nintendo will recognize that there is a place for Mario Story and go back to its roots.
wowperson26 if I know Sony well enough as a guy who owns all the PlayStations : Playstation move= crappy Wii , PlayStation Vita=Crappy DS PlayStation Shift=crappy Switch Sry if your a Sony fan but they did that since the N64
Old Man, you know the more people use ad block on sites, the more the sites become subscription based. I mean if everyone uses ad block, every site is going to require a subscription.
I know a bunch of people who love the Gamecube but havent given a shit about Nintendo outside of Brawl at parties, and they have a Switch. And are talking to me about how good Mario Kart 8 is. Im so glad more people are getting to play these great games because Nintendo finally delivered on all fronts hardware wise.
the Spaghettinator I'm personally a Pokemon fan and trust me Pokemon is nowhere near as good. Sun and Moon are the worst Pokemon games by far in my opinion. Pokemon takes no skill or timing, just a small plan. They are much different games. Obviously you've never played a Paper Mario game, or at least not one of the first two

I agree. I absolutely love that game, so when Arlo said that, it kinda hurt me.
Donkey Kong Fan Us Donkey Kong fans are the most beleaguered and ignored fan base.

Nintendo: What about the GAMES?
Kabloosh PC: What about the FPS
Xx_AnonyousSwegster404_xX My PC can play AAA Games in 4k with 60 FPS but all Im playing is Super Metroid on an emulator
DerBelmont good choice
+DerBelmont Wait, your PC CAN handle 4K?
Xbox is dead lmao
Sony can say it because they already have loads and loads of games though. 8)
Nintendo can't even keep its own first party franchises consistent while forsaking graphics. I mean.. When was the last F-Zero game again?

Herbert woooooooo
Marco Fantasy $299
Rags Polar ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? It costs a ton more in Europe. Great! amazon doesn't have import Switches. So i guess i need to get the money somehow.
Marco Fantasy Quite a bit more, yeah. Doesn't make sense either, Euros are worth more than USD
two years later, and this video couldn't be more truthful. The Switch changed the way I game in general. For the first time in 24 years, I as a PC gamer, felt urged to buy a console. It's just the perfect product. It markets to EVERYONE. And it complements PERFECTLY with a PC, you'll never need another console for its entire lifetime.
I would agree with you that the Switch has changed everything......If I could get my hand on one. :(
Richard England Get a job then.I been working so much that I can finally afford one by next week. Also this coming from a college student.

Call a store, ask when the next shipment is, then go to the store an hour early on the date they tell you, it is that simple!
Exactly :)

it's that he can't find one
Nintendo in an alternate universe: The Wii U didn’t sell well, we need a new port for the Switch.

Jordan Lucero Another Alternate Universe: Nintendo Switch is a flop, Nintendo Wii U is releasing March 3rd
Hrm. yes. metroid prime 4.
It is fun to watch these kind of videos years later and see what did or did not age well.
최이민 I loved my Wii u. It had some amazing games
Heck i am still playing smash 4, splatoon2 and bayonetta on my wii u lol
최이민 LIVE AND LEARN! HANGING ON THE EDGE OF TOMORROW!
6:09 Arlo, listen man. I need more of that hand-smacking in my life. It *really* delivers.
Looks like Nintendo is about to *_switch_* around the competition...
...okay. I will leave now.
no dont
+John Gallagher Gibbons Oh alright.
Let's start over. Hey there, sport, how's it hanging?
Good, you?
I'm sorry, just wanted to be apart of things.

Arlo: Mario possessing a T-rex
Nintendo: It's called capturing
I feel like this video was uploaded yesterday. Arlo has been bringing us the Nintendo goods so steady it’s insane. Thank you blue monster man we appreciate you a lot.
Except for the metroid prime bit but replace that with Dread and it checks out.
You know as a 12 year old I hate how stereotypical a lot of people are of kid gamers. I am a loyal Nintendo fan too. And I love there new direction with the switch. Also I'm so glad my generation can finally have a metroid game!!!!
Psycho Gallade haha yes kid I hope you love Metroid cause I did as a kid. as long as you like what you like and are real about it, you're all good
Psycho Gallade
Good point, people think all 12 year Olds are immature, but when I was 12 I was more mature than most teenagers in this generation. Hell my younger brother actually has a part time job in a convinience store.
Psycho Gallade same!!!!!!!!
I am just like you! I hate the stereotyping of kid gamers. I honestly want most things that the adults usually want
Really? He's old enough to get a job?
Shit, I need to start applying!
Ive been waiting for a turn around like this since the "ok but not spectacular" Wii U period.
switch is exactly that, ok but not spectacular.
Depends on who you ask, plus its only been out for a few months once the good titles come out it will be big as long as they are made good.
You cant assume someones Sony biased for what they think :V
YoshiGator Even though his channel has gameplay of horizon zero dawn. Of course he's going to try to belittle the switch.
That tells very little honestly people can enjoy both.
LOL, "Double Yoshi Exploshi"
Wow Arlo awknowledged ARMS existance and refered to it as a major IP. I'm surprised.
needs more than one new IP to push the switch!
*Nintendo fans in 2016:* "Don't you DARE add a paid Virtual Console to the New 3DS! We've bought all these games 10 times already, we're entitled to having them in any format you create. They're old; you shouldn't be charging money for them at all!"
*Nintendo fans in 2017:* "Bring the Virtual Console to the Switch! We'll give you our blood!"
I don't get it.
Lee Thompson-Kolar ironic isn't it?
Because we want to play old games along-side with our new triple a games, on the go, anywhere
Lee Thompson-Kolar Imagine those fans being two different groups with completely different people. Crazy, right?
I'm an old fan coming back! Sold my Wii back in '09 and haven't played a Nintendo game since I bought a Switch.

Switch future wish list:
-Virtual Console (Specifically gamecube and maybe wii)
-a 2d Zelda
-Pikmin 4
-Luigi's Mansion 3
-a real non-generic 2d Mario game
-Smash (Port, melee hd, 5, I don't care.)
-Mario party 11, with no cart.
-Animal Crossing
-Mario kart 9
-Paper Mario (P.S. I liked Color Splash, but I'd like a traditional game)
-Resident Evil, Remaster, 4, or 7, OR 8.
-F-Zero
-Punch Out
and Pokémon, Sonic, Fire Emblem, Metroid, 3d Mario, Kirby and Xenoblade has already been confirmed!! If at least two, or three of these things come out, then the switch may be my new favorite console
your wishes are all reasonable, and I'm sure all of them, or most of them will happen at some point.
Gamesforus If Virtual Console does get GameCube games on it, I would be so happy.
Games like Thousand Year Door (because it's the only one I haven't properly played yet), Luigi's Mansion (because why the hell not) and Pikmin 2 (because no time limits and sumo carrots).
I want more Square-Enix RPGs personally. A FFVI remake would blow my mind.
+Gamestorus I agree with everything on this list but I definetly want a wii Vc and I want some wii u games to come since the wii u was... well you know... a shit console
If the Switch does get RE4, I honestly hope it isn't a Wii port like they did with the Wii U.
CabinDoor he died in 2015
The Switch definitely felt Iwata's influence.
I would never say that because Iwata is dead
This is just wrong. Iwata worked on the switch as he lay on the hospital dying. He played a massive hand in the production of the switch.
Preech.
Doctor Minjinx I agree with everything you said. I can't wait to finally play a Pokémon game in HD
The Switch being both a home console and a handheld gaming device is not a gimmick. Its a practical and pristine feature.
Doctor Minjinx switching between console and handled isn't a gimmick. It's an evolution.
Doctor Minjinx Motion controls aren't that bad, look at Arms and the only thing that is making the Switch successful is it's games, actual 3rd party support, Different play styles and aiming for all demographics. Also the Hybrid console idea is an evolution in gaming history.

I really have fallen in love with Nintendo all over again.

ikr im so happy my friend wanted pikmin and i wanted metroid pokemon for switch and kirby for switch. he got so triggered
If Nintendo had combined all their presentations this year, they would have had the best e3 presentation of any company ever! It would be insane! There would be *SO MANY AAA GAMES*!
And now Switch has sold over 103 million units
Update: over 114 million
Update: over 134 million
i'm tired of NSMB's generic grass, desert, water, fire levels.
they need a new 2D mario game with unique settings and awesome new power-ups, instead of reusing old ones.
Applez Give them time they can fix that too
Applez You are DAMN right. They need to bring back 2D Mario to its greatness. They also have to stop putting the word "New" in it
Applez Maybe do something like Kirby 64 and give players the ability to combine powerups?
Applez I mean, now that super Mario makers a thing, other than aesthetic aspects, what can they possibly do with a 2D Mario that wasn't/can't be done in super Mario maker?
Applez buddy have I got news for you
You know what fans they can't pull in? The ones that can't even buy the Switch because they never make enough stock
Penguwave Well, it's not like they are choosing not to.
Penguwave I assume you didn't hear about Nintendo's battle over parts with Apple?
Para Boo ???
Penguwave It has been out for a while now, but Nintendo can't manufacture more Switches at once because Apple, whom is producing their Iphone8, uses some of the same party and since they are ordering much more, they get priority over Nintendo at manufacturers.
Nintendo said they are trying their best to get as much Switches out as possible, even flying them over (which causes them to sell these Switches at loss), but they can't manufacture more than they are now at the moment.
Yeah... About that Metroid Prime...
Haha...
@@twincherries6698 yea...

WALUIGI'S MANSION
Zachary Savio They're not doing a sequel to KIU. Sakurai believes he perfected that work. And seeing as the Switch only has a touch screen in handheld mode, the gameplay wouldn't be able to transfer over to the Switch, ruling out a remake.

I'd prefer a "classic" Mario Party ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Johnny Melo So...you want. Super Paper Mario and Paper Mario Color Splash...this games are by far the best paper marios (if you ignore the battle system)

No thanks, I would rather Paper Mario RPG 3.

The reason Nintendo is in success is because they're implementing THICC characters in their games. Zelda, Inkling Girls, Twintelle...
EDIT: Y'all in the replies are like "But the Inking Girls are 14..."
Well, LISTEN BITCH LET ME TELL YA. I don't give a fuck. They are THICC. Bye.

Mojtaba Mortada I couldn't agree more

Mojtaba Mortada you're right my dude.

Nintendo starts generation 9 with a bang!
Companies can have more than 2 consoles in one generation.
Nintega94 so Nintendo can’t start a generation?
Bojan Babic well Sony is still on the vita

Why drop the price down ? It is really cheap, especially for a hybrid console !
JB Brickman I can't see the problem either. I'm happy with the price. I think it's really affordable. Everyone who compares it with 2017 prices of other consoles is an idiot. Look at their launch prices.
Also if u want to compare to a next gen console, look at the xbox one x which is 500$, is that cheap?
to kill it at x mass time
Agreed. As long as it is sold out literally everywhere (here in Germany), why drop the price...?
Adjusted for inflation, the switch is actually the 4th cheapest console
Can someone please explain to me on why people are obsessed with 4K graphics, high screen resolutions, etc, etc?
I'm basically a casual gamer. So to me it's more important on fun the actual game is.
From what I can tell so far in the comments. People would like a game about staring at a realistic box better than games like BotW.
Digital Dragon Because they want a reason to hate Nintendo
Yeah I guess my point was really if you want those high end graphics things you should be getting a high end PC rather than a PS4 anyways.
*_"It's a double Yoshi exploshi!"_*
It is pretty damn simple. Virtual console takes sales away from new games, and they are trying to get 3rd party developers to make games now. Would you buy Snake Pass, Mr. Shifty, or anything else over nostalgia games at half the price? No, you wouldn't.
Joan Eunice never thought about it like that
I mean personally I would love Snake Pass and Mr. Shifty over Ocarina of Time
Joan Eunice Looking at it like that makes it seem like they're never going to have VC.
But Paper Mario though...*sigh* oh well, you win some and you lose some.
Right?
As long as Miyamoto decides to stay the fuck away from Mario Story, then there is still hope.
its getting hard to find games but i still see them i barely see joy cons in stock and I CANT FIND THE SYSTEM....its scary and I LOVE IT
I really hope the switch's design ushers in a new era for console gaming. I want my ps4 to be portable like this lol.
As long as the designs aren't too much of a copycat Switch, I agree.
wowperson26 The Vita kind of does that.
wowperson26 if I know Sony well enough as a guy who owns all the PlayStations : Playstation move= crappy Wii , PlayStation Vita=Crappy DS PlayStation Shift=crappy Switch
Sry if your a Sony fan but they did that since the N64
yay, nintendo is back! now if the same could only happen for arlo plays...
It's really refreshing to hear the general community has a more positive outlook on nintendo in general
I turn off ad blocker for Arlo.
And i still leave it turned on
Hurt me all the way
Little Prince Kain you do know you're hurting his as revenue by doing that, right?
Read my comment again.
Old Man, you know the more people use ad block on sites, the more the sites become subscription based. I mean if everyone uses ad block, every site is going to require a subscription.
"Nintendo is back"
~Arlo 2017

Nick Westhora prob lynel farming
Guess you could say Nintendo finally say "it's time to tip the scales!" (Cues id purpose)
There not back
THEY NEVER LEFT
I know a bunch of people who love the Gamecube but havent given a shit about Nintendo outside of Brawl at parties, and they have a Switch. And are talking to me about how good Mario Kart 8 is. Im so glad more people are getting to play these great games because Nintendo finally delivered on all fronts hardware wise.
If Nintendo is truly back, then where is my HD Paper Mario RPG 3? D:
Soon my dear friend. Soon
Corn I really hope so.
the Spaghettinator I'm personally a Pokemon fan and trust me Pokemon is nowhere near as good. Sun and Moon are the worst Pokemon games by far in my opinion. Pokemon takes no skill or timing, just a small plan. They are much different games. Obviously you've never played a Paper Mario game, or at least not one of the first two
First 3 Paper Mario games > Pokemon
I like both but the original Paper Mario trilogy is amazing.
I love Pokemon, but Paper Mario can't just be replaced.
Great one Arlo, i agree, lets see if they can keep up the momentum that they have.
Oh no, the Headox fans are coming.
10:48 this is pre Fortnite days 😂
