    Aye Just ran across your page today & tried out some of your processing ideas on my mix. The clipping & limiting seems to be the ideal way to go when it comes to getting a louder more consistent sounding mix for the mastering stage. Thanks for sharing Jerry! Mix ON! =)

    New to your page and you have some good stuff going!! I'm pretty new to mixing but was curious when you spoke about the individual instruments levels before plugins, you do not gain stage them at -18 dbs coming in right?

    This is so massive Jerry oh my gosh😮 Thank you thank you so much I appreciate🎉🎉🎉🎉❤. How did you get the routing arrow to fully display at the bottom of the mixer. And when I set mine to extra large, it becomes way bigger and I don't see the tail of the routing arrow.

    i noticed how some of your faders barley have any changes and yet the mix is so well, I need to learn how to do that lol.

    • @mixwithjerry
      @mixwithjerry  6 місяців тому +1

      I use the channel rack volume knobs and clip gain to set initial levels because they’re pre-plugins in the signal path. The volume faders in the mixer are post-plugins so I just use those for any small changes that are needed.

    • @sabreflash6489
      @sabreflash6489 6 місяців тому

      @@mixwithjerry ahhh that makes sense, I usually put my stuff on busses and just mess with the volume to see what I like

    • @mixwithjerry

      I have gold clip on the drum n bass bus. No reason in particular why I used StandardClip on the individual drums for this mix.

    • @mixwithjerry

      Change the mixer view to extra large (setting is available in the top left of the mixer)… then just make sure to have the mixer window tall enough and it will show them.
