I think longifolium and its hybrids are the easiest of the Phrags to grow and they bloom for ages.

I don't know how this video until yesterday. That is a spectacular Phrag. Fabulous blooms. 😍 So my question is, will you allow it to continue blooming until it finally decides to quit? I ask with a chuckle because I have a wonderful Phrag. QF Maria, also a big plant and also a sequential bloomer. Last year, I let it go. The spike itself went to 5.5ft tall and went on to bloom 24 or 25 blooms. After 4ft became a little annoying because it kept twisting the spike to the dominant light source. This year, I'll let 5 or 6 blooms, but by 4ft I will cut the spike to save energy in the plant.
Thanks so much for the tip on fertilizing the Phrags. I've still been overfeeding with the obvious browing tips. I did switch a few of my smaller Phrags back to bark mix because of my mismanagement. I rarily feed now, and only the obvious signs of needing some. I may try pumice again in a year after I see good strong growth again. My 3 very large Phrags are surviving me. 😉
Great video Julie, thanks for sharing your success. 🙏😘❤️

Yes Robi, it’s going to be left to bloom out and we’ll see how long the spike gets. How have you been? Thank you for watching

@JuliesOrchids Oh, awesome! I look forward to progress reports on the Phrag. I've been well, extra busy with my other plants, especially now in the heat of summer with temps pushing 40+C. One of the upsides to pumice/semi-hydro their is less concern of drying out during heat waves. Have a great day, Julie! 🙏😘🤗❤️

You sleep in your scrubs!? I used to do that. When I retired, I had to buy clothes because I actually worked all the time and 99% of my closet was scrubs.
A beautiful orchid. Just stand her in a nice space on the floor. My oncidium is getting big. I had to move it, because she was touching the grow light.

I have an old old pair or two that are Pjs, they are the best.
