make sure to change the water weekly so your plants root still have access to oxygen. and because the plant isn’t in soil and therefore isn’t getting its nutrients from soil, you should use a liquid fertilizer and fertilize one a month!
Could you please tell me,wt type of liquid fertilizer we can give
Can this be done with any kind of plant
C
И в итоге будет вся банка зеленая....
Where can I get this vase please
In Brazil we have a mosquito that loves water it gives you a deasese called DENGUE, it puts its eggs on the water speacially in vases, water that doesn't move, and then more mosquitos are born it bites you and you can get this deasese, a few years back I had DENGUE, I was hopitalized for 4 days, I was terrible, here many people di3 just because a simple vase with water, so depending the country you live in, dirt is always a better option
I’ve had that too! I wouldn’t wish it on anyone!! I got bite in Punta Cana. So glad you made it through it
If the plants are kept inside the house or apartment, it should be fine. Make sure to bug proof your doors and windows. Install a screen door if possible.
I had it while I was in Africa in 2019. I have never sweated so much in my entire Life, because of the fever. Also it gave me horrible joint pain. Thank god my daughter didn’t get bitten once!
Por esa razón hay que estar cambiándole el agua a las plantas💐🙏🙏
Correct. We have dengue in Malaysia too. So change your plant water every 5 days and clean the roots too just in case any mosquito larvae sticking to the plant.
A couple of things I would mention, having done Kratky Hydroponics. Don't fill the water all the way up, as plants in solution actually like the top portion of their roots not in water ("air roots"). For algae, you can put a little hydrogen peroxide in the water (but the low dilution product from the pharmacy has a stabiliser in it. It will work enough if you cannot get the unstabilised H202. You will get algae in a clear container. Finally, put some for-hydro nutrients in the water. The for-soil nutrients do not have the right blend. You can usually get cheap hydro nutrients (all-in-one products) for little one-off projects like this. If you are serious about hydro, then you need to get quality nutrients.
Nutrience and algae left the comment section
I think algae is gonna enter it very soon 😂
You add diluted liquid fertilizer in order to provide nutrients.
@@scoopearlynutrients plus light through the clear glass will result in algae. I have over 50 plants in semi-hydro and each one of them got algae until I put them in a solid container.
I have grown plants in water for years. I give them miracle grow mixed in the water and I change out their water when they need it. I find if I keep them out of direct sunlight there is no algae. I love watching how the roots gro, I think they look so interesting 🤗
@@ItsroccibЧто такое твёрдый контейнер?
Adding the pebbles to the bottom only with the roots sitting on top of them makes changing the water easier and it still looks really pretty☺️
👍👍
How it's gonna stand correctly then?
Зачем вы нам это все показываете если неможите рассказать на русском
Lol about 2 seconds I was going "please don't but a betta in there ".
Very glad i was wrong 😂
I always collect those rocks for my plants on walks 🪴
Dekhne me beautiful lg raha hai but plants ko kitni problem ho rahi hogi mitti ke bina 🙄🙄
Nice with the White stones, vase and all. The design. Beautiful! “TheChef”
I thought those were marshmallows for a second
I thought cotton balls 😉

J'adore cette idée
It was just beautiful as it was
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Plants need roots for breathing, that’s why water in excess can kill them, how do you deal with it?and the need of nutrients?
Plants can grow in water. Plenty of oxygen
Интересно посмотреть на растение через несколько месяцев)
It's interesting to see this plant after a few months in bottle)
Sooo sooo beautiful❤❤❤
*Soil for food has left the chat*
Very beautiful decoration ❤❤
Am i the only one who thought those rocks were marshmallows ✋😭
Beautiful in bottle. Have a blessed day.
Thank you! You too!
How do you resolve the algae issue, eventually forming on the pebbles and roots, due to the sunlight through the transparent glass? Any remedy other than washing them?
Changing the water every couple of weeks
Changing water and adding a penny.
@@Luuvewhat's the benefit of the penny?
You should always change the water of hydroponic plants once a week.
@@jazzyjoanna Copper has properties that makes it incompatible with algae. So when you add a penny or two..you'll see the algae grow less or not at all.
Minas Gerais-Brasil.
Parabéns! Que inteligência tremenda 👏👏👏😙❤
Beautiful 😊
Beautiful idea, beautiful plant!
Beautiful roots
Wow so nice
Thanks 😁
Beautiful
Beautiful plants ❤
Love this one too 😍here we go again...🙈
Won't that environment change risk to shock the plant?
yeah it will be shocked, but it will recover quickly.
Nah it's fine
In an ideal world, you wouldn’t actually convert roots from soil to water. This is because moving plants can indeed shock and fill them. Most people find it far more beneficial to start growing cuttings inside of water (i.e. propagate). This way the roots will develop in the water. It is tough for a plant to adapt to a new environment so you have to be super gentle and not to handle the roots roughly.
Lindo arreglo ...
Love the idea ❤
Beautiful ❤
I did the same thing with my Janet Craig after an old root rot issue.
Great 👍
Wow ganda
Very nice indeed. People commenting negatively, please note that you also need to clean it from time to time. Don’t be so lazy.
Thank you 😊
Nice idea.. which fertilizers to use for plants in water
i like your video...can you please teach more on other plants...i began gardening the last 7 months....thank you
I’ve got lots of vids on the channel 👍
It was looking more beautiful in pot
Thank you 😊
That's so lovely!!
Thank you! 😊
Wow I like that
good idea😊❤
Me : Rashogulla😋😋
Others : Marshmallows
Gardener : It's white pebbles, lol 😆
How does this method work on Hoya plants they can be so timid?
@JoAnna Thomas Hoya thrives in a dry environment. So it needs very little water 💧 👍
I thought rasgulla
I'm going to try this with my small dracaena. Thanks!
You bet!
Glorious. Can I do with any plant or I must be cerful whot plant can handle this much water
Any plant
It depends on what type of plant you use
Beautiful ❤️
Nice sharing
Perfect! 😍👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!! 😊
What other plants have a similar root system? You've made me a very happy plant parent. Love your videos ❤️
Calathea, spider plants, snake plants. Basically anything without bulbs like Zz plant

@@SheffieldMadePlantscan all these plant you mentioned, grow in water...the way you planted in the video

Just surfing internet. Stop worrying about me.
Love this ❤🎉
It is sooo beautiful..

Thanks and welcome
And about nutrients? Should I give some vitamins? Be careful about mosquitos, especially if you are in Brazil... Dengue is very dangerous.
But it is a very beautiful idea 🎉
Muy bello!! Pero tienes que estar cambiandole el agua y lavando las piedras muy constantemente
Que lindo !!! 🪴
I purchase honey from the field now from the stores I have plenty of mason jars I am going to do that thank you
Look good for now...
So beautiful
Thank you 😊
Aapka glass jar it's very good 👆👌👌👍
I know this is too late, but what helps you choose which rocks ro use? I noticed some uses small river rocks, but this one have larger ones; what helps you determine it?
It’s purely decorative so just whatever looks like. It’s good to mix it up
My favorite spider plants ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Brilliant
Nice idea but will the plant survive ?
Yes
It may not grow very well tho overall and stay around the same size. Might be wise to use additives in that case.
It's difficult to clean the bottle every week otherwise it might cause root rot.. Not a sustainable idea
Just change the water. Keeps it clean and fresh
@@SheffieldMadePlants alright, but how do you really keep the roots from moving as much each time you are to change the water?
Won’t it disturb the plant’s growth?
It's super easy! Just drain the water, let the tap run through the glass container for a minute, then refill it with fresh water.
We can keep the water plant in soil ,it will survive , but if we keep the soil plant in water root rot will happened soon
As long as the water is changed regularly lots of plants will grow beautifully in water with nutrients added occasionally. It is usually easier to start with some cuttings and put them in water to grow roots rather than transferring a plant with a full root system from soil to water though .
Awesome 👍
👍😁
but doesnt it need soil?
Si obvio!!! No se por qué la sacan de su habitad natural!!!!😢
I hate this idea
Love this I'm going to mix beach glass as well ☺️✌️💛🌻🤗
Sounds great!
Rocks R2 heavy might stop roots growing 🙏
Don’t think that’s a problem
Alternatively, you can use LECA. That's what I grow my hydro plants in.
Nice 👍
Super
Adoro i tuoi video..👍🌺
Grazie mille
Can we do it for alovea plant
Nice deco but at one time the plant will die because only water doesn’t nourish the plant, it needs nutrients
Çok güzel oldu yosunlanma ile ilgili ne yapabilirim
How many days would it survive?
❤❤❤❤❤
You’re going to kill it?..✍🏻🙄
Of course
Через некоторое время баночка не будет такой красивой. Налет от воды... Кашпо+земля!

Pretty
Will it stay alive without soil??
Yep
E a proriferacao de pernilongos?
To bad after 2 weeks the glass is coverd in alge and chalk 😂😂😂 but nice idea
LOVE IT
Thanks 👍
Super🎉
😍
I have a plant like this and this was inspiring to do since I have had it for a while now and I feel it need something "new".
But I wonder should you replace the water often or how does this work?
I mean don't the water get muddy or do algiers start to grow or something in the long run.
Also I wonder do stones get nutrients to the plant or do you have to add in the water?
I got one more question sorry, my plant has a pretty long stem is it harmful to "bury" the stem in the stones?
Should aim to feed it regularly with liquid fertilizer and change the water whenever it appears cloudy or seems to be forming algea.
Very pretty
Thank you! 😊
it's gonna die. basics of hydroponics state that roots musn't be in direct contact with water to avoid to see them rotten on ease. water level must be kept under the roots, plus you need inerts that can spread water by capillarity. leca for example, not stones.
OK boss
Funny, I water propagate a lot, and I never have roots rotting even though the entire point of water propagation is growing roots in the water. Sometimes, I've even had them living in the water for months after technically being ready to move because life got away from me, and I didn't get them potted up. As long as I remember to keep the water topped up ie. always covering the roots, they're absolutely fine.
I have quite a few things that have been in distilled water only since I began trying in July 2022. And they’re thriving wonderfully- better than I thought they would actually. Wish we could share photos- I have 2 avocado trees I began from just the (pit) seeds that are both about 3-4+ feet tall, but would be much taller if I did not have to cut them back as part of the process. Always having been in water & the roots are a thriving wonder to look at in the glass too- very lovely I’ll say. Pathos are another one that’s been doing very well, & shockingly 1 ginger root that’s decided it’s happy with the water, lol. Learning curve from doing a land garden to apartment growing has been an adventure to say the least :)
Depends on the plant.
Nice
Thanks
Đang trồng trong đất..sang thủy canh có sống được không..hay chỉ làm video cho like
That plant is going to be hating life with no nutrients but water
Don’t worry pal. We can always add nutrients to the water 🙄
Yeah I feel bad for the plant too
Absolutely. There is no dearth of selfish people. U can’t grow a happy plant in water that was used to be growing in soil.
@@vidyasonavane9602 if it was aquarium water it'd be different but this is just not good at all
@@pkaspar78I feel bad for plants that are killed by people in soil, you can grow veggies in water if you are a skilled grower🤷🏽♀️
Sólo agua y piedras? No durará mucho.
What do the white rocks do because I noticed you put them in water first.
Purely decorative. I washed them first otherwise water goes cloudy
Thank you for answering my question
It's not going to stay that green for long....
N🎉ice
Ok I guess I’m going to sound foolish, but don’t plants and trees need soil?
They can grow hydroponically
@@SheffieldMadePlants Thank you for replying!
That would make the plant weaker
How come?
I've noticed that with my plants in only water too. Once I plant them properly with soil they start new growth like crazy. They need the nutrients.
@@sharedexperiences2773 you can add nutrients to the water...
@@sharedexperiences2773 many people grow plants in hydroponics or semi-hydroponics and for that, they use nutrient solution. Using just plain water is only good for plant propagation but if you want to continue growing the plant in water, you need to add in nutrients specifically for hydroponics.
@@kitina I'm aware, thank you.
