Mike and I are both battling severe Brain conditions. Different conditions, but we are both deeply affected. Seeing him in his battle helps me feel less alone.
I was a child of the 80’s that grew up watching Family Ties, Teen Wolf, Back to the Future, and pretty much all this man’s films. Loved them all. This breaks my heart. On the bright side, this legend has created a foundation for Parkinsons that has raised an incredible amount of money that is already making it possible for people who are diagnosed early to not have to suffer the same fate that he has had to. For that, he truly IS a hero.
"it's like we were given twins. Here is one for all the years you have wasted and here is one for now. So all these beautiful things happened." Those words hit me ❤️
Michael has been a great advocate for Parkinson Disease. He didn’t just hideaway in denile but fought head on and brought the the disease to life. Love that he knows we love him with Parkinson as much as we loved him without, and thats exactly how we feel about our loved ones with it.
So many of your fans care about you Michael. Thank you for your bravery in being interviewed. It most likely was very hard to do, and even harder to watch yourself. Thank you for your God-given talents shown in your acting. All the Back to the Future movies I've binge-watched countless times. No actor could have pulled that off the way you did. "You built a time machine .... out of a DeLorean???" Classic MJF acting We love you and pray for you. ...
As a Canadian, I am so proud to call Michael one of our own. This man has done a lot for people, and seemingly embraced his unluckiness, in an incredibly admirable way. Love you APK

Michael exhibits a tremendous amount of grace. He is an example to all of us of the potential good in all human beings. His message is jaw-dropping and so true!
God bless Michael and everyone else battling this condition. Praying for the day we have a cure for it and when that day comes, Michael J Fox will be one of the main reasons we see it. This guy is just a stud. His dignity, courage, perseverance, humility and compassion is inspirational. Was always a fan of his. Even more so now. So heartbreaking to see Michael struggling like this, this disease is so damn cruel.. He absolutely did not deserve the cards he was dealt in this life, but so much respect for him because he never gave up and continues to fight..
My dear father passed away from Parkinson’s 8 years ago this week. He was 82 and battled it for 15 years. Thank you for being an advocate Michael for so many. @@Former_Pastor I never understood people thanking the entity that caused this suffering and actually created these diseases. It makes no sense at all.
@@Former_Pastor You obviously don't know Him. There are reasons for everything that happens in this life, which we will one day have fully revealed to us. I always wondered why we can put men on the moon, satellites in space ,create the Internet ... but not find a cure for Parkinsons, cancer and the plethora of other diseases that millions live and struggle with every day of their lives. I hurts my heart to see him like this 💔
There are cures. I can guarantee it. Butt he medial industry makes too much money from medicines, and treatments, etc. if cures were released for cancers, diseases, big medical would go out of businesss
Because the human brain is the most complicated thing in the universe. Cancer is very difficult to treat or cure due to it being in every humans genetics and there's 100s of types.
I had thought that a procedure could be done on the brain that could help with the jerky movements. It must not be done anymore. I also want to say IMO, I think MJF is an angel sent by God to get the word out about this debilitating illness. He is truly a remarkable person. He has helped immensely in raising money to continue the research for a cure. Thank-you Michael J Fox.
Michael and Tracy are both an example of love and committment within marriage, it is hard for both of them for what Michael is going through. I respect Michael for his strength in fighting this, when many other men would have given up and taken a different route. Having a wife like Tracy provides that emotional support and security within oneself that allows a man to face each day to battle through. They are a fine example to their children, whom I am sure are proud of both of them. Michael shows that the size of a man is irrelevant, it is the size of his heart that counts. All men have their faults, but it is how you face your battles that measures the man and Michael measures up well and should be proud that he is a fine example of a man, father and husband: never give up, fight with every ounce of strength despite the odds and pain, ensure you dont just take but give back, to fill the emotional needs of your family, have a sense of humour and most importantly be an example to your children on how to face lifes challenges. In this day and age it is inspiring to see a couple with such strength and loyaly to each other and their family. Michael and Tracy are an inspiration to others, I wish them all the best.
So many families have at least one member dealing with something like this - my father and grandfather had Alzheimer's disease which is devastating to the person and those who love them, but this is wonderful for Michael who is such an icon of so many great movies and of course, a long-running tv show. It allows those who live through similar health issues realize that we are ALL a part of the human condition. No one is exempt. I understand that Bruce Willis' family wants to be left alone, but he is also a person that is so well-known for iconic movies everyone has seen...his condition could, like Michael's, bring people to acknowledge that it isn't odd or unusual for families all across the United States (and elsewhere) to be living in/with similar circumstance. Again, connecting us to the human condition...
So proud of Michael for everything he’s accomplished to help other’s suffering as well as himself. You truly are one of the best actors of yours , mine and our time keep up the great work.
"Great Scott! You built a time machine, out of a delorean? This is heavy." Classic. I will say that Back To The Future Part II is the best sequel ever made because in the last half of the movie they actually go back in to the first movie and Fox plays so many different characters in the movie. It's pure magic and Still is a Great movie to. Love ya Fox. Cheers from Australia 😺🦘🐨
My beloved Uncle suffered from this dreadful disease, Jan. He was so exhausted from the constant movement he would sometimes fall asleep mid-conversation. He was so brave though; I'd ask him how he was, and he would give me a smile, and say, 'I'm fine thanks love, how about you?' I miss him every day.
As a newly graduated nurse i see many different illnesses. Some of them has been so unknown until we now can see them in people we been following. We have Michael J. Fox with Parkinson. Christina Applegate with MS. We saw Robin Williams with Lewy body demens and so on. Its important that this illnesses is known, because there is so many of the people with them that suffers.
Yes, and their high profiles bring in money for research that really does some good. You can compare it to other diseases like Essential Tremor, that don't have a famous advocate and so get a LOT less funding for research and help. I wish it was not that way, but it is.
Bindi Irwin and ENDOMETRIOSIS. I want to get the word out on this excruciatingly painful disease. It can ruin your life, but it's invisible. And since it only affects women, there's no money or research done to find a cure, or at least an effective treatment for it!!!!!!!

I understand. But MJF doesn't want people feeling pity. He mentions it's just fear from other people that is projected on him. I think it's remarkable what he has done as someone living with Parkinson for over 30 years.
Empathy and compassion and deep respect for the courage and battle he has faced for so long. We really send our best to you and thank you for being you!!!
@@Gemmarose9012 To be heartbroken and barely able to watch someone is pity. MJF has shared he hates when people have that reaction because he is proud of himself and is happy in his life. I have been living with cervical dystonia for almost twenty years; it is a very similar neurological condition to Parkinson's that may or may not radiate to other parts of the body, even to the entire body. I understand to a certain extend the tremendous ordeal what Mr. Fox's every day must be. Mr. Fox, thank you from the bottom of my hearth for all the "forgotten" Parkinson's and other similar condition sufferers. God bless you!

Michael said he won't live to be 80. Based on this video, he might not even make it to 70. His condition has deteriorated greatly in he past five years. What a tragedy to have one of the century's greatest talents locked up in a body that he can no longer control.
I remember years back - when people said he was faking it for publicity . I just knew he was being honest . He had all the fame he needed for several lifetimes in my honest opinion ...
I am currently being diagnosed w PD. This video of Fox’s movement disorder is unsettling-not just because of my empathy for him, but my fear of my future. Surely he has had many years of first rate therapy and yet he is massively affected by PD. Selfishly, I worry that the same severe movement disorder will befall me in a few years. I wonder if the long duration of disease (32 yr) is the reason that he is so affected despite first rate care. Any response appreciated. Thanks go to MJF for all he has done.

Oh Michael, you are so loved and the whole planet is rooting for you to find a cure for Parkinson’s!!
What a brave man, what an incredible human being.
"it's like we were given twins. Here is one for all the years you have wasted and here is one for now. So all these beautiful things happened." Those words hit me ❤️
I grew up with a father who had Parkinson's Disease. My heart goes out to him, and those that have this disease.
Michael has been a great advocate for Parkinson Disease. He didn’t just hideaway in denile but fought head on and brought the the disease to life. Love that he knows we love him with Parkinson as much as we loved him without, and thats exactly how we feel about our loved ones with it.
The world still loves him but it's still hard to watch him like this. I almost feel guilty that I can sit and lie very still and he can't.
"You built a time machine .... out of a DeLorean???" Classic MJF acting
We love you and pray for you. ...
😊 perfectly said!
Bless Michael J. Fox because he's still doing amazing things for all the sufferers and their families of this crappy condition. Amazing human being ❤❤
As a Canadian, I am so proud to call Michael one of our own. This man has done a lot for people, and seemingly embraced his unluckiness, in an incredibly admirable way. Love you APK
There truly is no justice in our world. This beautiful human being gets this horrific disease and without mentioning any names, scum of the earth gets nothing. Michael is truly an inspiration for his attitude and honesty. Bless him and his family.❤

Deep down… he really is a nice guy. 😊 Love MJF ! & I’m so thankful that he has such a loving family.
My mother had Alzheimer's. My husband has Parkinson's. These are ugly diseases to have AND to watch a loved one go through. Sometimes people still stare at him as though he's drunk or something. It's hard because his cognitive is perfect so he's very aware. One day at a time... Thank you, Michael for everything you have done. Have always loved and admired you and Tracy and your relationship. I hate when people say this when they see those who have been afflicted with an illness or condition, but he has always just seemed like the sweetest, most genuine guy. I want nothing but good for him.
For however much more time he has with us, may those days be filled with love and laughter for both him and his family.
2 mins in i just wanted to shout SHUT UP KATIE FFS !!! She talks on and on droning in my head and my fear was she wouldn't stop !! LOVE YOU MJF from Canada BC !! You are my hero and always will be forever in my heart .
I am so inspired and proud of MJF for not only embracing his Parkinsons disease but also working through it. I also have MS that there is no cure for, but I manage to work through it. The Lord doesn't give us more than we can handle. God bless Michael and his beautiful family!! 🙏🙏🙏
Do you believe that God makes people ill on purpose?
Lots of people commit suicide be ause they cant handle it, so that part is tosh as well.
I honestly don’t know how my dad could have made it through without his savior Jesus Christ each day.
We love you Michael and pray you sense Gods strength and grace for each day! God Bless!
Doesn't sound like much of a savior
@@Former_Pastor I never understood people thanking the entity that caused this suffering and actually created these diseases. It makes no sense at all.
There will be a day when no one has disease. I have several health issues. Suffering is just too much for chronic disease victims.
@@Former_Pastor You don't sound much like an intellect.
@@Former_Pastor You obviously don't know Him. There are reasons for everything that happens in this life, which we will one day have fully revealed to us. Unfortunately for the present we have to endure and overcome where we can - but Jesus is there all the way, comforting and encouraging, and strengthening.
Michael - we love you and am praying for you. Sending hugs from afar.
Thank-you Michael J Fox.
because curing doesn't make money.
@jeffreycole2816 oh another conspiracy theorist lol 😆
Truly a strong, remarkable man.
❤So grateful for MJF. Trying to help and caring about others despite his own challenges.
Really makes you wonder what's happening to us, and what it's going to look like in another few generations
Give the nan a break, if he's struggling, he doesn't owe the world anything
The documentary was beautifully done and MJF is an amazing man. The world is lucky to have him.
How exhausting it must be having this disease. 😢 You can only love the guy❤

@@tonthetopfilmsIt’s not pity we feel. It’s COMPASSION. Learn the difference.
Imagine someone saying "I can't even look at you because it breaks my heart," which this comment said. That's not compassion and definitely not empathy. It's pity and would hurt someone to hear that.
Love this interview with Michael J Fox and the director of his new documentary film Still. I admire, applaud and commend Michael Fox for being so resilient, brave, optimistic and--regardless his impairing and debilatation condition--he made the conscious and very humane decision to advocate and become a spokeman for millions of other unfortunate Parkinson's patients. I have been living with cervical dystonia for almost twenty years; it is a very similar neurological condition to Parkinson's that may or may not radiate to other parts of the body, even to the entire body. Him and his family are absolute amazing - God Bless - show many how "dignity" is done
