Admiral Proudmoore: "You have always been naive, my daughter. You aren't old enough to remember what these monsters did to our homeland. The orcs and their kin cannot be trusted. They must be exterminated like the mongrels they are!" Jaina: "I won't let you do it, father. You don't understand!" Admiral Proudmoore: "I understand more than you suspect, my dear. Perhaps in time, you will too." A storyline 15 years in the making.

Admiral Proudmoore. Warmonger and prejustice bastard. ...poor Jaina tough. ..never played WoW only Warcraft 3. So not going to take part of faction Fan War, just laughing my ass off about comments tough 😉
Admiral Proudmoore originally DID sail west to "save" Jaina. He heard about the Scourge and the fall of Lordaeron and immediately went looking for her, and followed when he found out she went to Kalimdor. Its not until he gets to Kalimdor and sees the Horde that he decides to kill them all. If you go replay the Frozen Throne campaign, the first thing he says to her is how happy to see she's alive--- And then see she's standing next to Rexxar. And while Admiral Proudmoore, objectively, was a dick and wanted to kill the Orcs, his death really did throw the entirety of Kul Tiras into chaos and the wolves descend and nearly rip it apart from within. Makes sense the citizenry would write such a damning song about her.
I loved the moment when the Ghosts of the dead mariners start singing after her. Loved the Sailor/pirate-styled rhymes and song, superb work. You had the whole Legion to rest, Jaina. Time to give 'em hell now.
Missildine Online! I wholeheartedly hope so. Vengeance for Theramore. Vengeance for Southshore. Vengeance for Ashenvale. Vengeance for Teldrassil. Vengeance for Darnassus. Enough is enough, and its payback time. The good Horde is the dead horde. Tie a rope and keelhaul them for the Shark's content. Beware the Daughter of the Sea.
Daelin Proudmoore was also one of the characters of "Warcraft 2:Tides of Darkness" . Despite the fact that he took a radical position with respect to the Horde, he can not be called villain. Like many other veterans of the First or Second war, he did not believe in correcting the orcs and peace with them. For example, now in the Alliance there is another veteran of the Second War, occupying a similar position in relation to the Horde-Greymane.
20 years later, you gotta look back and admit that Daelin was right. Look at the Horde now. Especially from Jaina's perspective. It must be painful to her to betray her own father in favor of the Horde, only for that same Horde to screw her over and over again. The Horde betrayed the trust and faith Jaina had put into them. She paid a very high price for a chance at peace with the Horde by betraying her father. And it did not pay off.
You would only call him a villain if you believed that the Horde is redeemable. That is because you have knowledge he did not and because you do not carry the emotional baggage of lost comrades and a lost son in a war started by them. Yes, we know that they were under the influence of demonic possession and we know its true cause we saw it. He did not, he had no way of knowing whether these claims were truthful or merely a means to deflect rightous punishment. He did what he believed to be the only way to protect his people and history would make his claim a truth. The horde, time and time again showed that they are unreliable at best, out right dangerous at worst. Jaina, after investing so much, sacrificing so much and being disappointed, again and again, finally sees the truth in her father's words. A men who had experienced war and understood it far deeper than she did, the price of her understanding war grave and her wrath will be all the greater because of it.
Just to add - the ship is indeed in the game, and it's the one that takes you and Jaina to Kul Tiras. It even has a greenish tint compared to similar ships in Kul Tiras from all the algae and moss.
When you think about it, mages can both make portals, control the elements to some extent and slow someone's gravitational pull ("Slow Fall"). It wouldn't be that far a stretch to have a mage lift an object (in this case a huge frickin ship - but she is a very powerful mage so yeah why not) -Think Water-bending or Telekinesis
She's the strongest mage in terms of raw magical talent and was tutored by people like Antonidas, Rhonin and Aegwyn and she also wields the staff of antonidas which is a pretty strong magical artifact.
The ghost figure was the "ferryman" from ancient lore. Thing is, you need to pay the ferryman. This is why people were buried with coins on their eyes or mouth. She pays with the anchor symbol, which is the Kul Tiras sigil, but also the Theramore sigil. She's returning to her roots by returning her father's sigil to him, but she's also literally paying the ferryman with Theramore. But she's not being ferried to Hel/Hades, she's being ferried by her father to his ship. The destruction of Theramore was the price she paid to be able to listen to her father's words. The symbolism in this is beyond.
I think Daelin Proudmoore can be seen as a vilain when you have the point of view from the horde, but to his nation, he was definitly a hero. The horde was the ultimate enemy and even if he went to kalimdor just to kill them, he would still be a hero from their pov.
The Horde killed Admiral's son, he fought against them in the 2nd war when they slaughtered innocence. I wouldn't say he was a bad man, as he cared deeply for his people and the horde was his enemy who killed his son so he's a little bias.
First of all, the fel was brought by the legion. The draenei were refugees. And back then they weren't a part of the alliance because the alliance didn't exist.
I actually believe that Daleim actually sailed west in the hopes of finding and rescuing Jaina after all she was his last child after his son was killed by the previous Horde. But when he arrived and found the Horde building up again in Durotar he became consumed by hatred.
How the story of Proudmoore vs Rexxar & Thrall really was: *1 to 1 transcript of ingame scenes of Warcraft 3 Orc Campaign:* *Warning, especially for Horde players: only read if you can handle with provocant statements* Oh the sweet bitter taste of Irony for Jaina.. -------------------------------------- Before siege of Theramore: Jaina: Thrall, Rexxar, I come in peace. Thrall: Your father *threatens the security of our nation* and the very future of my people. You know how this has to end. (So by Thralls definition, Sylvanas kinda threatens the security of Gilnes AND every single Night Elve on Kalimdor, including Teldrassil. How does this have to end in his opinion?) Jaina: I know, Thrall. Do what you must. There is a goblin shipyard that could provide you with warships of your own. With those, you could scatter the blockade surrounding Theramore. Jaina: *But please, spare my men if you can. They are the only real family I'll have left when this is over.* Please do this... for me. Thrall: *We'll do all we can, Jaina. You have my word.* (to quote Taran Zhu: You trusted the Horde over everything in the world. Valued them over your fathers life. Citizens of Theramore, where are you... now?) -------------------------------------- During Siege of Theramore: Thrall: You've done well, Rexxar. You're a natural leader. *You remind me of Hellscream*, in a way. (what would Garrosh say about this during his personal Siege of Theramore..) Daelin Proudmoore: *I thought you savages would have turned on each other by now.* Thrall: This is not the Horde you remember, old man. *We have no interest in conquest or murder.* (hmm... Southshore, Gilneas, Ashenvale, Lor'danel, Darkshore, Teldrassil) Daelin Proudmoore: Can your blood atone for genocide, orc? Your Horde killed countless innocents with its rampage across Stormwind and Lordaeron. No, your kind will never change. -------------------------------------- After Siege of Theramore: Thrall: We will leave your isle in peace, Jaina. I pray we never have to come here again. Farewell, sorceress. (bet Thrall as world shaman is still no priest in the end, cause his pray.. naah we all know HOW this went out.) -------------------------------------- [we all know Blizz stated gameplay > lore. So the conflict between the Horde and Alliance will never end. Lets discuss about ingame lore and character we do care about. But don't forget it's only a game:) ] Oh the bittersweet taste of irony for Jaina.. *Beware, beware, the daughter of the sea.* *She is coming for you.*
Yeah, this is what the Kul’Tirans think about Jaina. She’s given up on peace and has embraced her father’s ideology. This is going to be bad. The other two are Azshara and Sylvanas. The quality of this video is incredible. I’m so stoked for BfA’s story.
The video is just haunting beautiful. I also love a nugget that Taliesin and Evitel mentions. How she doesn't pay the mythical Ferryman with coin, but rather a necklace that could symbolize that she pays with Theramore itself. The ghastly Daelin then wears the necklace before setting his daugther on the "right path", as to him, the necklace means home, with it also being the symbol of Kul Tiras, then departs.
The Horde murdered Daelin Proodmoore's son and destroyed many of his people. Admiral Proudmoore saw the atrocities which the Horde inflicted to Stormwind (Warcraft 1), Southshore/ Lordaeron(Warcraft 2), and the Eastern Kingdoms. He watched in horror at the brutality and depravity of the Horde. Orcs allied with trolls and ogres murdered their way across the continent. He then saw them on Kalimdor. To him, these were the same aliens who descended upon his people with genocide. He loathed the Horde and could only see the orcs as animals stained in his son's blood. Then before him at the first battle for Theramore he witnessed his daughter, his blood, his baby girl stand aside as the Horde convinced her with lies of peace. He warned her. Begged HER! He pleaded her to stand with him. Rexxar then plunged his axes and butchered the Admiral in the most brutal of acts. As he died, gushing blood from his wounds he cried, "You'll (Jaina) regret this....Beware, Beware the daughter of the sea." Imagine being Jaina and watching the life from your father drain upon the grounds of Theramore whom the Horde promise never to lay siege again.... Remember Theramore and the cratered ruins of the city the Horde destroyed. The city Jaina partook in patricide to protect. Now she rides her father's flagship in memory and vengeance against the Horde.
Absolutely. I'm not saying he wasn't justified in his hatred, but he became consumed by it. Unwilling to listen to his daughter or change his mind about anything. He was stubborn and hateful till the end!
Proudmore was not a bad guy at all. He was a good friend AND a loving father, I mean he marched an entire fleet to save his daughter from the scourge, don't know what you've read about him mate xD The man was just blinded by hatred because of the horrors of the second war, he did lose a son to the orcs!
No I don't think so, from what I know the admiral had no idea that a new horde was being established in Kalimdor. He said in the Warcraft 3 campaign that he feared for the worst when he learned that Lordaeron fell, and he heard that Jaina sailed west for unknown reasons so he followed her to save her. He probably thought that she was fleeing from the scourge and the burning legion that already descended by this point. From his perspective he just discovered old enemies gather on a new continent. So he fought against them. He was just fighting his enemy, that does not make him a bad man.
Shaojie Wu its been awhile since ive played Frozen Throne, but I dont think that was his reasoning. I remember him being a pretty awful, racist guy. Regardless of if he had reason to be or not
Missildine Online Daelin being a racist and Daelin wanting to save his daughter are not mutually exclusive. Remember that he did fight in two wars with the orcs and that the orcs were victims of the demons was not common knowledge to the human kingdoms at that time. Daelin had every reason to believe that what he found on Kalimdor was a population of war prisoners who escaped in a violent uprising. He had every reason to assume that they were the same Horde that invaded the human kingdoms twice. Now he definitely made some mistakes, primarily not listening to his daughter, but one has to bear in mind that Daelin didn’t play through the Horde campaign in WC3 like we did. So while he is definitively villainous from *our* perspective from his characters perspective his distrust is justified.
ua-cam.com/video/y-srMzikNr8/v-deo.htmlm20s This is Nobbel's playthrough of the Rexxar campaign with the timestamp showing this scene. Nobbel even says right after the scene "You can't really blame her father."
This was absolutely bone chilling, spine tingling, highly emotive and full of sorrow, self doubt and guilt, what a fantastic way to relay jaina's backstory and help us understand why she is mentally unstable at times, she has always been one of my favorites personalities in wow, and now she is back with a vengeance.
My favorite thing about the song is that it's made out to be a folk song, painting the admiral in a positive light, as a great hero. Just like many folk songs paint things one sided, creating an urban legend.
Spot on analysis and you just earned a faithful sub man. I hate when UA-camrs do react videos and have no freaking clue what they are talking about. You and Taliesin both are passionate about this.
I’m pretty certain a good chunk of WoW fans have a big crush on jaina regardless of gender and this just fueled the fire imo. Jaina is such a tragic character. She’s lost SO GOD DAMN MUCH and she’s STILL trying to do right by the folks in Azeroth. Most other people would have snapped by now, and who could blame them?
She basically has the Flying Dutchman now. That whole thing was pretty heavy on the imagery of death and the sea with crossing the River Styx and Davy Jones Locker. I'm curious if she did go to some death realm of the sea to get her fathers ship, Hela's realm perhaps? Or another?
I love this video, and all that you due dude!! keep up the good work. i watched it this morning on blizzard and it really looks like jaina is really regretting what she did cant wait to see what she does in BFA
All I think of when I see Jaina's eyes when she's on the Proudmoore at the end is that she's finally going to get her revenge against the Horde, because she now has the power to do it
a Theme of redemption, forgiveness & a changing in ideology. Peace at all cost which ended up sacrificing her Father & betraying her Nation. The Song is all about how her Nation holds her responsible for her father's demise. Jaina now realizes after 20 years perhaps the Admiral was Right. Her ideology has changed from peace to war. As The Churchill quote goes " If you are not a Liberal at 20 you have no heart, You're not a Conservative at 30 you have no sense"
Missildine Online! Its not bad being patriot, and he was hatful not racist... Ye orcs were corrupted then ogrim came saved horde and they still went genocidal on humans, they don't need demon blood... For veterans its not easy to forget those things, jaina was kid and she tried having good picture about them, but thrall was the only thing keeping them in line. Great reaction
He was hateful because they were orcs. It didn't matter if they were the noblest, smartest being he'd ever met - he would have slaughtered them based off of their race alone. I'm not saying he wasn't justified in his hatred, just that he was a bad dude. Consumed by it.
Rexxar isn't at fault for killing Daelin Proudmoore, the guy and his men wouldn't back down from slaughtering the Horde. Back then the Horde was more so than ever about honor and comradely but times changed and now that just shaped into something good that Jaina did for a whole faction into now something that she regrets.
May not have been Rexxars fault, bute Daelin wasn't in the wrong either. Many people think he just attacked the Horde out of ignorance, but these people often forget, that there was no kind of peace between Horde and Alliance back then. They always point towards Mount Hyjal events. However, at MH only Horde, Nighthelves and just 1 Tiny fraction of humans under Jaina fought together. But there was absolutely no Alliance involvement and so no kind of peaceful bond existed between the Alliance and Horde, back when this happened. All Daelin Proudmore knows, that the undoubtly bad Horde, which invaded Azeroth (under the control of Mannoroths blood), sank most of his fleet with dragons and killed his son, now were about to establish their main base right next to Theramore. So fighting them was absolutely justified. Only Jaina, who had a connection to Thrall and Cairne because of MH had to make a hard call. She didn't interfere but also didn't took a side. Now she regrets it, after what Garrosh did to Theramore in the end. Awesome story.
His last words to her were "Maybe in time, you will understand." And honestly. What is happening now is proving Daelin right. The reason Daelin was like he was, was that the horde killed his son, Tandred.. Jainas brother.... And Daelin watched Stormwind burn to ground the first time.. he's a veteran of the wars... believe me. Daelin has his reason to hate.. and now the horde is only proving him right. No matter how you look at it. Would you trust someone who did that to you? Fast forward all the events up until now. Legitemately. There is nothing you can compare or say to prove to me that her actions now aren't justified. Without being viewed as out of your bloody mind people.
The song it's supposed to be a Kul Tiran folk song. It's not supposed to be 100% accurate, it's supposed to convey the feelings of the people of Kul Tiras for losing his beloved leader
Beware, beware, the daughter of the sea Beware I heard him cry His words carried, upon the ocean breezeAs he sank beneath the tide Those blood soaked shores of Kalimdor Where sailors fought and died The Admiral fell at Theramore Because she left his side Why this? Why this? Oh daughter of the sea Why this did she forget her seaside days? Always the pride of our nation’s eyes. How could she go astray? When she did flee across the ocean deep The Admiral followed west What else but sail to save a daughter’s life? And pray she still drew breath But there he found upon those distant shores Enemies on the rise! But when he faced those savage hordes His daughter stood aside And buried deep beneath the waves Betrayed by family To his nation with his last breath cried Beware the daughter of the sea I’m listening now Father I heard, I heard, across a moonlit sea The old voice warning me Beware, beware the daughter of the sea Beware, beware, of me
Daelin wasn't a bad dude. At all. He was a war hero who loved his daughter and wife very much. Daelin saw the orcs, you know those enemies he had fought wars with and that killed his son, as enemies and he had no reason to believe they were anything else.
I find it unfair to call Daelin a villain. It is true that he depised the Horde, and that he definetly acted with hatred towards them. But he had only ever seen the worst that the Horde had to offer, and acted accordingly. He saw them (Figuratively) raze Stormwind and Lordaeron, and when they attacked Dalaran, he didn't know at the time, if his daugther had died, and then he would lose his son too, etc. He had ever once encountered orcs showing a shred of honor, compassion or empathy, and had seen thousands of people die to them. To him, and undoubtedly most of the Lordaeronian Alliance, they were nothing but a ruthless menace. Which frankly was a justified view to have of the Horde at the time. To feel fear, anger or "racism" against a force that seeks to devastate your way of life, is understandable. He then later learns that his daugther had survived, during a raid on an orc outpost in Southshore, and that she had founded Theramore. He heads there immediately with a fleet after learning of it, and encounters the new Horde, who claims to have redeemed themselves, as if that was somehow for them to decide, after all the atrocities they had comitted, he likely thought. And there he would die for doing what he believed to the right thing to do. If someone torched my city and its inhabitants on purpose, intoxicated or not, and later claimed that they had redeemed themselves, by themselves, I wouldn't give them any benefit of the doubt either. I am not trying to condone acting with hatred. But Daelin was a man beloved by his people, and was highly respected by the other Kingdoms in the old Alliance. He were even great friends with Anduin Lothar. And to all who were affected by the ravages of the Horde, he would have seemed to be a hero. And I think it's a shame to label him as a villain, when he actually was, at that point in time, a great defender of his people. There was and is more to him than just his extremist bias against orcs. (Yes I care far too much. :P)
It's hard to blame Jaina about helping horde at that time. Without orcs set Ogrima in Kalimdor. Night-elfs may not join Alliance after frozen throne. However now Jaina has turned back to the father's side. May admiral can have peace.
So, I've watched a bunch of react videos to this now and finally, I found the first person that reacts to this that actually knows what's up. Like seriously, most people that react to this have no clue about the lore, haha. Even the big WoW channels out there you know. But you, sir... you know what's up! So here, have my upvote.
damokt it’s really surprising to see how many people haven’t played the Warcraft series at all...because if it wasn’t for Warcraft I’d never have touched World of Warcraft in the first place...
Actually, jaina was in ttheramore to act as peacemaker between Horde and Alliance, and when her father attacked the horde on the shores of theramore, she refused to assist.
*Jaina starts to sing* Me: ok, I can feel some tingling in my spine *guitar kicks in* Me: ok, I can feel the hairs on my arms raising, this is good shit! *choir joins in* Me: *iceblock*
IT'S SOOO GOOOD! I think I might be addicted to this song. I'm listening to it constantly, and been looking up peoples reactions of it for the last 2-3 hours xD I think I'll stick around this channel though hehe ^^
Well he came to find her and happend to find the orcs along the way plus he was there to see the first war aginst the orcs and saw all their brutalety so i guess he was just asuming they were all bad
I messed up a little actually! I thought Daelin went to team up with Jaina because he thought she wanted revenge. I guess he was trying to rescue her? Its been awhile since ive played frozen throne
i dont recall it 100 % to actually, but i do remember he wanted to kill orcs and she didnt. so basic knowledge, and most streamers ive seen reactions off on this dont know much. especially the girls, not sexist meant.
I heard that the Chant is of the perspectiv of the kul tiras. So the song isnt correct, but they believe in it, because someone tell them that. And that ship is the Alliance ship
One of the best reactions. You get it. She is incredibly angry and now has the power to do something about it. This may actually get me to reactivate my WoW account. I've hated every expansion since Mists of Panderia. Grindy battles between who gives a crap. This....well this may be different.
Carl Yup I'm positive. It was the comic with Jaina that they did on their website. And yes - Daelin took control of Theramore and thats where all of the graves were made for Kul Tirans. The orcs killed them right outside Theramore.
I mean... can you blame his father for being extremist against the orcs? The same that invaded human lands years ago? He did nothing wrong, Jaina was naive.
The main motive for war seems to be revenge, and yet alliance players can't fathom how their "beautiful and just leaders" can be evil and want revenge, "only horde are bad".. Silly people. Jaina kills her father but alliance are like "she's so cool", Sylvanas burns a damn tree and people are like "omg so evil". PS: She picked up the necklace to pay and regain trust from her father, which in turn validated the fact that she is strong and he knows it, now she has to fulfil her duty, kill all Horde.. Which is evil but hey "she's alliance so she can't be evil"..
3:12 is that arthas? Also you can see his father disappears when she raises the boat (which i doubt is a mistake) so i think he is just a ghost of the past like the rest of the shouls, he vanishes when she admits her mistakes.
I agree completely. Jaina doesn't really need a redemption arc, if anything, i think she's on the "right" path at the moment. Jaina wasn't really my favorite character in WC3 or early WoW, but oh boy, after the bombing of Theramore (always remember) Jaina has been my favorite character in Warcraft. Without a doubt some of Blizzards best storytelling. Just a shame that so many people don't seem to understand her and just write her development off as her being crazy.
Why "believe" in something thats clearly lore? :D but nice vid :D he did get there to save her, because he thought the horde would only betray her, even if she would stay neutral to them or something like that ^^ (well, what they did, he was just right...)
It's Azshara - not Alleria. MY BAD!

Blizz did real good.
Admiral Proudmoore. Warmonger and prejustice bastard. ...poor Jaina tough. ..never played WoW only Warcraft 3. So not going to take part of faction Fan War, just laughing my ass off about comments tough 😉
"Peace is like a dream. Beautiful, ephemeral. Unobtainable."
"I'm listening now... Father."
Trens Gemini shes just the best!
Watch the WC3 scenario again. "Why didn't you listen to me?" is the last thing she says to him.
look like it's time to replay classic.

fantastic explanation! I havent played frozen throne in a very long time so most of my memory is "Daelin had it coming"
@@MissildineOnline lmao
Laura Bailey is a Goddess and Making Jainas regret for letting her father be killed is perfect material for a ballad like this...
I loved the moment when the Ghosts of the dead mariners start singing after her. Loved the Sailor/pirate-styled rhymes and song, superb work.
You had the whole Legion to rest, Jaina. Time to give 'em hell now.
Ravenaxis and hell she will certainly give 😍
Missildine Online! I wholeheartedly hope so. Vengeance for Theramore. Vengeance for Southshore. Vengeance for Ashenvale. Vengeance for Teldrassil. Vengeance for Darnassus.
Enough is enough, and its payback time. The good Horde is the dead horde. Tie a rope and keelhaul them for the Shark's content. Beware the Daughter of the Sea.
Exactly. And I'm so happy Jaina might be the one to dish it out.
Yes indeed, and she has that huge, massive Daddy's Gallion full of cannons and artillery that are itching to be used! ;)
add to that her mastery over water ..... I pity the fool that wants to fight her on water.
I'd certainly call him a villain, and I LOVE that Blizz is bringing this up!
Also Proudmoore lost many peoples in Second War including his own son.
That's the thing with the Horde and Alliance. There are no real villains. Just people on opposite sides of a conflict.
Can't wait to see that!
Probably not her dads?
Missildine Online! Its her dads. You can see the algae and the tattered sails. A literal Flying Dutchman.
Is Jaina a frost mage cus this gave me chills
also how the hell she did that?!
SnickerdoodleMcfox WHY DIDNT I THINK TO SAY THAT DURING THE VIDEO
Plot armour. Or She specced into Supernova.
When you think about it, mages can both make portals, control the elements to some extent and slow someone's gravitational pull ("Slow Fall"). It wouldn't be that far a stretch to have a mage lift an object (in this case a huge frickin ship - but she is a very powerful mage so yeah why not)
-Think Water-bending or Telekinesis
It's absolutely incredible. I would also argue that that ship IS her hell
You have to remember that daelin is a huge hero to the people of kul’tira, and why they would make everything she did seem terrible
I mentioned that!
well no shit, she choose a bunch of damn Orcs over her Father, her people...
tung nguyen thrall ain't no damn orc. He's green jesus.
I think Daelin Proudmoore can be seen as a vilain when you have the point of view from the horde, but to his nation, he was definitly a hero. The horde was the ultimate enemy and even if he went to kalimdor just to kill them, he would still be a hero from their pov.
Topchienne I dont even think thats entirely true - I think the Kul tirans have been fed a false narrative
@@MissildineOnline well, 4 years later, we know that you were correct. Kul Tiras was being manipulated, heavily.
@@ExarchGaming ha! Didn't even realize I said that
The Horde killed Admiral's son, he fought against them in the 2nd war when they slaughtered innocence. I wouldn't say he was a bad man, as he cared deeply for his people and the horde was his enemy who killed his son so he's a little bias.
He was a bad man though. That doesn't mean bad things didn't happen to him, but he chose to act on things with hate.
He saw the destruction of Stormwind and the Horde slaughtering thousands of innocent civilians....I think he earned that bias.
Desaster Chief while the orca were corrupted by demon blood, which mind you was brought by the draenie who are part of the alliance.
First of all, the fel was brought by the legion. The draenei were refugees. And back then they weren't a part of the alliance because the alliance didn't exist.
Desaster Chief yet most of the Draenei sided with sargeras
I actually believe that Daleim actually sailed west in the hopes of finding and rescuing Jaina after all she was his last child after his son was killed by the previous Horde. But when he arrived and found the Horde building up again in Durotar he became consumed by hatred.
Ower8x I'm pretty sure Daelin said he came to seek revenge on the Horde - and that he thought that was why Jaina was there too
How the story of Proudmoore vs Rexxar & Thrall really was:
*1 to 1 transcript of ingame scenes of Warcraft 3 Orc Campaign:*
*Warning, especially for Horde players: only read if you can handle with provocant statements*
Oh the sweet bitter taste of Irony for Jaina..
--------------------------------------
Before siege of Theramore:
Jaina: Thrall, Rexxar, I come in peace.
Thrall: Your father *threatens the security of our nation* and the very future of my people. You know how this has to end.
(So by Thralls definition, Sylvanas kinda threatens the security of Gilnes AND every single Night Elve on Kalimdor, including Teldrassil. How does this have to end in his opinion?)
Jaina: I know, Thrall.
You have my word.*
(to quote Taran Zhu: You trusted the Horde over everything in the world. Valued them over your fathers life. Citizens of Theramore, where are you... now?)
--------------------------------------
During Siege of Theramore:
Thrall: You've done well, Rexxar. You're a natural leader. *You remind me of Hellscream*, in a way.
(what would Garrosh say about this during his personal Siege of Theramore..)
Daelin Proudmoore: *I thought you savages would have turned on each other by now.*
Thrall: This is not the Horde you remember, old man. *We have no interest in conquest or murder.*
(hmm... Southshore, Gilneas, Ashenvale, Lor'danel, Darkshore, Teldrassil)
Daelin Proudmoore: Can your blood atone for genocide, orc? Your Horde killed countless innocents with its rampage across Stormwind and Lordaeron. No, your kind will never change.
--------------------------------------
After Siege of Theramore:
Thrall: We will leave your isle in peace, Jaina. I pray we never have to come here again. Farewell, sorceress.
(bet Thrall as world shaman is still no priest in the end, cause his pray.. naah we all know HOW this went out.)
--------------------------------------
[we all know Blizz stated gameplay > lore. So the conflict between the Horde and Alliance will never end. Lets discuss about ingame lore and character we do care about. But don't forget it's only a game:) ]
Oh the bittersweet taste of irony for Jaina..
*Beware, beware, the daughter of the sea.*
*She is coming for you.*
Yeah, this is what the Kul’Tirans think about Jaina. She’s given up on peace and has embraced her father’s ideology. This is going to be bad.
The other two are Azshara and Sylvanas.
The quality of this video is incredible. I’m so stoked for BfA’s story.
John Aldrich absolutely! Can't wait to see where they take her!
Watched this so many times, got through all BFA content so far including Siege of Boralus, still gives me shivers.
My favourite thing is how we can hear the ship creaking and moving about throughout the whole thing...gives me goosebumps!
So Arthas can raise an army of undead and bone dragon, Jaina can raise her own sailors and her dad's ship
Just the ship, not the sailors.
But he was right in the end. The Horde destroyed Theramore and betrayed Jaina...
Desaster Chief Yes, they even tried to killed her. And the faking green jesus never showed up. Both father and daughter(now) are right.
Anyone wanna explain to Goku the meaning of petricide
They were opposite sides of a war; I wouldn't call that murder
Proudmore was not a bad guy at all. He was a good friend AND a loving father, I mean he marched an entire fleet to save his daughter from the scourge, don't know what you've read about him mate xD The man was just blinded by hatred because of the horrors of the second war, he did lose a son to the orcs!
Save his daughter from the Scourge? No way! He went because he thought Jaina was seeking revenge for her brother. He was consumed by hatred!
Just sitting here searching for reaction videos of this cinematic because I love it so much, and your's has been by far the best.
+1 Subscriber
Hey I'm glad you liked it!
Thumbs up for knowing the details straight away, too many reactions to this don't have a clue what is going on , thank you!!
So ive heard! Glad you enjoyed this and I didnt look too stupid! 😂
OMG, this is Hauntingly Beautiful, I'll be singing/humming/whistling this song the whole week.
Manong Ban right?! I already find myself humming it
Jaina is my all time favorite warcraft character, i just love her to death, and i love your reaction to this video
I'm a proud Horde member, and this gave me the chills.
Looking forward to watch the other two, specially Sylvana's. We all saw Arthas in the teaser...
N7Valentine i cannot WAIT to see hers. I think itll give us some answers into her thought process too
Her last words to her Father were '' Why won't you listen, Father?'' and now and the end of the Vid is ''I'm listening now, father''
So good
3 watches from me so far... the look on ur face when u get chills is priceless..lol
Cloud you should see my se....wait
My favorite thing about the song is that it's made out to be a folk song, painting the admiral in a positive light, as a great hero. Just like many folk songs paint things one sided, creating an urban legend.
I love Jaina FOR THE ALLIANCE!
Castiel Angelo Hey! Me too! I think there could be a SPARK of victory for us.
Geddit? Spark? And your a burning Teldrassil?
It's beautiful when the voices of I'm guessing the dead sailors join in.
Seen like 30ish of these reaction videos. Hands down best reaction out there. And thank God someone said SHIP instead of FUCKING BOAT!!!
This video still gives me chills. One of my biggest regrets of UA-cam is that I didn’t record this and I screwed up my Warbringers Azshara recording
Finally someone doing a reaction video who actually has a reaction :P
Good god I wanna marry Jaina now.
SHE'S MINE BACK OFF!
Sorry bro I doubt you'd match up to Kaelec XP
She’s actually mine, thnx.
Oh... my.... soul stone, this gave me goosebumps 😄😊 I like your reaction!
OH MY SOUL STONE 😂🤣
For the Alliance.
For the Horde.
*For Azeroth.*
Spot on analysis and you just earned a faithful sub man. I hate when UA-camrs do react videos and have no freaking clue what they are talking about. You and Taliesin both are passionate about this.
I would have loved to do a deeper dive - Taliesin had some BEAUTIFUL insight. Blizzard did real good. And thank you for the kind words
Ironic how she once told her father "why wouldn't you listen" and now she said to the ghost of her father "I'm listening now"
I’m pretty certain a good chunk of WoW fans have a big crush on jaina regardless of gender and this just fueled the fire imo.
All I think of when I see Jaina's eyes when she's on the Proudmoore at the end is that she's finally going to get her revenge against the Horde, because she now has the power to do it
Shes going to wreck Sylvanas a new asshole.
Admiral Proudmoore was right all along..
this was so good, loved you reaction throughout it :)
Thanks Gemmy!
One popular russian folk singer Helavisa singed that song in official russian version of that cinematic - it's SO good!
Azgrim ill have to check it out!
Not a captain of her dads ship, the captain of his whole mafakin fleet baby
a Theme of redemption, forgiveness & a changing in ideology.
The chanty being sung is probably how the kul tirans have been told everything happened yeah.
Philip Gustavsson yeah exactly. Cant wait to see how Jaina wins them over
You know you've fucked up if even Jaina is done with you now, Horde.
#ForTheJaina!
YESSSSS MY GIRL JAINA 😍
I don't know what is more awesome the music or the great visuals
I hope this will be in game and now she's basically the flying dutchman.
I can't wait to see Sylvanas, and IF she never betrayed her father we wouldn't have wow, and WC3 would have ended it all. PEACE!
I just hope I get to slay horde with Jaina.
Proudmore was true patriot!
He was a racist egomaniac!
BB K yeah thats all Daelin Proudmoore was 😂🙃
Sorry - I realized my comment was taken out of context. I don't get into IRL politics my guy
He was hateful because they were orcs. It didn't matter if they were the noblest, smartest being he'd ever met - he would have slaughtered them based off of their race alone. I'm not saying he wasn't justified in his hatred, just that he was a bad dude. Consumed by it.
This soul with a Jaina. THIS IS DAELIN
Oh Jaina I love you , that was beautiful
Nice video btw ❤👍
SuNnYmOoN · jaina is the besttttt! 😍 and thank you!
That song is so beautiful! I need it in my life more!!
Paacreek Gimme a toy!
Skoll Shorties agreed!
Everytime i feel sorry, i remember Camp Taurajo.
calencor you should look into that a bit more. That was a set up by the Twilight Hammer 😢
If i thought my daughter was delusional and in danger i wouldn't back down either.
Jaina: '' Oh would you look at the time! Its genocide'o'clock! '' Go on Jaina, make some green skin carpets!
I don't play this game but this gave me goosebumps everywhere. Wow
The song it's supposed to be a Kul Tiran folk song. It's not supposed to be 100% accurate, it's supposed to convey the feelings of the people of Kul Tiras for losing his beloved leader
Leandro Menendez did ya miss the part of the video where I say that? 😂
I did! Realized right after XP
I absolutely loved this!
thomasaugustto thank you tomas!!
First - also I love when you do reaction videos - more like this plz
Ok bb! People seem to like them!
Beware, beware,
the daughter of the sea
Beware I heard him cry
His words carried,
upon the ocean breezeAs he sank beneath the tide
Those blood soaked shores of Kalimdor
Where sailors fought and died
The Admiral fell at Theramore
Because she left his side
Why this?
Why this?
Oh daughter of the sea
Why this did she forget her seaside days?
Always the pride of our nation’s eyes.
How could she go astray?
When she did flee across the ocean deep
The Admiral followed west
What else but sail to save a daughter’s life?
And pray she still drew breath
But there he found upon those distant shores
Enemies on the rise!
But when he faced those savage hordes
His daughter stood aside
And buried deep beneath the waves
Betrayed by family
To his nation with his last breath cried
Beware the daughter of the sea
I’m listening now
Father
I heard, I heard, across a moonlit sea
The old voice warning me
Beware, beware the daughter of the sea
Beware, beware, of me
Vermotaa it’s savage foes not hordes but close enough...
Absolutely. I'm sure this isnt the last we've seen of Daelin.
Jaina will kill Sylvanas. Calling it. Great stuff dude. Will be watching more in the future.
Id be so down! And thank you very much, clothing!
Makes me chill :)..and awesome music!
Stevan Serdar its beautiful!
I must admit even i am hardcore horde.
Actually, jaina was in ttheramore to act as peacemaker between Horde and Alliance, and when her father attacked the horde on the shores of theramore, she refused to assist.
yup? what was the ACTUALLY for?
Daelin did nothing wrong and you know it.
Daelin did everything wrong.
*Jaina starts to sing* Me: ok, I can feel some tingling in my spine
*guitar kicks in* Me: ok, I can feel the hairs on my arms raising, this is good shit!
*choir joins in* Me: *iceblock*
LEGIT THO
IT'S SOOO GOOOD! I think I might be addicted to this song. I'm listening to it constantly, and been looking up peoples reactions of it for the last 2-3 hours xD I think I'll stick around this channel though hehe ^^
Jaina is so fucking ready to throw down.
Well he came to find her and happend to find the orcs along the way plus he was there to see the first war aginst the orcs and saw all their brutalety so i guess he was just asuming they were all bad
Not really! He thought she was there to seek revenge for her brothers death so he wanted to join her in doing that - not necessarily rescue her!
Didnt he go look for her after hearing she may have survived the destruction of lordaeron or is this just old lore?
Nice reaction dude :)
If you want to learn the lyrics, check out Sharm on UA-cam, she does a lot of warcraft music, parodies and she is very talented.
finally a streamer who knows the lore...
I messed up a little actually! I thought Daelin went to team up with Jaina because he thought she wanted revenge. I guess he was trying to rescue her? Its been awhile since ive played frozen throne
i dont recall it 100 % to actually, but i do remember he wanted to kill orcs and she didnt. so basic knowledge, and most streamers ive seen reactions off on this dont know much. especially the girls, not sexist meant.
i hope they do for sylvanas in the same manner and use the Lament of the Highborne song
geodageo yes please!
I love this and the follow up feedback!! Totally on the same page with you
Kalestrom ITS SO GOOD
I heard that the Chant is of the perspectiv of the kul tiras. So the song isnt correct, but they believe in it, because someone tell them that. And that ship is the Alliance ship
If it wasnt for Jaina there wouldn't be a horde at all.
when you watch a youtube video inside a youtube video
Brody Benitez welcome to the world of reactions
One of the best reactions. You get it. She is incredibly angry and now has the power to do something about it. This may actually get me to reactivate my WoW account. I've hated every expansion since Mists of Panderia. Grindy battles between who gives a crap. This....well this may be different.
Best reaction :)
Freddy Sepulveda thanks Freddy!
Actually that was NOT Theramore... that was the Kul Tiras graveyard.
ACTUALLY nope that was Theramore. It takes place right at the end of the comic.
You sure about that? Didn't think the Admiral was buried in Theramore. You said it was at the end of the comic.. which comic was that?
Carl Yup I'm positive. It was the comic with Jaina that they did on their website. And yes - Daelin took control of Theramore and thats where all of the graves were made for Kul Tirans. The orcs killed them right outside Theramore.
Ok... Kewl.. I didn't know that comic existed (now I gotta go find it...) TYVM for the info ;)
Carl no problemo! Gotta be quick to respond to the "Actually" comments 🤣
JAINA
😍
Yes that's gonna be at BFA
Great video!
Thanks Vikkii! Blizzard created some beautiful stuff with this
I mean... can you blame his father for being extremist against the orcs?
LIterally not evil
3:12 is that arthas?
Also you can see his father disappears when she raises the boat (which i doubt is a mistake) so i think he is just a ghost of the past like the rest of the shouls, he vanishes when she admits her mistakes.
It’s time for Jaina redemption.
Joe Murphy I never felt like she needed redemption - shes totally justified in my book!
Missildine Online! You have to be the first person I ever heard say that about Jania.
Joe Murphy really?? Yeah man - I think shes dealt with a lot and shes made some really tough decisions that have blown up - literally - in her face
Missildine Online! Plus I meant for herself.
if she had followed her father and killed thrall and his allies then Deathwing would have won and no one would be alive now.
Agreeeed!
Why "believe" in something thats clearly lore? :D but nice vid :D he did get there to save her, because he thought the horde would only betray her, even if she would stay neutral to them or something like that ^^ (well, what they did, he was just right...)
