This is by far the best cinematic they have ever done imo. The Illidan / Xe'ra cinematic was awsome as hell, and also the epicness of the BFA Cinematic. But this, this is something extra! It's such a tragic story... and the song truly brings the emotion of Betrayal, Sadness, Regret and Revenge perfectly together. For those who didnt know, Jaina stood aside at the battle of Theramore because she didnt approve/ agree with her father Admiral Daelin Porudmoore when he told her that the horde couldnt be trusted. Jaina said he didnt understand. But he said I understand more than you know. Jaina had fought several battles alongside Thrall and they had mutual respect for eachother. And when Jaina talked to Thrall she said that she didnt approve of what her father was doing and asked Thrall if he could spare as many of the soldiers as he could. To wich Thrall agreed. And so she helped Thrall by telling him how and where they could stop Daelin and end the battle. "Hence the reference Betrayed by family in the song".
I love how this explains perfectly to new players who Jaina is and her story but still makes it so badass for veteran players who've been waiting for something like this for a long time! Love the reaction, keep up the good work!
Frost does usually have a blue tone to it the way we saw the whisps of light following her, but given that there was a ghostly, skeletal figure that might've been Daylin Proudmore? She might be taking after Arthas at this point.
i highly doubt it. It was mostly the ghost of the past and ghost ship and piratey inspiration when she the ghosts guided her. She may have raised the ship for sentimentality or to make a statement, yata yata. Thing is she plays a major part in the Alliance saga in BfA, she is just against the horde. That said if she wants to bring the necromancer class with the Kultirans, i wouldnt mind it... hehe.
Specs don't exist in lore... And yes, that hooded figure was an image of her father, but just as the ghosts and cloud and all those visions, it's all just in her head.
afaik Arcane is the core magic, from that mages can advance to fire or frost, but arcane is the basics ... in lore of course, in game its 3 specs ... correct me if im wrong ... but from here vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/wowwiki/images/f/fd/TheCosmicForces-WoWChronicleSample.png/revision/latest?cb=20160313175241 you can see that Arcane is on higher lvl than fire or frost
but other than being a memorable thing, is there any other significance to her raising her fathers ship? did she need a kul tiran ship to get into boralis unhindered till she got in the city? or was there something else, I must know these things lol
@@KouskaChikara it's really a personnal thing. Her admitting that after all, her father was right to distrust the Horde, and deciding to carry his legacy foward to make up for how naive she was.. and having chosen the horde over her father in the past..
she lost the love of her life cuz he was consumed by vengeance, her teacher getting killed by her past lover , lost her father and got disowned by her people because she believed she could forge an ever lasting peace with the horde and they just ended up bombing her city and killing everyone inside and almost died herself if it wasn’t for rhonin sacrificing himself to save her from the mana bomb she’s been through hell and back so hell yes she’d like some revenge for what has happened to her and her people ... no one stood by the horde’s side against her own faction as much as she did because she believed in them ... but as admiral proudmoore said the horde can’t be trusted.... so its about damn time she goes after the people that betrayed her and stabbed her in the back time and time again
First, there were no civilian casualties during the bombing of Theramor, so fuck off with that. And remember the time when she wanted to sink Orgrimmar and when she calmed down after that and when she calmed down again during War Crimes? Yeah, fuck that story arch, she hates the Horde now, again, for some reason.
Right, I can even imagine what they would do to their lifelong enemies. Oh. wait, I can: They would rebel, joined forces with their lifelong enemy and took down that idiot who is trying to bring them into a pointless war to satisfy his ego.
The Horde killed her student, and bombed her city as well. She felt also betrayed by thrall when he stood down as warchief and all her hard work went to shit because of Garrosh.
His last words to her were "Maybe in time, you will understand." And honestly. What is happening now is proving Daelin right. The reason Daelin was like he was, was that the horde killed his son, Tandred.. Jainas brother.... And Daelin watched Stormwind burn to ground the first time.. he's a veteran of the wars... believe me. Daelin has his reason to hate.. and now the horde is only proving him right. No matter how you look at it. Would you trust someone who did that to you? Fast forward all the events up until now. Legitemately. There is nothing you can compare or say to prove to me that her actions now aren't justified. Without being viewed as out of your bloody mind people.
Arranging and co-producing: Neal Acree Vocals by: the voice of Jaina Proudmoore, Laura Bailey and Dónal Kearney of ANÚNA Song by: Logan Laflotte and lyrics by Robert Brooks Director: Doug Alexander and the team at Blizzard (From Neal Acree's FB page)
There are a lot of times where she bends water to her will using magick, like that time she was going to go "Old Testament God" on Orgrimmar. Probably just used water to push the boat up. Also, that boat is likely Daelin Proudmore's flagship.
The story is a bit different. She didn't team up with the horde to fight her father. Thrall told her they had to kill him and Jaina did nothing to stop it. In the song they sing "-His daughter stod aside".
Spoilers: Dont read if you dont want bfa spoiled. Jaina raising the boat is her first steps into becoming a tidesage like caster. Tide sages are the ones who guide the kul tiran fleet and have a strong connection to the sea and water. Jaina also has that same connection if you look at her past. Enslaving elementals and almost drowning all of orgrimmar in the events of cata I think. This is her accepting that side of herself. I wont get too far into it but tidesages are influenced by the old gods in the new expansion and that area was my favorite to quest in due to the story.
This fucking shanty my dude, Jesus Christ, you can feel the anger and betrayal in the song. Top notch I think. Edit: And the visuals, the fucking visuals are phenomenal. Also the boat, she probably used the water to lift it up, since she has a lot of control of water, rather levitating it like a Jedi.
I think she nearly flooded Orgrimmar in one of the novels so if she can control water I guess it makes sense she used the water to raise the boat rather than using arcane magic to raise the boat itself. Loved this cinematic!
I found the video and song to be damn beautiful. Actually brings a bit of a tear to my eye. Blizz probably shoulda released this one last as I don't think the other Warbringer videos will be able to top this.
i am a horde player the last 10 years but i am sympathetic to Jaina for how hard she was betrayed. And how naive she felt in her life... i really want to see her get revenge to my side... to the horde. and yes we need a cool new feature for the alliance since varians death the alliance is down to 0 .
"Raise From The Deep", level 4 Sorcerer/Wizard spell. Transmutation [Water]. Considering she's specialized in water and ice spells and is from a culture of sailors, really not surprising she can cast a spell that raises ships from the sea floor and keeps them buoyant.
Not just a culture of sailors, but a nation with a whole class of mages that specialize in manipulationg water (the tidesages), so you can tell her proficiency with water magic comes from her homeland And if you take it further, her focus on ice magic all these years can show how she deviated from her heritage (ice being altered water, while kul'tiran mages use water and not ice), and that now she is returning to it.
I loved it, can't wait to see Azshara's since shes such a mysterious character that we haven't heard much since the Sundering and a few appearances in Darkshore and Azsuna!
As for her raising the boat, I had thoughts on that, Nixx. She has the Focusing Iris. She probably used it it to summon water elementals to give the boat a lift. If she could summon enough to flood out Orgrimmar itself with a tidal wave, I imagine raising a sunken boat would be child's play.
If my friend is right, that boat is actually the biggest one that was ever built by Kul'Tiras. It had so many cannons that it needed two types of anchors, one to put into water when it fired it's cannons to stop itself from capsize.
It's pretty well established in the lore that levitation magic exists. Gul'dan lifted an entire island, as did Aegwynn and Illidan. Honestly, lifting a ship seems kinda weaksauce by comparison, and Jaina is nothing of the sort.
how we do it in real life, step one, Close as many holes as possible, Step 2 Place air bladders around ship interior, step 3 start pumping in air. Step 4 guide to surface. Now use magic instead of Air bladders and pumps. If a bunch of mages can Create a floating city to use as a base of operations, then one mage can raise a wooden ship thats only been at the bottom of the Theramore bay for 35 years or so (20 years between Warcraft 3 and WoW and another 15 over the course of WoW).
This was a nice one, that music brought back old memories heck it's been awhile since I heard that song from Warcraft 3. Quote from beta "It's the daughter of the sea, she's come back to finish us off.... TRAITOR!!!!!!".
Literally the same thing happened to me, I got a java update notification in the middle of my video when I watched it for the first time. It's like cold water in the shower. 4:05
i loved it .send chills down my spine .living near the ocean here . Jaina raises her fathers ship from the depths like yoda raising the xwing ,magical :)
jaina is one of the strongest mages in lore,so hoisting her fathers boat from the sea would not be farfetched,if she could destroy orgrimmar, she could definitely carry a boat with witchery, that being said i love jaina and she deserves alot of credit, great job blizzard for such great continuity.
She didnt really ally with the horde ,her father came, took control of Theramore and wanted to basicly eradicate Thrall and the newly established Orgrimmar in his all consuming hatred of orcs as far as I remember. Jaina had a truce with the former Green Pickle Jesus.True, she did help Thrall and Rexxar (spoilers) but that was through 50% "I'm a show you the way" and 50% "I'm just gonna be over yonder doing my thing while you butcher my men and family" -_- P.S : Your videos are awesome Nixxiom, keep up the splendid work :)
Anuar Bizhan wrote on the Warbringers: Jaina Vid, Which I find very fitting. My daughter, the day you were born the very seas of Kul’Tiras whispered the name - Jaina...
In Spotify music service has now 2 WoW BFA music tracks. Daughter of the sea, and Teldrassil Burns. Singer is from voice actor of Jaina Proudmoore but in Spotify her name is Sharm. Her real name is Laura go listen those they are both free!
My daughter, when you were born the very oceans of azeroth roared the name...Jaina. I watched with discontent as you grew into an instrument of passiveness. Remember, our line has always ruled with strength and justice and i know you will break your chains when exercising your great vengeance. But the truest victory, my daughter, is embracing your heritage. I tell you this for when the ferryman comes, you shall be Queen.
to be fair Jaina never actully allies with Thrall in this attack. She does stay neutral as ofc she dosent want her father to be killed. But then again she could not stop her father from attacking orc camps so Thrall told Jaina that he is threatening the security of my ppl and as he wont stop attacking then we will do what is needed to stop the attacks.
The big boat is actually her fathers old ship, she uses it as a mark for all to see that Proudmoore is back and this time she will listen to her fathers words and not to trust the horde. And it took her 20 long years to finally understand. She lost her father, Arthas, Kinndy her apprentice in the book tides of war and the alliance "abandoned" her when she needed them the most. And the destruction of Theramore and the list goes on.. It's no wonder why she's like this. So I'm thinking of maybe the former leaders of the horde back then is going to get a target on their back, that includes Rexxar and Thrall.
I feel like she's going to seek out an ulitmate weapon that ends up turning her dark and ends up with arthas again. Love how blizzard has made her look a bit more aged too. That shows the stress and despair she's been under. Loved it more than windrunners.
"its just magic and sh*t." There are only 2 other Arcane Users alive on Azeroth that could either beat or hope to match Jaina Proudmoore, former student of Antonidas. Khadgar, and he would have a time with it, though I would see him coming out on top eventually, and Ashara the strongest sorceress of Azeroth. Tell me I'm wrong.
Holy shit! That is some deep ass shit on that! I see this story is going to dig up some deep emotions this expansion...wow, the lines will be reinforced, heavily! Welcome back War3!!
So... based on what we all know of the Darkshore, What would be a good defendable positions, bottle-neck points, and and all that good stuff there? We need to plan for this first battle of the war! #BattleforAzeroth #ForTheAlliance #Combatstrategy #WartimeStrategy #Nixxiom #TheMightyJingles #Letthehordecome #VictoryorDeath
We did have that awkward film a while back... I hope the film makers redeem themselves if they make another and actually go with the source material that already exists
Hey, I have to ask you a question. How do you think the first part of the battle for Azeroth, the battle on Darkshore, is going to go? What should we expect to happen there based on your in-game knowledge, Nixxiom? (Please collab with a gamer from the military or has knowledge of strategy on this answer please) #Nixxiom #BattleforAzeroth #warstrategies #FortheAlliance #DefeattheHorde #FeralDruidsToTheFrontlines
As soon as i saw it i started to learn to sing the song :D its too beautiful :3 gonna add it to my nerd songs colection, together with skyrim bard songs and the witcher 3 ones :D my colection is growing~
Umm, i think anudin is the seconf mainl eader not jaina it seems aina is gonna lead the kul tirans but it seems that sylvnnas equal will be anduin in the battles to come.
Haven't done a reaction in a good long while. Enjoy the non-content. Hi Crendor.
Nixxiom , your reactions give me *STRENGTH*
we sould talk on discord we can talk about so much anime ,odinisim , wow and much more it will be fun :D
Any bets on if the Sylvanas one has the Lament of the Highborne in it?
I'm disappointed that the first reply isn't Crendor saying "Hi"
Hope u resopnd with yes: can you command our horde army to raid Stormwind?
Laura Bailey is an amaaazing voice actress.
For real!
Jester > Jaina
Rito missed another opurtunity
Now I might be wrong. But I am 100% sure that the lady singing is Malukah.

The things we do to keep the DPS
now again whaat?
beware followed by a fucking loud ass airhorn
We know that Nixxiom doesn't care about Sylvanas at all. He just wants to take a nice, good look at Arthas.
Me too,I don't care a single bit about Sylvanas I only want to see Arthas with that art style
Dont we all?
Its her daddy's ship. She's bringing her father's warship back into the fight against the Horde.
jimboa20 and it sinks again
not this time. Hordies are gonna die! >:)
jimboa20 :D :D Never :)
Yep, can't wait for hordies to die!
Is the ship where her brother died

I missed all the others lmao. This is the first expansion I'll be playing from the start, since Cataclysm lol.
I can't really remember them to be honest. All I remember is they had the best soundtrack out of all of these series so far.

And yes 😂 beware, beware

Secret Spice FOR SKYRIM!
FOR THE HOARD!
I love memes but the skyrim worshipping has been annoying many years in my eyes. Seems I am a minority in this regard.
Matt Fortress It's not a meme it's just about a song
6:16 she was taught by yoda
It gave me Aegwynn vibes like what she did to the Tomb of Sargeras
Is there anything that Laura Bailey cant do?
She can't not be amazing.
Decide between dices.
Choose a good dice to roll 😏
ok you win on that one
Can't keep a dice for more than a week.

For Sylvanas let's get a Death Metal song.
Or just roll with Lament of the Highborn, that always works.
Depends or what it will be about.
Mr.Vojtik lament of the highborn: Deathmetal Version.
And the elite tauren chieftains in tha back ground singing it fuck yeah
Damn. I would like to hear that, but i gues there will be some chill evlish song
She’ll most likely get a High Elf based theme, just to bring back the old times, like this one did.

She didnt really ally with the horde ,her father came, took control of Theramore and wanted to basicly eradicate Thrall and the newly established Orgrimmar in his all consuming hatred of orcs as far as I remember. Jaina had a truce with the former Green Pickle Jesus.True, she did help Thrall and Rexxar (spoilers) but that was through 50% "I'm a show you the way" and 50% "I'm just gonna be over yonder doing my thing while you butcher my men and family" -_-
P.S : Your videos are awesome Nixxiom, keep up the splendid work :)
Holy hell that is a beautiful song. The visuals were stunning too.
The moment the chorus started singing i got goosebumps....
This song gave me goosebumps. No, really. I can't remember the last time this happened. I'm amazed.
Anuar Bizhan wrote on the Warbringers: Jaina Vid, Which I find very fitting.
My daughter, the day you were born the very seas of Kul’Tiras whispered the name - Jaina...
The Bell has been rung and I am here to watch another Nixxiom video.
Lol you think Jaina can't lift a boat? She was good friends with Aegwynn, and she lifted an entire island out of the water.
NIXXIOM YOU FORGOT TO PUT THE LINK IN THE DESCRIPTION
The ship she raised is the Proudmoore, it's her father's ship.
Voice of Jaina is Laura Bailey, she is amazing.
Jaina is going to be a bad ass in BfA
In Spotify music service has now 2 WoW BFA music tracks. Daughter of the sea, and Teldrassil Burns. Singer is from voice actor of Jaina Proudmoore but in Spotify her name is Sharm. Her real name is Laura go listen those they are both free!
Laura Bailey is a BOSS!!
FOR THE ALLIANCE!!
It's just magic, Nixxiom.
I tell you this for when the ferryman comes, you shall be Queen.
got goosebumps when he hit that note at 2:54
to be fair Jaina never actully allies with Thrall in this attack. She does stay neutral as ofc she dosent want her father to be killed. But then again she could not stop her father from attacking orc camps so Thrall told Jaina that he is threatening the security of my ppl and as he wont stop attacking then we will do what is needed to stop the attacks.
I diddly dang love jaina! The warbringer vid made me cry like crazy
Such a D3 vibe, and Nixxiom looking good with hair.
“Father why wouldn’t you listen”-after her father is killed. “I’m listening now father”
it’s just magic nixxiom
I feel like she's going to seek out an ulitmate weapon that ends up turning her dark and ends up with arthas again. Love how blizzard has made her look a bit more aged too. That shows the stress and despair she's been under. Loved it more than windrunners.
Didn't think laura bailey could sing like that either! Incredible!
GIVE ME ARTHAS!!!!
Meme Lord Death metal
lmao
A Thanos reference?
"its just magic and sh*t." There are only 2 other Arcane Users alive on Azeroth that could either beat or hope to match Jaina Proudmoore, former student of Antonidas. Khadgar, and he would have a time with it, though I would see him coming out on top eventually, and Ashara the strongest sorceress of Azeroth. Tell me I'm wrong.
New song for Nix to learn.
Funny thing that, the Horde didn't just recently help stop the legion at the world tree then. Gotta love that shoe horned in conflict
I’m curious to know if it was actually Laura Bailey singing.
Yes it was.
4:04 killed me 😂😂
Out of curiosity, has there ever been a moment where Juana shared her thoughts on Sylvanas?
"Don't pay the ferryman! (Ah-ah!) Don't even fix a price. Don't pay the ferryman! Until he get's you to the other si_ide!"
Woah nice hair Nixx
I called it! I knew that he would react to it 😂
I am seriously excited about this expansion and the story line in the expansion
Holy shit! That is some deep ass shit on that! I see this story is going to dig up some deep emotions this expansion...wow, the lines will be reinforced, heavily!
Welcome back War3!!
The ghostly figure on the little boat it's her dad, he takes her to where the battleship is.
So... based on what we all know of the Darkshore, What would be a good defendable positions, bottle-neck points, and and all that good stuff there? We need to plan for this first battle of the war! #BattleforAzeroth #ForTheAlliance #Combatstrategy #WartimeStrategy #Nixxiom #TheMightyJingles #Letthehordecome #VictoryorDeath
When do we have the WCU ? ( Warcraft Cinematic Universe. )
YEEES
yes pls
We did have that awkward film a while back... I hope the film makers redeem themselves if they make another and actually go with the source material that already exists
You can see the sadness in his eyes... Nixxiom's not Daelin.
Nixxiom... Its a magic :D and Guldan did rase a whole island from the sea so a ship is not that hard thing to do.
4:05 Wow that's some *PROFESSIONAL* streaming right there...
I was looking at this thumbnail and my brain actually turned off for 10sec
Love the conclusion from nixxiom... ”Big boat”
Beautiful song... Allmost made me cry... And it DID made me think of warcraft 3!!! Holy S*** I love this song!!!
Thats a song that will be stuck in my head for a while
Hey, I have to ask you a question.
Team up with maybe TheMightyJingles? He's a Warcraft player and he was in the British military
+Briton Merkley I meant The Mighty Jingles, it's his UA-cam channel
Yeah, The Mighty Jingles would be the best guy to collab on this subject with.
As soon as i saw it i started to learn to sing the song :D its too beautiful :3 gonna add it to my nerd songs colection, together with skyrim bard songs and the witcher 3 ones :D my colection is growing~
Jaina and Sylvanas are my two favorite Warcraft characters. I'm so happy they're the two main leaders in BfA's story arc!
Umm, i think anudin is the seconf mainl eader not jaina it seems aina is gonna lead the kul tirans but it seems that sylvnnas equal will be anduin in the battles to come.
