From the comic it could be Kul Tiras though because she picks up a sword in the comic? Though Theramore makes sense I guess her dad's ship is out there...
This was a powerful and emotional short. I absolutely love how it starts with her voice, goes into a man's voice and then back to hers. It was very seamless. That last scene gave me goosebumps. Well done, Blizzard! :)
It was a sea shanty. A catchy tune sailors and dock workers make up to share stories and lighten moods, going into the chorus of men singing is what her people think of her, they created a well known sea shanty all about her betrayal. And just because I said it lightens their moods doesn't mean the songs are well mannered, back in my home town most of them are actually extremely depressing in nature, the one I learned working on a dock for a few years was about how all the sailors will probably die at sea and nobody will find their corpses to bury them with their families.
You don't see ghost dad in the image where she raises the ship and being sung to a Kul'tiran shanty really reflects just how far Jaina has fallen not only from herself but to her people as well. Really well done. I'd say this nearly 5 minute video has done more for her than the past 5 years.
How exactly has Jaina fallen? Do you really believe that she is a villain? Sylvanas has fallen MUCH further, and many Horde players still love her regardless because of her "hotness".
Rafael Arandas fallen doesn’t always mean villain. It can also mean she forgot who she is and where she came from hence fallen from what she once was before this all started
I never said she was a villain nor am I making any comparisons. I'm simply saying that her character has undergone intense changes over time where she came from humbled, naive beginnings where she refused to help Arthas purge Stratholme to now being a literal Warbringer. The Horde and the Kirin Tor have essentially ground her down so much that she is now more or less continuing her father's legacy in spite of the fact that she was instrumental in his death because she didn't accept his hatred of the Horde since it was "immaterial in the grand scheme". A hatred she now seems to find closure in. Her own people must not think too highly of her either seeing as how this is a song they've crafted. "betrayed by family to his nations, with his last breath, cried beware the daughter of the Sea"
In contrast to her lover Arthas, a patriot who was willing to die a martyr but in his quest to save his people, he became the tool that nearly exterminated them. I still mourn for him to this day and wish he be given a chance to right the wrongs he committed by amassing a legion and marching on Icecrown citadel to smash the Lich crown and dispel nerzhul for good. Wishes and dreams are wishes and dreams though.
There's some good continuation in this. She said in the BFA features trailer that "My father said peace is like a dream, beautiful, ephemeral and unattainable. I didn't listen" and on this one she speaks to her father's ghost, or memory and says "I'm listening now, father."
The Glorious God-Tier Waifu-Chan Good luck touching the strongest mage alive. Remember when she was going to destroy orgrimmar and Thrall had to go beg her not to?
I can imagine Jaina showing up in Kul'Tiras to look for aid against the Legion, keeping her identity a secret as she returns to the home she hasn't seen in so long. A storm hits, as they so often do on the island, and she takes refuge in a tavern, only to hear the sailors singing this song about her. Feels bad, man.
I can see why she would do this. She gave up everything the first time for peace and was betrayed, even though members of the horde didn't agree with the destruction of her home they stood by as it happened, she would probably carry a huge grudge against the goblins since they actually took the bomb there. When she finally had the ability to forgive again she was betrayed a second time by the sunreavers, while they didn't want to help garrosh in anyway they didn't tell her what was happening even though they knew. She tried to forgive twice and was betrayed twice, the first time it cost her family, and then her home and friends, the second time it cost any trust she had remaining. I'm not sure if I was in her position I would be any different from her. So the big question I have is are they going to turn her into a monster?
Adri Adrian - at best I would imagine she would find it incredibly difficult to trust the horde ever again, if she could ever do it again since so far she's tried twice and has been betrayed each time. After all doesn't the old saying go "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
Andre Ware I love this for the very fact that unlike other short where Blizzard narrate for us because they think player are too stupid, this is show dont tell kind of story telling.
I honestly think this is Jaina finally finding her self, embracing the demons of her past. And with her saying "It's me" is her saying to the world. I am back, and ready. I don't see her as the bad guy in this. At least I hope not.
It was just heart breaking to see here go threw such a bad phase, I hope with all my heart she goes back to her sweet self (maybe a little bit more more mature).
Man, I couldnt imagine having been a part of events that people sing about in such a way. To know that people are singing a dirge that tells your story would be too surreal.
srk.ares That's probably just artistic impression from the kultiran song writer's part. I mean, it'd be hard to say anything with a spear through your gut.
"Beware beware of me" the Kultirans would sing "Beware beware of her" wouldn't they? So she accepts that she is some kind of a monster to her own people and now goes over to full revenge mode against the Horde ... Man I like the artstile of this!! I think this last shot of her will be my new Wallpaper (* ~ *)
Her last few lines aren't part of the Kul Tiran shanty. She starts by singing it to herself. Then the Kul Tirans are singing it. Then, she adds her own part. "Beware of me." is all her.
Try Nothing the last verse is added by her. The kul tiran song finishes the verse before, she is just adding to it as she sings to herself on her lonely voyage to her Homeland.
Τασος Κ If you carefully watch the trailer Blizz uploaded that has all three of them you’ll see a glimpse of N’zoth’s eyes! You have to pause the video at the right moment tho
4:32 I like how they light up the anchor on her shoulder in that moment when she pauses. Like she's fully committed to her fathers beliefs with it literally being put on her shoulders.
Silentix Lastname why are a couple of people taking my comment so literally? I mean I just found this particular music and video incredible to listen to isn't that clear enough? I have been playing World of Warcraft since the very beginning and before ever since Warcraft 2, the music from some games can be as important as the game itself take Doom for example,
Silentix Lastname There’s music throughout the game. And he’s not saying he’s never been amazed by music before, he’s saying this is the most amazed he’s ever been.
in warcraft Admiral Proudmoore looked like a villain but from this it seems like desperate father searching for his daughter i guess point of view is important
I remember the Founding of Durotar campaign. There was a mission where you need to destroy the Admiral's Flag Ships using your own armada. It was Jaina who pointed out the Goblin Shipyard you can use to construct your ships. This perhaps is the same location?
The Horde murdered Daelin Proodmoore's son and destroyed many of his people. Admiral Proudmoore saw the atrocities which the Horde inflicted to Stormwind (Warcraft 1), Southshore/ Lordaeron(Warcraft 2), and the Eastern Kingdoms. He watched in horror at the brutality and depravity of the Horde. Orcs allied with trolls and ogres murdered their way across the continent. He then saw them on Kalimdor. To him, these were the same aliens who descended upon his people with genocide. He loathed the Horde and could only see the orcs as animals stained in his son's blood. Then before him at the first battle for Theramore he witnessed his daughter, his blood, his baby girl stand aside as the Horde convinced her with lies of peace. He warned her. Begged HER! He pleaded her to stand with him. Rexxar then plunged his axes and butchered the Admiral in the most brutal of acts. As he died, gushing blood from his wounds he cried, "You'll (Jaina) regret this....Beware, Beware the daughter of the sea." Imagine being Jaina and watching the life from your father drain upon the grounds of Theramore whom the Horde promise never to lay siege again.... Remember Theramore and the cratered ruins of the city the Horde destroyed. The city Jaina partook in patricide to protect. Now she rides her father's flagship in memory and vengeance against the Horde.
Yeah, and that's why she's a Warbringer. I don't stand by her crusade, though, and I fear we will be forced to stop her in the end. Righteousness and vengeance are what keep the flames of war alive.
@@fighteer1 Cant say I disagree too much with her though, considering Sylvanas is now the leader of the Horde and shes exactly the same as Garrosh, just far more cunning and less bull-headed.
My grandfather saw atrocities German soldiers made and his family suffered as well - it do not mean I will seek for vengeance and kill Germans. My grandmother suffered from Ukrainians and Russians, yet I do not seek for their blood or blood of their children. In game NEW Horde didn't looked for war, they killed a lot of centaurs in order to help Taurens, which isn't a problem for Alliance. When Thrall wanted peace, Daelin Proudmoore was ... too proud to accept it ...
Interesting, the scene where Daelin Proudmoore was actually shown on-screen was pretty similar to Varian's death at the Broken Shore - fel bats, standing alone against an entire army with two swords in hand, etc. I actually didn't notice until I watched a second time.
Daelan proudmoore is supposed to be the strawman when telling Jaina the horde are savages who should be killed. But funny after how blizzard wrote the horde first with garosh then with sylvanas. Jaina is taking up his father's ideals and the audience feels that the strawman had a point.
Yeah, the raising the ship from the sea gave me literal chills. Especially in correlation with the ending of the lyrics "Beware, beware... of *Me!* " Was like "AAAAAAAAAAAW SHEEEEEIT." Was so good.
Typically bloodthirsty horde, this is why azeroth can't have peace. Its just the hordes way of life to be bloodthirsty murderers on the rampage, first outlands now azeroth destroying everything you touch.
I get weird Vibes that Jaina is.. sorta Dabbling in Necromancy.. or atleast Spirit channelling.... Still Creepy but good. Edit: Also the "Old Voice" could be the voice of the Sea... if the Kul Tirans have a traditions of "Sea Witches" (Haven't seen much on the Beta, so don't know) But if they do they might have some who "Listen to the voice of the Sea" which could be the voice of those lost too the waves and/or the voice of the Land.
This song gives me serious goosebumps. Especially with the last lyric of the song. I need to go and listen to your explanation of Jaina's lore as I have not made my way around to it yet. Also, starting to like your reaction videos (in general I am not a fan of reaction videos). Your little sway dance to the song made me laugh.
Yea, I can imagine, she's been in his shoes twice with the Sunreavers and the bombing of Theramore. Having people you trust do nothing and stand aside as their friends attack you, it sucks no matter what their motivations were, the end result was still the same. Jaina has finally realized that and it's a good thing.
I think she always felt remorse. She didn't want her father to die, but to see reason that this was not the Horde he once fought. However, with the direction they have taken Jaina, I don't see a good path for her. To me, it is sad to she how far she has fallen. It was one of the reasons I left WoW in the first place. It hurt too much to see someone I admire, who sacrificed so much for her principles, for peace, change into someone I don't know anymore. The Jaina I once loved is dead, and she is never coming back. I grieve for her. Jaina now is as much as an enemy of life and hope.... as much as a corpse as Slyvanis is now. May her final demise be quick, as the sight of her is repulsive to my eyes.
Idk. For me, man. If the horde truly wanted peace, they should have been better with the peace talks. Perhaps a small mock hostage situation with Jaina just to get the old man to listen. Back then, I was so disappointed that the horde were so quick to do violence which is not much of a change of pace from the "old horde".
The Myscira Maybe, the name of the ship, which would be interesting, because that is the island , Themyscira, and the capital the Amazons lived in mythology. Which would be fitting of the Warbringers that is being shown the Ladies of war.
There's a part in the story where as she goes to flood Orgrimmar she is against Thrall and described as at least equal to or more powerful than him due to him barely being able to hold back her tidal wave, and considering Thrall was one of the keys to using the Dragon Soul it would imply Jaina is arguably as/more powerful than someone equivalent to a dragon aspect.
that part was because of the focusing iris (she "stole" it from the theramore bomb), but i did read something about her staff being imbued with some high lvl stuff granting her amazing powers on par with the (old) highborne i think
This was so perfectly done. The chanti vibe fits perfect with the seafaring people, and I like the new direction they’re leading Jaina into. Now that she’s older it seems (from this) that’s she’s finally realizing the wisdom of her father’s decisions. I’m excited for BFA!
@Nobbel The siren statue you were referring to at the front of the ship is called a figure head. Often a symbol of good luck or representing a favored deity that the sailors turn to for guidance.
i think the spirit says " The scourge". We saw Arthas in the Sylvanas episode. If you played the DeathKnight, you will know that Bolvar is up for something, we will see his daughter in KulTiras. The Scourge will play a big part in this expansion. Maybe the scourge is the key to defeat the old gods ;)
I think we're just getting Lich Queen though. Jaina will lose support from the Alliance due to her warhawk antics. In turn, she turns to the undead to help her achieve her goals (probably take the Helm of Domination too), using the undead to try and wipe out the Horde (and the Alliance).
as someone who played as a Troll who survived the echo isle massacre ad the admiral's hands, and lost his mother in the process, i am spooked. WE WERE JUST TRYING TO BUILD A NEW HOME DANGIT
Every time I see one of these, it just amazes me how powerful they are. The amount of effort and creativity that it takes to make a video game strike an emotional chord to the player is astounding. The song... absolutely perfect to fit the theme in my opinion, and the art team never fails. Also Jaina’s voice is great. I cannot wait to see what’s next.
jus proves how much blizzard did a good job here, because ive watched this video like 6 times now and never tire of it. And i want a Mp3 of that shanty please blizz x-x Also nice timing with your lore vids about Jaina Nobbel anyone would think you planned it yourself!
Just remember what the Horde did to him. You're right, she didn't. She hasn't done jack shit for a while now. xD Unless you're referring to her dad who..didn't really accomplish anything, so kinda hard to get outraged at anything he did..
Why does it seem like so many people dislike Jaina? She’s so dynamic and has had her fair share of hardships, I really feel for her :( I read her book + arthas’ and it just made me feel even more bad for her!! Lol, dangit ;-;;
the "beware of me" line is obviously addressed to the Horde. I don't understand why so many people are convinced that she'll be a raid boss to both factions now.
Or else just toss the ice cube into the ocean to bob around like a cork for a couple years ^.^ that'd be a creative FU indeed! Imagine the sea shanties from it. "Hey look, its the bitch-cicle'
That last line with Jaina, that is a line she added, I believe she's referring to Medivh, the old voice warning me, across a moonlit sea, traveling to Kalimdor, it's her discussing her regrets at traveling to Kalimdor and helping the orcs instead of her father, I think.
I believe the part at the end of, "Beware of ME" was her changing a song meant to warn the people of Kul Tiras about her to a warning to the Horde that she's learned the lesson her father died to teach her and she's coming for them.
As much as I am absolutely in love with this animated short AND the shanty, as a horde player, it now makes me wonder if Jaina will give in to her past and emotions, and start doing things that others will question and may be called "morally grey". Personally, I'd really like to see that happen in some way, just to show that no matter what "side" you are on, how good you or your intentions are/may have been, or what circumstanstances happened to you, everything shapes a person and can ultimately lead to some questionable decisions. I believe the Alliance may be in for some interesting surprises.
Horde: we're different now! Me: how? H: we're no longer under demonic influence! M: Oh so you deposed your leaders like Ogrim and Grom who led you down there H: no they still lead M: so you stopped raiding alliance lands and are working to repay the massive blood debt you incurred by slaughtering entire kingdoms of people, right after a campaign of genocide against the peaceful Draenei? H: No we still raid and stuff... But the alliance put us in camps! M: so they housed and fed you at great cost to themselves despite them having every right to put you all to the sword for literally raping your way across their world you invaded. H: yeah... But we left and went to Kalimdore! M: where you immediately invaded the night elf lands and killed one of their gods H:yeah! M: you're evil you know, that right? H: no that was the old horde, we put "new" in front of our name, see? Completely different!
I'm watching this on my laptop and holding it in my hand as i walk around. When he said "mascara" I damn near dropped my laptop from laughing so hard. Well done.
Here's to hoping that Jaina goes full Lich King on Azeroth. As a character, she has gone through so much loss. A person can only take so much. She lost the one she loved, Arthas. She lost her mentor and her old home, Antonidas, and Dalaran. She lost her very own father whom she gave up in the hopes of doing good and to protect her own citizens, but now she seems to be regretting that massively. And finally, she lost her own people of Theramore, whom she had given up her father to protect from her father's war with the Horde.... only for it to be destroyed by the Horde years later and her people slaughtered. There is only so much loss that a person can take, until something snaps. Again, here's to hoping that Jaina snaps and decides to take no more. Personally, love the villains with tragic story arcs. Either a major villain or at least a massive detriment to the Alliance's moralistic outlook.
Notice how it doesn't show Tauren or really any other Horde races besides Orcs and Trolls. I wonder why that is? Could it be that she doesn't hate the horde as a whole anymore? But as far as I know, trolls done nothing wrong to her. And since she's fighting the horde in BfA, shouldn't the Forsaken be lurking in the background?
Back when all that was happening though, I don't think the forsaken had joined the horde yet. As for the tauren, I dunno if they were at the scene either since I only play the MMO and not the RTS ones.
The song is made by Kul Tiran people to warn ppl about traitor jaina not to tell people that she is badass and you should fear her.. and i dont think anduin wont help her in her murderous rampage.. and Daelin Proudmoore was an asshole in warcraft
Is it just me. Or, did any one else get that the Ferryman was her father. When she said "I'm listening" the Ferryman looked up, had a face and the neckless on.
I think it definitely is. Specifically when she says 'Father' he looks up. As well as looking like Daelin and it would make sense for him to have a Kul'Tiran necklace.
I'd imagine since he was still a prince he was buried. Yes he was a monster who slaughtered his own people and his father but well... he's going to burn for it so I can only guess they cremated him, stuffed him in an urn and locked it in some tomb of the damned. Of course not the same holy urn his father was in..no Arthas stole that and disrespected his father by using it for Kel'thuzad's remains but anyways. Some people still cared for Arthas... I doubt they'd leave his body to freeze and decay where he could be rezzed in undeath by a new lich or lich king. I'm sure he's got some tomb somewhere that we may not have seen...probably in icecrown and probably locked down with some holy seal to keep his remains buried forever more
It was stolen by the scourge and now rests beneath the citadel, enshrined in ice and saronite, wrapped in a scourge flag with a plaque on the tomb that reads "No King rules forever".
Wondering: I know that the song is about Jaina, but what if Jaina's father didn't meant to warn his people about Jaina, but something bigger? I mean: the song says he spoke the phrase "beware of the daugther of the see" befor dying. Why a father should say that? Even if Jaina and his father were so different and he may be felt betrayed, would a father be so hard? Jaina wasn't dangerous, maybe foolish to him, but not dangerous. What if his words was about a much more dangerous entity that is hidden beneath the sea? An Admiral like him could have been the keeper of some sort of secret about Azshara or other things. But is warning has been misunderstood and the Kul Tiran thought he was speaking about Jaina and wrote this song. I'm sure this is a wrong interpretation, but still, it's nice to wonder! Anyway, I think it's the first time I comment one of your videos. I'd like to thank you because you are a great company while I work and love your speculations and your way to tell all the stories! I now know much more about WoW lore thanks to you!
dude, harbinger videos were the ones for legion - this series is called warbringer! :D also, the scene where she raised the ship kind of had arthas-sindragosa vibes to it..I wonder if that's a subtle hint, or just me over thinking it
Jaina is a Sith Lord confirmed. Using the force to raise a ship from the depths. But on a serious note, I can't but feel like she is in league with Azshara somehow with that ability to raise something so large from the bottom of the sea.
Not really, she is like the most powerfull mage on azeroth if she could Flood orgrimmar by helsef she could easily do this, plus Azhara is trying too stop jaina fdrom ruiniting with ku tiras, lady ashvane, influenced by azhara told lady proudmoore too arrest her daughter, so she would not be able to save them and join with the alliance once agaimn. Its kinda counter productive to seek aide from someone who wants you out of the picture.
Azshara is on another level but Jaina is indeed powerful. To be honest you shouldnt think magic like raw muscle power, she could have casted a simple levitation spell.
Azshara is on another level but Jaina is indeed powerful. To be honest you shouldnt think magic like raw muscle power, she could have casted a simple levitation spell.
true but controlling the focusing iris like that would be hard, the orcs used it has a simple bomb, she using it the enhance her powers . i nits own right its a great feat for her even to manage to be able to control the energies of it yet alone use it precisely enough to dominate multiple unbound water elemental;s
This is not your father, Jaina. This is an Old God and you're going insane. I'm ok with that, we could use an Alliance villain for once. Edit: I keep forgetting about Arthas. But still...
Illidan doesn't count. He is a night elf, but hes never been a member of the Alliance. Arthas I guess kinda counts..He was the prince of Lordaeron, one of the founders of the original Grand Alliance, but he was never part of the current Alliance.
What about Kel'thuzad? Or Medivh? Or sky admiral rogers? Or the entirety of the Scarlet Crusade? Or Aiden Perenolde? Or Garithos? Edwin Vancleef and the Defias? There are more, but I grant that they feel, for me, harder to detect in contrast with the horde ones; which is a bad notion to have I think.
Have to correct myself. The first scene is at Theramore, not at Kul Tiras. My bad, thought she dropped her sword in Kul Tiras!
I'm calling it now. Jaina is Daelin 2.0.
Jaina vs Rexxar new rivalry?
The final boss of BFA, in my opinion, is either going to be Jaina or Yrel.
From the comic it could be Kul Tiras though because she picks up a sword in the comic? Though Theramore makes sense I guess her dad's ship is out there...
Yeah that's what I thought but I checked with Christie Golden and she confirmed it's Theramore. Makes sense with the broken buildings/statue!
Laura Bailey is a goddess...
She is not only a great voice actor, but also a very talented singer.
Well of course, she is an idol after all... (persona 4 reference! )
Wormy and a mom now 😊
u can see her every week on critical role. with illidan voice and mc cree too.

@@Evan-mt7bc what was that sea shanty called?
Another thing to remember, this is sang by the Kul Tiras. So they would paint Admiral Proudmore in a more heroic light.
omg this comment is so Lindsay
He was a hero to his people, just like the genocidal Gromm who received Hero treatment at the end of WoD

So Jaina wants a war now? Good.
My orc’s eager to bury his axe in her skull :)
AdrenaHawk I thought a survivor might have crafted the song, and Jaina heard it.
She spied on her people from across the sea, using magic apparently, when she first heard it.
I can see why she would do this.
She gave up everything the first time for peace and was betrayed, even though members of the horde didn't agree with the destruction of her home they stood by as it happened, she would probably carry a huge grudge against the goblins since they actually took the bomb there.

The Glorious God-Tier Waifu-Chan
well obviosly it isnt, shes about to continue that story on her own terms which I applaud.
Finally someone who thinks like me to! Jaina deserved better than to be betrayed over and over again after all the peace she tried to make.
Adri Adrian - at best I would imagine she would find it incredibly difficult to trust the horde ever again, if she could ever do it again since so far she's tried twice and has been betrayed each time.
After all doesn't the old saying go "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
I loved how they did this.
It is a great recap, but also a way to show how she's dealing with the sacrifice of the past and betrayal.
Figurehead is the word for the "statue" on the front of the ship.
And if you want some useless knowledge... It's called a Galionsfigur in Danish...
And in Scotland it’s called YerDa, and sometimes referred to as Achyaseacunt.
That is some good useless knowledge. Thanks.
Oh well, it's called Galionsfigur in german as well
Its called plankwoman.
If you skip past the actual Jaina video, you miss nobbel dancing. Just saying.
Play wc3
I said before I got Dishonored vibes from the song, but thinking about it I'm also reminded of a song by Nightwish called The Islander.
Thumbs up for The Islander; I got the exact same vibes.
Honestly the lyrics could apply to her as well.
Kindda got a little Misty mountians and the song Pipin sings in lotr vibe aswell
absolutely! made me love kul'tiran culture a lot more all of a sudden!
Yeees! Glad you mentioned it. I thought it was reminding me of something. But couldn't quite place it.
Beware, beware, the Daelin-born comes...
Daelin-kiin, daelin-kiin
Not a single sardine
"Beware beware of me" the Kultirans would sing "Beware beware of her" wouldn't they? So she accepts that she is some kind of a monster to her own people and now goes over to full revenge mode against the Horde ...
Man I like the artstile of this!! I think this last shot of her will be my new Wallpaper (* ~ *)
Try Nothing The beware of me of which she is singing is most likely directed at the Horde. I wouldn't want to be a orc near her
Her last few lines aren't part of the Kul Tiran shanty.
I was thinking the kul tirans would sing beware of she to match the rhyme
Both Jaina and Arthas betrayed their fathers :(
For very different reasons though.
Daniel Séredin Jaina is a soulless mage, controlled by hate and vengeance
Fake news
Xl Coj
Arthas was totally in Nerzhuls control
Doggy Bhaw Bhaw! Still doesn't change the fact though that he betrayed and slew his own father even if he was under Ner'zhul's control.
I love this short ❤️ Can’t wait for Sylvana’s and Azshara’s
I know! I mean this is the first one and wow. Imagin those how will be!!
H Y P E
Hopefully we will see some of N'zoth in azsharas.
Τασος Κ If you carefully watch the trailer Blizz uploaded that has all three of them you’ll see a glimpse of N’zoth’s eyes! You have to pause the video at the right moment tho
Another amazing Sea Shanty to add to my list~
would you share that list? :D
I would recommend The River Driver by Great Big Sea. Their whole album Hard and the Easy is full of shanties but this one I still remember.
You have a sea shanty list ?
Ok i can respect
4:32 I like how they light up the anchor on her shoulder in that moment when she pauses. Like she's fully committed to her fathers beliefs with it literally being put on her shoulders.
This was incredible, I have never been more quite listening to music in my life
Angry Welshman ikr
Welcome to the world, newborn fetus.
if youve never been amazed by music, perhaps you should explore the world of music instead of the one of warcraft
I need more dancing Nobbel in my life.
She is coming for the horde especially for Rexxar
Pffft. She can't handle his awesome new model.
Raven Brown you're goddamn right
Rexxar is coming for her too.
Nah, he's as irrelevant as any dead character
Gizmo Mogwi cumming
in warcraft Admiral Proudmoore looked like a villain but from this it seems like desperate father searching for his daughter
i guess point of view is important
Cool story bro
My grandfather saw atrocities German soldiers made and his family suffered as well - it do not mean I will seek for vengeance and kill Germans. My grandmother suffered from Ukrainians and Russians, yet I do not seek for their blood or blood of their children.
In game NEW Horde didn't looked for war, they killed a lot of centaurs in order to help Taurens, which isn't a problem for Alliance. When Thrall wanted peace, Daelin Proudmoore was ... too proud to accept it ...
Javier Alicea
Tl;Dr
Interesting, the scene where Daelin Proudmoore was actually shown on-screen was pretty similar to Varian's death at the Broken Shore - fel bats, standing alone against an entire army with two swords in hand, etc. I actually didn't notice until I watched a second time.
Richard Lee Ye, only difference being that Daelin was a twat.
Valar Rhaegar What, because of justified prejudice and fear for his last living child?
Justified - Prejudice... leading to murder. Yeah, no.
I just finished watching all Parts 1 , 2 , and 3 of your Jaina Lore videos! Perfect!
Daelan proudmoore is supposed to be the strawman when telling Jaina the horde are savages who should be killed.
But funny after how blizzard wrote the horde first with garosh then with sylvanas. Jaina is taking up his father's ideals and the audience feels that the strawman had a point.
You have a great voice. LOL Yeah this episode is really amazing! I can't wait for more episodes of these! :D
Beware beware the dragon born com- I mean the daughter of the sea
Yeah, the raising the ship from the sea gave me literal chills. Especially in correlation with the ending of the lyrics "Beware, beware... of *Me!* " Was like "AAAAAAAAAAAW SHEEEEEIT." Was so good.
Beware the daughter of the Sea, because she is coming for the Horde.
Benji no shit Sherlock
Bring it baby
speak of the me
beware my ass. the horde is soon starting the hunt in world pvp hahaha
Typically bloodthirsty horde, this is why azeroth can't have peace. Its just the hordes way of life to be bloodthirsty murderers on the rampage, first outlands now azeroth destroying everything you touch.
Beware Jaina. She has found her way and will fight to protect her people. The Horde better pray to their gods for salvation.
Thats why there will be a quest in Kul Tiras where you need to find her because she is haunted by the ghosts of the past...
It was a lovely short, your reaction is most endearing
I get weird Vibes that Jaina is.. sorta Dabbling in Necromancy.. or atleast Spirit channelling.... Still Creepy but good.
Edit: Also the "Old Voice" could be the voice of the Sea... if the Kul Tirans have a traditions of "Sea Witches" (Haven't seen much on the Beta, so don't know) But if they do they might have some who "Listen to the voice of the Sea" which could be the voice of those lost too the waves and/or the voice of the Land.
They do have a sect of priests that commune with the sea. But who or what they speak with is possibly more nefarious than they know.
Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it.
Funnily enough, N'zoth is imprinsoned deep in the sea. Chronicles puts him not far from Kul'Tiras actually.
I really get a little necromancy vibe from this, still hoping she goes full necromancer and brings Arthas back
This song gives me serious goosebumps. Especially with the last lyric of the song. I need to go and listen to your explanation of Jaina's lore as I have not made my way around to it yet.
Also, starting to like your reaction videos (in general I am not a fan of reaction videos). Your little sway dance to the song made me laugh.
Jaina needs Dr Phil for grief counciling
Dr Phil is a piece of shit
She needs to harden up and kill the fucking horde
naw though, they all just need to kill eachother
No, she seriously just need a guy.
gestucv olonor killing the Horde will save Azeroth.
Now she feels remorse for her father... smh.
It's gonna be an interesting patch, boiiiis!
I was waiting on your comments for this one. Massacre !!.. Could that be what the spirt had have said.
The Myscira Maybe, the name of the ship, which would be interesting, because that is the island , Themyscira, and the capital the Amazons lived in mythology. Which would be fitting of the Warbringers that is being shown the Ladies of war.
Lorrie Ruff no mascara
Lorrie Ruff mascadoodle anime girls
Flame, you are so funny Honey.
i think your right lorrie
BOIIIII SHE ‘BOUT TO DO IT!
I honestly never knew jaina was this powerful.
I feel like their are going to be a lot of memes of this song.
I believe she has the raw power greatest since Aegwynn ...
that part was because of the focusing iris (she "stole" it from the theramore bomb), but i did read something about her staff being imbued with some high lvl stuff granting her amazing powers on par with the (old) highborne i think
Also, her staff is powered by the power of the Thunder King since MoP.
After being caught in the end of the blast at Theramore she got a MAJOR power boost. She is currently the most powerful non guardian mage.
This was so perfectly done. The chanti vibe fits perfect with the seafaring people, and I like the new direction they’re leading Jaina into. Now that she’s older it seems (from this) that’s she’s finally realizing the wisdom of her father’s decisions. I’m excited for BFA!
LoL. When I saw this I immediately thought, oh boy. Wonder how Nobbel is going to react to this with his Jaina obsession. xDDD
Loved your improvising! You my favourite youtuber
as someone who played as a Troll who survived the echo isle massacre ad the admiral's hands, and lost his mother in the process, i am spooked.

She's like Blackbeard now, on the Queen Anne's Revenge
jus proves how much blizzard did a good job here, because ive watched this video like 6 times now and never tire of it. And i want a Mp3 of that shanty please blizz x-x Also nice timing with your lore vids about Jaina Nobbel anyone would think you planned it yourself!
I want a full version of the song.
Nobbel you’re amazing! Thanks for all the great content
PROUDMOORE DID NOTHING WRONG
PROUDMOORE SHOT FIRST!
No no no, She is moraly Grey now.
Just remember what the Horde did to him. You're right, she didn't. She hasn't done jack shit for a while now. xD
Unless you're referring to her dad who..didn't really accomplish anything, so kinda hard to get outraged at anything he did..
She didn't do anything wrong. But i hate this saying. It became a meme after garosh.
Why does it seem like so many people dislike Jaina? She’s so dynamic and has had her fair share of hardships, I really feel for her :( I read her book + arthas’ and it just made me feel even more bad for her!! Lol, dangit ;-;;
"Jaina Harbinger video"
iTs WaRbRiNgEr!1!1!
Ive noticed some other people keep calling Harbinger too. Harbinger was the Legion animated shorts with Gul'dan, Illidan, and Khadgar. XD.
I never realised the Legion shorts were called "Harbringer" and these are called "Warbringer". Awesome continuity
Not quite the pattern you are seeing. It's Harbinger, not Harbringer.
the "beware of me" line is obviously addressed to the Horde. I don't understand why so many people are convinced that she'll be a raid boss to both factions now.
It'd be neat to have Jaina encase Sylvanas in ice and have her stored away under the watchful eye of Bolvar Fordragon the Lich King.
MagCynic or both of them start kissing and i storke my Dwarven Hand Cannon. I.....do have weird fetish
MagCynic sylvannas is way to popular to just kill off like that.
Or else just toss the ice cube into the ocean to bob around like a cork for a couple years ^.^ that'd be a creative FU indeed! Imagine the sea shanties from it. "Hey look, its the bitch-cicle'
Sylvanas will never die because Blizzard is too afraid of the fanboys.
That last line with Jaina, that is a line she added, I believe she's referring to Medivh, the old voice warning me, across a moonlit sea, traveling to Kalimdor, it's her discussing her regrets at traveling to Kalimdor and helping the orcs instead of her father, I think.
Did thrall just say: “MY ASS “on 13:23 Hahahaha 😂😂😂😂
He was watching Sloot's stream while recording this lol
I believe the part at the end of, "Beware of ME" was her changing a song meant to warn the people of Kul Tiras about her to a warning to the Horde that she's learned the lesson her father died to teach her and she's coming for them.
FOR THE ALLIANCE!!!!
Please do not let Jaina be the pawn of the old gods. Not after all the tragedies she has suffered, let not her end be one in darkness .
I have watched the episode 15 times and every time she says "of me" at the end i always get cold tingles. Crazy stuff.
Horde: we're different now!
Me: how?
H: we're no longer under demonic influence!
M: Oh so you deposed your leaders like Ogrim and Grom who led you down there
H: no they still lead
M: so you stopped raiding alliance lands and are working to repay the massive blood debt you incurred by slaughtering entire kingdoms of people, right after a campaign of genocide against the peaceful Draenei?
H: No we still raid and stuff... But the alliance put us in camps!
M: so they housed and fed you at great cost to themselves despite them having every right to put you all to the sword for literally raping your way across their world you invaded.
H: yeah... But we left and went to Kalimdore!
M: where you immediately invaded the night elf lands and killed one of their gods
H:yeah!
M: you're evil you know, that right?
H: no that was the old horde, we put "new" in front of our name, see? Completely different!
I'm so excited for the Azshara video! This one is very powerful, considering everything that's happened to Jaina since Warcraft 3!
My Favorite Dreadlord’s Warbringer!
Terry Hunsicker My Favorite Frost Lich's Warbringer
Stop
The "with his last breath" part seems to insinuate he knew his daughter would avenge him. The whole cinematic is ominous, beautiful, and chilling.
I loved this video! Warbringers is awesome
I'm watching this on my laptop and holding it in my hand as i walk around. When he said "mascara" I damn near dropped my laptop from laughing so hard. Well done.
WHERE IS MY NEW BFA LORE, IM THIRSTY FOR MORE NOBBEL!
If you press the CC button on the video by Blizz, the lyrics pop up on the bottom.
Rains of castamere
[Reins of Castamere]?
I got these GOT vibes too mate
Galerne the lannister theme in game of thrones
I know, but shouldn't it be "Rains of Castamere"? :D
couldve sworn it was rein lol
@Nobbel87 what the Spirit says is "Scared" wich matches the "question" on the song
Jonas_Ravenholt jaina the lich queen
I bet she's going to steal the Helm of Domination from Bolvar.
Well, there is a Closed Caption option to the video but all you hear are the standard lyrics but none of the other voices such as the Ghost.
As for the tauren, I dunno if they were at the scene either since I only play the MMO and not the RTS ones.
jaina might just have become my favourite character.
Abridged Vegeta: Ooh...Ominous.....
When she said "I'm listening" the Ferryman looked up, had a face and the neckless on.
ezland100 i thought that and he had a moustache too
I think it definitely is. Specifically when she says 'Father' he looks up. As well as looking like Daelin and it would make sense for him to have a Kul'Tiran necklace.
You can also see that the Ferryman is wearing a navy blue captains outfit, from the sleeve poking through the cloak.
At the end of the comic there is the same sword with the small anchor necklace, I think that is Daelin's grave. Could really be his haunted ghost...
What happend to the body of arthas ?
mario kovac Huh...good question. I guess they left it at the Ice crown citadel?
I'd imagine since he was still a prince he was buried. Yes he was a monster who slaughtered his own people and his father but well... he's going to burn for it so I can only guess they cremated him, stuffed him in an urn and locked it in some tomb of the damned. Of course not the same holy urn his father was in..no Arthas stole that and disrespected his father by using it for Kel'thuzad's remains but anyways. Some people still cared for Arthas... I doubt they'd leave his body to freeze and decay where he could be rezzed in undeath by a new lich or lich king. I'm sure he's got some tomb somewhere that we may not have seen...probably in icecrown and probably locked down with some holy seal to keep his remains buried forever more
Bolvar keeps it as a coat rack.
It was stolen by the scourge and now rests beneath the citadel, enshrined in ice and saronite, wrapped in a scourge flag with a plaque on the tomb that reads "No King rules forever".

Top 10 Unsolved Mysteries.
She forgot her mascara indeed.
I love how Nobbel goes in to full on Dutch sea shanty chair dance like immediately. He was moon walking that chair like Michael Jackson!
IT'S "WARBRINGER" Noble xD not Harbringer
dude, harbinger videos were the ones for legion - this series is called warbringer! :D
also, the scene where she raised the ship kind of had arthas-sindragosa vibes to it..I wonder if that's a subtle hint, or just me over thinking it
Noble!!!! I have returned to you my Love!!! We will go to BfA together!!
6:22 I think he's saying "the storm is coming", but I could be wrong.
She had a powerful magic item to help her do that it wasn't just her raw power. Not saying shes weak.
This is great. The music went so well with this video. Cant wait for the Sylvana’s and Azshara’s :).
Jaina = Pirate Queen Necromancer.
14:31 but how many generations? Jaina is about 40s and she was already adult when she's father died so i think that only 15 years passed.
I'm getting a serious Oh death (Until Dawn version) vibe from the music
Ohhhh that was a great version of the song (Awesome game, too).
Its always fun to see our favorite lore maniac excited about these little shorts
Tyrande. Genn, any and all paladins. They all put their personal morals above right and wrong.
Lol personal morals dictate what someone sees as right and wrong.
Also Daelin Proudmoore
14:49 - I would like to know WHICH characters in WOW that has ever taken responsibility for their actions?
