Reverse the hot and ground on the middle pickup (literally wire it in reverse) to fix that issue, it's out of phase with the other two.. I had this happen on a cheap Chinese guitar and found the fix in some random forum.
I wish there was a way for Sean to take a look at my old Ricky 450. What I like about this channel is the no nonsense, straightforward with a great sense of humor, run down of these guitars with realistic, usable comments about the guitar in question.
Looks like a nice sized finish crack on the bass side of the neck pocket around the 6:18 mark of the video but hell that's prolly the least of her problems lol, love your videos buddy!!!
Hey Cathy’s mom! 👋🏻 Does Cathy’s mom also wind pickups and kabonk troublemakers too?! 😂😂😂 So scotch tape and a ton of stripped screws?! Ouch. But at least the frets were flawlessly level on the D-ASSo! 😂😂😂
I have a Dlaso tele. It plays and sounds great. People can say what they want, but I honestly only had to do a simple setup (which I also would have had to do if I had bought a name brand). I also have a Dlaso bass and all I had to do with that was adjust the truss rod. Maybe I just got lucky with both of them, but I like them.
This is why I still with name brand pickups from trusted makers. Seymour Duncans, DiMarzio. Fishie Fluzzies, even some Fender pickups. I know you pay a lot for them. But you cannot go wrong. Also some of the best switches I have come across very cheap these day and made like tanks KAISH switches if you want to stay with an import style. No wiggling, no noise when switching, and then for pots. Some CTS pots are great, but some feels loose, so I switched to Bournes. Unless its a shallow push pull for CTS for a guitar like Ibanez because some are very shallow in the cavity. But this is what makes a guitar for the most part sound great. It can look like crap and sound $2,000+ as long as it plays well.
I made the mistake of buying a Dlaso(Dee-Lay-so) LP. I had to shim the neck, same problem. Changed the bridge, it rattled and had to put shielding tape in the pickup and pot area. I changed the strings and Finally no hum the thing sounds great now. The pickups sound way better. Eventually, I'll replace the tuners and the pickups
I was very disappointed when I got it. I wanted to return it, but I Loved the shape of it because it really looked like a 57' replica. I planned on moding it anyway. I ordered some parts, got out the tools, and did what Sean taught me. How to Scar a Guitar!
The rest of it was crap, but the gigbag is pretty cool. The GearIt accessorites make me want to try their $98 Tele with a P90 and a split humbucker (semihollow)
Dlaso, Temu. You got all that air under the neck and it still rings unplugged. Great job Sean! I'm really surprised all you needed for the neck was a truss rod adjustment and a polish. Did you lower the saddles too? It sounded great at the end. I'd sand that neck too, lol.
Thnx Shawn and Thanx Cathy for the vids. And a huge hello to Cathy's mom. Shawn was wondering what is the price point of your single cutaway guitars going to be as well as the double cutaway version?
seems like with these off shore brands you get what you pay for. That is the problem with a lot of the "budget" line of guitars and parts there is no consistency or quality control those things cost $$$. Keep up the good work Sean 👍
Hey I’m wondering on every video you do on these Chinese guitars when you take the neck off you always see about the hole. What’s the significance of this hole and why you check for this? Could you explain this please?
Maybe it was just a Monday guitar. I forget, there used to be a myth about Detroit cars that it depended on the day of the week what day your cars were built whether they were a lemon or not.
They sell them to beginners because they are cheap some cheap stuff is better than others I bet if they knew you was going to look at it they would not have sent that one thanks brother for telling it like it is
New food places do the same thing. A loss leader beginning with an adjustment for actual profit once people know about them. China also has a range of engineering services prices. If you want better QC you pay for it. Right now China is being used for aggressive pricing (loose QC) because they can do that at volume. New companies wanting in the market are using the same loss leader beginning strategy and when in that phase, no other country meets the cost of human touch criteria at scale better. Maybe the story is which new companies transition well. I’m sure China can do higher end, but selling that here is not as sure a thing and they’re quite busy serving the start-up market. Can’t wait to see a $600 Chinese guitar that challenges a $1,000 - $1,200 Indonesian model.
Hey Trey is bangin over on his new channel! Check him out

Thanks for the shout out! 🙏 what’s up with that tape job on the box? Lol
Love the honesty. You are definitely one of the very best out there my friend. We appreciate you.

I appreciate you giving an honest review. Others might have been embarrassed to admit they were wrong about a product.

That’s why I just bought a set of Cathy’s Tele pickups this week. Alnico V’s. They’re almost here and can’t wait to try em out. Thanks, CW Noble, OK.
Always fun watching you work on these various guitars
Thanks, for another "eye-opener" review, Sean! Hope to hang out with you and the gang next Saturday! Rock on! 👍
Can't wait!
You’re freaking awesome . Thanks amigo!!! And had me laughing about the worst box you’ve ever seen

After all those upgrades and labor the owner should have just bought a Squire classic vibe strat and played the shit out of it!🎸
If you ever feel like you're wasting your life...just remember somewhere there's a person making Strat trem-spring covers.

I put Elmers glue in the hole put screws back in.
Man, you can stick a tracker trailer through that action. 😂😂❤Do the old tooth pick break off in those stripped out holes ,it will be good as new.❤
You didn't get hit in the head for saying "just hurry up." I'm surprised
Would have been great if her mom had beaned him.
Do you ever fill in the hole in the neck slot? I know it doesn't matter if it's there or not. It looks like a good spot to glue in a dowel rod.
Sean, great video. I really enjoy watching you.
Seems like a Temu brand 😊 Fleur pickups usually sound killer for the price.Tried em on yr & Darrell's( Braun) recommendations.👍 Keep up d good work

I have a set of Fleor alnico 5 humbuckers in one of my strats and they sound awesome. Too bad these ones didn't work out.
I have used a lot of Fleor pickups on budget guitars. I will have to watch what I use now.
Hope you guys make and sell some good budget pickups... thatll be cool...we all need some..but not all of us rich lol ..good video .
Getting a alnico pickguard for it latter on.
Sean , you always seem to make guitars sound better . Keep on Rockin !
That cream pickguard looks really good.
Would scuffing the back of the neck help at all? wax the pickup?
Thnx Shawn and Thanx Cathy for the vids. And a huge hello to Cathy's mom. Shawn was wondering what is the price point of your single cutaway guitars going to be as well as the double cutaway version?
Thanks for the tips Sean!
How did the wood make
Hey Sean, what is that amp modeling software running on your PC in the background?
That's a Line 6 UX2 with Pod farm
@@scarmyguitar - Thank you Brother!

Hi Cathy's mom!
I always put a Wilkinson brass block on my strats you can get em on amerzon for 30 bucks they are great the block is like an American strat
surprised they didn’t strip them. neck joint screws too
Got one neck needed thinned after that it was fine

Hey, Sean. That was kind of cool getting to see Kathy's mom. Think she might reappear at some point?
Hello everyone 🤗 have a wonderful week 👍✌️😎
Didn't like the glossy fret board get sticky when hummid out
Don't let them D'laso you right in! :)
Did that box fall out the back of the truck 😂 at least the guitar looked way better than the box
That’s gotta be tone tape!
I want cheap strat with a hss and full weight for the body
I only changed the bride one.
I got one and I like it.
Almost looks like my guitar!!! 🤘😎🤘
Pretty color
Had to fret work mine
Once ajusted and fret work its ok
Should of put some Cathy wound pickups in it. Would of been way better.
Why did they paint neck pocket sustain killer
Hardly think that will be the most prominent issue with that guitar...
Pickups are pretty good
I seen that TEMU has Dlaso guitars?
Correct run or ride house 😊
The pickups are pretty hot
I agree, them pickups sound like am radio. He curious what the readings on them are. They sound real thin
And some fret work
Needed shime to.
Nice 👍🏼🎸🎹🥁🎺🪘🎻🪕🎷🪗🪈🪇🎙️🎤🎧.not nice 😂 thankyou for sharing 👍🏼🎸
Oh i get it buddy ive ran across a lot of bad boxes in my life so far. 🤢🥶🤣🤣🤣. Lot of crap out there these days for sure 💯. Take care 😊✌️✌️🎸🎸
Hi Cathy's mom.
He could have been in a firefly or Harley benton for what he has in that disaster. A used Squier affinity can be had for 125 these days.
Yeah had to fix that.
Got one neck needed thinned
Great job on that temu guitar
Love your videos inspired me to build a parts caster
I always tape that
Will sound good

Library does that tape crap makes me so mad yeah its super hard to remove.
I scraped the fret board
Love Grover Time!
Thought that to
Head stocks nice though
Sean you just added all that weight with those toothpicks. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thats a plus
Was that Cathy's mom or her sister? 😉
It's a TEMU Guitar. They discontinued all their guitars. It comes with a crappy cheap bag. That's probably why he put it in the Gear it bag
Bought s few guitars that were crooked out of the box
Don't know why they'd put white on a green guitar
Hey Cathys mom
Only green i like
Diaso the fiasco!!!! That’s one sure diabolical geeetar 🎸🎸🎸😂😂😂
Sean, I think that guitar's brand name is "DLASO." I've seen it on Temu. PLEASE don't ask me how to pronounce it!
This guitar would be good for a cover of Nowhere Man. That "sets your teeth on edge" sound.
Sometimes comes like that from ups.
Sounds like the polarity is reversed on the p/u’s
I meant to spell fingernails on a chalkboard.

Dude, just look up shijie guitars. It's probably one of the best in China with 2 others I can't remember. Those go for 1200$ and up.
@@ivanriverajr5012 Yes, they can do it. And Wangs Amps too.
That's why I play it a lot not plugged in
Dlaso is a temu guitar, but I’m sure you knew that already.
That was the bridge pickup????
Hi Cathy’s Mom!
You could do mine like that
