I bought the fojill blue one from you on eBay I decided to put a $30 set of Guyker locking tuners on it. Really good guitar for the money thanks again.
I’ve been assembling guitar kits and just have a real hard time with the paint and finish. I’m going to start buying these cheap guitars and fixing them up like you. A lot less aggravating….😃
Fantastic rebuild for $115.00 . Sounds great . Love the show . Keep 'em coming 🎸🎸🎸 I'd like to see ya' do a rebuild upgrade on those new $149.00 Epiphone limited edition SG Pham blue guitars
Good one Sean, that truss rod access cover was pretty cool, saves some time. The guitar turned out just fine, although an electronics upgrade would be nice. Cathy did a good job with the head stock. Thanks y'all.
I plan on buying one of your reapers. I have been a fan of the channel and it’s inspired me to build a few of my own. I’m a fan and so is my father. Keep it up. 👍👍
I dig it, $120 sounds like a good mod project platform, swapping the neck out was a good choice, that's what I would have done for sure, Ibanez does the truss rod like that on all their guitars now, I'm not sure when Ibanez first started doing it but it is fairly new, mine is a 2022 and it has that cover.
I immediately had to snap and show bro brother those punisher inlays, he's a major fan. I love your channel and you helped me out so much working on my guitars. As a player of 20+ years, you're a gem to the guitar community. Keep it up brother!
That sounds so much like mine! I love it!!!!! So slick and smooth and like it is from another universe! I like that dark sound! Thank you for sharing your experience!
I like the glow in the dark inlays! That neck is great! Those buckers sound pretty good, hmmm ? I like your twin buckers with the push pull single coil sound!
Bullfighter guitars have always passed the test of some improvements and were pretty good bones to build on. I looked back on some of your other videos on Bullfighter guitars and they seem pretty good. Thanks. You really build the best guitars and Cathy makes the best pickups. You are the best, looking forward to the livestream tonight!
I got a Bullfighter acoustic a little before Christmas for $120 from Amazon. It is basically the same shape as a Takamine jumbo. The whole body is made out of some Zebra wood variant with a dark brown stain. Beautiful grain and actually has a very warm, but crisp sound. The neck is Nato or some such with a rosewood fretboard. It also has abalone binding and rosette as well as fretboard inlays and headstock logo. It came perfectly playable right out of the box with decent strings and tuners. Have not even had to adjust anything yet. It came with a decent gig bag and a completely useless headstock tuner, along with some very decent celluloid mother of toilet seat picks. Overall, I am very pleased even though my Jasmine jumbo gets more playing time. $89 Amazon deal that I just love. Nato neck back and sides with spruce top, all with an amazing satin finish.
The truss rod cover is common on Ibanez guitars, I have a GIO and it's just like that. Nice videos! I'm trying to fix my own guitars and I want to get a double cut SG type but I don't want to pay the price point of a Gibson or Epiphone, so your videos are very educational on the matter, thank you! Take care.
I need that nifty sawsall fret blade. Just doing the unlevel frets individually at the moment. But I'm slowly getting tooled up. Pretty much learned 90%of my luthier skills through you Sean. From all your lip flappin😂. Keep on keeping on Sean! Might have to score me one of them scarred ax's here one of these days. Be nice to get a sweet ax without having to fix all the normal chibson problems . So if my math is correct your cutting that nut to .075? Pretty cool method!
Great video. I got the purple version last week. You are spot on all the flaws with the guitar. My frets are sharp as all get out and tuners suck. So in he process of beveling those edges and a tuner swap. Those reapers are awesome . Keep up the excellnt work.
Well... I didn't polish my frets but, I did put a three stage eraser on them, didn't seem to help until I put strings on it!...... "Dunlop" you say...Thank you
Im interested in a blue scar my guitar 22 fret with a floating floyd rose withe a lock nut if you can do a blue flame with highwound output pickups oh yeah.
@@asusreviews yes. The rolite polish and a $20 rotary tool from amazon. I got the same thing from his links on a video and they are money. Ive done half a dozen fret jobs with them so far and im totally happy with it.
Cool video.Very interesting modification, how do you determine if the neck is compatible with the body before you buy it. Very interesting technique for cutting the bone nut.
Sean (not sure if you spell it that way) I just wanted to remind you since you're such a big D'addario fan that you might plug their program of points which can be used towards future purchases or to support their music scholarship program
I have grown to like this style better, the more I see and hear it. I wouldn’t mind a Tele body with the comfort cut this one has. But the bridge could be hardtail and string through and that layout with Cathy’s pickups HSH, and the Tele style front rout for full size pots and push pull knobs or a 5 way switch to mix the pickups. And the good cloth wiring and full size pots. The replacement neck is money! I don’t like shark tooth inlays either. But that would be perfect to me. I like the Strat offset and belly cuts, but I hit my hand on the knobs , and my Tele ashtray, I hit the top and bottom. I’d love to clean up the bridge and the string through on mine has a stability of its own. The push pulls or a 5,way switch would just be great. And if course the 7.25 U neck isn’t for everyone, but my left hand loves it! Bend it like a bandit! lol.
Those reapers are beautiful man great job on them maybe one day I’ll be able to afford one it would be nice to get something that plays right out of the box lol
I just don’t care for the knob placement. I like the string through the body and Tele style placement with the coil splits in push pulls like that Blue Sparkle the other day. That is a beast that I really begged to order for Father’s Day. I love the shape, controls and Cathy’s pickups I have 2 white ones I’d even mail back to have Sean put them in right for the push pulls.
Obviously I haven't played that neck and Sean is much more expert at analysis of guitars than me. But, I wonder if the neck shape would disqualify the guitar as an intro level instrument? I, for one, prefer the "C" shape to the shredder neck. Could be the company is offering a hybrid of sorts. Unless the neck was contributing to the lack of tuning stability, it may have worked as a first or backup guitar.
It’s too bad this Bullfighter wasn’t as good as the first two. I usually see great reviews on other channels that buy their own stuff too. However, there’s always gonna be a dud in the bunch . . . or occasional boneheads at the factory who aren’t doing their job because summertime is here and they’re dreaming about the beach, lol. Or like in the case of Fesley, some models may be killer while one certain other model was an embarrassment to society for months on end until they finally (supposedly) addressed it, lol. 😂😂😂 Anyway, the new neck is fun - and with LumenLays?! It’s nice Bullfighter used Alnico magnets in the pickups. You gave this guitar some new life. It seems like Bullfighter watches many of the videos posted on their guitars, so maybe they’ll be listening to your experience and check into what may have happened that made this guitar not as good as most of their other ones.

That new design f hole is going to my favorite. Absolutely gorgeous! 😎🤓
Both my Ibanez RGs have those type of truss rod covers.

I don't know why more Co's put easy access doors for truss rod cover. I had an Ibanez 7 that had one, thought it was coolest thig ever.
it would be cool to have a guitar with a horned headstock, like a warped dean headstock with curled horns instead call it the Ram.
There is a guitar called the Bison it's made by Burns out of the UK and it has horns on the headstock
Oh ok i do like the skull inlays..!! Sweet . Pex

Ibanez has that same truss rod cover on a lot of their guitars. Strangely, its usually on the midrange guitars and not the super expensive ones.
