Dear Tanner, I love the two sighs! Today I went on a bike ride, during which I do somatic tracking. When I noticed discomfort increase, I did the two sighs, and it was relaxing and made me feel safe enough on the bike to still really enjoy my ride, even with mild and low moderate discomfort. Thanks a million. 🚲🚲🚲🥰🥰🥰
This is a great video Tanner. I’m going write out my who/where/when/how list tonight and make sure to sprinkle them into my day - so simple and so powerful thank you 🙏
Thanks Tanner. I'm currently suffering from hyperacusis (and a bit of tinnitus) that came after a few months of extreme anxiety and hyper-aroused state and depression (still in this). This advise is useful, as an adjunct to the psychotherapy (EMDR) and sound therapy. Its completely MBS I know. Ironically, I had chronic pain and CFS for a long period, and then these seem to have mostly abated and now "replaced" by the hyper-sensitivity to sound. I do know that Ill need to experiment and see. I do notice that my cats help me feel safe and connected, even a little. My dog sometimes..but because his happy bark is so painful/startling to me at times, I'm kinda also afraid of him unfortunately :) Anyway, its complicated but the bottom line of knowing this is MBS and that there are ways to down-regulate is reassuring. Cheers.

I'm sorry to hear about your pain. Unfortunately I can not directly make recommendations on social media, as I do not know your case fully. I have many videos on a mind-body approach on my channel you can check out.
@@painpsychotherapy please keep making them. I struggle sometimes to create consistent safety in my nervous system so these kind of videos are excellent and the somatic exercises are great 👍
You’re privledged for having good parents? Nahhhhhh, that’s just the way it’s suppose to be. With that said, thank you for the great video. Appreciate the time that you always take to share all of your knowledge. 👍🏻
started to worry that l had pain condition just because l had diformation in my finger , even though l never had any pain problem until l started to be anxious about it
My apologies. Usually I try to give a little description. Ventral vagal is when we feel safe, connected, socially engaged, calm, or at ease. I have a full Polyvagal video where I explain the states if you want to check it out!
I just love your description of your household and cuddling with your son/cats! Beautiful.
I'm so glad! Keep going!
My cats are my safe people, and they make me laugh every day

I'm so glad it was useful! Keep going!

Sorry to hear about your pain. Fear and anxiety often can trigger pain.
Most people don’t know what you mean by ventral vagal state??

Fixing activities all day? Wouldn't that be too much
Yes this could occur and can be different person to person. I find incorporating activities that are enjoyable is key!
