    Dear Tanner, I love the two sighs! Today I went on a bike ride, during which I do somatic tracking. When I noticed discomfort increase, I did the two sighs, and it was relaxing and made me feel safe enough on the bike to still really enjoy my ride, even with mild and low moderate discomfort. Thanks a million. 🚲🚲🚲🥰🥰🥰

    Thanks Tanner. I'm currently suffering from hyperacusis (and a bit of tinnitus) that came after a few months of extreme anxiety and hyper-aroused state and depression (still in this). This advise is useful, as an adjunct to the psychotherapy (EMDR) and sound therapy. Its completely MBS I know. Ironically, I had chronic pain and CFS for a long period, and then these seem to have mostly abated and now "replaced" by the hyper-sensitivity to sound. I do know that Ill need to experiment and see. I do notice that my cats help me feel safe and connected, even a little. My dog sometimes..but because his happy bark is so painful/startling to me at times, I'm kinda also afraid of him unfortunately :) Anyway, its complicated but the bottom line of knowing this is MBS and that there are ways to down-regulate is reassuring. Cheers.

    Most people don’t know what you mean by ventral vagal state??

    • @painpsychotherapy
      @painpsychotherapy  Рік тому +1

      My apologies. Usually I try to give a little description. Ventral vagal is when we feel safe, connected, socially engaged, calm, or at ease. I have a full Polyvagal video where I explain the states if you want to check it out!
