Trump won't let this happen.
Overall this car looks good, but the screens are ridiculous. More screens taking your eyes off the road is the last thing you need while driving.
Whether it’s necessary aside, the huge screens are a trend in China and every competitor has it so Lincoln can’t afford to miss out.

It kinda looks like a 2022 Honda Accord
What a shame that they pulled sedans from the US market. This is a great looking car.
Lincoln’s cars were too small, too expensive, and were being outsold by crossovers.
This is just a Ford Fusion, but like $14K more expensive than a Fusion....

America's flagship luxury sedan available only in China, gotta love it. Not going to stop me from going through the process of getting one shipped and to me in the U.S. and registered. I've worked in customs and it honestly doesn't cost that much compared to what you're paying for the vehicle itself.
Good luck, even if you work in Customs. Unlike Europe where you can import cars and just make minor changes and pay import taxes, in the U.S. you have to do crash tests and homologate the vehicle. You can probably buy a new Rolls Royce for less than the process would cost you.
Lmao!😂 You gonna learn that you ain’t living in the land of the free.
A lot of Americans im hearing going to do that, whoever got that money. They going to get that car shipped over here. You will see that car on the road here eventually.
flagship should be Cadillac CT6 for over 60k dollars
Not sure if you have some special clearance to get around the 25 year law? Car has to be 25 years old or more.
That's the nicest interior Lincoln ever made.
If only you could add the CONTINENTAL'S multi-way massage multicontour seats and then make the Continental the size of THE MERCEDES S-CLASS.
The problem with Lincoln's cars is THEY WERE TOO DAMN SMALL.
The MKC, Corsair and MKX easily killed off the MKZ and MKS/ Continental in sales.
Have you seen 80’s and 90’s red interior from Ford and Lincoln/Mercury? Look closely similar.🤮 (Except screen dashboard) .
I do Agee with everything else said! 🍻

It looks nice, but with all of the issues I've had with the radio/nav/backup camera on my 2016 MKZ hybrid my next daily is going to be a Lexus ES350h.
@@WilC379 I must be really lucky because I have 126,000 MI on my MKZ and I've never had a single issue no I take that back I did have an issue with the trunk not opening in the cold weather but other than that nothing
@@CD3WD-Project Ours had to have the radio module replaced at 13k miles, the heated/AC seat module replaced at 22k, then replaced again a month later, then replaced with a new wiring harness a month after that, then the clock spring replaced at 30k, then replaced again 3 months later, then the nav unit at 46k. That was all under warranty. Out of warranty I had to replace the front ball joints/lca at 65k, the nav stopped working again at 75k, new shocks all around at 85k, and now we're at 93k and the backup camera and parking sensors work intermittently. Our previous car was a 2013 Infiniti M56 and we put 95k on it with nothing more than oil changes, tires once, and brakes once. We only traded it for this Lincoln because my wifes commute is so long and it didn't make sense to pay $400 more per month in gas for her to sit in traffic with a 420hp V8. The hybrid system has been perfect though, and we love the giant sunroof.
@@WilC379 holy smokes, I wonder if they went to crap in 2016 or something or what changed. I can't remember if the redesign and sync 3 was 2015 or 2016. I do know I always stay away from all cars the first 1 or 2 years after they come out or get a redesign as a rule of thumb. That sucks man sorry to hear you have had to deal with so many issues.
To be fair the MKZ was getting a little bit old with it being introduced in 2013. This version would have probably sparked more sales because it’s all new.

2013 Chevy Sonic Sedan is dang near like a crossover. So much interior room. It hauls a family of 4 with ease and has plenty of trunk space. Chevy knew what they were doing in the interior ergonomics department.
I definitely saw Audi A7 immediately - but the A7 is probably my favorite sedan design ever. So, I really like this Lincoln and I can't help but think that Ford is run by idiots for only selling trucks/SUVs/vans/Mustangs in the US.
the headlights also remind me of the VW Arteon.
It's funny that Ford has also copied VW Group by trying to sell their premium brand without features that can be had on their cheaper brand.

The rear of this car screams Audi
Whoever is over ford/Lincoln has to be the dumbest ever
And here in America all they're giving us is these outdated big fatass SUVs that only one person is buying for themselves, wanna move to China because of the car market honestly.
I enjoy watching your videos, especially when they showcase vehicles from companies that sell cars in North America. I thought this vehicle looked like a last gun Hyundai Elantra from the side. Cheers.
The sleek design is ruined by the fake air vents on the sides below the side-view mirrors.....they absolutely DESTROY the lines. The Mondeo looks far better.
Let’s sell rebadged, underpowered, ugly looking, low MPG, poor handling sedans in America then let’s pull them off the market because they’re not selling! 🤦♂️ Most American families have at least 2 cars in their garage, the daily commuter and the family vehicle. I don’t know why American car companies think we don’t want sedans anymore.
It just bites that an American car is only sold in China!! What about Americans -- I own a MKZ and love it but would definitely upgrade to the Zephyr without a doubt!! Why they do their own country like that??

Bring it to the states! Would love to buy one slightly used for a steep discount! The rear reminds me of the US Toyota Avalon. The front looks cool but isn't as classy as the current MKZ. The MKZ still looks good today. Wish Ford would bring sedans back to the states.
Yup, still riding my 2020 black on black MKZ. Only have 15K miles on it and doing my best to keep it in like new condition.

@@chrisjenkins203 Same! I’m still in my 2018 MKZ. Crashed my 2017 and loved it so much that I bought a better one. 20 speaker Revel Ultima sound system (not the standard 14 speaker one) the vista panoramic roof, 19 inch 20 spoke Titanium wheels, and beautiful ruby red tinted clearcoat finish. Such a great car and has every bell and whistle you could think of along with the highest available V6 TT powertrain and AWD. I have 60 K on mine and I try not to drive it as much as I can because I love it and it’s such a great car.
What a SHAME!!! The Lincoln Zephyr would actually have me looking at going back to Lincoln (Ford) if it was in the U.S.
It’s a wonderful car, I come from China, I just bought one, very beautiful!
Growing up as a kid/teen in 80s&90s my parents always did Ford Lincoln/Mercury products. There was a time that Lincoln seemed to be the quite kid at the Luxury table. Getting strange looks from Audi,BMW,Mercedes, Infiniti, Acura, Lexus,Volvo etc. I do like the look of this, although the back end of the car is giving me KIA styling vibes. I know here in the states everyone is turning to SUV's. Although I drive a 2018 Camry, alot of my friends and coworkers have asked me , if I would consider an SUV. Its almost like a cult following. Coupes are obsolete now, my mother had a '89 Mercury Cougar and my Aunt a '90 Chevy Beretta. Station wagons are insult and don't get me started on Mini Vans. The years of the 80s&90s A-Team Vans are Dinosaurs, here in the States. SUV are the way to go i guess 🤦♂️😄
Chinese also looove large SUVs. SUV sales increase way faster than sedan.
We didn’t appreciate the MKZ here in the US. Well I did and I have a friend with an MKZ but it seems not enough people bought in to sustain production. I wish Ford and GM didn’t give up so quickly though. I don’t want an suv.
We didn't appreciate the MKZ here because we didn't get anything near what THIS car is.
@@HEMIPoweredMusic True but for it’s time the last MKZ was a great looking car. A major step from the previous Mazda 6 based gen(which my sister calls the blandest Lincoln.lol). The last MKZ we got still looks good to me
@@HEMIPoweredMusic But I agree. This car should be on market here so people can decide
I am a sedan / Coupe guy ; and it's absolutely insulting that forward and Lincoln in North America are not still building not only the Continental but also the Ford Fusion and the MKZ/zephyr model here. . Ford like It's Detroit rivals should NEVER have Abandoned the sedan market . A Americanized version of the current Ford Mondeo and This Lincoln Zephyr are models that could have still sold well in the states ; there is still a market (Now admittedly smaller) market of buyers who would like and prefer a affordable luxury "Sporty" sedan to drive .. Instead. Of an unexciting uninspiring SUV or Crossover !!!. Yes crossovers and SUVs seem to be the rage nowadays but there are still a lot of people like me who still want an actual car to drive and enjoy. Detroit is clueless.
I want it here in the US. And I want Mercury back too.
I do not think they will sold this car in US
Question, based on theory that sedans haven't been selling well in the US, how come Honda, Mazda, KIA & Hyundai seem to be going full speed ahead with these? I always see plenty of their sedans.I
Cadillac is hanging in their with their small & mid-sized CT4 & CT5 sedans, though their Achilles heal remains at the Cadillac Plant, not producing or delivering cars to meet demands. 6 months or longer wait on a new car build is borderline unacceptable. If this is the example, we're our own worst enemy!
Exactly!
Unfortunately Mazda axed the 6. I’ve got a 2018 6, recently had it in the service and was given a 2022 CX-5 signature as a loaner. As I’ve said before a compact SUV is easier to load kids and cargo into, but I wasn’t impressed by the choppy ride the short wheelbase delivered.
At the end of the day I was happy to get back into my far comfier and markedly more fuel efficient mid size sedan. Even though I’m back to stooping when I strap in my daughter.
Maybe the next one will have to be a Camry.
This is the infotainment design I've been waiting on. At last, the passenger can stop staring at the boring dashboard and at least have some of the wide screen lights and info to look at directly in front of them. I've been wondering who would come up with it first and why it hadn't been done yet. Always thought Lexus would achieve this first but I guess not. Ford/Lincoln it is and not even sold here. Smh
I was a Ford Loyalist but Ford & Lincoln disappointed me so bad that I traded in my 2018 Ford Fusion Platinum and went to Honda. I do not want a crossover! Ford/Lincoln really let the US down
I wouldn't say no cars in the segment have a similar instrument stack/screen. The new 3 series and c class both have equitable screens/tech
It’s not being sold in the US because it’s built by Chinese automaker Changan in cooperation with Ford for the Chinese market.
The Continental would have been successful if it actually was up to the standard of a S class or G90 …. It should have been a BEV with range extender, only LWB with power coach doors
No, it would be more costly to build, and sell even less in China or US because the brand recognition is just not there any more! Even Lexus LS is falling behind to its german rivals in terms of sales number and popularity from what I see here in China.
The conti would have sold if it were on the explorer platform. Rwd with a v8 option.
Lincoln was known as an all American luxury vehicle brand.. I’m deeply disappointed.. AND it’s fkn PLASTIC?? SMH..
I’m thankful for my Lincoln panther platforms which I cherish deeply.. we have 3 Town Cars & a double stretch town car limo.. my first car was a lincoln continental.. metal tanks! Not plastic JUNK! 😢 why Ford? Why Lincoln?? Traitors!! SMH
I would love this in the states though the rear design is very Audi but still beautiful 😍
The wish version of the OG Fords & Lincoln’s 😂😂😂😂
What is the crash rating? It’s plastic.. I’m not giving my business to China.. this is depressing AF.
If the US market ever got a Lincoln like this, it would sell. Lincoln gave us boring looking cars, which is why buyers went to the competition.
I don't want a Lincoln SUV/CUV. I want a proper Lincoln touring sedan/coupe. Damn you China/Ford
Great review, I wish this was sold in America.
Only Trump can bring it back to US market.

Ironic the "patriotic" Americans ran the Lincoln sedans out of the country, and the "enemy" Chinese made them a new home with open arms.
This car should be sold here. I would have called it the Lincoln Futura (after the concept car that was made into the 1960s Batmobile). The Zephyr name fits more with Mercury than Lincoln.
Looks nice, but I’m not missing anything.. that grille really lets down the whole exterior design, and that big screen with that steering wheel would have me worried that I wouldn’t be able to see over the dashboard, plus has me worried my arms would be too close to the steering wheel.. aside from all that, it looks very nice, plus side, lots of room in the second row.
ford AND gm suck for thinking EVERY american ONLY buy SUV's, no you dont need 3 or 4 different sedans anymore but to offer NONE is saying we dont want your money if you want a sedan but notice how honda toyota or any of there luxury divisions didnt kill there sedans
I sit back and think about all the good American sedans coupes wagons and minivans we used to have and now useless SUVs and ugly pick up trucks so people like me who don't like those what are we supposed to drive since most all soon car company cut the better part of the company my opinion I'm American but we have no taste when it comes to automobiles SUVS and PICK UPS Please give me a break not sexy not practical.
how bout i go to china get one then bring it back here
Been thinking the same thing.
They could’ve at least made a select few for the US. Kinda like they did with the coach door editions. This, and the Mondeo I think would’ve sold well in the states
Sooo basically give Americans shit cars then get mad when we don’t buy them then build something that’s actually good Looking but sell it In another country
I am thinking of police brutality when I see this car. I don't know why.
It's disgusting that Lincoln sells sedans only in China.
The hell with Lincoln.
I'm buying a Cadillac CT 5
Buy a sedan and lincoln will start provide to ya all crying in comment section, no body fuckin buys sedans any more check your own garage.
I really don't like the big touch screen. It looks unsophisticated and goofy compared to the rest of the vehicle. Like it is there only because it has to have one.
Reminds me of the Toyota crown
That's not a Lincoln supposed to look like. It's ashame. It's an another Chinese made crap.

I Do not like the grill and the rear end looks weird stance is off a lil hate the computer dash and shifter its a miss for Lincoln

why does it look like a dodge dart? who is designing these crap things? thats not a Lincoln by any means

To me the whole concept of this car doesnt make sense... but only in China... who really wants a usd$50k fwd limo that weighs 4,400lb and has a turbo 2.0 with a 8 spd slushbox... I mean... its... like those mid 2000s turbo fwd Audi A6 sedans... or the FWD V8 Cadillacs... its not exactly sporting... if its a service car like a hotel limousine service... ok... but yeah... maybe the Chinese think its just a car to be driven around by a chauffeur...
Don't understand the complaint... Pretty normal specs for a sedan.
All good. Except a decorating strip of black thing on front doors.
An american luxurycar...not avalible in america....blasphemy

Ford Zephyr we did get in limited numbers .
Chinese customers dont really care about whats under the hood or anything relate to the mechanical performance of the car. They only care about how comfort it is and how pretty the interior is. This car might look beautiful but the driving experience can be bad

Suggestion for a video in case a car like that even exists in China: Any car model that has a solar roof. In Germany we have two models which can be solar charged that will start production in 2023: XBus and Sono Sion. I tried to find something similar on the Chinese market, but couldn't. But i also can't read or write mandarin, so i might just have missed it. If there is anything like that from China, it would be nice to see. It would appear strange to me, if there isn't something like that in China yet, as China is one of the most advanced countries when it's about EVs or solar tech.

I think it would be better as an EV.
It might be better than an EQE or BMW i4 with that interior.
I think sedans are cool. But living with such a impractical car make its not worth a buy.
Saying that I'm in the market for a tC lol
I am confused by the comparison of the rear to the A7. That's like saying a F-150 copied a Silverado.
You know how many cars have the same basic rears nowadays. Sedans keep going more towards sloping rears. Unlike old sedans with practically a table for a trunk.
I love Lincoln’s but who ever decided to ax sedans from the US market is so dumb. They could’ve brought back the beloved full size town car (as a flagship) and kept the zephyr here smh

I drive a Lincoln MKZ in the US. An excellent car that gets great mileage with the 2.0L Ecoboost. As it gets older and more miles on it, I'm wondering what I might buy to replace it someday.
I've seen the new Fusion model sold by Ford in Asia markets. Love it. Want one.
But this Lincoln Zephyr, with all the cheap looking black trim ..... I would not buy. I won't pay a premium price for a vehicle that looks like a base model, with trim painted over in black by a high school shop class. I don't care how much gee-wiz tech garbage they cram in it, I don't want to be seen in such a dull looking vehicle. Plus, tail end looks too much like a Chrysler 200 to me, not like a Lincoln.

Literally looks like a Ford Focus sedan frame. Could see why. The old towncars still looked more stately and respectable.
I didn’t see any mention of the drivetrain so I’m assuming it’s just another v6 FWD ugly and too small to be a Lincoln.I wouldn’t be interested in buying another Lincoln unless they brought back a reasonable facsimile of my 2011 town car which is an ex airport taxi and has 455000 miles on it ,uses virtually no oil.I do like that the (disposable)zephyr has a column mounted shifter.
with the Chinese Ford Fusion/Mondeo being sold here in the Gulf i think it's fair to assume they will be selling them in Saudi Arabia and the UAE
Americans should ask why is this beautiful American car not being sold here. I love Japanese cars but this is really weird speaking about Lincoln’s in China same with Buick.
loved my MKZ sucked that they quit providing it here in the states, had the hybrid which was really good. although I wanted the last gen with the 3.0 awd ecoboost.
Sedans do sell. Ask Toyota and Honda. And this one would sell too. Bring it here, price it like Genesis and you will sell 10,000 a year..
Lincoln’s problem is they can’t differentiate from Ford but, bringing the zephyr to the US would’ve solved that problem.
Same with Buick, I think they have a couple passenger cars for there but not here. I think I would rather have a Cadillac CT 4
i don't understand why we get shit here in the US market. Comon ford, make these available in the US as well!
Thanks for the review for U.S. viewers, and count me among those who are perplexed why the American automakers so quickly abandoned this segment. I mean if Hyundai can still sell sedans in the U.S., then why in the world can’t Ford?!
Anyway, the Zephyr seems like a very interesting product that would be compelling in the USDM. As a sedan consumer myself, shame on Ford for their shortsighted thinking.
It would seem that Ford can't meet emissions requirements, and make a profit. they would have to spend money on research and development; which is a gamble they chose not to take. Not sure if Hyundai is even making gas only sedans, or if they are just that cheap.
@@burningfarts Hyundai sells the same sedans across the globe, so not a huge deal to offer them in the USDM.
Maybe I'm nitpicking, but at 1:53 and 2:02 I see misaligned panel gaps and accent parts that don't look great on the likes of a Lincoln.
The back is flat out stolen from Audi. Yeesh. But great review, buddy. Great review.
