I just started and was placed in a high security building with a sophisticated computer security system. Was given 1 day of training, which only scratched the surface of what I needed. When I requested additional training from my supervisor, he said that Allied won't pay OT for him to train me. So I'm like, "Okay. Sorry if I burn down the building trying to print something".
I applied for full-time, went through orientation, they gave me a short sleeve shirt in the middle of winter here in Indianapolis, Indiana and a pair of pants that were five sizes too small for me. Then they called and told me what my post was going to be and I was going to be part-time... I said oh no I'm not available for part-time... Goodbye. 😂
I just quit after 1 full day. I would literally have to do a story time to explain all the fckry that occurred from the moment I made contact to me clocking out early and leaving. The company is the ghetto of security. I wouldn’t even call it that. If you need quick money, cool. But don’t expect much from the “leadership”. The entire experience was trash.

Working as a security officer I prefer a set permanent schedule because I need it to be close to public transportation because I don't drive and have a vehicle.
Honestly even though I'm a single guy but I have a planner mindset which is why I would not want to sign to be a flex officer, because I'm the type of person who needs to know what's going on what I'll be doing and where I'm going far in advance so I hate surprises and spontaneous, also I'm what you call a passive security officer that doesn't like engaging people directly except for co-workers, I'll put up with the flex officer schedule only for a while just to build up some time and finances then I'll go for my level 3 commissioned security license then work either at another security job or somewhere more laid back.
Wow 😂 they trained me one day I still don't really know what to do a year later I've made it but they did train me for a full day. At least. Butttttt I love the employees in the factory they have helped me. A lot more than my securitas ever did.

Yes I used to work for this company back in 2016, I was a site manager at an airport and they had strict rules on parking some airport employee tried to say I yelled at hime for parking in the wrong spot, I just said move your car please, they tried everything to fire me, but I put my two weeks nottice in and right before my two weeks was up one day my shift ended and I said thank you but i'm not coming back, they were like I thought you was leaving next week, I said "suprise, i'm out of here". I wouldn't work or recomend anyone else to work for this company if they were the last employers on earth, they are scum. My regional manager was in Pittsburgh. I am in WV. Thanks for the video and for sharing.
My supervisor smelled like shit and WANTED to keep the guard shack dirty. They moved me because I “demanded supplies”… I literally just asked for paper towels to clean up. Worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life!
This reminds me of when I worked for Allied back in 2018. Posts where you have to be relieved were the worst. Nobody wanted to come to work on time! I put in my 2 weeks notice after only 4 months. Couldn't do it anymore. 🤣🤣🤣
I hope you find a great job you love, that you are treated well and will allow you to use all of your strengths. Someone should send the owner's a video on how they can fix the toilet! It's not that hard. You can get portable outdoor heaters aswell, at least for temporary use. What else?... Sometimes the worst jobs and places allow us to meet people we value and never forget. Sometimes these struggles allow us to learn things and we grow stronger. Keep going!
Thank you so much! I actually just got a new job in my field & get to work with animals so I’m excited about that. 🥰 Man, those people don’t care about our wellbeing at all. I got PTSD from that place. I agree, I met some amazing people there along the way, which made it worth it ! 😄
Congrats. That's so fun to work with animals! You can help them and they can love you back. Strangely the 2 jobs that I had working with animals I had coworkers that were very toxic and tried to lie and get me fired to benefit themselves. Anyway, keep going strong!
They lie like h### also they don't give you your shift you ask for either also they don't like female officers Especially because i found out on my first day when the second shift man came on talking about a female officer who started saying she was a little touched very slow she couldn't get stuff right. Then I had to train with him myself and the way he talked to me and what came out of his mouth wasn't very smart or bright. I know what you mean about this company gets you down on people like them.
I worked for them when they were universal and I quit. I applied again a few years later, they emailed me and said the position was filled. A few days later I got a call saying to come in for an interview. I know they only called me back because my guard license was still good. I actually told them that but I took the job because it was in an area I was familiar with.
It sounds like you have a work ethic, and its understandable why their training or lack thereof, made you uncomfortable. You have the personal integrity that we look for in officers. Generally we have to screen through 25-30 applicants to find one officer like you.
I work for a security company years bac my company was chill … got move up …. Any ways company sold out … I stop doing security for some time n seen an add for allied universal so I decided to try it out well my manger was ok but he decided to step down from manger and then it was just BS from a new management try to talk down to me making me Al that bs I’m like what also a lot of ppl in security .. we’re kinda Werdio
So I applied to Allied Universal because they were offering staff jobs such as parking, ushering, & greeting at the door. Man these guys sucked at communication, and somehow the guards at a complex that let me in struggled to even know who Allied Universal was before orientation. Orientation went fine but the immediate red flags for me was when these guys are SUPER POOR at responding to scheduling requests. And if you’re a company/manager that isn’t good with communication, I would rather not deal with that. That’s when I was like “wow… no wonder these guys will take anybody”.
Unprofessional racist supervisors with no oversight. There is no way to prevent supervisor timesheet tampering. Managers are indifferent to wrong doing by supervisors. Payroll is often wrong and needs to be corrected. Errors are always in favor of the company.
They put me on as site supervisor to cover for one now they don’t want to pay me the site supervisor pay, I’m pissed and I m gonna get mine.and yes toxic drama , they age discriminate too.
u ever try being a patient safety sitter at a hospital trust me, even better if u can avoid emergency departments and some are also patient safety surveillance techs like me and its super easy, its under nursing support. Sometimes they have different title names but its the same thing. Hospital differentials and bonuses is what makes it stack up.
I work out San Antonio, I went through similar experience at the beginning. Its not so bad now. I just hate getting shuffled around. Oh, they wanted you to go to shulemberg, thats insane.
The only way i would flex guard would be $ 6.00 over minimum wage and . 25 cent mileage because you work multiple shifts multiple sites you have no life.
I worked for allied started as gate guard promoted to flex officer then promoted to branch patrol officer had my own unit as well I left to be law enforcement
"I'm going through a lot right now and can't wait to leave Allied Universal. I work as a security guard in Alaska, and recently, a colleague of mine, Jeffery, was arrested. His ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual assault after he refused to help get her new boyfriend out of jail. She contacted the police, and they showed up at his job to arrest him. It’s really unsettling how quickly things spiraled. Jeffery was also homeless living in a hotel barely getting by, the supervisor refused to help him fight off the case with proven records of hi Ex-girlfriend, who was written up for trespassing on the property at the easy part transit station. As Sabrina mentioned, this job often feels like a last resort for those on the edge of homelessness. I was in that situation once myself while working for Allied Security. But soon, I'll be leaving to work for T.S.A. Security at the airport. To make things worse, there's a snitch in our workplace who constantly spies on employees and reports back to the hiring manager. She's always trying to go above and beyond, but no one wants to work with her. I, along with many others, avoid her at all costs. It's definitely time for a change!"
If anyone is going to get into security I would recommend only doing armed security. You’re almost guaranteed a set schedule and you’ll generally get paid quite a bit more. From my experience pay rates are more negotiable because they need to fill armed posts and armed guards are fewer and farther between then your basic unarmed guard.
Which state are you referring to ? I work for Allied in Los Angeles and pay rates even at armed gigs are based on the contract Allied signs / negotiates.
Truthfully I work for them I do not recommend it. 7 years no pay raises no pto no sick days nothing not a slight bit of help. Messed up paychecks you name it. If I could afford to switch jobs I would
I’m at California allied universal. It’s so miserable being transferred from post to post because and having hours cut. Once I get to one location I get transferred to yet another one. And the flex stuff just isn’t cutting it for me. Ridiculous company.
I’m looking for a part time job. I had an interview with them twice one being this morning. Both times they never called me back. I sent an email to the interviewer stating I had an interview she says sorry I was in a meeting can I call you at 9:15am mind you it was 9:10am so I said sure. I waited at 9:34 still no call. That was a red flag for me because this is the second time they did this like why setup an interview with me and don’t call me so yeah I pass on this company
Yep I work for this security service 😐. But what I don't like it's the moving around. They moved me from one grocery store to another. They're just trying to put a body there to work. well the one Field supervisor here in San Antonio I do like communicating with him. But I really wish management would give us the opportunity and really communicate.
What did you think security was before you got into it? You didn’t think it would be a body at a location? Im being serious, did you think you signed up for a traveling nurse job?
I worked with them before they became Allied Universal I worked with them when they were Allied Barton they were the same way and everything as your saying in the video as well.
Cuz each installation has different contracts different hourly wage that’s why it’s important- not your fault to hammer them to let them know I’m looking for this at this wage. They do this. You are very smart you will do great with whatever you do in life. Very good video. A lot of Modules here lol. Dam girl your though. Lol
I didn't even give them my 2 weeks, as soon as I got offered an in-house security job and a set schedule working for the Trump Organization, I called and said "I'm not coming in this weekend, I got a new job lined up... So I'm quitting." They called me up after I quit and they asked me if I could come back, I laughed and said "absolutely not!"
I applied for a position that was sitting due to me having arthritis in hips. They bait and switched me to a trucking gate. When I told them I couldn't physically do it..they told me they don't make accommodations for employees and bye
The training lol.. theres people that just walked in and finished in 10 minutes.. they dont even check if the person doing the test is the right one.. if you do the training and test correctly they dont want you!! They prefer sketchy unlicensed guards..
If anyone reads this you can transfer possibly.. .just ask. I work 4 days with 3 days off. I've been working at the same site since 2018. Definitely has ups and downs, but it kind of built a bit of resilience in me. Free time to do things as long as you're doing your basic duties. Take care people.
This was 2 years ago in Houston and this same thing is happening today 2024 Downtown Chicago, West Loop. Allied has 1 helluva a reputation nationwide 😂
Almost done watching this video! You are very funny lol I enjoy listening to your voice! Thank you for the advice! I’m literally the same way as you especially when it comes to training I want to make sure I know everythingggg. Thank you I kept seeing videos of why this company sucks after doing research on them. I was gonna reply but yeah so many red flags. I see why they have so many positions in New York. I’m definitely not about to slave for a security company making minimum wage. I don’t want to retail anymore but I don’t think security is it for me either! Thank you for keeping it real. These managers have lost their fucking minds! 😭💀 LMAOOOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL AF
You sound rachet and hypocritical calling others unprofessional with that language. Educate your expressions first, then you'll come across as credible and professional in your statements.
I worked for this joke of a company too. 21 officers in one month. That's the only word that describes this company; a real JOKE. Not as much as Securitas, but right up there.
Im glad I got a new job. I was with allied for a year and a half. My manager was annoying she would always change my locations and wouldn’t give me days off I wanted off cuz of school. I also never got my COVID pay after I got COVID. Unprofessional business
I have been late relieving somebody by 10-even 22 mi before at a post....by accident When i got myself mixed up with time but 1-3 hours!!!! That is unacceptable! I have Allso NEVER Hear of you being required to show up if you are not scedualed In fact if you do I think that would be a Automatic dismissal Bc the company would assume you were trying to con them out of money you are not Entitled to because..................................YOU ARE NOT ON THE SCEDUAL !!! Like what the hell!! ??
I work for securitas and they are okay I have men bugging me that's the only thing but it's the weekend shift. I only had to do a double one time and I am not going to do that again. They keep messing with me ill quit. They don't pay enough really. I have two jobs.
Just got on at securitas critical it’s being bought by a private security company & sexual harassment here is a big deal There is a lot of men bugging women here
Most contractors security companies have the training philosophy of teaching you how to swim 🏊♀️ by throwing you into the deep end of the pool without a life jacket. Then you either learn to swim quickly or you drown!
A uhg account in las vegas, the site supervisor and allied universal management, allow their supervisor along with their favorite employee to carry marijuana on to the 888 southwest medical site, and smoking it. The female supervisor and the coworker go to 2450 patio to smoke, she goes to 2300 to sleep several hours in a small room out of site of the cameras. Her male companion never patrols, he goes on a constant smoking excursions with her. Easy money for them. So they be in a habitual zone all the time. Abusing their authority on to the employees who do their job. These abusers are on the influence or stone all the time. they keep up the harassment without fear they will be reported, because in the senior site supervisor smokes it with them at the end of his shift, by his dirty white pickup often. And management are pot smoker too. If any of the victims ever complain to the chain of command, the command will retaliate on the victim instead. You would think there would be drug testing, but not this management team. Don't get between them and the recreational marijuana smoke time.

You can get portable outdoor heaters aswell, at least for temporary use. What else?...
Sometimes the worst jobs and places
allow us to meet people we value and never forget.
Sometimes these struggles allow us to learn things and we grow stronger.
Keep going!
Thank you so much! I actually just got a new job in my field & get to work with animals so I’m excited about that. 🥰
Man, those people don’t care about our wellbeing at all.
Thank you! Oh lord I’m sorry to hear that. People are just….idk man 💀 You too!
I currently work for this company. This place is trash and toxic! I’m in California and this is by far the worse job I ever had.
I’m sorry you experienced that. I definitely understand as it was one of the worst for me too
I worked for them when they were universal and I quit. I applied again a few years later, they emailed me and said the position was filled. A few days later I got a call saying to come in for an interview. I know they only called me back because my guard license was still good. I actually told them that but I took the job because it was in an area I was familiar with.
I hope it’s working out for you
It sounds like you have a work ethic, and its understandable why their training or lack thereof, made you uncomfortable. You have the personal integrity that we look for in officers. Generally we have to screen through 25-30 applicants to find one officer like you.
Thank you that means a lot
Incredibly invaluable information. Thanks for sharing!
That’s when I was like “wow… no wonder these guys will take anybody”.
sounds about right
Unprofessional racist supervisors with no oversight. There is no way to prevent supervisor timesheet tampering. Managers are indifferent to wrong doing by supervisors. Payroll is often wrong and needs to be corrected. Errors are always in favor of the company.
Agreed
WOW, after watching this video, I don't feel so bad getting rejected from Allied Universal. 😅
Gods protection
Your not missing anything lol
Yes I got what you’ve experienced, because I got mine too before when the first manager that I had I work with the company.
They put me on as site supervisor to cover for one now they don’t want to pay me the site supervisor pay, I’m pissed and I m gonna get mine.and yes toxic drama , they age discriminate too.
Smfh!!
In the main office yes. I agree it’s toxic AF.
u ever try being a patient safety sitter at a hospital trust me, even better if u can avoid emergency departments and some are also patient safety surveillance techs like me and its super easy, its under nursing support. Sometimes they have different title names but its the same thing. Hospital differentials and bonuses is what makes it stack up.
Thank you! I never thought about that
I know exactly what you r saying. I lived in B/ more. I'm trying to leave @ I will 🙏🙏🙏. God got me
I work out San Antonio, I went through similar experience at the beginning.
That’s awesome!
Flex position is a promotion ?
Wow! I hope TSA is much better 4 you
If anyone is going to get into security I would recommend only doing armed security.
I have heard that before too, thanks for sharing
Same here ouch it should have been a red flag for me to
It’s all a learning experience!
God’s protection.
thank you 🙏🏽
Yep I work for this security service 😐.
Lol
Thx for telling me your experience story ma’am
🙏🏼
I agree allied universal is awful i put in a 2 week notice
Congrats!!
Smh that’s messed up. I hope you found better
The training lol.. theres people that just walked in and finished in 10 minutes.. they dont even check if the person doing the test is the right one.. if you do the training and test correctly they dont want you!! They prefer sketchy unlicensed guards..
Forreal lol
If anyone reads this you can transfer possibly.. .just ask. I work 4 days with 3 days off. I've been working at the same site since 2018. Definitely has ups and downs, but it kind of built a bit of resilience in me. Free time to do things as long as you're doing your basic duties. Take care people.
I been with GardaWorld for 3 years and i have no issue with them. Their better than Allied
Garda is dope! Don't plan to leave anytime soon!
How is that company?
Really? I’m so glad to hear that! Ima have to check them out I never heard of GardaWorld
@@Ddeath.Eaterr i was going to work for allied but then i look at the reviews so i backed out
@@freddy_is_thetruthsame 😭
This was 2 years ago in Houston and this same thing is happening today 2024 Downtown Chicago, West Loop. Allied has 1 helluva a reputation nationwide 😂
😂😂🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Allied Universal is a TERRIBLE company I have worked security pretty much my whole adult life !! Working for them was the worst of any !!!
I agree
Worked for Securitas and Triton in northern Maryland between 2013-2017 and never looked back.
😂 I applied for Part-time, but they considered me Flex. I cant be mad cs they got me my ccw. I went from $16/hr to $26 with another company
Ayeee! Congrats
Absolutely ❤️ Stay farrrr away from Allied, it’s not worth it. Thank you for listening I so appreciate you!
You sound rachet and hypocritical calling others unprofessional with that language. Educate your expressions first, then you'll come across as credible and professional in your statements.
I wanna leave so bad their fucking crazy
I hope you find a better job 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Easiest job I ever had, but the worst job I ever had was
The truth is the truth I work now and there terrible and I'm a site supervisor they know nothing I mean less than nothing it's sad
I have experienced the same problems and I got a wrongful termination for insubordination ( Not) ? Not a company to work for!
That’s terrible
I worked for this joke of a company too. 21 officers in one month. That's the only word that describes this company; a real JOKE. Not as much as Securitas, but right up there.
Damn
Securitas used to be a pretty good place to work when I worked there 20 years ago. It sounds like it has changed since then.
They cut my pay its why i quit
Same. Their crazy
@@Ddeath.Eaterr i agree
Fedex is no better...Lee Deuce former Baltimore stripper aka Jack the stripper.
Im glad I got a new job. I was with allied for a year and a half. My manager was annoying she would always change my locations and wouldn’t give me days off I wanted off cuz of school. I also never got my COVID pay after I got COVID. Unprofessional business
Wow that is terrible. Congrats on the new job!
Exactly
I work for securitas and they are okay I have men bugging me that's the only thing but it's the weekend shift. I only had to do a double one time and I am not going to do that again. They keep messing with me ill quit. They don't pay enough really. I have two jobs.
Just got on at securitas critical it’s being bought by a private security company & sexual harassment here is a big deal
There is a lot of men bugging women here
Most contractors security companies have the training philosophy of teaching you how to swim 🏊♀️ by throwing you into the deep end of the pool without a life jacket. Then you either learn to swim quickly or you drown!
True
I will be getting $19.25 an hour with allied universal in manhattan NY
Soon
I get $19.66 an hour in ATX
Update us on how you’re doing and how often is your pay, weekly or bi weekly.
Company lost contract
I’m going to work at Aldi supermarket instead they pay $19 an hour in
New York NY
Wow that is horrible
so ya site gets shot up. nope cant wear body armor or any PPE...
so i will need to train all the guys that i work with so they dont shoot me in the back. great... sounds like the best.
wow they got me doing flex right now wooow
I would record everything so there will be no misunderstanding or confusion
Yyyyoooo I thought I was the only one!
I was getting ready to apply too lol
If you do I hope it’s a better experience lol
did u get OT when u stayed at work till 1130?
Yes but I had to fight for it
They also laid me off work for a bit
I am sorry to hear that smh
They offered an Uber 💀😂 if only most or all jobs can do that for employees.
I was a fill in too when I was working for ALlied
Trying to leave these bigots now smh
I hope you find better
Was Everything Quick?
Yep. Too quick.
Terrible Site Supervisor and HR no help.
