    I just passed the PPO\Qualified Manager Exam June 2023. I have a decade of Security OPS MGR experience. I'm currently writing my business plan. My strength is sales and have many connections. My weakness is capital. I'm in California, and plan to be very successful.

      Congrats @CitizenEdge that;s a HUGE step!!!! If capital is an issue, then your best bet is getting customers to pre-pay. For some people that's a tough conversation, but I know more and more security companies that are doing it. If you need outside funding, I would say tap the friends and family network. Lastly, you can try the traditional bank route. But I'd try local small banks and or credit unions.

    Most retails already have contracts with some guard business. I’m saying 85% of them have. The rest are not ready for it. It’s truly hard to make new sales. How to get new clients? Digital marketing requires to spend a lot of money to build that atomization!

    • @Officerreports
      @Officerreports  Рік тому +5

      Great observation @mathildas757. That is correct, most prospects that you are pursuing are going to have security services in place already, which is a good thing because you don't have to try to convince them to add money to their budget for a brand-new initiative. That's even harder to do! Your job right now is to build relationships with those prospects so that when they are ready to fire their current provider or solicit proposals you're one of the first people they think of.
      Digital marketing does not have to be expensive. You found this video and we didn't have to pay anything to post it. ;-)

      I TOTALLY disagree agree with you on it being a waste of time being in security. I just attended the IOBSE conference and there were SOOO many high level security professionals there it would splatter your brain matter. Check out this guy www.linkedin.com/in/keith-white-336050185/. There are so many opportunities, but you have to be willing to put in the work. Have you worked on getting any certifications like CPP?

    Hello, I live in Saudi Arabia and I own a security guard company, and I am really having difficulty selling the service - and as you know now we receiveing many international companies in our country, so what is the best way to sell our services to them? Thanks

      Great question! If it were me I would put together a program like this. 1) Find out as early as possible what companies are coming and who will be managing their security. 2) Put together a guide that alerts them to laws, rules regulations, and security topics that will serve as a guide to security in SA. 3) Offer to provide a free site consultation. 4) Have a list of references that are similar to them. 5) Tell them why you are better than the competition. 6) Show them lots of technology (like Officerreports) 6) Follow up often. I hope that helps some.

      Thank you very much for your kindness, I think what I really need is someone to play the role of a sales representative who should be of British, American or Canadian nationality to gain the trust of these potential customers.
      Thanks

      That is a good idea as well, but I think someone fluent in English would be just as good. As a foreign entity, I would imagine that those companies would be expecting to talk with SA citizens. You just need someone who understands the culture and has a good level of fluency.

    Great content really enjoyed your video. I'm starting a security guard company with my wife in Dallas. Is there a way to contact you directly? Do you give consultations?

    Is there any way you can add a dark mode on your app.
    One issue I have with your app is, while working night shifts, the QR scanner is so bright.

      @Officerreports  Рік тому

      @nomanjamil152 There really isn't a "Correct" path to success. If you think your current company would be ok with you be a competitor I would say go for it. But honestly, I would doubt that they would comfortable having a competitor working for them. You could trying stealing their clients. In terms of how I would do it, we've talked about that in quite a few videos. Do you have specific questions that we can answer?

    I work for a pretty well established private security company in based in Los Angeles and slowly growing in Central and Northern California. We branched out into San Diego about 3 years ago and I am the Area Manager / Operations manager but I only have one account. I have been struggling with the finding of leads and exactly what he said in this video how I'm a good Operations Manager but I have a hard time getting out and finding new clients. One of the other issues I've run into the most with the clients I HAVE been able to get in contact with is that we charge more than most companies down here. Speaking with guards I've hired who have worked for these companies I have found out that there are a lot of guard companies down here that either pay their guards under the table or many other ways that they save a dime so they can charge the client less. Do you have any suggestions for how to deal with these issues?

    • @Officerreports
      @Officerreports  Рік тому

      That is a GREAT point. To me, the answer is showing customers what they are getting for the $$$. If you are able to show customers WHY you're more expensive, most get it. Check out this video. ua-cam.com/video/-_JBJBXVzEM/v-deo.html

    This interview doesn’t provide the most challenge: how to get new clients as a statusp! There are 10 guards companies in the same city nowadays. How to get new clients and how to convert clients to work with us!

      No matter where you go or what industry you are in, there will almost always be competition. Your challenge is making your potential clients understand how your company is better for them than the others.
