+Awesome Shizzle There's only one fan, but yes, this is the geared turbofan. It's called a "reduction gear" not a transmission, because even a single ungeared shaft is a transmission as well.
What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL JET...!!! And i love the quiteness of those engines. The older A320's use to have such a heavy drone/whine upon take off. These engines are whisper quiet. And of course that's what everyone wants on a flight whether it's a short 3hr trip or longer for that matter. GREAT JOB AIRBUS...!!!
Wow, wow! What a huge engine! Gosh! It's so beautiful. I'm so glad that you flown the first A320neo flight. The engines is so quiet, but not too noisy at all.
What an Amazing Aircraft & Video thakyou for sharing it with us Dantorp i hope there will be a landing video along with some cabin footage, Great job Keep it up :)
One of a kind video. Lucky opportunity, and you made the best of it, Dantorp! Spectacular as always, but this is a rare catch and so even better! Liked! :)
Mega M Super quiet. Doesn't seem to make a huge difference, but I'm surprised that they didn't implement chevron on the nacelle like on other modern engines.
Impressive filming, a Take Off video from Finkenwerder is a rare thing! The new engines are huge and quiet! But the sound was much better with the old CFM-engines ;)
That engine is huge! The wing view looks like a 777 or A350 wing view. Thanks a lot for sharing! I probably saw your face in this delivery flight's report on flight-report.com. A blond guy holding a Panasonic Camera, seated in one of the first rows on a window seat. That's enough to recognize Dantorp!
+YULplanespotting Keep in mind that given the unusually low gross weight the flex thrust used was unusually low. Also the engine is designed to put out 35k thrust on the a321neoLR. Also we have yet to listen to a 33k CFM leap. Dont lose hope! :D
Incredible silence of those PurePower Pratt and Whitney PW1127Gs!! Sounds like some older engines at idle even makes more noise than the PWs at takeoff thrust.
The neo is nice but I think it takes away the A318/19/20/21 buzz which I love about the planes, this is definitely nice and it reminds me a lot of the GE 90's at takeoff.
beautiful aircraft and video! My favorite part was when the pilot did a goodbye wave. It was pretty cool to see the airbus beluga too! Anyhow, nice video! Sub and like!
Wow those Pratt & Whitney PW1000G engines are so quiet just right amount of noise for long flights which can be tiring due to high noise but those engines are wonderful.
Superb video as always and congrats on scoring this special occasion flight. Btw there's a lot of back and forth how to judge the pitch. How did it feel too you as a very frequent flyer? But then you are obviously in business class, Did you have a sit in the eco rows?
The A320 is a great aircraft, and now the A320 NEO outfitted with new Pratt & Whitney PW1000 engines makes it an even better aircraft because it's so damn quiet compared to the IAE V2500, or the CFM-56 engines used on the A320. The V2500 has that annoying buzz saw sound, and the CFM-56 engine is cool, but is loud in the cabin.
Dear Dan, thank you for yet another amazing video! You are one lucky boy! I love the sound and note of the new PW engine.. the cabin seems very quiet... Did you notice/feel any other main differences flying on the aircraft?
What a privilege it must be to be invited by Airbus to be on the first A320NEO flight. Great video Dan! Did the pilot do a 'goodbye wave' right after rotation?
Great video however I hate to go against the majority however I am not in love with the engine sound ( my opinion), just not enough buzz for me! Great vid and lovely plane non the less!
+Dantorp Aviation and I'm sitting in an empty Uni lecture room watching this while eating 2 minute cup noodles...that's my lunch and dinner every day because Uni costs soooo damn much lol
The engines sound like GE90s on startup! I like this!
+Tosin Salisu Yes - but they're so silent!
+EverythingAwesome4UAviation You again!
im in LOVE with the sound of those engines right now, its so relaxing
I can't believe how quiet those new Pratt & Whitney engines are. That is simply amazing.
Beautiful wing wave right after rotation!
To anyone asking about the Delta A321, it's visible right as liftoff in the group of parked A320 family aircraft (towards the back) around 18:20!
+Awesome Shizzle There's only one fan, but yes, this is the geared turbofan. It's called a "reduction gear" not a transmission, because even a single ungeared shaft is a transmission as well.
Can u fly United dantorp
+Vinod Rai he has flown United!
Loved the goodbye wingwave at 18:20!!
This movement is banned in America from the FBI
That takeoff, that cloud break.. those engines. I love it
Woohoo Delta A321!!! Looks amazing!!!
That was such a quiet, peaceful takeoff, especiallt at the point of rotation.
Like a "Mini 777" 👌
breathtaking! but tell me, how the hell do get on to one of those flights?
+Tim Schwarz Just about to post those very words! Well done, Dantorp for reaching these dizzy heights of respect.
+〰 Badekaeppi Probably work for Lufthansa, for starters.
Its so quiet that its too quiet :/ Loved the good bye wave done by the pilots after the rotation! Amazing video as always!
+noble6aviaiton Thanks man!
Great video! I was amazed with the engine sound.
Thanks for sharing!
+Pupazzo di Neve My pleasure!
12:00 AHHHHH MY EYES ARE BURNING HELP! Really though Spirit can find a worse livery than before it makes me want to throw up.
Oh it'll get worse, just wait. The new livery's even more terrifying.
Patrick Proctor hahahaha
Gotta love the "goodbye" wing wave at takeoff, pretty interesting from the inside
What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL JET...!!! And i love the quiteness of those engines. The older A320's use to have such a heavy drone/whine upon take off. These engines are whisper quiet. Wow, wow! What a huge engine! Gosh! It's so beautiful. I'm so glad that you flown the first A320neo flight. The engines is so quiet, but not too noisy at all.
The take off sound is soooooooo beautiful!!!
takeoff sound is so beautiful on a320 with iae v2500 engines
Awesome video! Those engines are a LOT quieter then the IAE or CFM engines on older A320 series aircraft! I'm truly amazed at the difference!
What an Amazing Aircraft & Video thakyou for sharing it with us Dantorp i hope there will be a landing video along with some cabin footage, Great job Keep it up :)
Great engine sound and nice wing wave! :D
INCREDIBLE video!! The engine is SO quiet!! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome view on the engines ! Amazing video !
Wow, those engines are amazingly quiet.
Wow those engines are quiet. Awesome that u got the opportunity to fly only the a320neo
Wow!The engines sounds amazingly quiet.
Thank you Dantorp for your all awesome video !
Geez, I was expecting a loud noise, but it's so peacefully silent. Beautiful takeoff!
Very thin ceiling, loved that burst through also!
So unbelievably quiet! Great video as always.
watch out for the a330 neo wish you can make a video with it😀
Video very beautiful, I very like. Thank you very much very much
Pratt & Whitney my new favorite engine manufacturer.
Beautiful sound!
One of a kind video. Lucky opportunity, and you made the best of it, Dantorp! Spectacular as always, but this is a rare catch and so even better! Liked! :)
Amazing A320neo Catch !!!
That engines are so quiet!!! Now I desperately need a Tupolev 154 tri whiiiiineeee!
Those engines are so quiet! Great vid!
Very quiet start up engines. Great video.
Very quiet engine and good power. Nice :-)
smooth as luftansa..sweet vid
That engine is huge! The wing view looks like a 777 or A350 wing view. Thanks a lot for sharing!
I probably saw your face in this delivery flight's report on flight-report.com. A blond guy holding a Panasonic Camera, seated in one of the first rows on a window seat. That's enough to recognize Dantorp!
Wow! Great video, I enjoyed every second of it! It's amazing how quiet it is! I kinda miss the buzzsaw though :/ Anyway, HUGE like from me!
+YULplanespotting Keep in mind that given the unusually low gross weight the flex thrust used was unusually low. Also the engine is designed to put out 35k thrust on the a321neoLR. Also we have yet to listen to a 33k CFM leap. Dont lose hope! :D
+YULplanespotting I'm happy you liked the video mate!
***** They do have a smaller bypass section than the leap 1a. Promising though.
Oh my goodness! It is absolutely silent! May I ask how you were able to be on the delivery flight?
Beautiful!
either that camera has an awesome stabilizer or the runway is incredibly smooth
Are you going to upload the landing part?
Excellent video Dantorp! :)
Very cool! Two thumbs up! Thank you.
+A1388233 Thank you!
Your videos are amazing!!!!!!
And you didnt tell me? I live 20km from there, could have spotted you flight ;) Awesome Video! Yes if it wasn't airbus, it could be Avgeek heaven! :D
+PilotsTubeHD Oh come on, we both know Boeing learned making planes from the Maus ;-)
+PilotsTubeHD Oh what a shame! I'm glad you liked the video anyhow!
+Dantorp Aviation excellent video ;) :)
Geniales Video! Thx!
Incredible silence of those PurePower Pratt and Whitney PW1127Gs!!

Great review
Nice wing rock!
beautiful aircraft and video! My favorite part was when the pilot did a goodbye wave. It was pretty cool to see the airbus beluga too! Anyhow, nice video! Sub and like!
Awesome video man!!
Engine sound likes a Hybrid.
Nice
Can't get rid of the classic PTU bark though, good to hear it during start-up.
Lovely! Greets from Denmark :p
Hey Dan, just saw this vid... Bloody hell, that is so damn quiet!
This is so cool!!!
amazing!
Nice Wing wave :)
Wouldn't think it's that quiet!
sounds very very quiet !!!! woooooow !
The spirit a321 is probably a brand new aircraft with a fresh paint ready to be delivered to Spirit from Europe to USA.
Nice wing rocking
Nice Wing Wave.
No more buzzsaw! The GTF sounds so smooth and quiet. Curious to hear the LEAP.
I think the leap will buzz a little more.
And the media always claims that the airplane designers don't do anything against loud planes. I was amazed by the new engines!
Awesome :) How did you manage to get on that flight?
Wow those Pratt & Whitney PW1000G engines are so quiet just right amount of noise for long flights which can be tiring due to high noise but those engines are wonderful.
thats one quiet engine
Superb video as always and congrats on scoring this special occasion flight. Btw there's a lot of back and forth how to judge the pitch. How did it feel too you as a very frequent flyer? But then you are obviously in business class, Did you have a sit in the eco rows?

Mark Potvin aviation enthusiasts love the buzz saw though, you wouldn't understand
You're annoying, IAE V2500 are the best. New engines are fucking shit LIKE YOU.
Dear Dan, thank you for yet another amazing video! You are one lucky boy! I love the sound and note of the new PW engine.. the cabin seems very quiet... Did you notice/feel any other main differences flying on the aircraft?
Nice Video Bud.
Nice wing wave right after departure
So cool liked
Wow, that engine was so quiet that I struggled to notice when the flight began to take off.
Great video mate!
+ukplanespotter757 Thanks!
+Dantorp Aviation Was that Philippine Airlines A320neo? I saw the logo of the plane.
What a privilege it must be to be invited by Airbus to be on the first A320NEO flight. Great video Dan! Did the pilot do a 'goodbye wave' right after rotation?
Even though this is a brand new aircraft, it still have the traditional Airbus's PTU sound during start up
WOW ....... W I N G W A V E ! ! ! ! ! ! !
It looks like a great plane, but I don't like how big (and quiet!!) the engines are, CFM and IAE sound so much better 😂😂
Wow it's so quiet!
The clouds came quickly
Great video however I hate to go against the majority however I am not in love with the engine sound ( my opinion), just not enough buzz for me! Great vid and lovely plane non the less!
i liked the new planes the a380s and the airbus neos
When it started there was a bit of grinding noise... maybe from the gears?
hey man, where are u from ?? and how can u fly 100000 times ?? hahah Amaaazing videos !!!
When did the engines turn on again it was to quiet?
Dang dude, I'd love to be you right now than learning magnetism for my AP Physics class!
Ironically, I'm learning about magnetism in my IB Physics class at the moment too haha!
Ahh so not only does Mr. Dantorp fly but he's also a high school student somewhere :P
+Dantorp Aviation and I'm sitting in an empty Uni lecture room watching this while eating 2 minute cup noodles...that's my lunch and dinner every day because Uni costs soooo damn much lol
nice video
Nice video. But D-AINA has actually been in commercial service before this flight. She just returned to Hamburg Finkenwerder for this event.
+FRA SPOTTER Thanks! And I'm aware :) It was just nice to fly here at all!
Gosh! How do you get on a delivery flight?
