Very simple. How much is localization? 99% How much is the cost of the battery? 60% of the total cost borne by us for the scooter. Do you make the batteries too? No, its Korean.. Very simple math in his head.
They changed the specs the next day after reveal. All their claims of quickest, fastest scooter, best in segment boot space, 8.5 kW motor were lies. It was a cheap move to steal attention from Ola. Definitely something suspicious
Do we have a charging port standard for EVs in India ? If every company has to develop their own charging stations then it would be confusing to users and it will be slow too. We need one single standard port for EVs just like we have in petrol based vehicles
Heard the unveiling was a disaster and was filled with confusion and mistakes...they apparently changed their 0-40kph time to match Ola's when initially they had given a different time and also used Ather's front dash screen image as their own in the presentation.. they also apparently changed the power output figures to match Ola's figure..
Exactly and what this tells us is that product is not finalized yet they are making such big promises. I'm highly doubtful that they can deliver but if they do deliver then good for us consumers but will have to wait and see.
I have 4 questions 😁👉 1- Is it completely waterproof? 2- Can we charge it with normal electric socket? 3- How many years does its battery work properly and where and how can it be replaced in case of problem? And how much can it cost? 4- How much is its loading capacity, because scooty is not used for sitting only one person in a normal Indian society , and sometimes in the empty space in front of the seat, we keep heavy things.
Question and answer with bhawesh Please talk with him for ola scooter also Too many details are not disclosed yet... Warrenty ,subscription ,weight carrying capacity , seat length , if 2 people comfortable on the scooter , range with 2 person , and in each mode what is the minimum range if we fully load the scooter
No subscription charges for Functions thats absolutely brilliant.. Also this is a pre production model but will there be any change in the actual production model for the customer . Any additional features will be added like Reverse cruise control ?
Very nice and informative interview. One of my queries is cleared in this interview and that was a make or break deal type question that I have had. Thanks!!!
Design wise this scooter really stands out ,looks sturdy ,modern ,elegant .Ola scooter looks very fragile and compact . If it's range & power remains on par or even slightly less then also this scooter will make a strong case for itself in the fray of electric two wheelers.
Both Ola S1 & Simple One come with fibre bodies. Looks are pretty subjective, and a lot many people have loved Ola's clean, uncluttered design. And Ola S1 is definitely not compact though in the ads it may give the illusion of being scooty like in size.. It's a proper full sized scooter & can stand up to Simple One.

I have a doubt. If we buy an electric vehicle and for some reason we drive very less let's say about 10,000 kms in 5 years. What will happen to the battery after 5 years? How much of its range will remain?
Yes we need big players like Mahindra, Bajaj and TVS to start taking electric scooters seriously. Although, Bajaj and TVS have their own e-scooters but expecting more from these companies
I am from west bengal I buy simple one it's my very attracted scooter .west bengal how much price and government subsidy yes or not where get information.
Today's problem is that limited production of E-Scooter of this kind and people wanna buy them but limited state's have that availability and Simple-Energy want's to grab that oppertunity.
So true. They tool an Arther and made minute changes in the body and it's clear that these guys are changing the specs often to match the competitors. Don't have a factory set up too. They are just fundraising.
simple CEO has simple answers
Very simple.
How much is localization? 99%
How much is the cost of the battery? 60% of the total cost borne by us for the scooter.
Do you make the batteries too? No, its Korean..
Very simple math in his head.
1 million per year ... not simple !
Simple is definitely unbeatable on paper but service and trust is what matters, let's see how simple does in that department
That's the main deal breaker on any Indian startup.
Electric scooters are less service oriented in the starting itself
It is chain driven so you would need clean and lubricate the chain at intervals
@@pritamswarupajena1194 when u start driving you'll know.
Its just like a gadget you buy
There are reports that Simple, kept updating the specs to out-match Ola's after Ola launched their scooter.
Yes...Simple should be stick with their specs also...Let see..
Demo vehicle was registered ather450 on checking the registration number!
They changed the specs the next day after reveal. All their claims of quickest, fastest scooter, best in segment boot space, 8.5 kW motor were lies. It was a cheap move to steal attention from Ola. Definitely something suspicious
Thats a fact
Do we have a charging port standard for EVs in India ?
If every company has to develop their own charging stations then it would be confusing to users and it will be slow too.
We need one single standard port for EVs just like we have in petrol based vehicles
Sooner or later it would have to be standard. I am sure companies will working on it.
A lifetime data support for the scooter that's impressive!
What does this mean?
Can you please elaborate about data support?
No, Its good but not impressive , as they'll use this data to improve their system + sell it. So both, its a plus but also a negative.
Mostly lifetime means 5 years in this field which is unwritten rule. Still its a good one.
Wow,this is so nice

It’s a pre production model.with in production they can tweak their performance.
Are you a reject from this company 😂 relishing in their mistakes
Ola also Changed the range , you can see a change in voice over audio . I think .
massive red flags, I'm gonna stay away
Exactly and what this tells us is that product is not finalized yet they are making such big promises. I'm highly doubtful that they can deliver but if they do deliver then good for us consumers but will have to wait and see.

Reverse mode already there. If you see the display you can see R in the right bottom. Cruise control 50/50
Very nice and informative interview. One of my queries is cleared in this interview and that was a make or break deal type question that I have had. Thanks!!!
Looks like a remodelled ather 450x..? Anyone..?
It even came with a number plate which is of an ather
The scooter will be successful or failure, we should encourage this generation. All the best
QA session good and answers many of my questions 👍
no subscription is an amazing concept. Hope they can deliver on it.
Lifetime free subscription seems great and impressive! But it all comes down to delivery timeline!

Good preparation from the interviewer.
Simple looks really good! But they should also consider to hire good marketing team like OLA and Aether!
It's an ather scooter
there is no subsidy for electric scooter in kolkata. I don't know why?
Good questions asked!

Relevant and to the point questions. good.
What is cost of removable battery? If I need to buy extra one
66k, as per it's ceo
@@arundeepak5599 60% of total bike cost for both battery packs. So for the removable battery pack, it should be much more lesser.
1.6 kw .so maybe 25 to 30k

so? that 1% of imported part cannot cost 40% of the price? what are you trying to say.
Battery cells are important. Battery they make in india.
6:42 he clearly says that 1% in 99% is that.. We don't have lithium here in india and Ola also claimed if 100% localized here...
Price percentage of parts and localized percentage are 2 different parameters..
@@shobinp5789 it is 1% using what metric exactly? 99% localization has to be based on price, which this scooter doesn't have
I just came here, to watch the scooter 🙂 Best in class 🤩
Do all the electric scooters have different charging port to are they compatible in different companies charging ports.
will simple one comes to nepal?? we want these scotters in our countries
wow, if only i can afford i want one of this for my daily commute 😍

I wonder , the odo of scooter shows 12666708.9 kms (one crore) at 3:14
True but in their sense odo may be different also km is not there after that number...
