You were incorrect. Ola S1 charges in 4.5 hours which is comparable to Ather 450X which charges in 5+ hours. The 6.5 hours charging time is for the Ola S1 pro variant which has a much bigger battery pack.
At the moment, we only know the numbers quoted on paper for both Simple and Ola. Ather is the only brand among these three which is tried and tested by a lot many users. We'll only get to know more about Ola and Simple once it tried and tested out in an uncontrolled (real world) environment. Until then it's just a spec competition 😊

I too have booked the S1 Pro. Called Ola and they said purchase will start from 8 September. But test drives will begin in October. So I just don't understand, how are we supposed to pay the full price without even looking at the scooter physically? This is really stupid. What if we don't like it or it doesn't suit our needs? I don't think they'll allow cancellation post full purchase since by October the RTO registration would have been done before we get test rides.

I don't know but I think that 245km is due to using the eco mode at best case and can be limit speed of 20-30km else why for a range of 110 max why so many modes In ola 2 modes may make the normal mode max to be 50 or 60 limit that is very much ideal and if want overtake or go speed can use other options like hyper or sports. I personally have booked ola and will wait till atleast 1-2 review are there.

What is the life of the battery? What is the replacement cost of the battery? What are the environmental problems associated with battery disposal? Without answers to these questions, the rest of the information you present is meaningless.
I really doubt any of them have battery recycling and for that there is Tata chemical already in works to do so. Most of them don't want to boder with it and right now most of them use foreign countries to do so. And using the plans we can even sell the battery to them in future and get some money back as they also will make Tata motors battery and for others also so may get cheaper matterial. But it may take 3-5 years and most of us who use them will face battery swap at that time only. Hope Tata chemical do implement there plan quicker as else battery replacement may cost more.

But in short battery cost is near half or atleast 1/3 of total vehicle cost

And battery reduce so if ola claim of 120-180 are very close to reality then people can easily manage in 50% of the capacity so they state there battery looses 20% charge capacity in 30k km and loose 2-4% in every 7k km (k=1000). So make it accordingly if you can charge daily and run is around 30km max and buy s1 pro and it deliver even 150km then even if battery loose 50 or even 60% of capacity most people will not mind and for that if we see ev car figure they coat atleast 500k miles+. My cousin use hero ev optima and he have driven it well atleast nearby for last 4-5 years and his earlier best km and todays best km are very close only 20% reduced. So it might be a lesser concern then people imagine. That's why people say 150 is to much if we charge daily but it also solve future problems. And if you think then simple is better then I really think the number is a scam that can only be achive in Eco mode and seeing no of modes I really think it would not be more then 40km/hr max speed that is like not even usable in my opinion.
