- I was on the edge of calling it quits. Then the EF Johnson Radio collectors group on Facebook came to my rescue! Clark Turner suggested a few things to look at, He was spot on. The repair has advanced to the next level. I now have full RF output, however the audio need attention. Lots of hum. With the assistance of viewer donations, I have a new wireless microphone system. I believe it sounds super! Let me know your thoughts. Thank you all for supporting me and my passion. This Invader will rock when completed.

Great to have friends. Good work.
I have the Invader 2000! It has the built in 800 watt 2x PL175's (4-400) amplifier. NOT a true AM rig (USB+carrier), but puts out an excellent signal and is a joy to operate! Thank you for this video!
Clark is an awesome guy offered to help me on my Collins KWS-1 .
Audio is excellent!!
Great audio. Glad you found the missing Tube Shield.
Yep, Im covered!
Thanks for your time
Mic sounds real good,go with it!
Terry, thank you for the mention. You have given me more knowledge of tube amplifier and tube radio troubleshooting than I could hope to ever repay. All of your videos are a must watch for me.
Such a beautiful transmitter. Probably one of my favorites of all the EF Johnsons
Your new mic sounds great.
Microphone sounds great.
👍👍👍👍👍 it’s ok
I get by with a little help from my friends. Thanks for showing all sides of the fabulous D-lab.
Mic. sounds fine!
The opening music sounds like what would’ve played on Radio Moscow in the 60’s! Don’t know if I should expect a pre-emptive first strike or a faulty EF Johnson 200 Ham Transmitter.
Wireless audio sounds great! Glad you got some help to fix that Johnson. 73 from K9POW in eastern Tennessee.
Wireless Mike sounds good. I really enjoy your video content.
The microphone sounds good and clear.
But he sounds like a DARLEK
LOL... Great audio now, Terry. Thank you. 73 de K7RMJ Frank
I was just given an Invader 200 for my first boatanchor by a generous ham. He's dropping it off at UPS on Saturday and I'm eager to receive it. I'll be back with questions and pleas for help soon!
Terrific you stuck with it and got it modulating! The wireless Rode is 5x5 and noiseless.
Great stuff Terry..😀 Mike sounds great..Look forward to a second Liv stream... Keep at it, love the vids..Ed..U.K..😀
Audio sounds very good!
Id love to find a 2000. I need something to drive my 3 tube 3-500z box. We will see how my ranger 2 drives it. Clark is awesome.
The wireless mic sounds good!
Mic sounds great
The Rohde mic sounds good! With it being wireless I hope it doesn't interfere with, or be bothered by, any of the other radio gear you're using. Frequency ranges are probably widely different.
The Invader sounds okay for now, all things considered. I'm sure you'll go forward on it and get it (not) humming soon. All it took was a little help to get you past that one problem, and now you've got a source for more information. Good luck with it!
Gratz on getting progress on that radio.
Man it's a pretty big BA, isn't it? A real...
space invader
...
_(ducks)_
Audio sounds better
AUDIO sounds like THE OUTER LIMITS
The problem on your live feed wasn't the mic. It was the echo from having two windows open during the feed. If you watch it it's plain to see. Also might try a different streaming service. 👍
Terry, cool fix. Your audio is ok, but a little muffled. I notice you have the mic tilted to the side... Vertically it would work better I think ( fuzzy ball on top)
Yes, I have a lapel mic on the way, should really help
HEY TERRY,,ITS CALLED INVADER 2000,,NOT 200!!
look closer at the front panel This is a 200
You don't sound very enthusiastic about this one.
Your voice is missing the "brightness" and smiles
it has when fixing something like a Viking Twice.
Yes, sorry has been a challenging week
@@d-labelectronics we're with you!
If I had three hairs left on my head, three people from work would have one of them each, pulling it.
Grateful for the many tips and solutions. Learn something from every post. Got two Viking II running wit your advice. GL OM ES 73.
