He's still wrong in his rant about burgers. What makes a burger a burger is if you have a pattie, which is something ground up into pattie shape. So you have fish burger, hamburger (beef pattie), turkey burger, veggie burger, all because its a pattie of ground up ingredients. A sandwich does not use a pattie. A fried strip of whole chicken breast is not a pattie, so it doesn't matter what bread you use, a bun, a roll, a loaf, or a croissant, it's a sandwich. Not a burger. This is why even Mcdonalds calls their fillet o fish a fish sandwich. It's fried and breaded fish, not ground up into a pattie.

I feel like sharing one of the very memorable nightmares I had: setting is a completely plain white, walled off mix of a labyrinth and skyscraper city. I was terrified and running away from my mom, but w/o any escape she'd at some point catch up to me to beat me. I woke up in tears right before she got me. it was a trauma dream, obviously. my mom never beat me tho. I got the slap on the face one or two times, but that together with her struggling with her own traumata, emotional control and the inability to admit fault/going defensive really fast did plenty of damage. the most recent nightmare I had about a year ago was me just walking along a narrow path through the woods. the path was lit by the sunlight and the shrubs on every side were pretty, but very thick so I could only go on the path. in contrat behind me was someone walking. someone I know. a girl I used to be _very_ close with. her presence alone terrified me and I silently plead over and over again not to be recognized. I also woke up in tears and incredibly terrified. that person behind me was just the sadistic(she called herself that) emotional abuser that had me in her clutches and partially completely under her control for almost a decade. that dream reflects too well the fear of the chains comming out again to drag me back into that hell. this isn't trauma dumping btw. I deliberately chose nightmares not just because I barely remember any of my few dreams and those two stayed very clear in my memory, but also because horror is interesting and so is analysing the dreams that can come from traumatic experiences and how the symbolism within represent specific aspects that could further help to identify what exactly triggers for example reliving the trauma through flashbacks. the subconscious could help to figure out how to better cope with these things through what one can learn from their nightmares. ..I swear in a life where I showed more interest in school I would've become a psychologist or something. incredibly interesting tho. dreams are a window into one's own subconsciousness and the self deep within doesn't lie like our conscious mind does. I'm rambling too much, sorry.(it's 1am lol)
Wow. This is such incredible content! I'm definitely on board for more. Best of luck to you, and I look forward to what else you'll be doing in the future! Keep up the great work :)

Arfter I watched salad fingers 11 I saw david firth's other satirical works and thought they where halarious. Ive been a fan of david ever since. Glad to see your doing something more about david firth less than just salad fingers. I had basicly the same exiprence as you
To Americans burgers are made with ground meat patties. You can have a chicken burger just like you can have a turkey burger or even black bean burger (not meat, but still smooshed and pressed into a patty), but that chicken would have to be ground. Fried or grilled chicken would mean it's a sandwich. You can have beef with all the same toppings and it would be called a sandwich if it's a whole piece of meat and not ground. I used to get a steak sandwich at this place that had grilled onions and peppers, cheese and tomato and it was delicious, but not a burger.
Awesome video, I dont think I would be able to watch these videos without such great commentary along with them. So glad I found your channel from the lost GIF video.
I also am really interested in dreams and really into Lucid dreaming. Sleeping and dreaming are one of my favorite things to do. Love to see you talking about them!
Holy sh*t you brought back memories for me. Uuuhh seeing this stuff as a 5th grader probably had an impact on me. Even so, good memories of my early days on the internet.
This type of nonsensical fever dream-like stuff is so viscerally unsettling to me. It makes me uncomfortable to my core, scares me on this primal level that's hard to put into words. A feeling somewhere deep inside you that you can't quite put your finger on nor explain in any way, but it's as if your whole body was screaming at you that _something_ is very, very wrong, without any conscious thought coming into it. I think it's because of how inexplicable it is. You have zero control, zero understanding, you're trying to make sense of it but there is none, and that sends your poor rational brain into a sort of panic... ...or something like that. It's hard to explain exactly. But it feels like losing your footing, having the rug pulled from under you. I feel like all my childhood fears and night terrors (and there were many) were in some way rooted in this. David Firth really kinds nails what those felt like. So anyway thanks for this video.
Wow!! This is stellar quality (like EVERY OTHER comment here also states) and I'm glad that watching today's new Ep#13 drop of SF, the auto-start-random-similar-stuff brought me here!! Sweet! You remind me of myself if I were a guy who made quality YT videos, lol.
I am so glad that the "oh I'm actually a small channel" joke aged like milk, and that you no longer are. It's so clear the effort you've put in, even from the start!
I've been doing a speedrun of all your videos as entertainment while I'm playing runescape and I'm happy to inform you almost all the music you selected here allowed me to click perfectly on the games .6 tick speed! :)
a little bit of dream interpretation; considering how gender/sexuality generally seems like a major theme in Sock Six, Carol's story in particular feels like an almost natural nightmare-version of the transgender experience. especially in the UK it's an arduous and humiliating process to gain access to required medical resources - from the too-personal questions to the invasions of privacy to the complicated half-supporting half-painful way family treats them about it. hell, Carol's scene even takes place in a bathroom! it's such a gutwrenching way to end that Sock
Brother, you and I are on such a similar wavelength in our likes and dislikes. Your other videos made me think this, but your love of Firth's work confirms it. Been watching that guy since the golden age of Newgrounds when I was in high school, back when there were only a couple episodes of Salad Fingers out. We should hang sometime. If you feel comfortable coming to the land of the Chicken Sandwich, that is.
An interesting tidbit I read a while ago, that scientists think that laughter MIGHT really be related to fear. Where does laughter come from? Its an odd thing to have if you think about it. Why did we need this? So, Imagine you are a hunter gatherer a long time ago. You and your hunting party hear something in the brush. Everyone tenses up, then a bunny jumps out and ALL that tension, all that adrenaline, needs to be flushed out. In a twofold benefit, slapping a bunch of happy chemicals in to calm you, but... that makes you laugh, really really happy. The laugh from the first person to see the bunny spreads... its a natural "all clear" alert. I think thats why comedy and discomfort works so well together, they are meant too. Want an audience to laugh, make em uncomfortable... then relieve the tension. For added fun, once they calm a bit and the adrenaline is leaving, scare the holy shit out of them... now its not a comedy its a horror movie... or... maybe both lol
Stumbled across this video randomly and I'm glad I did! This is such an interesting, funny and well produced video and you deserve way more subs, big ups! 👍 Also, another funny name for you to laugh at: Kråke

I like you. You are the exact kind of person I want to watch. You did the right thing a year and a half ago! No office. You were made for this!
I love the shoutouts in this video. Love your videos, Jeff!
I feel like sharing one of the very memorable nightmares I had:
setting is a completely plain white, walled off mix of a labyrinth and skyscraper city.
Now that’s the type of advertising I want to see bravo Jeff I think you might’ve gotten yourself another subscriber on Patreon and UA-cam.
thoroughly enjoyed this, looking forward to more videos from you!!
I dont know why but sock 5 resonates with me so hard, like every couple months I find myself watching again and It takes me back to 2015 when I first watched it
Actually found your channel in my recommended beneath a Wendigoon video (it was about the human lightning Roy) and been binging your videos ever since, showing it to everyone who is willing to listen
I love you so much. I was getting so sick of hearing about salad fingers because NOBODY brings up his other animations. Me and my friend used to watch the milkman video all the time. Thank you
Arfter I watched salad fingers 11 I saw david firth's other satirical works and thought they where halarious.
I'm obsessed with this content. It's also so oddly inspiring.
I'm over the MOON; I love Firth's animations and have since I was but smol.
THE NEWS HASNT HAPPENED is one of my favorites ...but all his stuff is amazing...Sock 5+6
I watched all of the Sock videos because of this, thanks, it was amazing!
Holy sh*t you brought back memories for me. Uuuhh seeing this stuff as a 5th grader probably had an impact on me. Even so, good memories of my early days on the internet.
lucid dreaming is a topic ive always been interested in, would love a video from you on it!
If there's more interest I'll add it to the list!
15 minutes in and god I hope you watched the news hasn’t happened yet. I love these videos.
Every once in a while i'll go back to the dog opera... it brings tears to my eyes
Very much enjoyed watching this! Great vid man!
im pretty sure in an interview david firth said he takes the photos of sock 5 himself, pretty neat
Joe Cartoon. Now that is a name I have not heard for a very long time.
The guns used in Skins Without Men weren't rifles, they were shotguns.
Im new UA-cam just recommended me you're final destination breakdown and u are killing it dude keep going
Great video man. Just discovered you today. Loved it.
Glad to hear you liked it! Appreciate your comment. Welcome!
If David was into soda pop he'd be called David Thirst maybe idk
1:15 this aged so welll
I love the way you give us the information.
dude that section where you are yelling "list list list list" is such a great scene in this video
HOW do you only have 3.8k subs? Your channel is criminally underrated! Well, I’m subbing now. ❤
Thank you, really appreciate it :)
Watching your subs go up by 1000's a day is giving me life.
a little bit of dream interpretation;
considering how gender/sexuality generally seems like a major theme in Sock Six, Carol's story in particular feels like an almost natural nightmare-version of the transgender experience.
especially in the UK it's an arduous and humiliating process to gain access to required medical resources - from the too-personal questions to the invasions of privacy to the complicated half-supporting half-painful way family treats them about it. hell, Carol's scene even takes place in a bathroom! it's such a gutwrenching way to end that Sock
Cracked video. Man never misses.
Also, another funny name for you to laugh at: Kråke
I’m sending this to everybody I know this is so underrated
WAIT YOU MADE 10 TAPES??????
HOW DID IT TAKE ME THIS LONG TO REALIZE THAT??? DUDE THAT SERIES OS AMAZING!!!
This was beautiful 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I just discorverd you and love your style of video making. the scene where a bunch of clones of you in the f oot ball field hearing for you to reveal the list or the jacket randomly appearing, your sense of humor and listening to you speak. just listing things I like
I hope you're doing well. I just beat the like button to death
I wish I hadn't waited so long to watch this, I thought I wouldn't be familiar with any of the content you talked about but I was pleasantly surprised. Sock sounds like a kind of series I'd love to watch, but would have to avoid for all the [youtube doesn't like these words] content. So thank you for summarizing, this was a very enjoyable watch and a fascinating dip into the mind of David Firth.
Ello!
I have watched various of your videos over some random ammount of time and somehow came across this one.
First of all - nice work!
Secondly - I wanna see that how to lucid dream video happen in your style, that'd be probably an amazing trip on its own.
I would always pretend to be salad fingers when I was little and my family HATED it
Thanks for sharing some of david firth's other stuff!
This video is how I found you! i'm surprised it doesn't have that many likes- it's great!!
Wild that this video, the second ever, got me to join the patreon.
Commenting for the algorithm, this is top tier shiz. Great channel dude o7

Wow so he got another 10k in 3 days. I'm getting these videos spammed hard in my feed though, so the algo is carrying hard rn
a video about lucid dreaming sounds cool, would love to see you talk about it
"I love when I'm not sure if I should be laughing or not"
*5 minutes later*
"Quitting my job wasn't a bit. I may have fucked myself"
Not sure if that was intentional, but I'm dying
bro you are like pyrocynical with a moustache for random shit and I love it
God I love it when a creator has the same web searching habits as me
