Juicy NEIPA - Homebrew Beer Recipe
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 лип 2024
- In this brewing video we're making a Juicy New England IPA that's going to be full of citrus, melon, and fruit flavors. This IPA is packed full of Willamette, Mosaic, El Dorado, Citra, and Centennial hops that are all added after the boil as whirlpool and dry hop additions in order to give this New England IPA amazing fruit flavors, but not too much bitterness. This recipe is guaranteed to be a success and something you'll want to share with family, friends, or strangers at a party. We use pilsner malt as our base along with some high protein flaked adjuncts like oats and wheat that will help give our beer more haze which is an important part of the NEIPA style. The yeast we used for this beer is Imperial Yeast's A38 strain. These yeast is perfect for New England IPAs because it compliments the fruity and juicy flavors from our hops. Stick around to the end to see us taste our NEIPA and see how it turns out. Follow along with this tutorial video and brew this recipe at home using the Clawhammer Supply BIAB system, we recommend you pair it with steak, hamburgers, french fries, a BLT, or wings. Check out the resources below for a full recipe, brewing equipment, and an educational article about the NEIPA style.

Just brewed my first all grain beer recently, and I followed Emmet’s advice and did a lot of going-ahead. Worked out really well!
A good video that goes over the entire brew process at a reasonable pace, without too much extraneous BS.
Nice video tormund i hope u do well in the battle of winterfeld
lol
😂
Hahahahhaha
That cooling plate though, my god that's awesome.
Love the brew vids. Keep them coming.
NEIPA is by far the best. I've only just discovered it and I can't get enough in the Covid-19 lockdown
I just brewed a single hop IPA-ish beer with a local hop farmer who brought me some wet cascade hops fresh from his bines that morning... I can't wait to try it out!
Hi I really like the video. I'm about to brew my first hazy ipa. This made everything clear to me. Thank you good sir! You're a cool dude as well.
You rocked it, very simple. Beer looked great!
I like NEIPAs. This vid made me thirsty...cheers! ;-)
Looks great! Will definitely give this one a go! Thanks!
Gentleman, I loved this recipe. I brewed it with my system which is not as fancy as yours, but gets it done. I did make a mistake and forgot to get sugar for the boil addition. I ended up adding blue agave pure from Costco. I made this beer on 3/20/19, and kegged it on 4/3/19. Had a small party on 4/6/19. 3 gallons gone after party, and i just finished the rest on 4/22. No one touched the craft beers i had bought. They all wanted more of this beer. I am planning on brewing this again! Thanks for the video. I love the idea of system you use.
Thanks for detail demo, it's really helpful.
yall are doing the lords work here, godspeed.
Great video! Would love to see more in depth like this
Outstanding! I am a beginner home fermenter and this was super informative! Thanks so much! 😊👍🏻
Best video so Far.. I love it!!
Drinking the first bottle of a NE IPA i made three weeks ago and saw this vid so you know i had to come give a "like"! Mine usd Warrior, Citra, Mosaic, and Ekuanot. Super juicy but not nearly as hazy as I wanted. Oh well tastes great anyway. Cheers guys
You look like a mythical beast sipping the beer. Majestic. I never felt more like a man.

He's a real man, other than you.
This is a badass brew set up
I really like this recipe.
I'll try to make it.
That's how I imagined the brewers. Like )))
Eu amo esse equipamento. ❤️ Obrigado pelo vídeo.
Cara, tu conseguiu comprar isso no Brasil?
NEIPAs seam extra susceptible to oxidation, but I could not see you taking any steps to avoid that here. How did this NEIPA look a couple of weeks in (if it survived that long)?
This one are the BEST i already brewed, thnx guys !!!
Love it!
Hope this review of the beer made in the video continues!!
Great Video Emmet and Crew!
Cant wait to brew something like this
Looks beautiful. Nice job.
Love that A38
Brewed this recipe using the same grain bill and basic water profile a couple weeks ago, but 10 gallons, and it turned out great. The only differences were as follows: First, I used the same basic hop schedule, but followed your suggestion of not using lemondrop hops. I then split the batch in half with the final dry hopping of 2 oz Citra in one and 2 oz Mosaic in the other. Second, I used Wyeast 1318, the well known NEIPA yeast...not sure if that is the same as Imperial Yeast Ale Juice A38. Last, I did add a half ounce of Willamette at 60 minutes just to give a bit of bitterness, which is negligible if at all. Have just finished carbonating and tasting over the last few days and both turned out great. Mosaic is a much more grapefruit-centric hop while Citra has much more orange character. Both beers are noticeably different in flavor and aroma, but the basic elements of the base beer are in each and quite solid. I would recommend this recipe. It is very well done. Thanks for the video and recipe.
Hey mate, what temperature did you brew this on? Also, do you remove the first dry hoping when adding second? Same for third addition.. amazing idea to separate the batch and try both hops! I might do the same! Thanks for sharing!
I'm gonna go ahead and like this video.
Just discovered your vids! Awesome job 👍👍
Tried a blueberry IPA a friend made and it made me want to get into brewing sweet good aroma not very bitter
Dang looks delicious! Cheers
Looks great.
Just had two roads juicy. Can’t wait to give this a go
don't really like beer but after watching you doin the whole process is like a whole new world to me!
If you don't like beer you will like NEIPA's trust me ;)
You know, everyone craps on this beer style as trendy but it does taste great.
Looks delicious. Well done Sir! 🍻
Hi! Nice video! I intend to brew a NEIPA this week. I have a question: Did you do cold crash or just after the second DH you transferred to the keg?
Love the look and hops used in this beer. Brewing it this weekend as the first one I'm doing since I bought your system. Hoping it turns out just as good!
how'd turn out?
@@TR4VI5 it was dangerous
nice video, thanks for sharing
Damn so much work goes in to this makes me appreciate sitting at original Pattern Brewing Company drinking a hazy ipa
Looks great
Been looking for a recipe like this for a while, looks perfect. Will swap out the lemon drop for Mosaic I reckon. Great Vid, thanks
выглядит вкусно!

Great video 👏👏👏
I trust this guy any day!
I just found your channel and really like your videos! Also I grew up in foco, go rams!
Nice !
Force et Courage un Grand MERCI pour cette vidéo ! ;)
Excellent film. I also liked the quality of the video. I have never tried two stages of Dry Hopping, it must have been very good. Congratulations, directly from Brazil.
That looks tasty as!
I like your style and your beer making 😜😜😜🤘👏👏👏👍👍👍🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
I love to make beers in the house , but its not easy for the beginners , but great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just finished brewing a NEIPA couple hours ago first time doin this style pitched some WLP066 london fog ale yeast cant wait to see what happens. anyways great video's guys and super sweet set up your running there.. cheers 🍻
How did you like that WLP 066, I used the same yeast for my NEIPA and having the first bottle of it now. I'm loving the hoppiness so far, just not as hazy as I was wanting. Did yours come out hazy?
What do you guys use as a dry hopping bag?
Hey guys, would you help me out? How long did you ferment your neipas? I’m actually at 12 days with two dry hops and still got a bubbly airlock.
@@brunoabarca3754 I had the same issue on mine recently. The thing is airlock activity is not really a good indicator that your beer is finished. Taking a gravity reading is the best way to know. If you're around 1.010 (more or less) you should be fine to bottle or keg.
How long after the second dry hop with the lemon drop do you keg it?
nice vid. informative.
Did kind of something like this with
Pale Ale Malt
Maize Flakes
4g/l El Dorado
4g/ Citra
divided into whirlpool+dryhop
Yeast S-04
My best beer so far
Love the video! I'm curious about the fermentation chamber that is used. Wine fridge? Bar fridge?
Massa esse suco aí hein barba ruiva. Parabéns
Was that a late boil hop addition only, then dry hop? And 1 oz. Of each?
Mmmm yummmy! Is nothing like regular beeram sure mmmm 😘💞💋
How long do you keep the dry hop additions in the fermenter?
Nice vid, thanks. Do you adjust hop utilisation using that basket?
Вкусно наверное =)
Awesome 💗💖💗👌 👌💗💖💗
So jealous of your setup. Still got a way to go until I have all the kit I need. great vid, gonna try one these real soon.
Very good video !
Annnd, I’m subscribed!
Great vid - will give that a try. Btw is that fermenter chamber an outfitted wine chiller or custom job?
How long fermentation after taking out the 2nd dry hops addition? 3 weeks?
great video ! I am going to do this recipe as an extract brew . All grain brewing is too expensive for me to get started.
PS. I just subscribed . ( I am going to binge watch all of your videos )
I had a thought for increasing efficiency in your system. I noticed it doesn't allow for sparging, but what if you tried the following:
After mashing, and with the grains suspended over the kettle, drive your heating element to 100% and run your wort through your wort chiller.
Then, run your domestic hot water line through the chiller to pick up the heat of the boiling wort. Adjust the domestic hot water flowrate to ensure you are at the proper sparging temperature.
Then simply rinse the grain bed with the fresh, preheated water until you reached your ideal boil volume.
Hi, where did you get your brew basket from?
I’m looking for one and can’t seem to find one I trust will do the job. I’m tired of using my drilled plastic bucket with a nylon bag inside.
Cheers
Dan
Thanks for the Video. Could you explain briefly how you adjusted the Water profile?
Not sure if I missed it in the video but how long did it take to carbonate?
Just wondering.... do you not sparge? Also, do you use a PH meter at any stage and when removing the lid of the fermenter to dry hop, do you purge the oxygen?
Thank you :)
man that looks good. I've got my Juicy NEIPA in the bucket now. The first sample was great. I used 4oz of EXP Apple Crisp in the whirlpool and dry hopping with loral, hallertau blanc, and huell melon.
Keep us posted on that for sure!
Hayden Hollenbaugh any updates on how it came out?
Eddie D it was alright. I think I messed with too many variables. Right now I’m making my usual milkshake ipa and adding blueberry this time. The last one was strawberry and it was amazing. All Nelson and mosaic on this one.
i cant buy El dorado hops in my country, which one i should replace? sorry im a newbie
What temperature do you set your fermenterator at when your fermenting?
Bravo
Love the reviews, guys! Keep em coming!! We should have you on our show one of these days!
Where can we watch your show?
Que buenos acoples
Would you mind to share the fermenting temperature? What temperature do you start? And also do you do sparge? Or just leave it out?
How does the water profile contribute to the haze and how did you change it so that it would?
Love that you guys are doing the tasting with the brewing video. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
Thanks for watching -- all of the new videos going forward will have a tasting at the end. We recieved a lot of feedback-- and that just works best.
Mmmmmmmmm,
DELICIOUS!
Hold on. Do you aerate after the yeast addition or before? I always thought it was before yeast...
guy from norway here! - Love the BIG "hop" mussligbag for Dryhop! i'll ry that next time :D
We used the BIG one-- it was the only one I had at the office that day-- they work great.
hey.. that¨s great! i feel like when i use the small one.. i don´t get all of the hopp flavor.. the bag gets so full and hard like a baseball.. haha!
Love the videos guys.
How do you calculate the amount of water in your full volume brews?
how did you make the device at 0:27? that grinds things
How long was it in the keg before you tapped it?
Thank you for the video!
However, isn't it to much oxidation that comes by opening the whole fermenter to dryhop the beer? I have had many problems with oxidation. I thought it occurs due to opening the fermenter.
looks delicious. I've just started down the dark path of NEDIPA's. Yet to use pilsner malt. Guess I should just jump on in.
Hi, how long the fermentation lasts and at what temperature?
Hey Guys, great videos, thanks for sharing your expertise and experiments.
I love your kegerator. Do you have a video showing how it was built?
We do. It'll be up soon!
