Pure art and talent in all forms! Brewing, content creation, editing, presentation, filmmaking, story telling and entertainment. Awesome 👏 keep up good work! 🤩
I see you have enough compliments already but one more won’t hurt. I think this is genius! While serving its purpose of teaching a beer recipe, I got transported to a weird space drama that slowly built into an hyper-trippy retro rock opera worthy of cult status!
I would buy a plane ticket just to come taste this beer of yours. Very entertaining sir and it's obvious you enjoy your craft. Thanks for sharing this.
This looks and sounds like a channel with over a million subscriber in terms of production. Incredible job. Paradoxically, this stresses me because I don't want you to stop making vids.
Hey Great video. I read your full recipy. I am writing the recipy in the grainfather app and i have some questions : 1. You put your grain at 175,5 F and let it go down to 154 F as you put the grain and leave it for 90 min for the Saccharification rest, is that right ? 2. Do you recirculate the water while this is going on, or do you stir (or it is called a rest period for something) Thank you very much for these answer.. still learning and still tasting. Jonathan
I don't even know what just happened but I loved it. I remember now that I watched your 'build a homebrewery' video sometime this winter and all of a sudden this!? amazing lol. Brewery looks fantastic, well done and congrats, effort and $ paid off :)
Man you sure pour yourself into these high quality vids! Amazing job sir! My favorite beer to brew is a NEIPA. I will try your recipe for sure. Cheers!
Great run at the NEIPA, a true hero, you took 50 tries for perfection and hopefully I can get it on the first when I try your recipe! Great behind the scenes footage as well!
Sweet video! Ive been doing sorta the same thing trying to brew the best neipa I can, tweeking it each time. Its a work in progress. Glad u finally made the mecca of neipas man.🍻
@@BrewCabin looking at the recipe.....is that 90 min mash time correct? Just wanting to make sure because I going to try and brew that today. And how much rice hulls did u use with all those flaked oats and wheat?
Great video and I appreciate the recipe. Just brewed it up and it’s the best beer I’ve made. Mouthful is perfect with the grist and water profile. Is a tad too bitter so I’ll dial back/remove the bittering charge but man. First beer I’ve made that I’d honestly prefer over a lot of commercial beers.
I'm sure it does a little around the garage door, but we did a really good job at insulating every other wall and ceiling. So leaking is very minimal. Plus the garage door itself is insulated at R-7 value. And we added a better seal at the bottom, sides, and top of the door.
Wow, talk about raising the vid production bar. Incredibly well done and fun to watch (and I know nothing about homebrewing)!! I can't find the Order Now button though. Do you ship to NYC? 🍺
Epic and excellent work, Matt!! A not at all hazy (clear) visual and audio achievement! The subtle Bowie reference and acoustic accent had me thinking you would end with some lyrical images of you in a brew kettle happily orbiting earth forever. But you went with the climactic energy of space oddity married with Kubrick’s psychedelic trip. Brilliant. You continue setting the bar higher. 👍🏼
I did it using images I created in Adobe XD studying the screens from the movie. And added code animations using an Adobe Premiere plug-in called Red Giant Universe 5. The link in the description shows a behind the scenes video on how I made the whole thing.
I was looking at the recipe and had a question. It calls for a hopstand of Galaxy and Nelson at 180 and then at 200 but then you have another hopstand at 190. Is the 190 with more hops or just what you had already added after the 2nd hopstand?
Hey, great video and I also read your article, but do have a couple of questions regarding your water profile. You recipe includes a bunch of water additions. Will adding these to RO water create the desired water profile or do I have to start with the water profile mentioned and then add the "Misc" mentioned in the recipe? When do I add the water chemicals to the water and do you add these to the sparge water as well. PS: What is your starting water volume and sparge water volume for the Bowie IPA?
If you have any questions about this beer recipe or how I made this video, leave a comment and I'll be happy to answer you.
lets get that recipe my man

Thanks! And roughly 3 months ;-)
I'm pretty sure you might be the only person combining brewing with this level of content/art/humour, and I love it.
Thank you! Means a lot 👍
Your videos have great production value, please make more. I love them!

Amazing! Absolutely epic
Thanks bud! Gotta come over to try it IRL ;-)

Nice work! Lots of time spent on that one! 👍🍻

1. Correct. 2. Yes.
Magnificent! A first time for me to experience anxiety from a homebrew video, thanks a lot HAL.
Thanks, Josh! Did you seriously have anxiety? Because that's kinda awesome. Means I made HAL feel real.
Godamn, you are one of kind sir!

1. how many gallons do you brew, w/ a garage setup this nice id want to do 10 gallon batches....

I saw one of your video's and then couldn't find your page again. You are a true master at video's and beer? Can I have the ingredients list?
It's this one: pages.brewcabin.com/neipa/
also, does ac or heat escape your garage at all? id be concerned w/ leaks in the corners
I'm sure it does a little around the garage door, but we did a really good job at insulating every other wall and ceiling. So leaking is very minimal. Plus the garage door itself is insulated at R-7 value. And we added a better seal at the bottom, sides, and top of the door.

Awesome production. I do not see your Columbus Hops addition on the Brewfather recipe?
Thanks! I updated the recipe. Don’t think it needs it anymore.

Thank you! I’m glad you appreciated the end and what I was trying to do. I married Kubrick with Bowie/Floyd.
how did you make those code animations and spider graph of the hops in the beginning of the video?
I did it using images I created in Adobe XD studying the screens from the movie. And added code animations using an Adobe Premiere plug-in called Red Giant Universe 5. The link in the description shows a behind the scenes video on how I made the whole thing.
@@BrewCabin That's awesome thanks!
I was looking at the recipe and had a question. It calls for a hopstand of Galaxy and Nelson at 180 and then at 200 but then you have another hopstand at 190. Is the 190 with more hops or just what you had already added after the 2nd hopstand?
There’s 6 ounces of hops total in the hopstand. One at 200 and 180, each for 15 mins
