America's Test Kitchen tested about 8 slow cookers, and recommends a Kitchen Aid 6-qt. unit.
Manual ones the best if u carry that thing around u will drop it mine is 15yrs old works like brannew keep it simple it will last forever
Loved this video! It is a year late Dec 2022 and Hamilton Beach now has a rectangular nonstick slow cook that saute's etc! I love my regular Instant Pot 6qt for pressure cooking but it does not slow cook well so am getting a slow cooker. Since this IP is not available anymore but there is a new IP dutch oven slow cooker, that still cooks from the bottom so am leary about it actually heating on all sides. If anyone has used the new Hamilton Beach slow cooker that can saute, would love to know how it has worked.

It's about a year later and the IP is discontinued :( Just curious if you're still loving it? There are a couple similar multicookets available now.
I am! I use it at least once a week! My only issue with it is that the non-stick coating is starting to show some wear because I use it so often!
@@NanLovesFood that seems to be an issue for every single slow cooker with a nonstick coating. Even the ultra expensive all-clad.

It looks like a non stick inside - probably deadly, Just like air fryers! (cadmium, lead, PFOAs ALuminium, PTFEs, etc.
