    You were right. I did not understand where you were going with weeding lines but it did eventually make sense. that would be good for some projects.

    THANK YOU for this tutorial. I had an intricate flower that I was reverse weeding, but still was losing pieces. I was searching for a trick/hint and came across your video. The weeding lines really helped. They’re are more pieces to weed. But I’m not losing anything.

    I actually started doing this after I had a really intricate design and manually cut around it and was scared of cutting through to the backing or into the design! Such a great hack! Thanks for sharing!

    I love knowing how to make a weed box. On the boxes I would have had the box. Cover one line of the font, would save having to weed those letters in 2 pieces.

    I keep coming back to this video again and again! THANK YOU for such a great step-by-step tutorial. I would love to know what tweezers you use to weed. I have been using the Cricut hook/pick tool and find that i doesn't always yield the best results, especially when weeding out tiny pieces.

    Hi! I know this video was posted awhile ago, but I really need some help as I don't know what I'm doing wrong - or if there is something wrong with my cricut.
    That being said - I'm beside myself! I have cut and tried to weed a very intricate design using weeding lines because it is a large project. So, I did it where I needed to slice my design to get the 'see through' version of what I want to cut. Done. I made the 'line box' - no problem. (I made my boxes a little longer than the width of my design and one inch high each). I looked at everything and it appears that the weeding box lines are UNDERNEATH my design. Both on my design space canvas and also when I hit 'make it', I triple checked and all of the weeding lines are BEHIND MY DESIGN.
    HOWEVER -- when I went to cut it (after all that da*n work), and put it on the shirt that I got just for this project, I pressed it on --- and you can see that the cut line for the weeding box actually cut through some of my actual design and you can see a thin line at some point though almost every one of the line boxes I made!!!
    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??!!! I've spent numerous hours, tons of vinyl and four ruined shirts..........not to mention my sanity left me hours/days ago........
    Why is my cricut cutting through some of my actual design and not just the weeding lines??
    This would be my new favorite way to weed an intricate design ever if I could get it to work!!!
    PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!!
    Thank you very much!
    ~Christine - feeling crazy.

    Becky, I get to the point where I have to slice the writing with the first box. When I click on the gray corresponding box... what the heck do I do then? I have watched this video over and over but still can't figure out what it is you are doing or why you are doing it. You mention taking care to watch the boxes on the right but I'm still lost. Could you please, please help me with this? You are the only person that even touches on weeding 'lines' on the Cricut. The boxes are easy but the lines are still just not getting through this thick skull of mine. Help.

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  2 роки тому

      You want to then remove the grey, keep the white. It has to be done like this because you can only slice 2 objects at a time.
      The reason for doing this it to make the backing come off easier when weeding - it wouldn’t cut the letters at all.
