Dollar Tree has a pencil and paintbrush holder that holds 49 cricut pens and you can put the tip side down. I have 2 of them now. Well worth it. Thanks for the hacks video.
For Hack #4 tape the back before you add them to the mat :) for even cooler put the scraps at a 45 degree angle. LOVE this Video! My tip wax paper! Pull the backing off and add wax paper
Temu has the rolling wheels like the ones that you have on your maker for fairly cheap. Most product from them is really good. I have no complaints with the things I have ordered.
Loved the pen hack! I will definitely try that. Also really loved the scraps hack. What fun!! Can't wait to find a project to use that on! Also, really appreciated that you didn't gloss over that you didn't tape the leather piece down. It's moments like that that really stick and helps me to avoid those types of mistakes and frustration.
I love your tutorials, however, your background music is extremely annoying. You don't really hear the music, you just hear the thump, thump, thump, of the bass. I prefer no background music at all to be honest. It's distracting.
Knew about the weeding box and have been using it frequently but it's nice to have an alternative (offsetting) to the weeding box. Both are good and you can apply depending on the project as sometimes, certain projects lean toward the weeding box more. Thanks for the hacks!
I am such a newbie, so I really appreciated this video. I have a question about the fonts. Can u please explain about the option next to font named Style on Design space and how to use it, and what it does. My Style option is stuck on regular with a check mark. I enjoyed learning about offset because I just completed my first project which unfortunately I failed 3 times already because of choosing a smaller thinner font and weeding was impossible. Sadly I had to toss several attempts. I finally gave in and chose a much larger chunky font for a name. Thanks!!
Amazing hacks! I even learned how to change from cut to draw. Have been wondering about that. Love the scrap pieced Summer. What kind of vinyl do you use on your car?
for the offset weeding... if the a couple of the letters are a little close. You could always ungroup and spread them a bit until they're where you want them.
That link roller thing is genius! I have tons of those because I use lint rollers for many many things. Never thought about that vinyl sticky thing. Perfect and thanks for the tip on the little wheels. I'm so doing both of these hacks.
Thank you for this...I have a little joy ...one day I will try and buy me a big machine....but could you please tell me are you using a note pad or phone I stead of a computer as I do not have a computer and will try and get a samsung note ....I am 63 and starting all this and loving it so much thank you....
OK, something new for me, maybe you! Pull the end off of that weeding tool, put it in your other hand while weeding, use it to put the weeding scraps into!
For the weesing tip... What if you make the offset a bit bigger so most of them is touching, then you basically weed ot all at once. Or will it not work like that?
Crystal when I first saw you do this I was wondering is there a way of creating that same design for a shirt how would change the colors of the letters ?
Another trick for using scraps is to put transfer paper over top of it when it's cutting then all you have to do is pull the transfer paper off and it's weeded for you already!
I love all of these great tips. Thanks for sharing them. I will definitely be using all of them. My favorites are the weeding hack and using up the scraps.
Hey Jazzy! Yes, this was a fun video because everyone picked up on a tip that would be helpful for them. Thank you for watching and enjoy the rest of your week! - Dawn
Just watched this video again. Great hacks. I recently read about monoline fonts that don't print out as bubble text on the Cricut. They are AlwaysHere, Advertising Script Monoline Trial, Flamenco-Light, Matilde and Stymie Hairline Regular. All are free fonts to download. Worth testing these fonts. I did print them out on a Cricut Maker with good results.
Hi CrystalAnn, I am looking forward to trying the Offset hack..however in your video I thought you landed on 0.10 and not 0.30. can you confirm? And is the smaller number (Setting) making the letter or lines closer together? Thank you!
Honestly, I don't know why you say that these hacks are for cricut. They really apply to most cutting machines. I have a Cameo, and use most of these hacks. I do love the one about wheels! Glad I clicked on this video.
I love the offset font trick but for some reason it doesn't seem to work on any font for me. Everything is up to date and current but just doesnt work 😥. Love watching your videos, definitely have taught me a few things! 😃
I love this offset and weeding box tip! Thank you. I'm glad I saw your video. I have to admit I got so discouraged when I keep ruining my vinyl I put my Cricut away and never looked back. 😢 I just felt like crying, instead of being fun it became more of a frustration.
I loved the pen hack! Definitely a game changer. Question…is there a way to then cut out the writing so it looks like a die cut or sticker? I am a Cricut “newbie “. Thanks!
Ok update I’m so excited I did my summer with each letter a different color individually added the offset and then flatten it and printed it out on my sub printer im so exicited now I have to see how it comes out omg I wish I could show you thanks crystal ❤
The writing hack is awesome! There are some fonts that do not have a writing option, so that would be great for those. Wheels! I definitely need to get some of those! Thank you!
Some helpful information here! Have wheels in my Amazon cart but need clarification. Is the link you provided for the wheels used in your video or the ones that were in short supply (you mentioned they might be better)? Thanks!!
I loved this video. I especially loved the pen hack, I've been trying to perfect it ever since seeing this video, I would love to see a follow up video regarding using the offset. Ive been trying to get it to fill in like yours did and nada! But its such a great trick, I really want to perfect it. I've tried -0.040,-0,050 and so on and even higher/lower if you will. Please help, this hack is amazing!
Dollar Tree has a pencil and paintbrush holder that holds 49 cricut pens and you can put the tip side down. I have 2 of them now. Well worth it. Thanks for the hacks video.
Wow great tip Linda! Thank you for that! - Agata
Do you have a pic of holder?
If possoble give an item number!
@@denisebatalha3552 this thing is great for those cricut pens
Great tip. Can you describe it or upload a pic. What section of the store did you find it crafting?
For Hack #4 tape the back before you add them to the mat :) for even cooler put the scraps at a 45 degree angle. LOVE this Video! My tip wax paper! Pull the backing off and add wax paper
Ohhhhhh I love the angle tip!!! Thank you for sharing that!! - Dawn
I love that you added the "fail" and then tried again!!! Its super helpful to see the problem solving :)
Glad it was helpful! We started incorporating them for this reason exactly! So happy you find them useful! - Agata
I really like your energy! You keep it simple, energized and easy to follow ❤
Temu has the rolling wheels like the ones that you have on your maker for fairly cheap. Most product from them is really good. I have no complaints with the things I have ordered.
Ok, I have watched a lot of Cricut hacks but you seriously are my favourite. Getting to the point. Clear a day! Thank you!
Hi Jayne! Thank you for the feedback we are so happy you found these useful! - Agata
Thanks for the font fill in tip! Going to give it a try!!! So, if it asks for a second pen, you can have a 2-color word. Nice!!!
Amazing, right? It opens up so many more fonts! - Dawn
I love your tutorials, however, your background music is extremely annoying. You don't really hear the music, you just hear the thump, thump, thump, of the bass. I prefer no background music at all to be honest. It's distracting.
These are awesome. My fav was the pen hack!! The color combo one was great too. Thank you Crystal. Stay blessed love 🥰
Weeding hack. YES!
Wheels. YES! For my Gemini.
Love, love the writing hack! Never have I tried that before! ❤ gonna have to try it!
Hi Debi! So glad it was useful! - Agata

Hi Kathy! We would recommend permanent vinyl which will last longer in the heat and rain! - Dawn
for the offset weeding... if the a couple of the letters are a little close. You could always ungroup and spread them a bit until they're where you want them.
Yes, exactly! Thank you for sharing with the craft community Sharon! Enjoy your weekend and happy crafting - 🥰Dawn
Thank You So Much. Definitely love the Roller brush Idea Clever.
That link roller thing is genius! I have tons of those because I use lint rollers for many many things. Never thought about that vinyl sticky thing. Perfect and thanks for the tip on the little wheels. I'm so doing both of these hacks.

With the "Baking is My Love Language" you did forgot a piece where the "E" is.
What size pen did you use ? I followed exactly and didn’t get the same results. I’m thinking the size of the tip makes a difference
OK, something new for me, maybe you! Pull the end off of that weeding tool, put it in your other hand while weeding, use it to put the weeding scraps into!
For the weesing tip... What if you make the offset a bit bigger so most of them is touching, then you basically weed ot all at once. Or will it not work like that?
wOMAN! You love the sound of your voice. Make it short and concise. You talk waaaaay too much.
Pen hack was awesome! Also loved using the scrap colors!!!
Doesn't that just eliminate all but the green mats? Just put transfer tape down first for anything.
Can you draw, say a dog with cricut, I'd love to try do a pic of my poodle, thanks
Hello can the pen and using this text ..be done on the joy as well....thank you.
If you are sticking the leather to transfer tape then theoretically any colour mat should work
I’m new to the maker. Love the pen hack but thought the scrap hack was good
Crystal when I first saw you do this I was wondering is there a way of creating that same design for a shirt how would change the colors of the letters ?
I can’t make the pen hack work. It draws two separate layers rather than fill in the text!
Just the other day wondering if there was a way to fill in fonts so this video was totally needed!
Favorites are the offset and using your vinyl scraps.. thanks for a great video!
Yes! That design was perfect for the summer wording! - Dawn
Another trick for using scraps is to put transfer paper over top of it when it's cutting then all you have to do is pull the transfer paper off and it's weeded for you already!
Smart!! Thank you Kelsey for sharing! - Dawn
I love all of these great tips. Thanks for sharing them. I will definitely be using all of them. My favorites are the weeding hack and using up the scraps.
Great Video. Thanks (you say “go ahead and” a-lot haha.
Thanks, these are very helpful to know.
This makes me excited to use the pens and scraps.
Hey Jazzy! Yes, this was a fun video because everyone picked up on a tip that would be helpful for them. Thank you for watching and enjoy the rest of your week! - Dawn
Wow, the negative off set is so much better than other suggestions. Definitely going to try.

Love the weeding hack and the pen offset hack. Will definitely give these a try. Thanks for sharing.
Hi CrystalAnn, I am looking forward to trying the Offset hack..however in your video I thought you landed on 0.10 and not 0.30. can you confirm? And is the smaller number (Setting) making the letter or lines closer together? Thank you!
I was told the wheels would invalidate the waranty
Honestly, I don't know why you say that these hacks are for cricut. They really apply to most cutting machines.
I have a Cameo, and use most of these hacks. I do love the one about wheels! Glad I clicked on this video.
Love your videos! Wondering if you think the scrap pieces hack would work with HTV?
I love the offset font trick but for some reason it doesn't seem to work on any font for me. Everything is up to date and current but just doesnt work 😥. Love watching your videos, definitely have taught me a few things! 😃
Hack #1 contact paper is cheaper than transfer tape.
Loved this video! Just started using my cricut yesterday. I can’t stop staring at your earrings!! I need them! Can you post a link to make these??
I love this offset and weeding box tip! Thank you. I'm glad I saw your video. I have to admit I got so discouraged when I keep ruining my vinyl I put my Cricut away and never looked back. 😢 I just felt like crying, instead of being fun it became more of a frustration.
Weeding on the Cricut (or off brand) mat will help hold vinyl in place and also prevent any curling of vinyl
Hey Lilith! Thank you! That is a great tip, especially for new Cricut users! - Dawn 😊
I just take my xacto knife and cut around words or lines before weeding. Very fast and works well.
Great tip Linda! - Agata
I loved the pen hack! Definitely a game changer. Question…is there a way to then cut out the writing so it looks like a die cut or sticker?
I am a Cricut “newbie “.
Thanks!
Would the last hack also work with htv?
Pen hack....my favorite.....I'm going to use it always!!!
My favorite was the offset pen hack. But, they were all great. Thanks, Crystal.
Hi Cynthia! Thank YOU for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of your day! - Dawn
Holy Cow! I just used the offset hack for fine font cutting. Its a miracle and dream!
All of these are so good but I probably wouldn't do the 1st one unless I could get inexpensive transfer tape.
Not to be rude you remind me of simply naillogical ❤❤❤btw ur pretty
Thank you for the kind words! I'm sending them over to Crystal now!! - Dawn 🙂
That weeding hack is everything, I can't wait to try it!
Great hacks on all of them. Favorite is the offset, that one was very helpful. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Hi! So glad it was helpful to you! - Agata
I love them All the pen hack was GREAT, THANK YOU
For the wheels you could also diy them by repurposing old "roll on" bottles, like the roll on oils from Dollar Tree.
Hey Antonia! We didn't even think of this! Thank you for sharing!- Dawn
Ok update I’m so excited I did my summer with each letter a different color individually added the offset and then flatten it and printed it out on my sub printer im so exicited now I have to see how it comes out omg I wish I could show you thanks crystal ❤
What transfer tape do you use.?
Will definitely try hack #2. I’ve wasted three rolls of permanent vinyl cutting and weeding small words
Thank you for all your videos Crystal!! Always explain so clearly! And thank you for keeping your fail in there! It happens to us all! ❤
Hi! I just sent it over to Crystal it will make her day! So glad you enjoy our videos! - Agata
I think that the using your scraps was my favorite hack. But I also like the hack with putting wheels on your Cricut.
LOVE LOVE the colors of your work room :) Thank you so much for all these hacks! I didn't know any of them haha and can't wait to try them.
Thank you so much Janet! - Dawn
Does it work for joy cards?
Thank you for showing the hack for filling in text! AMAZING!!!! Definitely a game changer!!
Yes! Everyone loved that one! Thank you for watching with us today! - Dawn
Thank you for your hacks. I just brought a cricut joy and new at how things work.
What is the keyboard you have next to your phone 📱 I guess or tablet?
Hi Melissa! That's the Apple Magic Trackpad - Dawn
It won’t ask you to load the pen if you make them the same color 😊
Good point! - Agata
The writing hack is awesome! There are some fonts that do not have a writing option, so that would be great for those. Wheels! I definitely need to get some of those! Thank you!
Hi Lisa! So glad you liked those! The pen hack was a game-changer for me when Crystal showed it! - Agata
My cricut transfer tape has a line every half inch, so saying they all have a line every inch isn’t correct for everyone
That’s why she said it’s a siser one…
How do you get the free fonts
I have the wheels and I love them. Done the weeding hack and they work great
So happy you like them! - Agata
How have I not heard of a weeding box?? That is so helpful.
What type of keyboard and tablet are you using?
Hi Tulanni! It's an Apple Magic Trackpad! - Dawn
🤗🤗I’m new to cricut can some tell me how to edit print and cut.
Hi there! If you can, send an email with the image to mail@designbundles.net and we can help! - Dawn
I loved the writing with pens as well as using scraps for a word. Wonderful hacks.
Love the writing hack filling in, WOW TYFS
Regarding the first tip, can you do that with the blue mat as well?
Great video and I LOVE the lighting in your video, its easy on the eyes
Thanks for the pen info!!! Struggling with the fill!!
The pen hack was the best I really needed to know this!!!!!Thanks
Wow 😍 I love the pen hack. My new favorite.
So happy it was helpful! - Agata
Really liked the offset idea!!! So good for so much!!!
Hi Debbie! We're glad we could help today! - Dawn
Great tip with the offset, I've not seen that one before.
Hi Lynne! So glad it was helpful! - Agata
I loved them ALL!! I'll be trying all of them
Where can I get that delightful font? I love it~
Hi Tina! It's a free font called Timberly: fontbundles.net/free-fonts/script-fonts/timberly?ref=QXHMpk - Dawn
Great video 👍🌷☘🌹🌵🏵🌺
You just gave me a great idea for my scraps 👍🏼
Why waste 12x12 transfer sheet? Just make slightly bigger than leather piece? But good tip
That's a good thought too! - Dawn
Some helpful information here! Have wheels in my Amazon cart but need clarification. Is the link you provided for the wheels used in your video or the ones that were in short supply (you mentioned they might be better)? Thanks!!
Hi Pam! The link in the description are for the wheels that are used on the Cricut machine in the video - Dawn 🙂
I love your positive energy and your detailed explanations ❤
Thank you so much!
What keyboard are you using
Hi there! Are you referring to the Apple Trackpad for the mouse? - Dawn
Hey there! Can you send a picture of your screen to mail@designbundles.net? We can help figure get this offset working correctly for you! - Dawn
U can put a sewing 🪡 in the back of a 0.7mm mechanical ✏️ and have a perfect weeding tool
That is so smart! Thank you for sharing that tip with us! - Dawn
Great tips/hacks -- the zoom-in/out and the reference to "this guy" gets a little overused.
Thank you for your feedback, Mary! - Dawn
Thank you so much for all your sharing!!!
