As a nonbinary person I truly appreciate your pointing out that we come in a wide array of appearances. There's not one way to be masculine, feminine, androgynous or however you express gender :) And I love how these portraits turned out!!
watching this to calm myself before my therapy session lmao also i would just like to say that i really like the way you draw male presenting people, i feel like you can balance the masculine and feminine aspects of the figure v well !!
I truly appreciate you and loved that you where pushing yourself to do male portraits even though they arent your favorite to do. I smudge my watercolors cause i use pencil but sometimes i enjoy the muddy look. The face shapes were my favorite and i love that you make a point about having intention when you practice a certain method! AND i love a photo reference!
12:09 this is so so true! When I use photo references I definitely branch out more with makeup, color palettes, and outfit designs. My imagination is very basic when it comes to creative things like that. I love using references for that kind of stuff! 💖
Whatever you draw, it's perfection to my eyes. Love your style and colour combinations. It's week 3 of surgery recovery for me and you better believe I've been binging your videos. Can't wait for your shop to reopen!
These Boiz skin is so smooth. They need to release their skin care routine, I am jealous. Great job as always. I love the way you layered the pencils on the watercolor and especially those deep blue shadows on the second portrait.
Ur my favorite artist on yt bc I love ur drawing style, u include a lot of diversity, ur an ally of the lgbt community, u read all of ur comments, and ur just really cool and nice in general 😊💗
Tina, I so enjoyed this video. You are truly talented. I have a series idea for you. Would love to see YOUR interpretation of the Greek gods and goddesses i.e..Athena, Aphrodite, Ares, Hades, Zeus, Artemis.
Your welcome, I always look for forward to seeing what you create your videos make me happy so thank you for giving your all in every video it's probably difficult to always post every Friday but as your fan I want you to know that I appreciate it very much and if you ever need to take break don't hesitate to give your self one
I loveee how you incorperate different colors in your art! It makes it very lively and gorgeous! I agree with you About the photo reference, but I think you can’t trace! If you ask me you can studie an artist though, but if you’re gonna post it you have to credit them. Again, i love your art!
When she said the only surefire way. My mind went straight to Katya saying: And I'm the only surefire way to disengage your temporomandibular joint, DOCTOR BITCHCRAFT! And other I love how she draw the eyes of the first caracter just beutifull
The whole "going into polish perfectionist mode" I HAVE THE SAME THING. Even when I say OH Imma do it loose today I end up doing smth detailed because...I can't do it any other way XD Love the video!!
Ik i've probably said this before but I love love love your sketchbook layouts, they're so clean and pretty with how you arrange things. I definitely feel like doing fan art has caused me to draw guys more haha. On the contrary, when I draw my male OCs I noticed I tend to lean towards more feminine features like long hair or jewelry and looking dainty/pretty. But there's also things I like to incorporate that seem more masculine like sharp intimidating eyes or muscles and undercuts. Honestly it's a spectrum and it's so fun to play with and let loose without feeling any restrictions of how someone's "supposed" to look. But oof when I first tried drawing guys it was hilarious because I felt so confused at their bodies, it definitely pays off to practice!
I love that!! I totally agree that there is a spectrum and that traditionally feminine and masculine traits are available for everyone! Male bodies is definitely hard for me too! It always feels so stiff haha!
Some great advice as usual! Personally, I struggle with drawing/painting men as I think a lot of artists do (and as u mentioned) and I think for me it's a practice thing. I started drawing women because I identify as one and thus could relate and sort of draw idealised versions of myself when I was a kid, and then I just never really stopped, and I never practised men because I was too absorbed w women. Love your work and your words as always.
I totally agree! I think that with the women I draw, they're like an extension of myself or a way for me to live vicariously through them But it can be fun to find ways to bring who you are to unexpected subjects too!
I love these! So good to see a spectrum of masc. portraits. Gonna have to go practice drawing some more as I definitely don't do it as much as I want to, about to take a week's holiday from work and am so inspired to practice practice and practice some more!
I was literally watching the other videos when you mentioned that you will finale portraits soon and where people asked why you only drew female portraits lol.
Fantastic artwork! Very beautiful. I thought you were wonderful. Stay connected and stay safe!! I respect you I have learned a lot from your work. My friend. 👍
These are beautiful! And I love the advice. Thank you! I started out drawing women characters when I was a kid and it's still my favorite. But I want to definitely practice and integrate illustrating males more into my art practice.
hey Tina! i love your drawing style it inspires me to continue drawing 🌺 can you do a drawing like a princess from fantasy world with an elf kinda look. idk if i explained it well but that kinda vibe lol. love you 🌸
I always like your choice of colors ! I always draw female faces as it looks more familiar to me. But I should try to jump out my comfort zone. You have inspired me 😃 By the way, your nails rocks.
Kinda crazy but I’ve been thinking about drawing more male portraits and I’ve also really been wanting to try water color because I got a set for Christmas but I haven’t used it yet because it’s so intimidating but this makes me feel like experimenting and messing up is okay, so thank you🥰❤️ Sorry if that didn’t make any sense
Imawonder: *talking about not putting eyelashes on her male portraits* _Me whose male characters have more dramatic eyelashes than my women characters:_ 👁👄👁
in life drawing class at one college we only had female models, thought it was letting down the students who had not drawn the male form since CIS males can be built differently than CIS females and drawing them requires different lines and shapes. im glad i had the chance to draw both forms, comes in handy now when i draw characters or do male portraits. older models, pregnant models and people that identify in different ways would have been great for life drawing too
I would actually love to see eyelashes on drawings of men since most men I come across seem to have longer lashes. Anyways, I still loved it, and your tips
As a nonbinary person I truly appreciate your pointing out that we come in a wide array of appearances. There's not one way to be masculine, feminine, androgynous or however you express gender :) And I love how these portraits turned out!!
That truly makes me so happy to hear!! I absolutely wanted to be sure I respected the fact there is no limitations to people's self expression

Aw haha yay! Glad to keep you company :)
I want to see fanarts!
I've never been this early to a video in my life lol😄
Can you make a video of how to draw facial features, please?
One thing I always have trouble with when I draw men is I tend to have trouble with drawing whiskers like mustache and beards and all that.
Any tips?
This is my favorite subject matter and what I draw the most, because of that I find drawing male characters much easier than women.
❤️
I was washing dishes
But not anymore
💙💙💙
You really can’t mess up your art do you
Haha oh gosh I wish! I only show the nice artwork online :P
i like your nails
Wow. I love this, I'm one of the persons that only draws male characters
