For anyone who's struggling with art blocks or ideas, do what she's doing in the video. Starting with a paintbrush or blobs on a page frees your imagination and gives the confidence to push forward and not worry about making something amazing.
@@louizeantiplastique4581 art is a very hard subject to define, but it's watercolor and an illustration therefore it's art. Have you heard of surrealism? They tend to use these techniques to come with ideas. It's basically a sketch
@@berserker3414 oh yes i just recently went through the subject in my philosophy of art course! Actually before surrealism, in 1785, Alexander Consens stimulated invention by using « accidental » stains to form landscapes :) also Leonardo da Vinci advised apprentice painters to observe spots on a wall and find images, battles, faces! So interesting :)
I used to do this kind of thing when I was a kid, but gave up drawing in high school because of stress. This video really makes me want to get back into it, like it reminded me how fun it used to be
I love doing these!! Sometimes you are so focused on doing super polished and meaningful pieces you forgot about the joy of letting the flow go and doing real sketches. We are too obsessed with posting super pro art all the time when you should draw for yourself as well, without posting it. Great job.
I had consumed thousands of hours watching art videos but never did I see something like this. Coloring and painting and then doing the lines make me want to do it now.
Oooooh its kinda like the blob challenge! I love it. This looks like a fun thing to help with art block and get the ideas flowing. Definitely gonna try this today! ❤️ Also i LOVE the color that the fish is! Soo pretty
I am SO hooked on this technique! Being that I have a serious personal penchant for "Paradolia" It keeps my mind flooded with ideas in a constant way! And I don't get gobsmacked for hours looking at the thousands of recognizable things I see in the green & white marble vinyl floor tiles in my MIL's spare bathroom every time I go in there! Thanks Ashiya! You have led me to what nourishes my creativity and joy!
It’s beautiful how we can only capture flashes of other people’s personalities, and we try to create an image of them, just like giving shape to a blur of watercolor.
The most peaceful thing about this is that it doesn't even have music with it. I can't believe I would say something like this after having invested so much of my life in creating music! God...Well, now I know what music really is.
Draw what you see! Hirameki - 'brainwave' or 'flash of inspiration' in Japanese - is where doodling and imagination come together. Simply put, it's the art of turning a random blot into something amazing, just by adding a few dots and lines
this technique is soooo good to get out of art block!! i love either doing this or drawing a random scribble and then trying to turn it into a sketch :)
I might have to try this. Just put watercolour blobs down and see what I can see and just draw little doodles. I struggle with getting too into my head so it would be a nice thing to do to get the ideas flowing.
Love this so much! I do something like this only I've been trying to make something of the exact shape the watercolor disburses into! I see a lot o dragons! But this is taking me into a whole different direction! Thank you for sharing!
This looks so much fun to do! It's amazing how we all interpret blobs and shapes differently. On top of the girls head I could see the perfect shape of a goat with horns, and you turned it into a kitty, and I interpreted the shape that you turned into a fish, as a parrot with a beak and a crest on it's head. Thankyou, this was a really enjoyable video. T C 💛💜😄
I didn't realize there was a name for this! I love going back on paper I was using to test watercolor paints on and turning the blobs into different little drawings, just letting my imagination tell me what the shapes look like. Ö now I know it's a thing! Lolol
I used to do this in my highschool, during the lectures, and I didn't really now that it was a form of art until now. This is such a beautiful and a peaceful video. Love this and your creativity.❤️

One rule only: *Be BORED*
That’s when imagination comes to life :)
My best ideas come forth when I am drawing without thinking of making a masterpiece.
@@capuchinosofia4771 Exactly
i get most ideas when it’s 4 am and i haven’t finished homework

I love how sweetly the cat featured itself. And the artists didn't even try the least to remove that very clip.

Happens to many. And the funny thing is that drawing is actually a good stress reliever.

try to turn it into something.
