I like the retro 60's/70's vibe, but also it seems super delicious? Fashion Magazine covers? Valentines Chocolates ads covers? These ladies could do it all! Love your design and colour choices as usual
I broke my wrist recently so I haven’t been able to draw but in order to help the urge I’ve been watching your videos, and it’s helped me a lot. I use art to help calm myself down so I just wanted to let you know your videos have been an immense help during this time. Thank you 🙏💙.
I’m so scared to draw clothing but your drawings inspired me to just give it a try. I’m so use to drawing naked figures because of my life drawing class but I know I have to try something new. I have 2 questions: 1:) how are you liking you’re sketchbook? I have ohuhu markers that I’ve used like 2 years ago and I feel it’s time to try markers again. 2:) do you use references to see how the clothing works well with certain body movement you draw ?
I don't like drawing clothing much because of all the folds you have to draw and shade! Also, I'm not Tina but I tried one of those sketchbooks but didn't like it- the paper has a grayish smooth but not glossy feeling that just rubbed me the wrong way.
I personally really like this sketchbook (I have a review of it linked in the description) Sometimes I use references yes but like life drawing everything takes practise!
Ahhhh markers always trip me out every time I use them since they look so different when they’re wet!! But I love what you’ve done with them here! ❤️ the colour palettes are so gorgeous, and the outfits? Girl... beautiful. As I always say, I love to see you creating new things and pushing boundaries! ❤️
It definitely can be confusing! This particular paper looks drastically more different when the ink is wet than other papers I've tried - but it's good to just do little swatches just in case! Thanks so much
These illustrations are beautiful and the sentiment is fantastic. I totally agree that your references should be an amalgamation of your personal preferences, things that inspire one person might not inspire another. Not to mention that it's perfectly acceptable, even good, to be inspired by an artist, but not necessarily to be inspired by what inspires them - in the case of the latter, you're only shaping yourself to be a copy of another artist, rather than being your own person and creator. But I also think that sort of thing comes with age and maturity, so I think it's really insightful of you to be expressing this POV now, to what I imagine is at least partly a young, suggestible audience. I am always so blown away by influencers who seem to truly embrace the position of a role model without being soap-boxy about it, and use their platform for such good in the art community. I probably shouldn't be surprised at this point though lol, you never do anything other, and I appreciate that so much. 💕
YES absolutely - very well said! In the age of social media I think that a lot of young/new artists become so accustomed to instant gratification, but things really do take time - both your skills and your interests! It wasn't my intention to be a role-model per say but I do hope that my personal insight can help others in their art journeys! Thanks so much for the lovely comment!
GURL, you and me BOTH. I get spooked WAY to easily. I have only seen the first four episodes of stranger things and the whole time I was hiding behind my friend. I’ve been too scared to finish the rest of the series.
yep, its a good idea to look into art history even if it isnt really your style you prob will find something you like. im not a fan of surrealism, but i can understand and see why it was so important and with some of my art i would one day want to focus more on my unconscious mind and see what happens
This was so nice and chill to draw along to! We really are alike in loving the valentines aesthetic hahaha, it's already march but I'm still soooo tempted to continue drawing in reds pinks and whites and ribbons and frills. Maybe I should anyway, after all who's gonna stop me??! But yeah I agree about the whole inspiration thing, It's kind of like asking someone about their style. These things come naturally because they're apart of you. I feel like if you overthink it or try to analyze it too much then you won't see it, but if you continue to surround yourself with what you enjoy or are curious about then you start to notice like "oh yeah, maybe I do like drawing cute things because I like puppies and flowers". It's kind of like a form of uniqueness that can't be artificially created. This spread turned out soooo cute and it reminds me to play with layouts more in my sketchbook ^^ Now I will have cute girls in nice clothes in my mind all day lol thanks
Absolutely agree!! Also yes you totally should just carry on with the Valentines aesthetic, pink is appropriate all year long in my books!! Glad you liked the video!
currently re-watching some of your videos again and i loved that you kept this video in a way that (like you said) allowed others to evaluate what inspires them i feel that is definitely more effective than just saying all specific things that inspire you. You love art and have so much experience from different art mediums having you as an art teacher would be awesome lol. Ik you said your not exactly one to create tutorials and teach in that way necessarily but i still enjoy learning different things and getting inspired through watching your process!
That rose tho 🌹.. the woman sitting is so feminine and dainty* beautiful composition too* theres some elements of fashion design in ur inspiration ✨ which i love💘 yeah pinterest boards could be personal*ive been gone for a while, but nice to see ur beautiful work once again ^_^ hugs to u friend
Another great video, Tina, thanks for sharing your thoughts 💖 Its reassuring to find such a successful artist has the same sources of inspiration as us mere mortals 😊 It also lovely to see Promarkers making an appearance, I think they have some wonderful subtle tones and smooth coverage, and I don't mind the bullet tip at all. xxx
Don't really have a preference to be honest! My Ohuhu's have a brush nib which is nice but Winsor & Newton make a brush nib too (I just don't have it) Thanks so much!
There was an internet interruption but no one can stop me from watching your video! Sorry for the delay Queen, great art as always and I hope you have a wonderful day ahead of you!🇵🇭
Ahhh so beautiful! You work is so inspiring to me and your style is just beautiful. I strictly worked with graphite and did realism (high school art really made me think you can only do one thing well), and now I want to work with coloured mediums and draw more similarly to your style and I just can't seem to do it. Hopefully if I keep practicing it'll happen, but until then I'll watch you kick butt at it!
Definitely with you on taking your own references using yourself, I always joke that you're not a real artist if you don't owe an embarrassing photo file of yourself you needed for reference! 😂
i love watching these sketchbook videos and your sketches are stunning! Question tho, have you ever made / are you planning to make like a zine dedicated for your sketchbook pages that you really like? Cause I would love to have a copy of it 🥺💕 i just loooove your sketchbook spreads / pages
This is the only one that I have but I've heard from some people that there is manufacturing inconsistencies but I don't have first hand experience of it unfortunately

Ahh haha thank you so much!!
I love the heart earrings and hair on that girl!! 🥺💞
Thanks so much!

The colors are so cute! Reminds me of Valentine chocolate 💖
Haha totally! Thank you
Omg the stickers are gorgeous
I love 💞the girl with the bangs because the facial expression is some what to my facial expression😅😅. Also love your stickers!!❤️
Aw haha love that! Thanks so much
Sooo pretty! Loved the color scheme!
Ps: For some reason, all i can see is Beyoncé as the girl in blazers
Thanks so much!
After I finished the drawing it also made me think of Beyonce haha!

@@imawonder I think that the best role models are the ones who don't consider themselves one, but just spread good values and practices. 😊
GURL, you and me BOTH. I get spooked WAY to easily. I have only seen the first four episodes of stranger things and the whole time I was hiding behind my friend. I’ve been too scared to finish the rest of the series.
AW haha - admittedly I was able to watch Stranger Things that's probably my threshold. But other horror movies even the trailers, nope!
I love your style! It's amazing! I love watching these premieres when I'm doing art....😊
Aw thanks so much, I love that!!
Thank you for sharing your ideas, this was interesting to watch :)

I need to work on my photo library myself its been way too long lol. Great work and video btw!
You can do it!
Your sketchbook video makes me want to try traditional art again but I'm really rusty 😭💜
Aw you can do it!! It's super fun!
i love watching these sketchbook videos and your sketches are stunning! Question tho, have you ever made / are you planning to make like a zine dedicated for your sketchbook pages that you really like? Cause I would love to have a copy of it 🥺💕 i just loooove your sketchbook spreads / pages
Thank you so much!
Oooh I never even thought of that! But I actually really love that idea, I'll keep that in mind when I gather up enough spreads!

💜💜💜💜💜💜
Hello Tina! We would love to collaborate with you! :)
The saddest thing about me is I'm only good at drawing when I'm bored 🥲
Que sad ser de Latinoamérica y no entender nada xd
