After my husbands suicide I couldn’t even shower no way I could have got home from a foreign country after going thru something so horrible ! 🕊🌱🕊 being a widow makes a women very very vulnerable I wasn’t aware how vulnerable and made a few very strange decisions before realizing what was happening . I was easily manipulated and looking for the best in people .
So very lonely. Your comment reminds me of my Stepmum after we lost my Dad. Her vulnerability frightened me. People did take advantage.

Yes I was the same after my husbands suicide. I made the decision not to make any stupid mistakes but my head was so mazed I am afraid I did. Just not the ones I had expected.
I fully fully appreciate what you are going through and it's so so difficult. I just don't understand this guy's reaction even if he was trying to fake it
God! I went through exactly the same experience! I did so many dangerous and risky decisions after my partner commited suicide. The person I got into a relationship with knew exactly how to manipulate the situation and use me, my money and my trust. Took years and PTSD to relearn all that bs
I think this was actually one of the more shocking crimes with his attitude!
I lost my partner of cancer and I feel like I am still dying myself with the grief!
This was all over money and greed and he is evil.

Helen sounds like an incredible, caring woman! She had found love again and wanted to give him everything. She was a writer so she would of spent so much time fantasing & planning her future with this man! It's so sad.

I lived in Royston not long after this and used to go passed their house when walking my Dog on The Heath. Very chilling seeing the house (Hartwell Lodge) when you knew what went on there, spine tingling.

Also - did you see the tribute to him in the front of her book When Bad Things Happen In Good Bikinis. Made me so angry

Hi Emma. This particular video has memories of my own sister's death here in New Zealand way back in 1991. It's the mention of the pillow that does it as my sister was discovered dead in the family car, in their garage, and she had a pillow with her. When she met her husband he spun her and everyone else a b.s story that his parents had been killed in Sth Africa during a wildlife expedition. But it turned out his parents and siblings were all alive and well and living in the North Island. He had changed his name when they met and disowned his family. My sister and him married and had 2 sons who were 10 and 14 at the time of her death, and I believe he was having an affair. He's a very selfish person, and since her inquest he has deliberately kept the boys from ever seeing any of our family and moved around quite a bit. He's also now on his 3rd marriage. I have always been suspicious about it being suicide, but it is way too late now to look into it. Kind regards from Chrissie.

This such a tragic story on so many levels. First of all had a proper investigation been done in regards to Diane Ian would have been imprisoned, justice would have been done and Helen would have met possibly a far more wholesome person who would have helped her through her grief and genuinely loved her. Also Helen was merely 47 years old so who knows how many more great books she would have written. And let us not forget poor little Boris who is also a victim in all of this. Indeed I daresay Boris loved Helen far more than that pathetic excuse for a fiancee did! Also the loss of Helen's first husband in a freak accident because not only did she lose the genuine love of her life but also the unintended consequence of her reaching out for a companion in her grief resulted in the freak loss of her own life too and in such barbaric circumstances.

My 4yo looked me dead in the eye the other night while I was sitting next to him as he hid some cars and other toys under his bed cover for him to play with in his bed instead of going to sleep and then legit said to me “there’s nothing under my cover, don’t look at it, there’s nothing like toys or anything under there” 😂😂😂😂 I mean I love this kid and how smart he is blows my mind sometimes and I’m in awe at him…and then he does this and I’m like 🤦♀️😂

Hi Emma. I am watching you a day late due to my epilepsy playing about with my brain waves last night! I used to watch a certain TV show with you and Fred in religiously but don't remember this one. I suppose I could blame my epilepsy fog for that, yes I do have a sense of humour about it otherwise I would cry. But can I ask you one itsy bitsy favour please and some people may say I'm being sensitive or whatever but hey I live with this hidden disability and I see it as teaching. They are no longer called 'fits' we call them seizures because that's what our brain's do they seize. But was super shocked they put it straight down to SUDEP. Emma you were amazing when I used to watch you, even better now because you have that freedom of speech and time. Well done to yourself and Pete x
@Ayenicci thank you. The brain is an amazing piece of our body but unfortunately can also be annoying. I have more bad than good, I am non aura and refractory. Recently been implanted with a vagal nerve stimulator. So Sunday and Wednesday nights I have my cup of tea in my "is it just me mug" and demand Mumma Bear not to be disturbed. As weird as it may sound I find Emma's videos very calming. When I was a child I wanted to do what she does so that's probably why. Well from E-Warrior to another I hope you're keeping safe 💜
What an awful man. Not one wife but two. They clearly meant nothing to him at all. He murdered his kids’ mother and would’ve got away with it if he hadn’t done it again. What he did to Helen and Boris’ bodies was disgusting. I hope they rest in peace along with Diane.

Emma - superb research and delivery of this awfully tragic case. I’ve got a Dashchund who is very loved and I can hardly bear to think of the terror that little innocent dog who had known only love went through. And those wonderful women who were murdered and discarded so barbarically is beyond comprehension. For you, Wendy I’m so happy you got the truth officially but you knew he had killed her. Those poor boys having to face the grief and horror of the way their mother died all over again and to realize that their father is a monster. They have lost the father they thought they knew - so another parent they have lost. I hope they get the expert help they will need. And finally, I hope the professionals listen to the family and see the red flags in future cases and learn from this. If they had listened to Wendy and seen the glaringly obvious inconsistencies surrounding Diane’s death and not listened to Ian Stewart so much more heartache would have been spared but most importantly, as you said Emma, Helen Bailey would probably still be alive. This is very scary. It reminds me of a movie I saw recently. Two women go on a romantic trip together, in the country. Standing at the edge of a cliff, one's expression goes completely blank and they just push their partner straight off the cliff.

Please do Myra Hindley soon. I know so much about the case and my aunt worked on the prison ward with her. But I’m so interested to see what you bring to it, as as far as I know, no real video footage exists in the public domain of her, so it’s harder to gage her as a person, hoping your psychological skills can add to it somehow. she’s very hard to understand for many, and yet the most fascinating.
yeah the Moors Murders would be one case to cover, close to home for her tho, but i think she would do a great job of a deep dive into this case… love and admire Emma’s empathy and constant sensitivity to each case she presents. she’s the best!! ❤

Hey Emma I was reading a true crime book recently and one of the investigators who helped solve The Helen Bailey case also helped solve this case. Indeed I'd love to see u cover this case in one of your videos. It happened in Tipperary in Ireland a few years ago. It concerned the murder of a local DJ and Father. His name was Bobby Ryan, also known as 'Mr Moonlight'. He was murdered by Pat Quirke and his body was also hidden in a hidden septic tank and he lay there undiscovered for almost 2 years.

I heard Eleanor Neal tell this case when Diane's death was first being re-examined. Now I'm listening to you tell it again and while my heart ached and is still hurting at the deaths and the horrific details of the deaths of Diane and Helen, I was so pleased to hear that Diane's case got a trial. And to hear that Ian was found guilty, that this HEINOUS man received a FULL LIFE TERM had my pumping my fist in the air. He was already likely to die before getting out but now it's guaranteed that he will rot and I hope Diane and Helen haunt him in his cell, I hope their ghosts smother him in life the way he smothered the life out of them.
Thank you for telling this case. So many things about it connected strongly with me the first time I heard of it and while I consider every senseless murder to be a death in vain I'm comforted and assured by the fact that the justice brought about for Helen's death also brought about justice for Diane. May these two women, two beautiful souls, rest in peace and in power.

Finally after so many many cases, and so so many years, true justice in this case was served. Unfortunately true justice is rare.

His soulless eyes, dark and self absorbing. They'd dart back and forth when challenged with eye contact. "You killed her dog too!" I stated, rather than asked. "I didn't do it" he'd reply deeply entrenched in his own pitiful denial. I walked away and left him in his cell.
He's a killer in denial and should never be released whilst he pleads his innocence!

I drive down their road everyday as live in area and it gives me chills. And Boris was so sad he got caught up with an evil man like that but at least Helen is with him together as she adored him 😞❤️ well done on explaining this case about a brilliant woman and his poor first wife.

Your great Emma . I am a 65 yr old woman, from Vancouver Island Canada 🇨🇦 where the Rena Verk case was . It was extremely shocking at the time .I recall at the time the new was interviewing some kids grime Shoreline school. The boy being interviewed was 11 . He said ;well Rena lied a lot , like she deserved what she got ! I was even more shocked 😮 I had a son of nine at the time . We had just escaped an abusive marriage in Essex a year ago . My so is now 41 and a kind and man

I was on holiday in Barbados at the time her husband died. We heard about it on the news. So heartbreaking to lose one husband in tragic circumstances, then be murdered by the fiance.
