I watched Urgen Lama Play for Thimpu 11 in Kathmandu.. MiNi was the star player along with Khare Basnet … His Skills were exemplary.. though being surrounded by so many opponents he would always find a way past them .. small in stature but outstanding with his feet .. it was a pleasure to watch him live in tournaments like Birthday Cup and Tribhuwan Challenge Shield .. 🙏❤️⚽️ … salute to the magician Urgen Lama … 🫡
Before we knew Maradona, we knew Mini. As a child saw him numerous times playing in Kathmandu. My first impression of a real class player - Thank you Mini dai for inspiring generations to kick the ball !!

Humble individual and gem of a player of good old days. Correctly pointed out of Indian football being Calcutta centric in those days. If it were not for that there would have been many like him from the hills and north east. He was joy to watch and definitely would be darling in the eyes of the public whereever he played.
