Kalimpong Police crowned champion of Sukuna Gold Cup
Kalimpong Police defeated United Kurseong FC by a narrow 1-0 margin to claim the title of the 17th Sukuna Gold Cup Football Tournament 2024 organized by Sukuna Games & Sports Association and supported by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, GTA at Sukuna High School Playground on Saturday 27, January 2024.
In the nail biting final clash both teams took off the game very competitively but Saptak Sherpa of Kalimpong side managed to fire in a perfect shot from outside the box when he caught the rivals' keeper napping.
The latter part of the game witnessed both teams gearing up for more goals but defence line on both walls managed to block number of attempts while many shots proved too wide or went straight into the hands of the keepers.
