im always really nervous to put out vlog-like content. i hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it :)
It's cool we like it every once in a while but keep the reactions as the main thing
Alex Hefner bro, I been asking forever for you to react to Stone Sour-gone sovereign absolute zero!! I honestly think it would revive ur awesome love for Corey Taylor!! been a hefnerd for awhile and I absolutely love ur videos and appreciate all the hard work you put into them 🙌
Alex Hefner I'm enjoying it very much you should make more
Love this stuff man!
Can't wait to see your vlog videos. I love your reaction videos they are so dope and i love how hard you work to put out amazing content for us so with that i say thank you so much. And could you please react to everything is wrong by all that remains? The guitarist from all that remains passed away today rest in peace also could you react to fuck love by all that remains or the best ones lie brand new song by disturbed that would be so dope as I've bern having a really rough week and your videos always brighten my day. Hope you have a dope ass day brah💜
Metal is what I give credit, at least in part, to saving my life. Discovered it as an angry youth after losing my dad and then again as a parent in a horrible marriage. Welcome to our community, young man and good luck on your future endeavors. Love you channel. \m/
I agree with you that metalheads are really nice, genuine. and kind people. We have been judged on a daily basis and I think that is the main reason we are that way. Most of us hate the feeling of being judged or looked down on, and we don't want someone else to feel that way. Every person is unique and different, and there is nothing wrong with that. Have a dope ass day bruh!!
Nick Chaos32 couldn’t agree more
Well said 👏
Well, I thought that all metalheads are nice, but a lot of them like to argue, judge and get offended like "That's not metal!", " They're not metal!", "They're gay!" etc
You do realize that there are SO many sub genres of metal music.
Maybe it's just kids or immature ppl
@@snowhitechristmas I have met some people like that as well. There are "elitists" in everything, but those are usually the minority in a group. It does usually come down to preference as well. Just a personal opinion, out of genre of course, but I have never really considered Rascal Flatts a real country band. Usually results from what subgenre started your metal journey lol
@@snowhitechristmas The assholes are always the loudest
Love how you said "Music enthusiast" so true of people who appreciate all types and are not afraid to expand their horizons.
Everything you said compliments every metl head.
Thank you
OMG YOU HEART MY COMMENT
"I'm thinking I should go to the gym, I think that's the move, it would make me feel better, it would be good for me, that's something that I need!"

I read this as that part played lmao
I love that part... LOL!!
Yooo there chicken strip honey buiscuits are the shit when you gottta desert valley in your mouth
Excellent use of the smash cut.
RandomEpicName that's the best gym ever man hahaha
I watched this twice, and from my perspective as a metalhead, I came up with this.
I won’t say all metalheads are nice as “nice” is subjective, but “genuine” is what I agree with. Rock and metal songs to me are “raw” compare to most kind of musics, which is why a rocker or a metalhead can just express themselves fully without any “filter” of social norm or stuff. The thing is, it make us being real in the society nowadays, which is kind of exotic.
The lady behind the counter who you were talking to likes the band "Foo Fighters"
Dave Grohl is the lead singer in the band. He was also the drummer for Nirvana before they "broke up".
They're more of a hard rock band, but they're really good. If you want to get a feel for what the band is like look up the documentary "Sonic Highways"
It's a documentary of the band recording one of their albums. Each song on the album was produced in a different recording station in a different city around the U.S.
Dave sat down with popular, highly influential singers from each city (blues/Jazz/Country Ect..) which reflects that cities music, and then took parts of their interview and used the messages from the singers as lyrics. It's very cool. Each episode is based off of a different city/song and are all an hour long.

Well, i only been doing it for like 2 months :P
But thanks for having a look.
Metal was always a FEELING for me instead of just lyrics or drums or guitar.
Dude, i just wanna tell you that i am a die hard metalhead, been listening to this shit since i was 13 and I've progressed through time and now i listen to all sorts of stuff from black metal to hip hop and breakcore/darkstep and all sorts of other shit. Music now is not just my passion, it's my life. And your channel and your personality is so inspiring to me. Keep going mate, sincerely wishing you all the best. Your fan from Russia, Moscow (yeah, you got fans even in this shithole :D)
I feel really nice about calling you a brother.. A musical brother, a brother in spirit..
I love coming home (Different time zones) and looking what you have for me today, what band are you diving into today..
All i can say is..
Keep it up man..
(And get out there, to more concerts.. Take your girl with you and go out and meet more bands..
Oh.. And do more like Unleash the Archers, or Nightwish.. So far my own 2 favo reactions of yours.. I really LOVE watching how your brain.. well.. just gets blown away..
With metal the lyrics tell the story but the music sets the tone and mood of the story.
RIP Oli Herbert from All That Remains, founder and lead guitarist.
Alex it would be awesome to see a tribute reaction for this badass incredible guitar player
I would love to see Chiron
When did he pass away?
@@Roberto-1191 earlier today
Damn. RIP indeed.
I personally think that "The air that I breathe" would make a fitting tribute
I find it so cute what older women think heavy metal is
But well there could have been much worse choices. Dave Grohl is an extremely nice person. And he just looks almost exactly like the drummer of Nirvana.
Cold Void 616
Nah the drummer of Nervanna looked a lot younger.
Is that a joke? because he was the drummer.....
Robert Belote no way the drummer for nirvana is clearly younger
sebastian sluga ummm.......i think im done interneting .
Heavy metal came into my life at a time when I really needed it and I haven’t looked back!!

Don’t let anyone get you down! 😄
Bruh, nice breakfast edit!!
LOL!! XD 3:55 I should go to the gym, Cut. Take b: at the drive through!! XD
As a metalhead, yeah, we're nice!! A lotta people don't know, or even want to accept it, but yeah, we are.
Really nice view on how both lyrics and music work together to form a whole thing. Really cool. Honestly I hadn't thought about it.
Finally, nice breakdown on how the musical structure of metal is made. Nice dude.
Cheers. \m/
Thumbs up for Alex wearing a Smile More shirt.

It's always really awesome to see someone come into the heavy metal community with this much adoration and appreciation. It's been interesting watching your videos because we're very similar in that we both listen to various types of music. However, I was a metalhead first, and dove into other genres from there. Basically, coming to the same place from opposite directions.
That being said, it would be really cool to see you react to Berried Alive - Dingleberries. I believe the channel is called Charles Caswell though as he is the guy that writes and performs the music. Berried Alive is more of a project name than a band name per se.
I'm digging your exploits. I grew up in Houston years ago, but am having a blast watching you react to music I've been listening to for decades...I'm especially thankfull to you for bring back some metal that has been forgotten over the years, but still kicks ass!
As a metalhead of 22 years, I personally think you are ready Alex, on behalf of the metal family we welcome you. Your now one of us!
I would for sure watch your vlogs this is a well edited video like keep at it bro
Ikr i felt like the edit was super simple yet super adictive

Alex, their are lots of reaction channels out there. We come to yours because it is different. We like your energy and honesty. Some other reaction channels feel fake but not yours. You have done a lot of metal but there is a lot of good rock out there too. Queen, Guns N Roses, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins and much more. If you are going to keep doing reactions then maybe do more rock. Metal is good but without rock bands like The Beatles, Rolling Stones. The Who, Led, Zeppelin, Cream and Deep Purple there would be no metal music. Keep it up and if you are honest in whatever you do then your fans will keep watching.
Dont forget the old school underground like Manila road or cirith ungol
So glad you've enjoyed yourself! I know I've enjoyed being along for the ride, and watching someone get to know my most beloved songs makes them feel fresh again! Also, congrats on your soon-to-be-graduating!
I can sit back and watch your videos all day Alex. Your one of the most genuine UA-camrs I've watched. There's nothing about you that is put on or fake. You're always being yourself and I love that. Keep up the good work Alex and keep those vlogs coming!
WELCOME WELCOME TO THE METAL HEAD COMMUNITY ALEX !!!!! IT'S THE BEST😊😊😊😊😊
Metal music to me is everything, cycle of life from birth to death. It changes anxiety to calming bliss. Anger int relief. It makes me feel life. It gives me goose bumps and tears at the same time.its just heaven
I really need to start watching at least one of your videos every day man you really just make me wanna get up and go and you also really inspired me to expose myself to more RAP the way you do with metal! Thanks a million
Tenacious D - Kickapoo
We can do it!
He needs to do not just Kickapoo, but also Beelzeboss and Tribute.
ThatSkynyrdKid 70 he should react to the whole movie but i doubt thatll happen.

Alex Hefner Shane Dawson level editing dude! Was fucking mint to watch
Started watching your videos as someone that just reacts to metal, and now I watch someone that I like and think that is cool. I'm really proud of what you have done man. I really hope you keep it going. ❤
I'm very excited for you to get into more of the extreme forms of metal. Death Metal, Black Metal, Grindcore, etc. You've come a long way, but you have so much more to discover.
So glad you joined the rock nation!
Also Dave Grohl is the singer of Foo Fighters.
Also, on a sad note. The Guitarist for All That Remains passed away yesterday. A moment of silence for our rock brother.
I loved this vlog. Your editing is always top notch. Keep doing vlogs, but please don't stop doing reactions! In fact you should do another Nightwish reaction! 😉 Have a dope ass day, Alex!
I've really enjoyed your journey through music that can have the ability to keep us going. It's fantastic to see someone truly appreciate music for what it is rather than what it sounds like to a casual observer. Metalheads really are great. I've went to concerts in Camden, NJ, (notoriously dangerous) and never felt so safe. We're nice but no one fucks with us either. When one of us goes down in a pit we pull them back up.
I've felt that rock and metal music is some of the most honest, raw, emotional music you can find. It can be exhilarating, depressing, cathartic, etc... If you want to feel something, you'll find it.
Congratulations on graduating and thanks for keeping an open mind! Best of luck to you.
Music is the greatest thing in the world. Brings so many people together, having a broad taste in music is awesome!! Good work dude 🤘🏻
Shiiiiiit, fast approaching that 200k sub!!!
Btw you should totally keep up the IRL vlogging. After having seen you react to so much metal it really has sparked a bit of an interest about your day to day life.
DON'T STOP REACTING TO METAL THO!
i will never stop reacting to metal!
Ahh.....This warms my frigid, Norwegian heart.
Man I hear you playing system of a down in this video I just saw them live there so good. Must see. you got to go see them
Justin Lucas system and Slipknot are top on my must see list
I really agree with you on the whole aspect of just learning to appreciate music. Most music is being made by a person/people that are really driven and love making it, and it really hurts when you judge someone based on what the kind of music is. I've listened to rock my whole life, but I only just recently started getting into much heavier stuff.
Also, I highly recommend trying Veil of Maya! Examples of songs by them: Mikasa, Overthrow, and Whistleblower!
Nail on the head fam, nail on the head! You get it and I respect the hell out of you for going out of your comfort zone and embrace something that was completely foreign. I hope you keep up the reaction stuff, but i will still watch even if you don't. Much respect sir!
Awesome video. It's always nice to see what normal people things go on in UA-camrs lives 😂 you're entertaining as hell and I really enjoyed your perspective on metal and everything at the end. Also, now I really want fries.
My totally awesome recommendation that will totally blow your mind is Queen of the Reich by Queensryche. You will be SO GLAD you did. Probably won't replace Slim in the car, because let's face it, that's the best time to be the world's best rapper, but they're definitely worth the listen and can get you pumped. 😁
Congrats on applying for graduation! I love that you will be doing more vlogs and I hope you'll keep doing reactions as well. I'd love to see you do some more reactions to Marilyn Manson since he is my favorite musician and they are my favorite band. :)
Thanks for all the videos man I love old hip hop but metal and hard rock ar my favorite I'm glad you enjoy the music so much
I was born in Texas lived there until I was 8. Lots of family in Houston. That being said. Whataburger is Soooo bomb!!!

I heard yeah. But the kind words. FINALLY SOMEONE FUCKING UNDERSTANDS THAT WE'RE JUST HUMANS
I couldn't believe it I'm going to miss his shredding guitar solos
Hey Alex!
I hope you do put out more vlogs!
Being a metalhead(primarily) and later a general music enthusiast I completely agree, listening to metal isn’t solely about the lyrics or the instrumentals...it’s the mixture of the two.
BUT there are some heavy instrumental metal songs, like Sea of Heartbreak by Angel Vivialdi that transcend the need for lyrics.
Anyways, keep on keeping on my dude!
Dude I have been watching you since your first reaction and you've grown to such a good presenter of your views and I really think your future as a UA-camr is nearly certain. You got it man! Keep it up and I really hope success comes your way through this!
