I collected EVERYTHING from the Star Wars Power of Force., Power of the Jedi. And I mean EVERYTHING from 1995 to 2007. Long saber, short saber, orange card, green card, Boba Fett full circle and half circle gloves, retail and online exclusives, Convention exclusives, and the list goes on...... And then in 2009, I sold it all in one swoop! 48 plastic tubs and numerous cardboard boxes. I rented a U-Haul. And the buyer rented one as well. We met in a burger king parking lot. And backed the two U-Hauls up to each other. From one truck to the other, we unloaded/loaded. Sold the collection for $9000! These days.... You can't even give most of that stuff away.
Think most people jumped on that 90's -2000's run of star wars thinking it would do the same as the original stuff and shoot up. You be lucky to get your money back as it was mass produced
I collected 1,000 of these figures from 1995-to 2000. A few years ago, I donated them all to Toys for Tots. It's sad to see them go, but I hope the kids who got them enjoyed them. Like I did hunting and collecting them.
Dude, learn so much from you guys while getting to see all the stuff I missed as a kid. Love seeing you guys talk about everything history. More! More! Idk why but also love seeing Travis crunching numbers. 😂
So I just got started on watching this channel yesterday and I’ve been watching it all day. It’s a great watch. I love that it’s basically Comic Book Men without all the scripted BS. Keep up the exceptional work, I’ve been having a blast taking it all in. Makes me super nostalgic and has been teaching me a lot of miscellaneous information I would have never come across elsewhere. And it truly helps watching a toy store owner who is not an absolute douche
Absolutely, my sentiments exactly. It's Comic Book Men meet Pawn Stars, but without the scripted non-funny jokes and phoniness. For sure, Ryan (the owner) is a very knowledgeable, very chill, very fair dude. He remembers me as the guy that sold him the German dagger. But I remember him more as the guy that I'd come to the basement at his house long before he had a brick and mortar store. That'd take _waaay_ too long to pick out what I want, while his families upstairs ready to eat. Yeah, I wasn't too self-aware back then lol.
@@Chalor. that’s awesome.. I have been part of drug deals that are the same scenario except weed instead of toys.. your version is much more family friendly/ family being upstairs appropriate lol
@@jbischof71 Awww, that message touched me. I've been in scenarios like that as well, but stuff a bit harder than pot. But all that's behind me, so it's all about, good - clean - fuuun! Yaaaaaay!!
Yeah I agree with your price on this, a lot of stuff yes...but a lot of common things that are hard to move. As you can see your 90s wall of star wars figures that are fill to the max.
One thing you notice super fast about this culture is they're business people that know why more about the retail and "antiquing" aspect of these products than the Star Wars films themselves. I'm a massive fan of 16-bit collectables and you notice real fast that most people in the retro gaming market are business people who know the product, but know next to nothing about the games, characters, storylines etc..
I bought a good chunk of the potf line when it came out. Crazy to think the original toys were less than 20 years old at that point and now the Potf line is almost 30years old from its inception. I started episode 1 collecting until I saw the movie and then my Star Wars collecting days were over. I feel old.
It's interesting to see some of the business calculations that go into these purchases. By that I mean it has to make sense for the store. I used to try to do some of this kinda thing at a toy show and it was hard. Man all those POTF 2 items just never appreciated in value, but now I have fond memories of it.
Good Afternoon brother!! Another great video... not to mention slipping one in on us in the middle of the week... that's what I'm talkin about!! Man you're so full of knowledge about this stuff one day I'm going to pick your brain!! Again great work.... love the channel!! Peace ✌️
Hopefully someday you guys have enough space for a dedicated incoming area. Having a dedicated space with a pc hooked to a large tv could really speed up the process vs using phones for everything. Sorting bins, a table etc.
What an awesome collection! I know some people hate them, but I love the new POTF era. I'm still surprised that most can be had for $5 - $15 today. I remember People paying like $60 in 1996 for a Red Card Leia!!
When potf came out I was pretty young. I clearly remember running into kb toys and old men like pushing me out of the way to scoop up all the newest released ones. Back when kids still played with toys. And those old men being buried with those valueless action figures 🤣
@@scottgordon9931 Ha ha. Yeah! I remember spending most of 1996 searching for Leia, Lando, and Obi-wan. TRU, KB, Wallgreens, Playworld NYC, etc. I also remember seeing "older men" ransacking the Playmates Star Trek figures. My mom had to guard the perimeter if I was looking through those 😀. And now most POTF and Playmates ST figures are virtually worthless!! Fun times though! Nothing today can compare.
I love this channel! Brings back so many memories when I was 5 years old at Christmas playing with my new Star Wars toys the year they dropped the ROJ SW toy sets. I loved that Tie interceptor and B-wing!! I vaguely remember having Vader's Tie Advanced but I think it came out years prior and I got it later. That Tie Interceptor and B-wing were my fav starfighter toys even to this day! I was alwaya bumbed about not getting the At-At from ESB toy line and the Constructicons set from Transformers damn You mom and dad lol. I do remember being a kid and seeing that USS Flagg aircraft carrier from G.I Joe sitting in stacks at my local walmart and it had like a 100$ price tag on it back then. I viewed it as too unwieldy to play with and never bugged my family lol. Wow thanks for the memory rushes!
Man, you are super generous. There is an endless supply of those powrr of the force figures you can find them all day at every toy con, flea market, and comic or toy shop.
I know the potf isn't the *most* popular line because of all the 'roided up redesigns, but it is a great line if you want to start an affordable star wars collection as a lot of the line is still pretty cheap to pick up,for the most part anyway
You guys are doing such a great job with your videos. Good content, educational, and great quality. You are my favorite channel next to Froggy Flips. Keep uploading! I have my Toy Federation t-shirt ordered as well. 😊
Wow this video is just what I needed. My collection is probably 3 times this big and it's just sitting in storage. I'm more motivated to try and move it now. Lots of common potf2, but I have some bangers for sure. ATTE all those ships you showed. Fambas rancors and a BMF. All in way better shape too. 😊
Man I have like 12 A-Wings. I bought a squadrons worth. I was working at Toys R Us and either TRU or Hasbro had a huge warehouse dump around 2001-2, and we had the full scale electronic X-Wing, AT-AT, and A-Wing, 12" Han on Taun-Taun (maybe it was Luke?) for $9.97 a piece on clearance. Tons of carded figures as well were a few bucks a piece.
I would buy a lot of those vehicles, I had a few of the figures in the mid to late ‘90’s but sold them my favorite were Darth Vader and Jedi Luke which was very hard to find until I found him at K-Mart. I love the original trilogy.
That was Lieutenant Lepira in the Y-Wing box. It was a 2007 TAC release in the UK though and I don't think it was an exclusive (I have the figures and the Y-wing missing a few peices). Even the loose figures for this carry a bit of value in the UK. I guessed at 1800 USD for the job lot and its not even my currency. I was a little proud of that guess but also sad that it included the glorious (and boxed) Imperial Shuttle at that price though! Oh, I love the skiff too but the figure stands on it are next to useless. As an aside, the Vintage Collection Vizam comes with a cannon which is designed to fit on to the side of the skiff (amazing peice of reverse engineering by Hasbro and it really enhances the display value of it).
I have a sealed Empire Strikes Back original fan club mailer with everything still inside….any clue of value? Im not finding anything similar that is intact and sealed.

Sealed new in the box mean nothing, It's ruined.
Fair, especially as you said you’re taking on a ton of common slow movers. But the vehicles/creatures are so dope and you’ll make your money back on those and then some
I enjoy the power of the force because they were the figures accessible to me…not a fan of the ones that are boxed from the ‘80’s Got my Katarn, Dark Trooper, and Thrawn from this series!!!
I had a bunch and due to life changing events I had to put it in storage. After awhile it just kind of gets forgotten about and sits in storage. Kids change everything...lol
Even though I have always loved Star Wars, the action figures drove me nuts with no movement capability like the small GI Joes which I stuck with always.
Wonder how much time and money the seller spent on amassing that collection 😂 Seemed obvious to me at the time more collectors were buying that stuff than kids, not a good investment
Power of the Force stuff has not appreciated much in value, and likely never will. I think they produced a ton of it and there were lots of speculators that bought them and kept them in their packages. There's only a handful of Power of the Force figures that are worth money, the rest of it is all pretty low.
After like a dozen bad movies and however many terrible shows I'm amazed there are still star wars fans who are dedicated enough to collect anything. 3 great movies, 1 decent one (rogue one) and one great show (andor) seems like such a low ratio to engender such dedication at this point. odd..
Do you guys find videos like this interesting? Should we do more?
Yes. Do more. 😊
