    another great video

    I’ve mentioned this before on another video. I think it would be great to have a separate sticker that prints out with the three main weights plainly listed. Like a quick reference sticker instead of looking for the information on the larger sticker.
    GVWR- 14,000
    Curb Weight- 4,000
    Payload capacity- 10,000

      If you know your GVWR and your payload (which are both on the sticker) then you know you’re curb weight

      @@MAXCODumpsters I probably should have used a different term. I mean the empty trailer weight.

      @@Daniel_Vandiver your empty trailer weight and curb weight are the same thing. Payload for anything is GVWR - weight of the unit. My 2500 RAM is roughly 2.2k payload. 10k GVWR - 2.2k payload gives you 7.8k of truck. Same with trailers.

      @@MAXCODumpsters I understand that. I don’t need a lesson. I simply said that it would be cool to have those three things on one sticker. Similar to what GM does. If you agree that curb weight and dry weight are understandable to be interchanged then why did you feel the need to comment in the first place? Just for the sake of mansplaining? Please just leave me alone.

    I would like to see a cross between a low profile dump and a landscape trailer with the combo barndoor/folding ramp like action trailer or qsa. This would be a gamechanger for landscapers.

    It it had no hydraulics you wouldn’t go to the middle to lift it all about leverage telescopic are the future being that we have adapted this from dump trucks for many years awesome video buddy

    Jacob, I live in Michigan and I’m looking to buy a commercial duty 14’ bumper pull dump trailer with telescopic. My question is this. What is the diameter of the telescopic hoist that should be on a 14’ trailer? Are the hydraulic telescopic hoist rated (similar to a log splitter ram). Please help and please advice. I really like your Low profile Heavy Duty dump trailer

    I am genuinely curious, why can't you put a larger hydraulic cylinder on a scissor lift. I like the idea of the telescoping lift but I worry about damaging it. I know I know if I'm paying attention I should never damage it but knowing me I will.

    • @diamondctrailers
      @diamondctrailers  Рік тому +1

      Hey Justin! This is a great question - Scissor lifts are made for specific cylinder sizes. A bigger cylinder would require a bigger scissor lift assembly. The scissor lift on your dump has a cylinder that is rated to lift the weight capacity of your dump trailer. As Jacob mentions, scissor lifts will always be more sensitive than telescopic dump trailers.

      @@haoyang5667 the most power , with the least amount of loss , dump trucks have been using this system for years if the trailer had no hydraulics you wouldn’t lift from the middle , you would want to use the leverage from the opposite hinge point, easier to lift the box of the dump body all in all less parasitic power loss diamond c has some great video explaining the benefits the trailer nerd himself is great at explaining the main benefits as well hope to be become a dealer for them someday they make some incredible trailers!
