Got a new pair a couple of days ago (i've previously owned them for a while already in May) and am facing none of the issues mentioned here. Seems the latest firmware really has fixed a lot. They do charge normally and don't connect to the device while in the case transparency mode works well with one bud usage, bluetooth stability in general has improved a lot, as has ANC and ANC stability. Great set of buds now. Multipoint connectivity and a "High Resolution Audio mode" have also been added in that firmware (version 2.10.19).
I agree, the new firmware update has literally improved everything, I bought them yesterday, and I loved the "High Resolution Audio mode" that you can activate on the settings sounds amazing, I highly recommend these over AirPods Pro, or Sony headphone if the sound quality is the most important to you
@@FoggyDigital You're quite welcome. Just finished watching, but I was wondering if you'd tried to get ahold of anyone at the company directly to see if they do, indeed, plan on updating the software/firmware for these buds? It would be interesting to hear their thoughts if one was able to get in touch with someone directly. Other than that, I would say that you gave a very well done, in depth, well thought out review. I love how you actually took us to your job site and showed us the torture they had to compensate for especially given that they are audio devices! That was pretty intense, for sure! Anyway man, keep up the great content. I'm subbed.
@@redfonzie21 I did not even think about talking to someone at the company 🤔 though now I definitely feel like it would be beneficial to at the very least let them in on the problems. Thank you for watching the review, it definitely was not a short one. Also thank you for the sub I definitely appreciate it. I definitely will keep hard at work. The Galaxy buds are next to go through the torture. Take it easy!!!
@@FoggyDigital I need to find some that work for me but I'm in that $0-50 market range, the $50+ is just a really hard price point for me to rationalize. I was trying to see those ones you showed that you were saying were around $30 I think? What are they, and did you do a review on them?
@@redfonzie21 they are gold and I don't even think they sell em anymore. However I can absolutely buy in that price range and do a review on em. I have no problems with that
Man I am blown away by the sound quality and decent call mic quality. After running around for 1 year, buying and returning AirPods Pro, Bose qc2, Sony 1000xm4 earbuds and headphones. Thanks Senheisser
They got Firmware update v2.9 and that solved all issues u mentioned, Now there is no reason to ditch them. If you get some memory foam tips from comply, it solved the ANC problem too. These are the best audiophile sounding and feature packed earbuds ive ever owned. Worth evry penny. Im in love with these ❤️. Thanks for the review but i am sad that you are sending them back, you will definitely miss them.
I'll have to check in on that firmware update. I also never had a problem with ANC specifically. In fact I think it was pretty damn awesome. Not as good as the Airpod Pros but still not notch.
@@FoggyDigital Well Sennheiser beats the Airpods pro by far.. not even close.. regarding call quality and sound quality. Also multipoint wad added with 2.9 and many new features
@@nikeu6077 ah well the sound of the Sennheisers are WAY better than the Airpod Pros. However, according to my ears, Airpod Pros have better ANC. Again as said in the review it's not by much. Thanks for watching
Thank you for this very comprehensive review of the Sennheiser MW3. Man, I've seen a lot of reviews of this device of difference youtubers wherein they only had the device a couple of days or weeks and dont bother to get a long term review again. I really appreciate that you bring all your real life scenarios and problems that I might possibly encountered when I plan to get this. thankfully, as @Fabio De Feo's post below regarding the version 2.10.19 seems to fix the major problems, so in conclusion I might still get this! Thanks again man!, you gain a subscriber. This is a real world review!
I've had my pair 3 months and they work great, and the latest firmware made it better. Charging issues happen when you need to clean ear wax off the contact points. The 1 real flaw is the wind blast noise I'm transparency with any motion. Transparency mode is only good if you are stationary, like sitting at a desk.
Thank you very much for the honest review, it was a big help for my decision: I'm gonna buy them. :) I can live with the flaws you mentioned and the rest is quite ok. Thanks again, and have a good one!
Not understanding why the need to post this video as it’s clear that you have a faulty set. I have had mine for months, and no such problems. If you return them & receive a pair with the same problems, then it would give credence to your complaints. Contact senheiser & give em a chance to put things right, if they don't, then trash em. I do e-commerce and it really grinds my gears when a buyer leaves bad feedback without allowing me to rectify the issue. Sensible & reasonable people take this approach. This is not good!!!
I have definitely had multiple people say about the same thing. I absolutely will take this approach the next time I do a review of a product that doesn't seem to work right. Thanks for the feedback 😊
i am in my 4th pair and they have the same.issue with ANC.... High pitch or/and lower volume performance. I don't know if i am unluck, but I only used them in the gym, taking my dog out, or just watching UA-cam videos.
That's OK to do that video, because internet is full of comments and people facing similar or same issues. The rate of faulty TW3 is really high. And those fails aren't just 'accidental' but more like design flaws. This definitely shouldn't happen in a product released by such company in such price range. What is even more outrageous - Sennheiser already had 'battery drain' in their TW1 model as well, due to the design flaw! At least, there was a workaround found by community to deal with the issue. I am paying fair price for a product that I expect just to work. I don't want to spend additiona time and frustration for finding/researching various 'tricks' and 'workarounds' to the issues that could be easily find in the testing phase. Releasing faulty products to the market is just disrespectful for the customers.
I have two pairs one for me one for my wife. Both work perfectly, they fit perfectly, they sound amazing, the app works perfectly on our iphone 14 pro max phones. Also I have a pretty nice home studio with 4 pairs of $500+ studio headphones plus 23 years in music production. I mean our sm3 buds seem to be exactly what we were inspecting.
I really appreciate you mentioning the flaws of this headphones but they still did not dissuade me from purchasing them primarily because if these issues are as severe as you said, Sennheiser will patch them in an update very soon. The sound and comfort (from other reviews) is why I purchase headphones and Sennheiser is my go to brand. I have the in-ear momentum wireless 2, overear SENNHEISER MOMENTUM 2 WIRELESS and SENNHEISER MOMENTUM 3 WIRELESS. Thank you once again, glad I found a second and different opinion. Oh wait, just found out that they updated them a week ago.
This is the same for me. Last year I bought buds2 pro, and unfortunately, I'm disappointed with the pros. The pros sometimes disconnect after they aren't used much. You can sometimes experience connection issues when you charge them fully. Let's say you get them at 100-after that... one bud is off, and connectivity goes through the other; the left becomes the right one, and the right one controls everything. Also, the ANC is not what is promised by Samsung: alongside this, the ''360audio'' may or may not work. I didn't meet any problems with the Sennheiser's audio. That audio is just a killer. Just the thing you need and would want to purchase. Plus, you would get the chance to customize the sound as much as you want. I sincerely recommend you rethink if you wanna buy the pros.
Thanks for the review. My TW version 1’s had/have the same charging issues. I could never rely on them being charged so stopped using them as my daily drivers. I specifically charged and used them when I wanted that Sennheiser sound when travelling.
Also massive charging issues here. Have them almost an year now they sounded incredible, but now both earpieces are dead and not charging anymore. Still in warranty, hope the seller replacing them tomorrow. Actually they are thousands of owners with the same problem.
I got mine as a replacement for the momentum 2s which went bad after 7 months (left one died competely). Today the left tw3 suddenly became really quiet and i was sure the same thing was happening. Tried the factory reset and everything, none of it worked. I got really angry, like wtf, again, seriously? And then for some reason i decided to try cleaning them under the rubber tip, and voila, like new. It wasnt sennheiser, it was my disgusting ear wax lol
Thanks for your review. I can say that aside from the sound, these buds have no pros. First of all, it took me a few months to get them to work with my Pixel 7 phone proprerly: there was always a problem that when connected I couldn't use them as a headset. Then it was fixed by updates. But another problems started 4-5 months after purchase: Poor contact between the buds and the ports in the case. Everything was charging fine up until now, but then you put the headphones on charging, the case lights up immediately yellow and then immediately green. You take the buds out and find out that the right bud is not charged. It is necessary to clean all the contacts, and only then it works. Cleaning with alcohol should be done almost every 2-3 weeks of daily use. And even in this case it happened that after charging the right bud was discharged. After 10 months of use torn one earpad, but it's nothing. The most shameful thing is that the caps/membranes of the buds, were attached with glue (!!!) all around the earpiece diameter (!!!!!). How for 220 euros (May 2023) can this be done? Noise cancellation is practically a bit above zero. I have nothing to compare with, of course. But in the subway the difference is minimal between noise cancellation on and off. In short, if you don't want to be disappointed, avoid this model. Nothing against the brand. I've owned wired headphones from Sennheiser for about 15 years. No complaints. They sound great. And they still work, by the way.
I bought the Momentum TW4 last week. Yes, they sound good but I returned them because they hurt my ears. I went with the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and I can say they fit (me) incredibly well. For the miniscule difference in ANC and "sound" I would highly recommend the Buds 2 pro. I own the Momentum 4's and they're incredible, so I do love the Momentum sound signature. What's interesting to me is that if you want the best sound you should go with over the ears headphones. Earbuds are for talking, travelling, commuting, working out, etc. Sound is important but I think it's secondary and at the higher end there isn't much difference. I think fit is the most important thing for earbuds, you need to be able to wear them long term.
I agree most people would be better off with the Galaxy Buds Pro 2, due to their comfort level in ears. But also, any earbud will eventually cause ear fatigue/pain. For me Seinhieser Momentum TW3's last about 1-2 hours before I feel like I need to take them out because of ear fatigue/pain. For the Galaxy Buds Pro 2, they feel like they can stay in my ears without much ear fatigue/pain for anywhere between 4-7 hours. I've only had the Buds Pro 2 in my ears for as long as 4 hours. 90% of the time I only wear earbuds for 2 hours or less... Sound quality is good on both, but tbh Seinhieser is clearly better than every earbud I've tried. If you solely care about sound quality: 1. Seinhieser Momentum TW3 (10) 2. Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro (9.5) 3a. Bose Quietcomfort II (8.5) 3b. Galaxy Buds Pro 2 (8.5) If you solely care about comfort/fit: 1a. Galaxy Buds Pro 2 (10) 1b. Bose Quietcomfort II (10) 2. Soundcore Liberty Pro 3 (9) 3. Seinhieser Momentum TW3 (8.5)
I am so glad I read these comments and found this video. I go to the gym for +3 hour long workouts, and I like to zone out with earbuds and the fit is what makes or brakes pair of them for me. I'll have to look into GB2 pros instead.
You'd be really happy if you bought them again right now. For $169 the two new updates give you Multi-Device connectivity & hi-rez sound. From what you described with that price and those updates you would be able to overlook the rest ✌🏻🤟🏻👊🏻
Hell yea bro. They're worth every €. They sound the best, with barely any competition. No brand can beat the Sennheiser. All though, there's a big problem. I just got the right one stopped working. Same happened to my CX Plus True Wireless. I don't know what's wrong. Sensitive/faulty electronics and tech in them. Everything started with the proximity sensor in my case. Until one of them just dropped dead. Time to call upon the warranty. They'll have to send me a new one, as this can't be repaired unfortunately.
My MTW3 stopped charging within 1,5 year. Seems when they are fully drained after not using them for a long time they won't come back on. UA-camr Alex shows how he takes them apart and jump-start them with a set of tripple A batteries. They have to have a minimum voltage to charge again.
First pair lasted 8 months, left bud volume problem, 2 nd pair 6 months now, left bud no more volume same as 1st, I hope the 3rd pair will last because the warranty is 24 months, also I had to wait 6 weeks for new pair, I purchased type C earbuds...
My pair has none of these issues. I've had them for a while now. Not saying he's lying. And you're correct, All of these earbuds are WAY TOO expensive.
Glad to have stumbled upon this video. Had the same charging and playback issues with my Sennheiser True Wireless Version 1. I thought Sennheiser was able to rectify this issues with the second version but it seems that it is back on this iteration of the buds. Now I don't know what to purchase because there's just no perfect set of earbuds out there.
I got the a month and a half ago. They have started acting weird. They sound like they are inside a can, and some weird echo effect… like it howls louder and stops and starts again. Playing music the tone switches wildly. Gonna return these…
Update: Kept them... but two days ago the right side didn't charge back up again, and in the beginning the app could see the left one, but was stuck in 10% battery, and the right side never charging up. Should have returned them when I had the time. Now I have a bricked set. Expensive and deinitely not worth it!
Thank you for your honesty, we really need it, I bought these buds and found one bud that did not work, so I returned it to the seller and took another one, after two days the same problem appeared!! Also, sometimes there are problems with communicating with the mobile phone! This is so annoying and ridiculous.
Finally someone that doesn't get a new model every 3 days reviewing. Oh man I almost bought these because of the hype reviews that leave all these flaws out. The no single side transparency is a deal breaker. I bought used gen 2 and battery was pathetic (I swear they would drain almost as much when autopaused from the in ear sensor as when in use) on top of the big case and no single bud use that I knew about. Samsung Buds2 Pro (I have first gen and was keen on them) - don't autopause when only one bud taken out and transparency is weaker...I think you will have a couple of this to criticize
I am using the buds2 pro right as I type this out and I absolutely have things to criticize about. So far I am happier with them than the Sennheisers. Still I am going to tear these apart as well. Thanks for watching my video btw!!
On and my 2nd hand first gen Samsung Buds Pro developed static at low volume...went on forums and what do you know? ... widespread problem! Loving the Nuratrue (especially the drums) I just got but the ANC would not suit your job at all lol
@@edderepa9685 oh yeah ANC has to be able to deal with that type of loud. I know that there are not designed for that but still imma work them that way
I got these a few weeks ago, and have had none of these issues. But I have had a problem with charging. The left one will charge just fine, but the right one will not charge anymore.
I have been running a pair (well 3 more on that later) for 2 years now. The audio quality is amazing, the anti wind and is amazing. Set 1 left bud diaphragm died. Horrible crinkling sound. Touching the left bud cause the audio to cut out, moving my jaw caused the left bud to cut out. Set 2, left bud refused to charge. Set 3 (current set), audio quality drops. Can sound full and amazing. Then suddenly it's sounds like it is coming from a pair of earphones from a 99p shop. My £90 pixel A bud have been far more reliable than the TW3s. I want to love my TW3s but with all these issues I just can't. Sadly I am past the point of returning them. So now on the hunt for a set of decent in ear buds. These have been worse than the Nura buds I had. I have updated my review of them with Do not buy as the first line.
Im glad I didnt see your review before I bought these, because I might have left them on the shelf. Ive watched about 3/4 of the review and I gotta say your wrong. I love these buds and if I lost them today I'd immediatly but them again and have zero buyers remorse. Side note, most of these issues have not cropped up in my buds.
I've definitely had similar issues, but this quality is unrivaled to me. I love them. But I've had to manually reset them so many times, I might just need a new pair. But for my money, there's nothing that fits my sound, look, and ear feel. Great vid though, keep it up
This is my 3rd try after same issues. One earbud no sound. My third momentum tws 3 also failed after 2 months. Right one no sound. Touch control works but no sound at all. There is something wrong with this model obviously. Don't buy
Damn dude, those are some really crappy design decisions from Sennheiser. Definitely not a faulty pair. I know your pain. I bought a new car the other day and it came with no wheels and 2 smashed windows. Someone should fire the designers for making such poor choices, smh bro
Wish I would have saw this review before I got them. The sound is great but all of the others override them. I experienced similar to what you covered: ear pain and they also start to slide out my ear, no matter what combination of tips and fins I use. Connection is unstable and I often find myself having to repair them. The charging is incredibly annoying: sometimes just the case charged and the buds don't. I also feel the battery life is nowhere near what's advertised, a few gym sessions with them and it's already time to recharge. Just really disappointing all around.
my left earbud volume just suddenly went low. i'm trying to reach quality control. waiting 48 hrs for a call back. at this point i just want my money back. i haven't had them a month. which is insane because i really like them. i used them everyday. the sound, the fit, anc & transparency was great for me, but alas. 😢
I have a pair and have had them for less than a yr and im experiencing connectivity issues, and as well no voice that is automatic when pairing them, gonna go to Best Buy to find out if they will repair them if at all,not a slam against Sennheiser because i went to them after extensive use of Beats products which would break from normal use as well
You CLEARLY got a bad set man. You should have sent them back and gotten a replacement. This happens with EVERY brand. Sennheiser audio is one of the best made, for in ear, over ear, audiophile...Etc..Ya got a lemon.
I disagree I've had two pairs in less than a year, they sound great but after 1 to 2 weeks of use the ANC develops a wind distortion noise only in the left ear bud. When after a while the right ear bud develops a chirping noise mostly when you're moving around, when the right but starts cutting in and out until it's a stops playing. And that's not to mention the constant random connection issues, concent cleaning due to one in the earbuds playing lower than the other and other random issues.
Bought a pair of these in June of 2023. It’s now September of 2023. A few weeks ago they started losing their charge when I put them in the charging base. Ironic, right? They’re now completely dead and totally unresponsive. I have bought many Sennheiser products in the past, but never again. These were a total waste of $300. Very sad considering the price.
Yeah but transparency mode with one ear in has been updated through the recent firmware update...Nothings perfect but they have tried I would say (Plus now its got multipoint connection)
These earbuds don't fit well and worse, one of them just stopped to work ! This upset me in way that I never felt in my experience with other earbuds in any range price ! Sennheiser did a horrible job with this one. Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is just perfect. Your review is 100 % accurate.
@@ruledbyvenus2041 doesn’t mean that at all, but I think people should also know that not everyone has those issues. I did end up returning them though 🤪
what sense does it make to use ANC with 1 earbud ??? You can easily turn to transparency mode with one touch. Have you done a complete reset to solve the problem with mixed ANC and transparency mode and also charging ? Never had any of your issues. If a reset should not help then you have a defective pair of earbuds.
I makes no sense to have ANC with one earbud. With both earbuds out of case and in my ears ANC is absolutely an easy one touch, in fact I love that. But with one earbud in the case I do not have the ability to use transparency mode.
I just got the Sennheiser True Wireless 3 but they don't turn on. No leds blinking, no nothing and I left them charging for several hours. Does anybody know how what could be the problem and how can I solve it?
I am currently in the process of having mine replaced as the right ear bud would only play at 50% volume (so far taking them over 3 weeks and counting to do this), when these are working they are great earbuds but having suffered some the problems you have had these are going down as the worst earphones/earbuds I have ever bought in the last 30 years
@@evolve777 I am still awaiting my replacement buds I have been told the whole turn around from when they recieve the faulty ones is 7 to 14 weeks. don't think I will be buying any more products from them
Jordan (UA-camr that made this) you should provide an update after the latest firmware update that fixed all these issues. I know, because I recently bought the TW3 and did the firmware update that popped up when I first connected them. They are now flawless. Leaving this title now is nothing more than click bait for you to get views dealing with old firmware issues. Do the right thing...
First I would have to pay for a new left ear bud. I stopped using these until about a week ago. And now lol out of the blue the left earbud is very quiet and also is chirps like a bird. I kid you not. I would love to do an update, as these earbuds sound great but I do now want to spend another 100 dollars on these, at all. So I stand by this review until I can give a real update
I will definitely looking into the warranty because it has been a huge disappointment for me. I do struggle with how uncomfortable they are too but that's more of a me problem than anything else. Thanks for watching btw.
OK Jordan here's an update. I too was getting fatigued after wearing the TW3 for an hour or more so I bit the bullet and bought the BOSE QC 2 today. Wow what a difference in comfort. I can actually lay on my side in bed with them on and they comfortable. Let's be honest we all have criteria ranking of the most important to the least important. Here's my criteria in order of the most important. 1. Staying connected consistently 2. Comfort 3. Sound quality 4. ANC 5. Wireless charging 6. Price. I think that's everything that I can think of. I'm within the 30 day window Amazon return window and after I do some sound comparisons, I think the TW3's are going back. You should check out the BOSE. You definitely get what you pay for...
Thanks for your comments. The one thing you didn't mention, which you may not be experiencing, is the ringing that will not go away when I get a phone call. I agree 100% that the audio quality when listening to music and movies are awesome, but the freaking ringing and beeping that I'm dealing with when I either make a phone call or when someone calls me. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with these earbuds and I cannot return them for a refund. I agree that nobody should buy these earbuds.
I love those ears bud but I won't recommend them to anybody. I've had two pairs in less than a year, they sound great but after 1 to 2 weeks of use the ANC develops a wind distortion noise only in the left ear bud. When after a while the right ear bud develops a chirping noise mostly when you're moving around, when the right bud starts cutting in and out until it stops working. And that's not to mention the constant random connection issues, concent cleaning due to one of the earbuds playing lower than the other and other random issues.
Why don't you return these and get another pair of m3s bro? Maybe its related to hardware rather than software! Btw what do u recommend up to 250 bucks?
Fair point. So far I don't recommend anything at 250 I am literally just getting into the game of expensive headphones and earbuds. Right now I am using some galaxy buds 2 pro so expect a review of those next

@@FoggyDigital Great, mature response Foggy. I appreciate that! two things: Sennheiser has a great two year warranty so there is that. I also just picked these up, as I am a Senny head. I have the Klipsch T511, Bose, and the Senny CX, CX Plus, and the Momentum 3's....In my humble opinion you just cannot find better SOUND in the true wireless earbud game than Sennheiser. HOWEVER..For me, the CX plus are much better tuned for my ear and taste. The new 3's are very bass heavy and it is pushed WAAY forward at the expense of mid and high detail and separation. Still beautiful sounding buds with a VERY rich and full sound. I just personally prefer the tuning of the CX plus just a little more.
Mine had the problem when i called with one earbud in they said every 5 min : end call, earbud disconnected yet my call stayed on. But then a few sec the sound in the case stopt it was really weird so i had to call everytime with both in or that voice would distract me
So I have only really review three earbuds, the airpod pros, the galaxy earbuds pros, and the Sennheisers. So please take what I have to say with a huge grain of salt. IMO the galaxy buds are the winner for right now if you own an android device. If you own an apple device then their earbuds are my other choice.
I had that problem multiple times putting the earbus in the case and it was still connected to my phone. I returned four pair already about to return the 5th pair for a beeping sound and low volume while nose canceling is turn on.
I've got 3 months ago and I've get a problem with right side not working :( , No sound, no light. I can't pair anymore from Iphone because I remove the paring before and wanna try to repairing but I forgot that sennheiser need to push 2 earbud to get pair ! :(
No question you definitely got a LEMON PAIR and now with the new software 2.9.10 you got MULTIPOINT and ANC fixed. You are not helping people with your review but you misinforming just get another pair and do PART 2 of this video.
@@HPY07 in the fist 2 software versions but after the multipoint connection update is all good. Also is important to keep the contacts free of the body oils
I just pre ordered S23 ultra And looking for a pair of earbuds Its embarrassing how much time I've spent on reddit and UA-cam comparing Sennheiser MTW3 and Buds 2 pro. I'm just confused which one to get.. Some say Buds2 pro are going to be the best for samsung devices And some say MTW3 will be the better one So, help me choose one Top priority is sound quality
Just got two yesterday from a friend and won’t even charge. The case is green but when I unplug it and push the button it shows up orange so when I plug it back in it’s same thing and been changing now for a few hours and when I take the buds out they are blinking red and green
I have interference problems such as disconnections for seconds always on the left side of my ear, I just updated the latest firmware and it's still the same, it's very annoying because I paid a not cheap price for these "premium" headphones and they haven't corrected the problem from interference from the same left side.
@@FoggyDigital I went ahead and got the technics because I didn’t want to risk the chance thank you and would you try the mtw3 again or do you still see the same result in other peoples reviews?
I love this earbuds! But I got one on October, and they are having this weird noise( like a high pitch noise) on both sides. I don't know i am returning them and getting a new ones. This is the last shot for Sennheiser, i had the momentum 2 and the left earbud stop working. That's why I bought momentum 3. 🥺🥺😅😔
Left bud dead cant use the buds anymore wth what to do now it is useless. All problems started after the update of coneectiong to two devices. Shitty company wont buy anything from them anymore.
So far I don't have any recommendations. My next review is on the buds 2 pro. But I definitely am going to checking out the soudcore liberty 3 pros and the pixel bud pro as well
I LOVE the sound, I have tried number of different brands. Unfortunately I’ve gone through two sets. Both had battery issues, and ANC beeping. First one went after 3 months, 2nd after 6 weeks. This sucks as I really like them, but the issues that many people are having is widespread.
Does anybody get a strange sound in transparency mode and noise cancelling? Like if the microphone is trying to breath so you hear repeated high pitch repeating sound? Its my second pair of these and the same exact problem is reappearing in the right earbud
I need earbuds with ANC that don’t have a stem so they can fit inside earmuffs. I was looking at Momentum 3 or Beats Fit Pro. Which would you recommend? Or something else?
@@FoggyDigital I have the Beats Fit Pro still new in the box. I may buy the refurbished MTW3 and try them out to see if they hurt my ears or not. As I believe they have a 30 day money back thing where you can send them back for a refund.
Okay, so I had mine for 3 months and the most relatable issue was the pain from the wingtips in BOTH of my ears. However, you can fix this by selecting the no-wingtip option and then buying a seperate eartip - not wingtip - made of memory foam. It feels SO much better and improves sound quality and noise reduction. But the issue you can't fix is transparency mode having a constant sizzeling sound that can be heard with music playing.
To be fair all your problems are transparency doodoo stuff which personally i dont even care, if the sound quality is top notch that´s all that matters to me for a pair of earplugs, i was thinking about getting the airpods pro2, but after hearing the sound quality difference between airpods and momentum3, im 100% sticking with senheiser
I bought these earbuds just over 2 months ago, hearing all the good things about the sound quality; all of which are very much true. But if I knew how bad the Quality Control was on these, I would’ve never bought them in the first place. When most earbuds get wax buildup, they handle fine for a very long time. Not the TW 3’s. Had to clean them with alcohol at least 2 times a week. Normally, I’d be ok with this, but this was only after 6 weeks of use and $260. Now we go forward to today (2 months of use) and the left earbud now has no sound whatsoever. I tried everything to fix them. I cleaned them, I’ve reset them (normal and full factory resets) multiple times and nothing. Not a problem for earbuds after long term usage, but again… 2 months, and $260. I’m going to see if I can RMA them back, but I honestly don’t care and will probably just switch back to Jabra or go with another quality brand. One of the best sounding earbuds available, and yet they are the worst earbuds I’ve ever bought. Will probably never buy this brand again just because of the disappointment these were.
Asking this because I genuinely am trying to understand the usage scenario where I would need transparency mode with one side in. I am thinking back to older wired units or non-ANC units where I would remove one side to hear someone that started talking to me. I would think that using one side negates the need for transparency mode, but am I missing something?
I have a hard time hearing certain tones. So if I can take in as much sound as possible it REALLY helps with day to day life. Something you don't notice until a doc says hey you can't here X tone but the rest of your hearing is great.
Admittedly not a super common use case, but I'm deaf in one ear and I obviously want to be able to use transparency mode without having to put in the other earbud, and that's a big enough reason for me to not buy these.

You're quite welcome.

I need to find some that work for me but I'm in that $0-50 market range, the $50+ is just a really hard price point for me to rationalize.
I was trying to see those ones you showed that you were saying were around $30 I think? What are they, and did you do a review on them?
@@redfonzie21 they are gold and I don't even think they sell em anymore. However I can absolutely buy in that price range and do a review on em. I have no problems with that

@@angelodewit2197 yes no issues yet after 2 months

Thanks for sharing..I am having the exact same issues. Returning them now 😊
Thank you for this very comprehensive review of the Sennheiser MW3.
Awesome, enjoy them. Thanks very much for watching

This is awesome! I am very glad they are working well for you guys!!
Ok, get to the point already, will you? Obviously, you love hearing yourself talk, but we don't have time to waste.
Ha ha ha this is a fair point. Definitely working on getting straight to the point lol 😂 thanks for watching
Next! .....Thanks for the honest review dude!
Oh and keep the bloopers in your videos they are funny
Yup, I agree. It's nice to see someone who can have fun and poke at themselves, not too worried about "being perfect."
Sorry dude. My Sennheiser work perfectly for months. No issues.
But another problems started 4-5 months after purchase:
Poor contact between the buds and the ports in the case.
If you solely care about sound quality:
1. Seinhieser Momentum TW3 (10)
2. Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro (9.5)
3a. Bose Quietcomfort II (8.5)
3b. Galaxy Buds Pro 2 (8.5)
If you solely care about comfort/fit:
1a. Galaxy Buds Pro 2 (10)
1b. Bose Quietcomfort II (10)
2. Soundcore Liberty Pro 3 (9)
Great review!!!
I decide to buy buds2pro instaed after watching this video.Thank you guy.
Brilliant mate all the same issues here paid top dollar and they don’t work.
I still have mine. Still dislike them.
Loved your feedback… any updates so far for these annoying things?
I heard the firmware update corrects those problems.
Some agree with u. But I don't have problems charging one bud while listening music with the other and viceversa. Don't have sync problems too. 👍🏼
Fully agree great sounding but just keep breaking down, lemons.
Thank you for your honesty, we really need it,
I bought these buds and found one bud that did not work, so I returned it to the seller and took another one, after two days the same problem appeared!!
Also, sometimes there are problems with communicating with the mobile phone!
This is so annoying and ridiculous.
It really is and for the money there should not be problems.

Great video and very helpful, but the background music is quite distracting.
Don't buy
I saw these on sale for $120, so not even worth it at that price?
Damn dude, those are some really crappy design decisions from Sennheiser. Definitely not a faulty pair. I know your pain. I bought a new car the other day and it came with no wheels and 2 smashed windows. Someone should fire the designers for making such poor choices, smh bro
Amazing sound quality, but damn that charging problem drives me crazy. I turned off my Bluetooth and it seemed to to do the trick, but why Sennheiser
Sorry about your problems. I totally understand
Like I said in the video best sound I have ever heard come from any ear bud
I disagree I've had two pairs in less than a year, they sound great but after 1 to 2 weeks of use the ANC develops a wind distortion noise only in the left ear bud. When after a while the right ear bud develops a chirping noise mostly when you're moving around, when the right but starts cutting in and out until it's a stops playing. And that's not to mention the constant random connection issues, concent cleaning due to one in the earbuds playing lower than the other and other random issues.
@@FoggyDigital Thomas never mentioned anything about the S3 sound only that you most likely got a lemon which is most likely the issue

what sense does it make to use ANC with 1 earbud ??? You can easily turn to transparency mode with one touch. Have you done a complete reset to solve the problem with mixed ANC and transparency mode and also charging ? Never had any of your issues. If a reset should not help then you have a defective pair of earbuds.
I makes no sense to have ANC with one earbud. With both earbuds out of case and in my ears ANC is absolutely an easy one touch, in fact I love that. But with one earbud in the case I do not have the ability to use transparency mode.

Knowing what I do about them now from 2 years of use. Send them back.

Does it stop playing in the case when you put BOTH also in too?
Jordan (UA-camr that made this) you should provide an update after the latest firmware update that fixed all these issues. I know, because I recently bought the TW3 and did the firmware update that popped up when I first connected them. They are now flawless. Leaving this title now is nothing more than click bait for you to get views dealing with old firmware issues. Do the right thing...
First I would have to pay for a new left ear bud. I stopped using these until about a week ago. And now lol out of the blue the left earbud is very quiet and also is chirps like a bird. I kid you not.

OK Jordan here's an update. I too was getting fatigued after wearing the TW3 for an hour or more so I bit the bullet and bought the BOSE QC 2 today. Wow what a difference in comfort.
This is just a normal defect. Mines have none of these problem. Try recommending a brand that has no faulty units.
I'm on my 4th replacememt now for the same issue. The left earbud wont charge after a couple of months.
They seem to really dislike the left bud. That was the point of failure for 2 of my 3 sets. One had a failed diaphragm the other wouldn't charge.

two things: Sennheiser has a great two year warranty so there is that.
But then a few sec the sound in the case stopt it was really weird so i had to call everytime with both in or that voice would distract me
That's a odd problem to have for sure
Do you still think these are bad?
The updat did fix some issues I have had with them. I still wouldn't recommend them though. But that's just my opinion
@@FoggyDigital what would you recommend I have a budget of 350
So I have only really review three earbuds, the airpod pros, the galaxy earbuds pros, and the Sennheisers. So please take what I have to say with a huge grain of salt. IMO the galaxy buds are the winner for right now if you own an android device. If you own an apple device then their earbuds are my other choice.
@@FoggyDigital I already have AirPod pro 1 but I want something different and not Samsung what about bose
I haven't checked out any bose but I definitely know they are top tear. I have heard a lot about the Sonys as well
I had that problem multiple times putting the earbus in the case and it was still connected to my phone. I returned four pair already about to return the 5th pair for a beeping sound and low volume while nose canceling is turn on.
Try disconnecting your bluetooth.
@@ajaycbaby8837 i tried all of it. Just buy a new pair and having the same problem.
These sound FANTASTIC!!!! But some of the earbuds can be faulty I’ve owned about 4 pairs had to return 2 such a shame the case looks soo bad
You got any connection issues or whatsoever with these ?
@@HPY07 in the fist 2 software versions but after the multipoint connection update is all good. Also is important to keep the contacts free of the body oils
@@joncruz alright, thanks much!
I just pre ordered S23 ultra
And looking for a pair of earbuds
Its embarrassing how much time I've spent on reddit and UA-cam comparing Sennheiser MTW3 and Buds 2 pro.
I'm just confused which one to get..
Some say Buds2 pro are going to be the best for samsung devices
And some say MTW3 will be the better one
So, help me choose one
Top priority is sound quality
Personally the buds 2 pro are the way to go. IMO they sound better and are comfortable for long use.
@@FoggyDigital
Thanks for the reply buddy 🤝🏻
@@hritikghatge Not a problem.
Just got two yesterday from a friend and won’t even charge. The case is green but when I unplug it and push the button it shows up orange so when I plug it back in it’s same thing and been changing now for a few hours and when I take the buds out they are blinking red and green
Had mine for a month and had lower volume in the right ear bud, connection issues and peeking noise.
I wish I saw this video before buying those headphones. I regret it. Exactly the same issues with mine.
I have interference problems such as disconnections for seconds always on the left side of my ear, I just updated the latest firmware and it's still the same, it's very annoying because I paid a not cheap price for these "premium" headphones and they haven't corrected the problem from interference from the same left side.
Would you say it’s worth at $200?
No.
They sound incredible and do a fair amount of things very well but I cannot recommend these
I agree it's not worth the price!
@@FoggyDigital thanks for replying! Just one more thing, did these issues occur even after updating the firmware on the buds from the app?
@@amarecano Not a problem. Yes the update did not fix any issues
@@FoggyDigital gotcha. thanks again!
I got the same earbugs...and never had those problems....😂😂😂
Do me a favor try the new Bose Quit Comfort 2... It has the best Noise Cancelation in the market 1000% and the sound quality is top tier.
Bet
And for 179?
No problem at all
Hey idk if you still answer your comments but if you were to go back to the mtw 3 or the technics az what would you choose because I’m on the fences?
I still do not recommend the mtw3. I don't know about the technics az, so sadly I am only halfway helpful here.
@@FoggyDigital I went ahead and got the technics because I didn’t want to risk the chance thank you and would you try the mtw3 again or do you still see the same result in other peoples reviews?
My Google Pixel Buds 2nd Gen and Pixel Buds Pro both went out of sync sometimes. Which I agree isn't good enough.
Shitty company wont buy anything from them anymore.
what eabuds do you recommend?
soundcore liberty 3 pros
So far I don't have any recommendations. My next review is on the buds 2 pro.
But I definitely am going to checking out the soudcore liberty 3 pros and the pixel bud pro as well
@@qmousey right! for 100 bucks those things are fire in the ear holes!
Sound quality is over perfect. Everything else are shit.
Definitely not the MTW3. I have not tried the Beats. But I have the Sammy buds pro 2 and they are super comfy and small
@@FoggyDigital I have the Beats Fit Pro still new in the box. I may buy the refurbished MTW3 and try them out to see if they hurt my ears or not. As I believe they have a 30 day money back thing where you can send them back for a refund.
just got some for XMAS they don't work at all spent 3 days trying to do everything i'm am so pissed off
@Foggy Entertainment what are your thoughts on the Samsung galaxy pro 2 true wireless
Check out my video on it ua-cam.com/video/eizk6hG_5-s/v-deo.html
Okay, so I had mine for 3 months and the most relatable issue was the pain from the wingtips in BOTH of my ears. However, you can fix this by selecting the no-wingtip option and then buying a seperate eartip - not wingtip - made of memory foam. It feels SO much better and improves sound quality and noise reduction. But the issue you can't fix is transparency mode having a constant sizzeling sound that can be heard with music playing.
Build quality is trash mine stopped working after 9 months and I don't use them alot overpriced trash
pieces of crap that didn't even last a year - biggest waste of $340
To be fair all your problems are transparency doodoo stuff which personally i dont even care, if the sound quality is top notch that´s all that matters to me for a pair of earplugs, i was thinking about getting the airpods pro2, but after hearing the sound quality difference between airpods and momentum3, im 100% sticking with senheiser
