As this is such a common complaint and also a neck breaking job to sort out, why don't washing machine makers make the 'roof' detachable for easy cleaning?
I had the same issue with our Smeg machine--I want to remove the actual nozzle unit as you say and there are some screws at the front but there must still be some fixing screw which is behind the front panel which has the display/controls so don't really fancy disturbing that, as I think that would be the only way to clean it fully. It quite frustrating when manufacturers build things that make a simple task quite difficult to carry out.
Issue that I seem to be having is not that water isn't coming out of the jets at the top, but rather that water is coming out but the water and fabric softener isn't then draining out. Instead, once wash is finished, if I open the drawer, the fabric softner compartment is filled with fabric softner and water, so seems to be more of an issue with the drainage than the jets. Have you ever come across this before?
It's possible there is a blockage in the hole that goes down into the drum. But could be that water jets aren't spraying fast enough. Give the inside roof a good clean with a small brush
Here you go, just a quick shoutout to your Son. Sorry I couldn't switch off Adverts as it's a Vertical Short and it's auto enabled. This is a Private video ua-cam.com/users/shortsGZLdLfwJKqs
Yes they spray water into the detergent drawers. It’s basic physics same way when a toilet flushes it just moves the water. The detergent goes into the drum just via the jets and gravity
@@LurgsHowToGuides thank you very much. It means the strong water jets splash soap and softener out of its compartment and flow down into drum. This is my long time question because I don’t see any drain holes in the softener compartment and a tiny hole in the main soap compartment.
My issue on my Bosch Classixx 1200 uses the same words, but stems from a different problem. Mine fills with water and stays full of water. I'll carry out your instructions anyway as i have already removed the tray to clean but not thought to 'look up' Update. As you do i only decided to read other comments after i'd left mine. So after reading one of your replies to someone with my problem and suggesting the tube might be blocked, i went and removed the tray, washed out the gunk and managed to get the tap to flow straight into the hole. It just filled the tray. I think last time i tried this i mistook the tray overflowing for the hole being clear, or just tipping it out...? Anyway, after now establishing that my hole IS blocked and establishing the fact that it did nothing by turning the tap on more i decided to get a small funnel, a jug, fill the jug with water and holding it about three feet above the funnel(which was held straight against the tube's hole)poured the water into the funnel. DON'T TRY THIS unless you want to soak the front of your shorts, leg, front of kitchen unit and carpet! Fortunately there were no witnesses... So opted for Plan B instead. So outside into the garden, hose pipe connected, smallest stream on spray gadget selected and with the tray on the ground aimed the jet at the hole. Water went everywhere. No idea if blockage had gone until i picked it up, moved the flap so i could see the hole and gave it an enema up it's outlet and was pleased to see water squirting up out of the hole! 36 minutes after initial comment. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Thanks for the suggestion. I can recommend the hose pipe method, not so much the funnel and jug 😏 When i 'looked up' inside i was pleasantly surprised to see it was 90% clean but will give it a brush tomorrow.(using spare old toothbrush kept for exercises such as this)
Oh dear you should have watched the video first, I make it clear you need to block that hole up. Nothing you can do really without turning machine upside down (very tricky). Else you'll have to take it all apart. Maybe try a vacuum cleaner nozzle down it and see if you can suck it out.

The drainage holes area in my washing machine is dirty even after i cleaned it. Any tips to make ut clean like yours?
It may be ingrained if it’s been there a long time. I just use a hard brush and cleaning solutions

What are those holes on the roof for? Are they to spray water in the dispenser? If so, how the soapy water get out of the compartments? Thanks

What if the softener and detergent dispensers end up with water in them after use?
That is normal as long as there’s not too much left. Leave drawer open after a wash to help ventilation

Dr Batman washing machine cleaner :D
Yeh that would be a better name! 😎
😎
But our washer is brand new!
Maybe the washing programme you are using doesn’t use the softener compartment. Check the instructions
