Criminaly underrated video. So much good information in one place. Thank you for helping keep our bird babies safe
Thank you for compiling this really informative video! I want to send this to everyone I know who sees my cockatiel and goes "aww i want a parrot!"
The thing about different types of birds is so true. Personally, I love chattery birds. What I dont love is birds that can let out ear-shattering screams, which is part of why I will never have a conure. Budgies and 'tiels are my favorite birds.
I was exceptionally lucky that even though i wasn't so prepared for a bird everything worked out. My family has helped greatly with my busy schedule that didnt allow me to interact as much as I should, and I didn't have an air purifier and while I expected to get a bird I didn't expect to get her when I did. I have been making changes in my schedule to make more time for my bird, and getting her more stuff, doing more shaping, etc. The air purifier thing isn't a problem because we already have a lot of layers of air purification due to us living by the ocean and my dad's sensitive resporatoru system. Me and my budgie are so happy and we have been making it work, your videos have been so helpful. Thank you!!
Amazing! This should be posted everywhere potential bird owners can watch it. Some thoughts from my experience:
My Parrotlet is LOUD! It is happy loud but I'm glad I own a house with a larger property, I could not have him in an apartment.
When he takes a bath he gets water on everything in about a 4 foot radius and he can fling seeds up to 6 feet away. Crazy from something no bigger than a chicken egg. I recommend a robot vacuum scheduled to run around their main area after your bird goes to bed (we have a separate sleep cage for him in our bedroom).
He eats Harrson's Adult Super Fine pellets as his main diet. I clean his cage every morning and give him fresh water, strawberry, spinach and broccoli. We have tried several times to introduce new fresh fruits and vegetables but he will not eat them.
We have enough feathers collected to make two new birds.
We have had Neo for 11 years and I still learned a lot from this, thank you!
Volunteering at a bird rescue gives you an idea of what bird ownership is like. Thank you for all your wonderful advice ❤️
I love that you clarified that each bird is an individual and not their species (and inevitably if you think they are going to be one way, you get the weirdo that's the other). Just like not every labrador makes a good retriever, and I own a lazy husky. MY Parrotlet goes on chattering yelling binges that outdo my conure every time.
This one is one of your best videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
"Feathers will be absolutely everywhere and you will start a collection of them in a jar" 😆I feel so seen. Glad to learn this is a canon event in the bird ownership journey and not just me being crazy.
......."and they look like they've exploded "!!!! 😂
Thank you for all the info! You’re my favorite bird UA-camr! ❤
Keep in mind that they’re *expensive*. Cage? Expensive. Toys? Expensive. Food? Expensive. Vet visits? Expensive.
This is excellent info! Thank you! I hope everyone considering/wanting a bird would see it and even those who already have birds and are unaware or neglectful would too. I really like buying bird toys from BirdTricks online here in the US. They’re only made of natural bird safe materials, there is no plastic or dangerous metals used and all the toys are destructible. There are many different toy shapes, sizes and colors. They ship all over the world. Their pellets are great too- being cold pressed to retain as much nutrients as possible, no added sugar, no fillers, no colors or other garbage ingredients.
As usual I love your videos. They are so informative. As you said in a different video ...we never stop learning... it is so true. I learned something new today from your presentation. Thank you. I have a green Quaker like you. ❤
What kind of tree branches can I use. I live in Florida
You are so correct as usual, much appreciated all info. you give!! I might know alot but you always surprise me with new facts or something very helpful❤❤❤
Love the intro ando all the information
What are your thoughts about a certain bird safe candle that is available? Really good info btw!
What if your bird ONLY eats pellets??
Mine won't touch fruits or veggies (sometimes they will eat peas.)
My bird has yet to play with toys. Any tips?
You're the best ❤
I would like for you to send me the names of the websites. It was too fast 😊 do you know of one natural toy maker company like Back Zoo Nature in Europe?
