Bar spacing and sizing is so important that i wish I would have known before my bird passed away due to him getting his wing caught on the floor of the cage. It was a large cage where he was able to fly but I never knew about the possibility of him injuring himself. Hopefully other bird owners will take this video seriously so they can prevent any injury and death for our feathery companions ♡
Don't apologize for talking a lot about cages :). You’ve helped me and my birds a lot, plus you’ve said so many new things that can make them much happier.
I actually stumbled upon your channel by pure accident. I've recently inherited a cockatiel. He's an older boy and has honestly been treated horribly most of his life. His cage is entirely too small, he was sat in a room alone and never allowed out of his cage, and his previous owners smoked in the house. When he would scream because he was bored and lonely, they would yell at him, bang on his cage, cover him, etc. I didn't know anything about birds but I knew he needed a better home than that. In my research I stumbled upon your channel, and I just want to say a massive THANK YOU because your videos have helped us improve his life so much. With your advice, we now have a much larger cage on the way with plenty of perches and toys for him to enjoy, and we hope that making him more comfortable will be one more step in getting him to trust us.

PVC is a good way to make cheap DIY stands just to let you know. Just wrap them with natural cord and you are good. If you really want to get creative though PVC bends very easily when heated up so you could use a heat gun(heat it outside as heating inside is neither good for you or your bird.) Then you could bend it into whatever shape you want.
Don't forget to mention that you need to bathe your bird regularly. This will clean their feathers and get rid of dander. A spray bottle, a shallow bowl of water, anything similar to this will do. Just no shampoo as this will damage the protective coating on their feathers.

My bird when I first got him he was SO SO easy to tame For some reason !it was absolutely amazing 😃🤩I would love another furry friend to play with him,
But I brought 2 other love birds after him! One named Luki who passed away only when he was 4 month old (He was only with us for 4 month until he passed away from a unknown disease probably mites or an infection) and one named Pistachio who we got this on May and he is very healthy!
You might want to consider a bird that has little to no dander. Pionus parrots are not noisy, they are more independent, and don't produce dander. Typically birds that are from the grasslands like cockatiels, and budgies produce dander. Tropical birds on the other hand don't.

I’m about to be an owner of a white faced cockatiel and I am so excited the only thing I have been searching is cockatiel care and this helped me super much thank you!
Hi! Do you think you could make a video about how to train an aggressive bird? I have a cockatiel who was really good,
I got an other cockatiel for him and he started to get aggressive to the point he will dive at me too scare me away, the other
Bird is scared (he is smaller) but He is starting to step up , whenever I take him to train him my other bird starts to tweet
Very loudly and anxiously, they share a cage since they like it more this way and they are not aggressive to each other.
I’m getting a Green Cheek and I love ur vids!!!
Great, there are lots of green cheeks in rescues all over. They really are great parrots in the rescue world.

Omg thank you so much ❤️❤️ you’re too sweet
Omg a few minutes ago the worst thing happened my bird cut her foot (we don’t know how) she was bleeding bad but thank god we were able to stop it! Right now she’s sleeping but my dad went to go get steamed veggies bc she won’t drink water 💦 she won’t bend her foot and she didn’t loose enough blood to die thank goodness but I’m worried if she will start plucking bc we had to hold her you probably did not read this all, but if you did thank you for listening AND FOR ANYONE ELS GOING THROUGH THIS THE REASON SHES PROBABLY ALIVE IS BECSUE WE STAYED CALM AND I PRAYED! What do I do if she starts plucking though
Its a month later is your bird okay now ...

I love your videos!! I now am going adopt a bird from my local shelter! I got all the supplies that you have mention greatly in most of your videos!
Adoption is the best, your an amazing human being! 🥳
Yess your future bird will be so lucky to have you!!! ❤️
I've had to bing through so many of these in under 3 days because I'm hopefully gonna get a lovebird at the end of the month
I have always wanted a bird. And now I am getting one, I have done so much research but this specific video helped me pick out my items! So thank you!
Thank you for all of your thoughtful videos! They are so thorough with detailed information. We are getting a cockatiel and now know so much more about how to give it its best life!! Got some of your Amazon items through your page, so hope you are getting credit for that too. Thank you again!!
Kermit cracks me up. I'm pretty sure he thinks your hair is his cozy cabin. 😂 He definitely has hair envy. When he pops his head out, he looks like he is wearing a wig!
Her : Amazon has a lot of bird supplies
My country : We don’t do that here
*Relates In Canadian*
@@fatimaa4741 which part of Canada? I live in BC and there's LOADS of bird supplies on Amazon

Elle " Can anyone tell me what happened here?? " Bird " I'm just doing my stuff. "
This was a really helpful vid I am getting a green cheek conure in less than a month now and watching other vids like this to make sure I give it a happy life
I just received my Elle's Essential Box for small birds ! It is fantastic !!! This is perfect for setting up a really GREAT cage !!!! Thank you so much !!!! It was worth every penny !!
I’m trying to convince my parents to get me a bundgie as a therapy animal to treat my anxiety and depression, but now I’m anxious about failing and that’s fun
My bird when I first got him he was SO SO easy to tame For some reason !it was absolutely amazing 😃🤩I would love another furry friend to play with him,
You should get another bird :D that would make them sooooo happy
@@ArtisticAlly123 He flew away like 6 month ago._. But he was a good birdy and I miss him so much. :(
But I brought 2 other love birds after him! One named Luki who passed away only when he was 4 month old (He was only with us for 4 month until he passed away from a unknown disease probably mites or an infection) and one named Pistachio who we got this on May and he is very healthy!
@@T0mtoma Aw I’m sorry to hear that :( I have two budgies right now
My grandmas getting a bird! We don’t know witch kind though were thinking
I suggest a cockatiel, since they are calm, which is going to be best for elderly people :)
You might want to consider a bird that has little to no dander. Pionus parrots are not noisy, they are more independent, and don't produce dander. Typically birds that are from the grasslands like cockatiels, and budgies produce dander. Tropical birds on the other hand don't.
You should go visit a rescue and see your options, who knows a bird could chose you there. 😊
@@estie_birbs281 shelters and rescues are overcrowded you are right. They get a bad rap because people immediately think that all rescue birds have a screaming problem, are pluckers, bite, and etc.
Fantastic video, I be buying a cage and toys for a Senegal parrot this video it’s made me aware of things to get that I didn’t think of so thank you for that.
Thanks Elle! I have been thinking about getting budgies for a couple of years and have seriously study the subject for a year. Thank you so much for relieving a lot of my anxiety.
I have all of these. The only thing you didn’t mention was Kermit. He’s adorable
Ducky is the best thing ever should I get one
Only if you know what you are getting yourself into, and make sure you do research. UA-cam is not enough.
The world is being taken over by Ducky’s

I got everything I needed on same day I got my parakeet. That was on April 27th of 2021. And it's been months later. And he is doing amazing. I
Always follow your videos. And I learned from them. And I watch other videos on UA-cam about him to. I'm still learning how to care for him. And soon enough he is getting a friend. And yes I'm going to quarantine it before adding it to my first bird.
That is a great list! I will try to get all of the stuff!
Thank you for making these videos! They are so helpful
Your budgies are so cute and friendly.
I have a pair of male exhibition budgies, I got them together 3 years ago and never had the heart to separate them for taming.
Off topic, but your hair is so pretty! So shiny
Wow nice 👍 cage setup for your cocktail
