His work in 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead', 'State of Grace', and 'Romeo is Bleeding' are three of the most underrated performances of the 90s. If you're a fan and haven't seen all three of those, watch them immediately.

History of violence is a good example. Was a good movie because of the director, Cronenberg, but that could've been a tour de force role by viggo, and I thought he failed. Don't see it in Foxx either. Denzel Washington I think is a great actor. Again, guess we have different concept of chameleon. I think actors like oldman, sean penn, depp, hoffman, day lewis, streep,etc. are chameleon actors ,where they completely transform. I think Denzel is a great actor in that he has the depth of character, but it always seems to be denzel,which I don't mind with him, as he has the depth, so it still works. I've seen various viggo movies. I think he's a very limited actor, were little depth or range. History of violence is a good example. Was a good movie because of the director, Cronenberg, but that could've been a tour de force role by viggo, and I thought he failed.

Denzel Washington I think is a great actor. Again, guess we have different concept of chameleon. I think actors like oldman, sean penn, depp, hoffman, day lewis, streep,etc. are chameleon actors ,where they completely transform.
I think Denzel is a great actor in that he has the depth of character, but it always seems to be denzel,which I don't mind with him, as he has the depth, so it still works.

I completely agree, Viggo is so underrated as an actor (Primarily I think that's because he doesn't do any of the Hollywood BS haha) but they're both incredible and they really do their research and really get absorbed into the person they're playing, Viggo's just incredible how far he'll go to make his performances a little more real.
