Another huge advantage in GN's show is that his guests (mostly) appear *together*, not sequentially, so they interact not just with the host but also with each other. As a result, some of the show's most endearing or hilarious moments come when guests of different ages, backgrounds, or career arcs interact with each other. No American talk shows do this anymore, and we're worse off for it.

He brings the gay uncle/gay BFF vibe, which I love. Intellugent, laughs at himself, the innuendo, saying inappropriate things, gets guests to share crazy stories, has a knack for scheduling the right guests together. And he’s never mean. He may tease, but he’s never trying to cut anyone down or make them feel bad. That is a rarity. ❤
I’ve never heard a single soul complain about not liking him, him hurting their feelings, or not wanting to go back, saying they regretting they’d gone, etc.
