I’ve just fitted these crap panels and realized as fitting that they dent and actually crack when any remote pressure put onto them. I have to fit a rain shower head tomorrow and shower screen weighing 21kg, not sure how to fit securely without cracking the panels. Any ideas?
@absr671 •Yep do what I am doing get them off and out entire thing a nightmare our builders put it in our kitchen nothing was sealed it's horrific -Entire thing going they even painted round the ceiling light 😱...Only use people that can separately do Electrics /Plumbing etc -Ours looks dreadful the shower is leaking backwards ..I think an ice pick would help me
Looks a lot easier and less time consuming to install than tiles, plus easier for maintenance and cleaning. Just the risk of scratching during installation and cutting we have to watch out for!
What happens to that material with deep cleaning products ie bleach etc is it not going to de colour or warp the material over time or do you have to use specific cleaning products when doing a deep clean once fitted etc 👍🏻
Hi. Thanks for commenting. My Mrs uses lime scale remover on ours at home. Which is fine on ours The panels are very easy to clean. Different brands recommend different products. So worth double checking
Tricky getting a good fixing into hollow panelling. We normally try and put wood behind all fixing points. If not an option. Plasterboard fixings and silicone
Hi normally when pipes are in the wall they have some sort of lagging around them or sleeving to protect them and insulate the pipes. Not all plumbers bother tho.
You can't really fix this retrospectively, it happens because the surface you've attached the boards to isn't flat. Convex or concave in the centre will cause this.
Just ripped out tiles in shower in my son's house. Had been tiled on plasterboard. Plasterboard absorbed moisture from the shower, expanded, and all the tiles had hairline cracks. Don't do it. You can get special backing board for showers.

Hey guys How do I contact you to put up a few shower panels? I have them and shower tray is in but my plumber doesn’t want to install them.. wondered if you could help a damsel in distress 🙏 I’m in Eastbourne - Hampden Park 👍
Hey. Thanks for watching. Email me some pics and what panels you have. We are super busy but if it’s only a small job I could squeeze it in as you are local. Info@everlastimprovements.co.uk
Getting the panelling is ok but it’s finding a bathroom fitter that doesn’t fucking complain about how they can’t do panelling or making excuses is the problem
Oh dear, no tanking around the bath, careless use of the saw and not bothered that he scratched the customers panels, using the bath as a storage receptacle for heavy objects and so proud he shows it all off on youtube.
😂 what tanking would have you done around the bath? The toilet in the bath is doing no harm. It’s actually a fantastic idea to weigh the bath down to make sure no movement in the future! This is one of my properties so no customers involved. So please don’t worry.
@@everlastbuilders yep the bath should not be used as storage for stuff The bath should be full of water before fixing panels and silicon and the strips are in the wrong place Have you done this before mate
@@MrWardnine haha you are a wally. the weight of the panels hold the bath down nicely. If the bath is fixed correctly there will be no movement anyways. also thats a 30kg toilet in the bath for good measure. strips? do you mean end caps?
These panels are cheap but absolutely crap, you can dent these panels with your finger... You definitely get what you pay for.... Any bracket mounted against these panels will dent it...
I know I am pedantic, but when putting the small piece in on the first bathroom you kept saying to get it level......level is horizontal PLUMB is the word you are looking for for an upright, good tips otherwise, thank you
Haha brilliant! I don’t know why I always just say level. Must be a old habit! Thanks for watching and commenting. Il try get my wording right next time!
Thank you for showing us this lighter weight paneling. Good work.
My pleasure
A really helpful video. Not sure what I'm going to do in my bathroom yet, but this definitely helped. Thanks
Awesome . Really good tips and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you work. “Jobs a good’un!”
Thank you for your kind words! Glad the video helped mate!

Did you manage? I have been thinking of taking off the tile and using cheaper panels at 65£ a board.

Do you put a trim or silicone along the top?
Just silicone. A quadrant trim can be stuck if required.
Hi mate how can i get in touch with you to get my bathroom done i live in Twickenham
Sorry mate. I’m based in Eastbourne and don’t like travelling anymore! Good luck. Hope you manage to get someone local to do it

Yee Haw 🤠
What about the shower screen for the bath? Did you fit one and did you screw straight into the board?

What do good plumbers do to hot and cold pipes when they are close together think about it a cold wall and hot water running down the board.

Would you put the silver coving up first or the corner strips?
Corner strip then work your way round the room
Why the gap on straight edges? Must be a product defect.
Which tradesman would you need for this job?
How do you get rid of the tiny gap in the centre of 2 panels when top and bottom are tightly fit?
You can't really fix this retrospectively, it happens because the surface you've attached the boards to isn't flat. Convex or concave in the centre will cause this.
Can this be used over normal plasterboard in a shower?

The way your handling those boards, scratching them up, gaps, you'd not be getting paid for that shit and off the job... It is what it is

Hey guys
Did you receive my emails? xx
Good lad.

Haha sorry to hear that mate. Hope you get it sorted. Panelling is a tough game if you don’t know the tricks.
@@everlastbuilders😭thanks man
where did you get these panels from
Hi. Company called eurocell. They are dotted round the country so you may have a local branch to look at the panels. They are 1000x2400mm

First time you fall into that stuff you're gonna put a hole in it! Lol why would anyone use that crap?
Economy cuts 😂 nice work tho 👍🏼
I'll do it myself.
Glad he's not doing mine
Any reason in particular lol?
