    Found these boards hard to get in with seamless joints as walls were so bowed caused a gap only about a mm but can see the line

    • @everlastbuilders
      @everlastbuilders  11 місяців тому +1

      Yes some boards are a pain especially if your trying to lock in full high boards. Bowed walls or flat walls it’s a battle! Also some colours/patterns show board joins more than others

    Should you remove tiles before installing? Whereabouts are you based?

    • @everlastbuilders
      @everlastbuilders  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi thanks for watching. I prefer to strip tiles of and start fresh. But if your tiles are firm and you have the space. There is no need. You can go straight on top. I’m based down south. A small town called ☀️ Eastbourne

    Are the newer 10mm pvc panels any better than the old ones? They are about a third of the price of multi panels.

    • @everlastbuilders
      @everlastbuilders  Рік тому +2

      Yes definitely a bit better theses days. Some of the hollow panels are made a bit thicker now.

    What have you put under the board where it meets the wet room vinyl is it just a bead of silicone on the bottom or is there a trim. how would I go about using the boards in a property that has wooden been floors. Would I need to waterproof the floor by using cement boards and waterproof the joints and tile on top? sorry if I’m not explaining it to well

    • @everlastbuilders
      @everlastbuilders  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Conor sorry for late reply. Yes there is a trim at the bottom of the boards that the boards sit on and slot into the vinyl. If your tiling floor for wet room. Yes I would recommend cement board or similar. If you vinyl flooring it won’t need tanking. Just need flatting of with thin ply. Hope that helps mate

    • @RubberduckbathroomsCoUk
      @RubberduckbathroomsCoUk 2 роки тому

      Multipanel have this trim for the bottom: www.rubberduckbathrooms.co.uk/multipanel-base-profile-type-x-by-grant-westfield
      Mermaid Panels have this trim: www.rubberduckbathrooms.co.uk/mermaid-pvc-vinyl-floor-trim-2400mm
      Mermaid trim is perfect for when you fit the wall boards first, where the multipanel trim lends its self more to fitting the floor first then the wall boards.

    What’s the difference between yr boards and once’s that u replaced. Is your plastic but made better?
    Can I ask where u get them from.
    Thanks

    • @everlastbuilders
      @everlastbuilders  3 роки тому +5

      Hi thank you.
      The boards I pulled of where hollow plastic panels. I do use them sometimes when a customer insists they want cheap one. But ones I prefer to use are called multipanel. They are made of 10mm waterproof ply with a laminated front so they are solid. I will be doing a video installing the hollow plastic panels in the next couple of weeks, so you can see the difference. We buy panels direct from multipanel but there are plenty of suppliers out there.

      Try reading what he says before gobbing off - he said he PREFERS the 10mm multi-panels, but obviously if the customer doesn't want to pay for the more expensive panel and wants the cheaper stuff then that's what the customer gets!

    • @everlastbuilders

      They can be stuck to uneven surfaces. But the more flatter and level the walls are, the easier it will be to stick the Panels. Good luck

      @@everlastbuilders cheers yes they really are fragile. The corners especially I get the ones returned to the factory for very cheap hence why I have loads but 9 times out of 10 the corners have been damaged. The odd few have a kick mark in like you had shown. I don't mind corners missing due to cutting to size though. I'll take a look at your other video and thanks for the reply.
