    This is a wall pilates beginner workout with weights. It is approximately 20 min Pilates glutes abs and arms workout with technique tips at the beginning for a safe and effective workout. It is ok to repeat this workout daily, however, the best way for you to build strength is to increase the challenge placed on your muscles over time. You can do this by repeating this workout for an additional round or 2, adding heavier ankle weights, or completing another video after this.     As a guy i’m sure I’d catch hell from my family and friends for doing wall pilates but I’m 55 and I feel great after only a couple days of doing this! I always kept myself in shape when I was young and let myself go over the years. This is an excellent way of regaining flexibility, stamina, stance and strength. I actually can’t wait for my next session! Thank you Rachel!

    I'm so amazed that I made it to day three and I'm looking forward to day four!!! I have to say It's rare that I stick to a routine but I actually think I can do this! It's so empowering.

    I did mat Pilates in my 40s and 50s and then moved to a new area. Studios here only offer the Reformer but that felt a little unsafe for me at 63 with osteoporosis. Wall Pilates is a perfect way to help decrease my steadily thickening middle. And this 28-day challenge is a great way to keep me accountable!! Day 3 in the books!

    I have struggled with my weight and rough PMS symptoms for the last couple of years. I really love this workouts and the momentum they make me feel. On day 15, I am able to feel I have better coordination when bending, better mobiliy and my PMS symptoms are not taking over me. Did I mention how energized you feel after each workout, like a rush to keep doing more 😅. Thanks Rachel you have changed my life ❤.

    It’s so great to find something that I can do at any energy level, when I’m struggling with PMS or maybe haven’t slept well, or haven’t eaten enough or been working too hard. Better to do something like this every day rather than struggle to do a different kind of workout every so often.
    I had a dance teacher that used to do the same warm-up with every level of class and she always said you work the warm-up, my top level students sweat during this warm-up because the better you get at it, the harder you can make it work for yourself. It’s so great to have a workout that you can control like that, that you can engage the muscles harder and with more intensity the stronger they get.

      That’s such a great point! Yes focusing and moving with control can make the simplest movements much more of a challenge! So glad these workouts fit will for u

    Day three (27.06.2024) here we go, thought my glutes might not take it after having done an early morning reformer class today but yay! even the 10 second hold at the end wasn't too bad!

    Day 15!! My kiddo sat next to me saying “go mama go!” Your voice and music are so soothing and calming that it keeps him chill and allows me to focus!

    Day 3. Oooh, this was a tough one. I opted not to wear the ankle weights (thank goodness!) … at least not today. I did wear them for the arms. That last 10 second hold was challenging. Onward! 😊

    This workout was great! First 2 days I did once. 3rd day I tried 2xs. Man...feel it in my legs, arms, belly, chest, and booty 😊

      That’s fantastic! I’m glad to be your intro to Pilates! This is different from what you would find in a studio but it is based on those exercises, and hopefully if you enjoy this plan you can try other types of Pilates as well! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 proud of you for sticking to the plan!

    Amazing 20 min. I was doing them without ankle weights, but i can still feel every muscle in my body (and I’m gonna feel more tomorrow for sure ahahahah).

I know honestly the wall surprised me too.. they don’t train us much with the wall so when I started trying Pilates moves on the wall I’m like 🥵 it’s so much harder than I thought!     Hi Rachel. I've just started wall pilates and after looking at HEAPS of videos, I love yours the most! I'm also doing HIIT on the rebounder so I find the pilates a great supplementary exercise. I'm in my 60's and have decided to get in shape and I'm feeling really good. Losing weight, toning and being healthy. Its never too late. Thanks Rachel....

    Could someone please tell me the trick to not sliding back on the floor with every movement?

      Great question! As the glutes fatigue and they can’t keep us lifted, we press more to try to stay lifted, but the pressing ends up pushing us away from the wall. I see the same thing happen on the reformer. I would bet you are pressing into the wall firmly to be able to lift up more. Try to use the wall just for support and try not to press as firmly into it, even if that means you don’t lift up as much in your bridge. The more you do these workouts, the stronger your glutes will get and the easier it will be to stay lifted without coming away from the wall! You could also use a mat underneath if you weren’t using one. I hope that helps!

    This is my alltime favourite to do again workout, I always feel my upper abs and even my lower abs thanks to the weights. And a total body workout, even arms and glutes🍑.

    This one was awesome! Day 3 done and my legs and arms were sore from yesterday. Good one for the abs! I’m have major nerve pain in one foot and can do these wall exercises without pain! Thank you Rachel!

    Day 15 ✅ Doing 2-a-days this week to catch up on some days missed in order to finish the 28 days before I go out of town. This one is still the most challenging by far. I’m not using ankle weights, but the back to back single leg work is absolutely brutal! Still
    having to modify with either a bridge hold or moving from feet on the wall to the floor.

    Just completed Day 3, and feeling a little discouraged by how difficult these are for me. I try with all my strength, but it's very painful. I know it's because I haven't consistently worked out, so I just have to keep pushing. Even if I do less than the standard, eventually I'll get there with practice. I'm just proud of myself for making it this far, and not spending all day in bed anymore.

    Love the work out! I’m new to wall Pilates and I’m 58. Still trying maintain my figure with low impact exercises has been a challenge. I would like to see longer videos . Not sure if it is too much to go for 1 hour. But love love love the pace! 22:39

    Thank you Rachel! Day 15 for me - I borrowed the streak freeze concept from our son's duo lingo and went for a swim. 😊 Thank you for your warm encouragement. I have plantar fascitis so can no longer run or walk long distances but I'm coming to think that's a good thing because otherwise i might not have gotten into strengthening my whole body. This is awesome.

    Loving these workouts! I'm a few months post-partum and need to start moving again and this is definitely just what I needed, low impact and not too much time, but still good to engage those muscles! And you explain it so well :) Thank you!

      I love to hear that!! And yes especially with a baby at home it's so nice to do at least something, but nothing so long that it feels daunting/hard to fit in! I'm glad you like these!

    Day 15 and I was able to button pants that I couldn’t 15 days ago! I haven’t changed eating habits or my alternating yoga and walking. Loving these results! Thank you Rachel ❤

    I got sick after day 2 and haven't been able to do the workouts but I'm feeling much better now! My abs were burning throughout this whole video but I pushed thru! Day 3 is done!!

    Loving the workouts - I do these after a 30 min walk - I’m nursing a rotator cuff injury so these exercises are great for me - I just modify when it hurts my shoulder.

    Day 3 ✅ Definitely challenging and need to work up to being able to stay lifted in a bridge for the one legged movements all in a row! Modified, but got it done!
