Queenstown is our favourite place in New Zealand, if you're considering visiting NZ you HAVE to check it out. Finding a well located and decent hotel can be hard though, so when we heard about a smart hotel called mi-pad we knew that we had to stay there for our Queenstown accommodation! Hotels aside, Queenstown is one of the most well balanced places in New Zealand in our opinion. There's incredible sites all around you, the mountains and ski town feeling make it feel European. There's so much to see and do here, they're home to the world famous Fergburger and a trip up on the Queenstown Skyline Gondola gives epic views out across the lake.
Fergburger is word famous, in fact, it's reportedly THE best burger in the world. We do have to say it is something special for sure, best in the world though? Hard one to say.
Even though we weren't that keen on doing the luge we still thought it was worth going up the Queenstown Skyline Gondola - there's so many things to do up the top, but it's honestly worth it just for the views up there! New Zealand is such an amazing place, we're beyond proud.

I visited Queenstown a week after lockdown ended. A unique opportunity to see the place so quiet and give it some support. No queue for Fergburger at all! Walked straight up to the counter. I had the chicken burger and omg it was delicious!
Stunning in the winter also..

Queenstown is one of my most favourite places, Our trip to Milford was amazing,staying the night at one of the DOC campsites was a highlight of our trip.

I just discovered your channel and am so thankful for your NZ afventures. My husband and I spent 3 weeks traveling the north and south islands for our honeymoon in December 2018. We fell in love with the country, and we've never recovered (in the best way possible). The best way we've found to describe our feelings is to say we feel homesick for NZ. We can't wait to return! Keep up the great content all around! ❤

What an absolutely fabulous location! The more I see of NZ, the more I like it. Great Stacey reactions to the ambient lighting and I love the tech at the hotel. There is no way I would have ridden in that gondola :) so I think the little f-bomb was absolutely justified!! New word for my vocabulary: "ferg".

I lived in Queenstown for the 2016 and 2017 winters and what a gorgeous town, gotta check out red Rock Cafe and bar! They do a $10 breakfast (I believe possibly all day) and they have the cheapest beers in town! Chur!

Went on a gondola like that in Banff with my parents. Cannot believe my dad went because hes terrified of heights. He was crying but so proud of himself for doing it and said the view was worth it. I'm not afraid of heights, I'm afraid of the fall so I hate that sway. I sat facing out on the way down and freaked out lol. My dad was laughing me so I guess I was his distraction. 😂
Can just imagine this whole scene playing out as you explained it 🤣🤣 Going up is hard, but then you realise you gotta go back down!

We love goin to furgburger, they never disappoint, but you have to try the furg bakery next door, it’s sooooo good, breaky on the run before hitting the slopes 👌🏽

It is a very small beautiful town and it is very clean. Yes, it looks a little town in Europe. It must be cold during the winter.

devil burger > Ferg burger, also fat badgers is a pizza place. Also were you guys there before or after the large rain dump if so the routeburn is really nice.

I Visited Queenstown 40 years ago when i hitch hiked around NZ and worked on an apple orchard near Nelson just wondering do they still have the night club up the mountain?
Now that sounds like the proper way to see NZ and meet the locals! Doesnt appear to be a club up there any more, sadly
how many weeks ago were you at Milford Sound, as it's not readily accessible right now since the floods...
We were there just before the floods, so sad to hear about the roads, hopefully will be fixed up soon! Video live now
@@DanegerAndStacey i think it's not truly back on deck, still limited at times, not the M.Sound more to do with road access...plus it doesn't seem to be any better rain/weather wise. But hey, Auckland took in some more rain today...the drought has been pretty bad this year...
apparentley devil burger around the corner is owned by one of the original fregburger creators and are just as good for a much shorter wait time!
We hear this a lot - we've been there too and thought it was great. We've learnt to phone Fergburger ahead of time to avoid the lines now 😉

I'm sorry but Fergburger is over-rated -also waited an hour , any pub in Aus/NZ (eg. Cadrona Hotel) you can get a better burger - just average, imo.
Fair enough. It's like a rite of passage in QT though - we really wanted to try it and glad we did 😊
